I've played GF and the reveal mechanic is broken on both ends imo. He's still an m1 killer tho and keep in mind stalking slows him down. Sometimes survivors will get so invested in revealing me that they make stupid plays.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see him nerfed or anything. I just want the mechanic to work better. If I see the GF, revealing him shouldn't be incredibly difficult. I think the first step in the right direction would be to pause any stalking progress while the GF is being revealed (ie a survivor actively hearing the reveal sound que). I think that would reduce the "bs" exposes substantially without taking anything from his kit when used correctly. They could also revisit what it takes to start a reveal to hopefully combat him getting revealed through walls and other bs on both sides.

What you probably need to do is back up, actually. If you're too close, too much of his model is outside of the detection zone. And honestly, if you see him in a place that isn't open, just start running. You'll get a much better chance of not being exposed if you try to reveal him during a chase. Either that, or he loses distance each time he tries to stalk you, unless you were already pocketed before that. In which case... Well, you got outplayed.

The latest time it happened to me was right after I stunned him in a safe loop. Instead of breaking the pallet, he went behind the box the pallet was resting on, stealthed up, and leaned out right in front of me. At the time, I'm thinking "why would you even try that, I'll just reveal you right away". I stared right at him but the reveal progress kept getting reset by him side stepping back and forth. Then he exposed me right before I finally got the reveal and bloodlusted me around the safe pallet. At the very least his expose meter should get paused while someone is revealing him.

And if you're viewing him from any angle but the other side of the obstruction, his sweet little head isn't quite 20% of his body, is it?

Sorry, I mistyped one word. You need to see 20% of his head OR body. I did reveal him when he was leaning, from the front. It just was so finicky and took so long that he was able to expose me first. It's just demoralizing to play against. The GF isn't outplaying me, I see him, but game won't register that I do.

Leaning means that you can't reveal him unless you're behind him. Please learn how he works, and you'll have a much better time.

That isn't even remotely true. I have no idea where you got that information. Revealing him requires you to see 20% of his body and face in the center-most part of your screen.

Do you have a video of it?

    I wish lol

I find I get revealed to easily when I play ghost face imo. Literally losing my power and having to wait 30 seconds of cooldown without addons for a cheese reveal

If I had to guess, you might have had one of the survivors stalking you. Whenever I'm in SWF and its a ghostface, one of us tries to keep him revealed

  • I'm really curious what you guys think about this idea. I originally thought legion was nonredeemable but after several hot showers and bored nights this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think! Also ignore the 7. under Legion changes

You obviously have not had to take people across large maps to hook them.

Survivors have it pretty easy. A flower harvest usually gives a safe section. Once the liquid flashes beyond a safety point, or the vial fills it's yours, live or die.
Of course if you're just below the line, or filling and die, you can lose the entire section.

You obviously assume you are supposed to be able to get an event hook on every single down. Some games I have had to go out of may way to kite survivors towards the hooks I need. If you want to get every single event hook, you have to have some strategy to it.

Please, I'm almost halfway done with my survivor vials, getting nectar as killer is a pain in the ass.

You are ignoring the entirety of the post by saying this. He is trying to explain how once survivors fill all of their vials, they can no longer even harvest the plants for the points that the offering offers. There are currently 11 days left in the event, and every survivor that has their vial done can no longer participate in the ectra points that the offerings make available.

You still get the points from completed as long as you burn the offering. Except you don't even have to do any of the work, just sit back and let the people who haven't done their nectar do the job for you. I fail to see how this is somehow more difficult than working your way to a bunch of sporadically spawned hooks, or sacrificing two perks slots to reach them at the cost of your abilities.

So explain to me what happens when a full lobby of survivors who have already gotten their 30 vials play a game...

I will personally pay you 10 dollars if you randomly queue up with four survivors who have all their vials 2 days into the event.

A lot of my friends play mostly survivor and have already hit the cap.

  • If the survivors have it easier that makes this even worse. That means people will hit 30 vials faster. Once they do, they will realize they can't get the bonus anymore unless their teammates harvest the plants and stop playing

  • It usually only takes me one game to fill my vial as killer. It takes 6 special hooks to fill a vial. Unless you get no offerings from the survivors, I don't see you possibly taking more than two games tops to fill it. Assuming you are a half decent killer
