  • If we are getting insta-blind back lets also get the built in Mori back. "That's hit for Survivor reflex and skill." <--just to quote you there.

We all have that moment where you start up a match, the camera pans, and you learn you're on . . .
    . . . Gosh darn it.

What are your least favorite maps?

    My personal dislikes:

    Survivor bane: Bloodlodge
    Killer bane: Ironworks of Misery

    As Survivor:

Rotten Field (simply because its boring)
The Game (simply because as a solo survivor potato teammates never do gens)
Haddonfield (console FPS, need I say more?)

    As Killer:
Rotten Fields (simply because its boring)
Lery's Memorial Hospital (only if I'm playing Nurse or Huntress)
Iron Works of Misery (pallet loops for days)
Haddonfield (console FPS, need I say more?)
Pale Rose (only the REED heavy version)
    Spirits new map (######### REEDS!)

There are maps I may dislike depending on what killer I'm playing but its more of a minor thing then full on dread.

  • The problem people have with pallet is that everyone seems to skip leg-day at the gym.
I never miss leg-day and my Myers is one beefy hunk of meat!

  • People have been offering legitimate balance ideas and completely biased balance ideas since day 1 of this games release. The developers over at BHVR clearly want this game to go as THEY intend and do not want to create a true horror game but rather a casual game of tag with knives.

Nothing has changed that hasn't been revert near instantly, nothing has improved that hasn't been mucked up in some way and nothing will make this game what people had truly hoped it could be. I'm not saying everyone has to jump on my train of thought here but it certainly saves you trouble when you learn you will have no affect on the community so long as the Devs are in the mindset of "we decide whats best".

For Honor is a great example of the road DBD is going down. Slow to improve anything, quick to revert changes, hype DLC that offers no community suggested changes and a dwindling amount of hope to see the game at the potential it could have reached. DBD won't "die" but it won't remain a huge success should another game come along that follows the asymmetrical horror theme properly.

I like to view DBD as PUBG vs Fortnite. We are simply waiting for that "Fortnite" comparison to take root in this genre to challenge DBD (PUBG)'s claim to the throne.

PS: I don't enjoy Fortnite but the analogy works all the same.

    EDITED TO CORRECT GRAMMAR

I ask this, as I believe tea bagging is being disrespectful to everyone, not just the one that you are tea bagging. Some of you may be asking, “Hi-Five?” Well, that answers the tea bagging question. A Hi-Five is facing the person while crouching successively, while tea bagging is showing your ass. Let’s have more Hi-Five’s, and you just might be surprised how killers react.

P.S. You can’t really Hi-Five at a pallet, so don’t try tricking yourself into thinking that you are.

I don't find t-bagging toxic or offensive since we don't have any other form of communication. I'll t-bag to show appreciation for a action a fellow survivor has taken, I'll t-bag to show I know I got outplayed by a killer (or if I got stuck in a corner and I'll t-bag as a means to show I know I messed up). Some people t-bag as a way to gather attention and to pull a killer away from a point of interest. Sure some people may mean it in a "disrespectful way" but at the end of the day its a animated character going from crouch to standing and WE are not affected game wise by this action.

I'd much rather see these" butt dances" then the vulgar slurs people scream in genuine hate using online voice comms.

You’re not good. I’m rank 5 killer main too so don’t give me that salty survivor bs. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it 😄

"If you camp your bad, if you tunnel your bad, if you use DS your bad, if you use instant heal your bad" same crap every post on here. I may not like everything I mentioned above but its in the game, its not being removed anytime soon (if at all) so lets all suck it up like adults and accept this fact. I play to have fun, I play to win, I play to kill time and I'll do it using whatever tools are available and whatever mood I'm feeling.

I bought the game and won't have someone else tell me how I'm suppose to play. Follow what rules the community created or don't I don't care play how you want.

My friend will be away from DBD, and games in general, for a long, long while and he gave me access to his account. We both play on Xbox One. I planned on surprising him when he gets back by having his favorite killer (Myers) fully prestiged with all the perks. The problem is that I have all DLC killers and he only has Myers.

Since I have access to his account on my console, I'm able to access all DLC's on his account even though he hasn't bought them, but I'm sure when he begins playing on his own Xbox again, he won't have those killers to play.

My question is, if I get all the DLC perks on one of his killers, will they be taken away from him when he returns to his own console?

You can get DLC perks from the shrine too meaning you do not need to have purchased the DLC in any way to acquire the perks. If you are to get his perks on his account then he will keep the perks.

I do not own Leatherface and have all his perks from the shrine alone. I still to this day own these perks and have still not bought Leatherface.

Then buff both. You have to agree the survival catagory of points is bullshit though.

As Tsulan suggested, I think instead of catagory caps at 8k, it should be a generalized cap at 32k. Allowing for more point gains on both sides, and more specialized roles.

Only problem there is that people who only want to be chased will ruin the game for those trying to do gens and escape. By making it mandatory to do at least a little of everything it creates incentives for players to participate in each category.

As a solo player I often end up doing most if not ALL the gens in my matches because people just want to be chased and hook rescue. If they remove the BP/Pip cap then these types of players will hyper focus those roles and really ruin the game for players looking to complete objectives and escape.

  • @Razorkiller
I don't use exhaustion perks so I'm not sure if the new hook change has been released or not but you can use DH or SB to escape that hit right after invulnerability now. There is of course still the BT effect that will help you too, but ultimately there will still be a chase sequence if someone wishes to tunnel you so you will still need to keep that up.

If they eventually find a way to slow the game down by giving survivors more then just generators to do I can easily see tunneling becoming less of a thing, especially if there becomes some sort of incentive not to tunnel (like a small extra BP sort of how survivors are rewarded for "safe unhook").

Either way we can only wait and see.

I'm just gonna say what I think quickly and let you all express your opinions here.
I don't see why killers are getting more bloodpoints on avarage than survivors, the bloodpoints should be splitted according to time and not to role, wether if you are a killer or a survivor, you're a human being behind a computer playing the same game, and it doesn't make sense to me that one player will make 23k bloodpoints and it would still count as a bad score(killer) and others would often finish a game with less than 10k points cause they got tunnled and proxy camped all game and had nothing to do about it... Point is.. The average bloodpoints per game should be around even for both killer and survivors, there is no reason for the killer to get more.. And I play mainly killer..
Another problem is how the campers and tunnlers get rewarded, the game is getting so frustrating to play at higher levels since basically 99 out of 100 killers got there by camping and assuring kills unfairly. And it rewards them with free pips.. Please help devs. listen out here.

The main reason Killers get more BP on average than a single survivor is because killers have no way to keep items and add-ons unlike survivors who have perks to farm both. Because of this Killers have to continual spend BP in their web to maintain a supply of add-ons, thus resulting in more BP needed to maintain a somewhat "balanced" economy.

Lets say I want to level up my Dwight to p3. Why should it be objectively better to play killer and dump all points into Dwight than just play survivor? Why is WGLF harder to get stacks for? Why is buffing survivor gains even bother you? Why do you care? It’s not gonna murder the game. If both killer and survivor go to end game, they should get around the same points, not 20k VS 28k

If Killers have to spend more BP to keep on par with add-on economy then why shouldn't they get more BP too help them stay even. A killer main shouldn't have to suffer the cost of spending extra BP to stay competitive with add-ons were survivors don't need to.

If a survivor wants to get add-ons and/or items they don't need to spend BP but can use perks to do so instead.

I agree that as far as the "perk" grind goes it is more beneficial to play killer but until we get a balanced economy with add-ons it has to stay this way.

Survivors can continue to play survivors to farm item/add-ons without needing BP.
Killers can continue to play killer to get add-ons by being reward a little extra BP.
Perk grind is currently another matter without a current BP balance that will work fairly for all.

Just another problem DBD currently has no answer for.

I dont use or need add ons on billy. On wraith, there is a massive surplus just from leveling them.

I still think you are missing the point.
If you consistently play a survivor (lets say Feng Min in this example) and you use items and add-ons, you will start to run out eventually. Now you can spend BP in the blood-web to re-supply what you lost OR you have the options to simply open chests in matches, run Plunders Instinct, run Ace in my Hole cough I mean Ace in the Hole, or both perks in tandem. This will allow you to get almost anything that isn't an ultra-rare simply from playing normal matches and not spending any BP.

Now if you consistently play a Killer (lets say Billy for this example) and you use add-ons, you will start to run out eventually. Now you can spend BP in the blood-web to re-supply what you lost OR...oh wait, there is no "OR" because Killers only have one method to re-supply add-ons and that is spending BP in a blood-web.

I seriously hope this gets my point across that Killers NEED that extra BP gain to help them keep up on their expenses in the blood-web.

This still balances out the survivor/killer "perk grind" in the long run too, because survivors don't need to spend as much on items and add-ons and can play the blood-web in a more "cost effective" way so as to only buy the cheapest stuff to advance.

killers will have more BP to spend but will also be spending that extra BP trying to get the rarer add-ons as they grind for perks.

At the end of the day both a Killer main and a Survivor main will be averaging out around the same grind time. If you wish to maximize the speed of your grind then I would highly recommend playing both sides of this game.

I'd like Killers to have a little bonus for landing a hit that isn't a lunge.

M1 hits are 500 Bloodpoints each, and the devs do not make a difference between lunges and regular hits.
I'd like to see that changed: Nobody ever does a normal hit anymore, since a lunge comes with many benefits and no additional negatives compared to regular hits.

Change the current "Hit" name to "Lunge" or "Lunge Hit".
Add a new action to Brutality called "Hit", which is worth at least more than 500 Bloodpoints.
One is gained doing normal hits, the other doing lunges.

Catching someone also doesn't happen all that often and is worth 600 BP.
The new "Hit" could be that much.

P.S. In case you're wondering: No, you can't earn both in 1 hit, you either get BP for hitting or lunging.

Play on Console where people always try to 360's spin you. Everyone on console uses regular hits.

  • The Entity:

All survivors start the game on a hook.

All pallets are destroyed once the match starts.

The Entity has a lunge range of 1000m.

If the Entity misses an attack the survivors hit-box will be moved to adjust for a hit.

The Entity always causes survivors to have the Exposed effect.

The Entity will cause all survivors to drop below 10fps.

Any items brough in by survivors will become "cursed" causing the survivor to be instantly downed and carried to a hook (only takes affect if you 4% at the start of the match).

The Entity can see all survivor auras in a 1000m range.

The Entity will delete any forum post regarding "balance" or "OP" topics in relation to The Entity.

    Seems legit.

useless perks, Spirit Fury she still gets stun, same thing as if she got hit by the pallet useless, hunted ground useless if the survivors know that that killer is the Spirit they just wont cleanse the lit totems unless they are just greedy players. Blind as a bat with no radar when using her abilities what would they come up next? I work hard for my money and the Devs. do too. I am in supporting the game but sell me something I'm going to use. Don't get me wrong I love Spirit moei/animations/looks great, but come on blinded abilities far less fun for me. Not to mention a very, very dark map screen at 100% still can't see much.

All of the Spirits perks are bad on their own but combo great with others.
    Spirit fury - Enduring
Haunted Ground - Any other Hex perk
Rancor - Honestly good on its own

The perks for Spirit are great it sounds like you just don't understand how to use them properly.

HB chainsaw has a bigger radius
    Huntress unplayable.
Just devs being pathetic im all for releasing content but when your game is in this state it shouldn't even be on steam imo.

Sometimes I think they don't test stuff before releasing. Like how did they miss the Nurse's double stun when that bug was introduced. It baffles me. Also the Nurse's double stun can still happen in certain situations (iirc, when hitting a survivor while he's throwing down a pallet).

By the way, when you are charging up the Phase Walk, you can see survivors' blood, and then once you start actually Phase Walking it disappears. It feels like a very badly implemented feature. Spaghetti code confirmed?

they dont, they dont even look in the bug forum.
Thats why i gave up and sending bugs to them, im hoping if i ######### talk them enough they will actually do something, i guess the community has to not be as polite to them since they are releasing bugs in every patch.
Im still blown away why this community gives them so much credit, they clearly dont deserve any.

Take a look at how quickly a mod or Dev will respond to a post saying "this is great/thank you BHVR" and see how slowly a post regarding legitimate issues is responded to. Mind you there is more toxic posts to sift through to find these legitimate civilized complaints but it is still baffling.

For hook rescue a survivor gets 1500 points, including the points for a Safe Hook Rescue of 500!
This is a very big and good change for survivors - I like it very much! (I am survivor and killer main)

But why can't we introduce a penalty for a tunneling killer?

For example, you get full points for a hanged survivor. If he is rescued by the hook and the killer immediately kills the rescued one again, you get -250 points. (in a certain time of approx. 5 seconds)

or as with the survivors: That the killers lose something in the direction of the emblem system/pips

It's just a question and a suggestion, what do you think?

If they had a penalty for tunneling then why would we need a bonus for safe unhooks. That wouldn't make sense. Killers should be rewarded for not tunneling and, quite frankly, some perks require you to tunnel to take full advantage of, or if gens are going really fast then the best plan of action is to remove a survivor as quickly as possible. Can't punish players for a reasonable tactic, just add incentives for not doing "action X" vs doing it.

Isn’t every single thing killers get points from directly from or caused by a survivor?

That still doesn't mean they helped you get points. I can't tell you how many times I've chosen to let 1 or 2 survivors go simply because the game ended quickly due to DCing or survivor stupidity. Yet I could count the amount of times on one hand that a survivor had that same mercy for me and let me get a kill in a match where I got destroyed.

Play as you want be it merciful or brutal that is your own choice.

I've let myself get sac'd if I've done well and the killer got destroyed because I know how that feels and I try and play honorably so to speak. Something that seems to be anathema to many on here and in game as well.

I almost always let the last person get the hatch as a killer if they didn't teabag non stop and they aren't just afking in the entire match. I can't count how many times I've been told great killer etc for actually trying to let everyone have a good game.

On games where I've 3 or 4k'd I usually get a gg or something along those lines because I go for the unhooker not the freshly unhooked person. They're wounded and will be easy prey later plus that means 2 not on gens.

Exactly my point, far more often than not it's the Killer that shows empathy towards the other players, not the other way around.

My main point was not to blame killers for not letting survivors escape simply because it a BP event or to blame survivors for gen rushing if its a BP event. People will play as they want.

  • She isn't finished as others have said. Its odd we got her released without all her intended changes but I feel much like Nurse she has a high skill ceiling. Once people nail her power she can be strong. Many people are still learning her strengths and weaknesses. To be fair I'm only at rank 7 this season on Killer because I haven't been playing as much but most of my matches go pretty well. I'll see how rank 1 works with her soon.

  • I'm all down for the smaller pallet hitboxes but I feel bad when a pallet hits me in the face and nothing happens to me. Sure it is a nice change but I will be glad when it works as intended, assuming they keep the fixed pallet hitboxes.

You're essentially running without a power in this case. If you chase them it takes too much time because you have no traps and there are 3 other people doing gens. And ofc the best runner on the team has the flashlight and DS.

Trying to use traps as bait is difficult or impossible because the flashlight range is so long that they can destroy them over at least a pallets worth of distance.

This isn't an uncommon scenario either. This is happening regularly in green ranks and up. So idk what to do. the idea that a killer has to run away from 1 guy with a flashlight seems silly, but my power is essentially being disabled by 1 person. It's particularly bad if I'm found early in the match.

I won't offer a answer as others have pretty much said everything I would have said, but just remember if someone is following you then they have 1 less person on generators. I'd advise starting a chase on 1 of the generator survivors so the person with the flashlight either A: has to take over generator duty and therefore won't see new traps you set down right away or B: they will still follow you meaning you now have 2 people not doing generators.

No real easy way to fix this problem.

I'm guessing its a bug with Wraith because I've used in yesterday in a few matches and the more experienced survivors could see me coming and ran off.

I take it you have never played Heroes of the Storm.

That game my friend is the true lobby simulator.

Im sure that it doesnt take 40-60 mins to fill a lobby there...

Guess I got my answer ^.^

How are the things listed not counters? What do you think a counter is?

Something that really keeps things from happening.

What you are referring to is called a "Hard Counter". Something that lessons the effect is known as a "Soft Counter". You're both right.

Don't forget about a hard surface generally used to prepare food or place items.

Rancor cannot be broken, reveals everyone for 3 seconds and allows you to be moried instantly.

"Instantly"... after all gens are done and you got warned that the killer has Rancor, it does not really quality as instantly.

Way to take the word out of context and crop my comment to fit your narrative. To use a Mori a specific set of steps must be achieved:
    Down survivor
    Hook survivor
    Down again
    Mori
Even the yellow Mori has the stipulation of having to Mori the last survivor after downing them.
Rancor gives you aura, exposed effect and instant Mori (No hook or last man stipulation). As the example I gave its unfair that you can spend the whole match never getting caught and not using obsession perks yet still fall victim to RNG obsession pick and get found once leading to instant down and instant Mori.
Its not a very interactive perk with potential counter play and isn't fun to be on the receiving end of. If you are taking a risk and using a obsession perk then its a little different because you risked being the obsession.

Personally, I just want a Wraith player to play a game with: Enduring, Brutal Strength, Fire Up, Spirit Fury, and Shadow Dance. Then record that nightmare.

The best Wraith build is the ultra rare "No bell sound" add-on mixed with the new "ghost" add-on that gives 0 terror radius for 6 seconds after uncloak.

Every survivor interaction has been a pull off a generator for me while using this. He is the new jump-scare king. Sorry Myers but step aside.

As great as jumpscares are, it is my belief that watching a pallet, a symbol of safety and protection, get completely obliterated in seconds as the maniac draws in for the kill will be more intense. Additionally, with Spirit's Fury + Enduring on Wraith doesn't this auto uncloak you and give you a free hit?

Possibly a free hit, I have yet to try that build out myself as I haven't gotten lucky with Spirit perks in my bloodweb.

    Not Sole Survivor.

I can't seem to find any counter to it. At all. With the exception of SS... And telling anyone to run this trash perk is like telling a Wraith or Mikey to run Distressing...(unless you're purely farming BP)

It took them how long for Calm Spirit to help counter The Doctor... but.. I'm sure I'm going to regret asking any type of questions regardless of my playtime. I feel like the dev is constantly kicking Solo players in the nads while doing nothing to SWF as both Killers and Solo players have mostly crappy games when paired against SWFs(the sandbagging etc)

The counter to rancor is to get the hell out...immediately. Don't dance around at the gates, don't go back looking for boxes, when the gates open leave. Counter it the same way you counter noED...LEAVE!

NOED can be broken and even if you are hooked you can be saved. Rancor cannot be broken, reveals everyone for 3 seconds and allows you to be moried instantly.

I never use obsession perks and for the most part some random player using D-strike will get it, but I have had games where I was never even seen until the VERY END of the game and instantly got moried because I randomly got selected for obsession. I do feel like it seems unfair if you become the obsession without having used any obsession perks.

I don't think the perk is over powered just a very anti-climatic/un-fun thing to have happen to you during a match. Something that can instantly kill you simply because the game chose you as obsession. Its different if you bought d-strike in and gambled with the possibility.

  • How about we add loot-boxes to DBD!

....can I go now EA? I did as you asked...please I have a family...
