There are plenty of other threads that discuss this very topic, but I do agree that a change needs to be made and the sooner the better.

Once you reach your 30 phials, you can switch to killer and grind the remaining 30 phials.

I think they should let survivors keep harvesting for blood points.

If you dotn like that fact, dont play killer and stick to survivor as you usuall do.
The event continues for 2 weeks so there will be plenty of other chances
