So we're just going to ignore the fact that it takes 20 minutes to find a killer game at rank 1 or are we going to roll out a fix to a problem that keeps coming back every month? I guess it's gonna take me a while to fill all my remaining vials considering that I've already got the 30 from the survivor...You cant fix that.
Its an issue caused by design. -

No more gentle killer, you can all die survivos
/rant
Survivors are done with their flowers, now they dont rely no friendly farming killers anymore.
Just play like a real killer and get your hooks, tunnel, camp, slugg as you feel the need to

I love the concept and Design of the Trapper. However, he is far to weak compared to the other Killers and not really viable above rank 15.Let‘s start with the obvious problems. The Trapper wastes a lot of time collecting traps, carrying them across the map and setting them. The standard capacity of 1 is a far too low. The amount of time it takes to set a trap is a joke compared to how fast they can be disarmed.
Also, once Survivors have realized that they play against the Trapper, they usually don‘t fall for the traps anymore. This may have been different a year ago, but today they just know the good spots. Also, the traps hitbox is far too small. Most of the time, i only catch one or two per game, if at all. Well, catch is an exaggeration. They get trapped but free themselves in under 5 seconds. And this is not an exaggeration. They free themselves almost instantly.
Considering how hard it is to trap a survivor in the first place, this is all I get? An almost instant escape and the survivor only gets injured? Of course only if he was healthy before. There is no consequence at all for an injured survivor to get caught.
What the Trapper needs in my opinion is a considerable buff of his base kit. Trapped survivors should not be able to free themselves. Alternatively, survivors could be put in the dying state by the trap. The traps should be harder to see, have a larger trigger radius and disarming them should take longer and be a lot harder, maybe with a hard skill check. Failing the skill check would cause the survivor the be trapped.
This may sound over the top, but I honestly believe that even all those buffs combined would not make the Trapper OP. His current state is a shame tbh.
What do you guys think?
The trapper has the ability to scare good players during chases even if he did nothing. He's a mind game. You never know if that window or pallet or loop is safe
If you play SWF, you know and thats the problem
-
Sadly the introduction of SWF has crippled my old, beloved trapper.
I rarely play him these days =( -

I just experienced the shortest game of DBD in my life.
I had just harvested one Putrid-Thingy and i heard The Shape (Michael Myers) reaching his tier one ability. I see another coming running with The Shape in tow, she takes a hit but moves on. I run in as a distraction and he goes for me. Great, i was ready to take the hit and run away.
But he just straight up catches and murders me on the spot. Not downing me, just Stab And Kill animation and i'm out.
Is he supposed to be able to do that?
It seemed a bit weird and OP imo.
He was only at the first Tier of Evil Within and he didn't have any of associated insta-kill Perks on, and the Exposed effect hadn't triggered yet.You got a video?
There is no way to mori after 10 seconds, that would have been a cheater then
-
Yeah
His power is supposed to counter looping, the only problem is that it doesnt actually counter it^^He is almost as bad as a trapper playing against a coordinated SWF, but his throwing angles are really weird so I even enjoy playing the weaker (IMO) trapper if I had to choose between those two

Take the exhaustion "nerf" for example. How has that change anything?
Actually it did help.
Before you ran the risky of getting sprint boosted twice during a single chase, which prolonged the chase big time.
Now at least you only have to deal with one use per chase. Most survivor ######### up when the second sprintburst activated during chase. Sure in the hands of a competent survivor planing ahead in order to use the 2nd burst properly it was deadly.
But from my experience as killer, the second sprintburst ######### most survivors because they suddenly stated runing circles a lot faster, then I switch direction and they dont react fast enough. Voila
My issue with sprintburst has always been that you have to stand nose to nose to the survivor, and then he can still sprint burst away.
It means that most of the survivors you played against are noobs, and indeed most of the surv are noobs, even those twitchers with 100 viewers... They are just bad players, without any brain and any skill.
But then, can you explain me why the killers keep complaining about the balance ?
I have almost never played killer and i SWF with a group of awesome surv, 2 are jukers/sneaky and 2 are pallet loopers. Sometimes we play KYF and with Billy, i'm able to do 25/30k with 2 kills, sometimes 3 kills and this without struggling so much...
So for me the fact that killer mains are crying like babies is a mistery...
If all survivors knew how to play, then the game would be unbearable for killer because its a fact that its highly unbalanced at competitive level.
Why do killers complain about balance? BEcause the game is unbalanced as hell, I recommend checking out the depip squad and you will get a rough idea what all those killer mains are talking about.
You almost never play killer? Why am I not surprised^^
YOu manage a 2k in KYF? WOW amazing, that proves all killer mains wrong, survivors clearly need a buff

Dear DbD team,
I thought about to do a global rank reset or if possible a rank reset only for people in red and purple ranks. This would be the fastest and easiest way to hotfix the killer Q during the event. I'm sure 99% would be happy whatThats not gonna change the fact that the 1:4 population is twisted now.
Take a few days break from DBD or play survivor until the survivor mains are bored of playing killer -
I dont think that any survivor would stay in a 500-1000ms lobby.
I wouldnt^^

The issue with that is there’s a huge difference in how it’s played on console and PC. It’d be hard to win against a PC killer; if they’re good.
Maybe if consoles que’d together, that’d be fine.Console players claim all the time that they play at the same lvl as PC, some of them will even insult you if you say that you cant compare consoles stuttery casual mess to PCs competitiveness
I would love if they implemented cross play

sadly this will never happen and the devs even struggle with the easiest kind of implementations. Dedicated servers or even crossplay is FAR down the road where we will never reach^^ -

What's your rank? Most people don't bother ever getting to "low" rank (purple or red) which is why it would be harder. Also, barely anyone ever plays this game around 8pm Central. So, as a killer main, I should play worse than I'm capable of in order not to rank up too much? This is so illogical, if the devs also feel this way, I can see why the matchmaking is as broken as it seems.
You shouldn't have to handicap yourself because of the game's faults. The whole game is illogical, sorry to say that.
Matchmaking is broken, just derank if your rank is too high..... especially during the event, all survivors droped their ranks hard due to phial farming / suicidingSo I'm gonna spend 15 minutes each time to get into a match to lose a single pip so I don't get banned for dc'ing?
Sounds fun.At the beginning I would DC and when queue times get a bit shorter, derank by Afking.
Yeah its a lot of "fun"

I'm honestly not willing to risk getting banned by dc'ing a lot.
Then you will have to take the slow alternative

I can understand that, but dont worry about a few DCs ^^ -
Its always funny when some survivors just allow the "taking" part of farming but dont want to give any event hooks to the killre.

However now all I see on the forums is people complaining about really dumb things like extra bp for survivors after 30 vials or games not fun anymore. Honestly if anyone is going to complain, complain about how long killer wait time will be in the future that's the real issue and only major one I see. Things like survivors farming then killing themselfs or its too hard for killers to get vials or even just complaining about dumb things in general can you people just stop. If you are so pissed off at this games event go play a different game that has an event going on.So you complain about others complaining?

Because the survivor moves faster than he actually should.
Also the hitbox doesnt align properly with the character model, especially huntress suffers from that when she is trying to melee throw a 360ing guy.How is non-movement of the character an abuse btw?

I'd actually would like to see proof that the speed of a Survivor surpasses the limit of ** 100%MS** when performing a 360. (Moving your camera one way while moving your character the other in a 360 degree circle)
Could you provide proof that or are you just making that first part up?
You might be right about the hitboxes not lining up... but I mean, I found if you just swing (not lunge) you're most likely to hit them as they do align up the hitboxes at some point. if we're talking about broken hitboxes, what's with those active hitboxes aren't pallet stuns and window vaults? Off topic, but still relevant.
Huntress hitboxes are already broken, so it's irrelevant to the current data. Why hatchet a melee-ranged 360ing guy?
I mean 360 hitboxes aren't broken like The Billy's chainsaw to a Sprint Bursting Survivor yet it's being perceived that you're implying they are. Maybe explain a little for me to understand better?
Take one of those "360 tutorial" youtube videos and a video of a sprinting survivor next to each other.
Run both in slow motion and observe how the 360ing survivors moves faster on your screen than the sprinting one.... you're kidding right
Nope im dead serious
"Please use your own judgement and observation to determine such" is NOT proof. What meets the eye can seem entirely different. The fact that you're dead serious makes entirely what you said unreliable.
Discussion over from my end.
That why I said, run it in slow motion
What kind of proof do you want? Guess we will have to wait until we get a police killer with a speedometer then

How is it gonna deter new players if it's optional? "suggestion 2"You said it. If. Survivors can break totems. Sure its optional.. but... Not breaking a Hex has consequences. Same for breaking it, if caught you'll normally get tunneled or camped despite how early in the game it is.

Gens will be covered in plants and the survivors must harvest these plants in order to work on the gens. Each plant will reward the survivors with bloodpoints. This will be beneficial to both teams. The survivors will be rewarded and the killer will have extra time. The time to harvest should be similar to halloween pods or a little longer but not too long so it doesn't become punishment.
Another idea: the plants will spawn randomly on the map when the match starts and survivors will have limited time to harvest them. Like 2 minutes.
I don't think increasing the time to heal has solved this problem.Having too much to do as a survivor in the early game will deter new players, while giving rank 1 folks something else to do. Balancing around rank 1 is and will be the worst solution for the game's life as a whole. I also don't believe that the healing nerf was meant to make the game last longer gen wise, not a single bit. Its for survivors who heal in between pallet drops and vaults. That 4 seconds is critical. There's no longer a reason to take SC outside of a Meme. Medkits are faster and odds are, unless you're running IW/CS stealth.. you'll get only one shot at healing yourself.
Then you have hatch stand-offs, immersed survivors playing uber stealth, and the annoying guy that loops you for 5 minutes. All in all, most games run around 8-10 minutes for me. Any longer and most people will go play something else. If you're getting quick games, have more map pressure. Break long chases before they even begin.
Not balancing the game aroudn rank 1 will just lead to deranking.
What is the point in ranking up when you are not rewarded by anything and instead you are even punished by the imbalance
People derank anyway because of how trash people play at high ranks and hide behind "but its a legit strat" excuse. People don't have any respect for themselves, and it shows in game.
People dont "play trash" at high rank, the game simply was not built for optimal playstyle and playing against those is really unfun.
As I said, the game needs to become balanced at high level gameplayWhy? Survivors will continue to sandbag and killers will continue to tunnel and camp. What are your suggestions? Because as it is, you rarely get banned or even punished for things like Sandbagging/Body Blocking into corners. Even if you're reported with Video despite it being "against the rules"(i DONT mean Billy cornering you and chainsawing you). There is no rebalancing perks like talking about it. What? nerf heal? hurt killers emblems for camping?(most dont care and will camp anyway)..
If you slug and let everyone bleed out, or intentionally BM someone by slugging them and not hooking them, tunnel or camp(outside of hook defending obv) you're bad or intentionally being toxic. Which is trash. However, more of my issues with survivors comes when I'm playing due to the yolo unhooks and sandbagging.
Why would survivor sandbag each other (except during event at rank 15 maybe)?
Camping and tunneling are legit strategies and just that you know, not-tunneling would be a stupid thing to do because it makes you play less-optimally. You simply dont have the time to 2-hook everyone before you start killing.Rank is completely meaningless, why should players care about rank?
It happens quite frequently that I let the DS user bleed out. I dont see a point in going through the looping insanity again just because he hits spacebar. nah, I will take a short break and come back soon.
If he found hatch he got lucky, if he didnt, well hes dead
Also funny how you pretend that only killers BM by leting bleed out everyone. Fact is that the BM usually comes from the survivor side.
And yeah, yolo unhooks happen because a lot of bad players are capable of reaching ranks where they dont belong
