I think the whole point is that the killer is stalking the survivor from the campfire into the trial, so they should know what the survivors are bringing into the match.
-
I've not noticed anything off with movement speeds...if you really think there's something not right, I suggest making a bug report and try to get some evidence in the form of video to show. I know with the changes in survivor animations it can feel that the speeds have changed (hence people thought that the injured survivors were slowed now - they're not).
-
I completely understand what the OP is trying to convey with this thread...and I pretty much agree with the whole sentiment.
Some people feel the need to be represented in a game that they love and that's completely understandable and this is something that's often ignored by many people because they're automatically represented without realising it, which can often mean that they don't realise the importance of representation.
I am going to stress one thing - THERE IS NO PLACE FOR HOMOPHOBIA/TRANSPHOBIA/RACISM ANYWHERE ON THIS FORUM OR IN GAME.
I think I made that point clear there.
Any other comments that have to be removed from this post will carry consequences, this is the one and only warning I will make for this now.
-
yeah we've got this listed as a bug, it's really creepy when it happens to you in game

AS IT SHOULD BE! 😍
agreed, I love sneaky Devour Hope games from both sides!

It's completely random as to whenever the perk shows in the bloodweb, irrespective on whether you've prestiged or not. The only time it's an issue, is if you've got it unlocked and it's not showing at all - meaning that you've got every other perk that's available and no perks are showing on your bloodweb.
-
I don't think the way this post is worded that any good discussion is going to come of it, so I am closing this here.
Basically, people like to feel represented - granted not all people, and if you don't feel the need to feel represented in a game you enjoy that's great. Others do want to feel that level of representation and that's perfectly fine, they have that right.
Whilst you might not personally care about the sexuality of a character a lot of other people do. We all have the right to care about things that matter for us, and it's not for anyone else to say they're being "annoying" about this - maybe a bit of understanding and compassion is in order for people, and instead of being quick to judge something, attempt to understand where they're coming from and then maybe you will understand why representation is important to a vast majority of people.
-
I really wouldn't call the use of perks such as Dragons Grip meta. Even Haunted Grounds which is probably used more, a lot of that perk is down to the time when the perk is destroyed. Devour Hope (which I'm seeing more of right now), takes a while to get to the 1 hit down stage so the killer has to have been hooking and leaving the hook before-hand, so has done work to earn that one hit down.
There's so much a survivor can do to counter these, you've got pallets for a chase - yes you might have to early drop and can't greed the pallet in the same way as you would if you could take 2 hits, but again it's a short period of time in the case of Haunted Grounds and in the case of Devour - find the totem. There's outplay to them.
-
Not sure if putting in perks as basekit is really the way to go on this. I get that many people feel that camping/tunnelling is an issue, but it's also a pretty solid mechanic and one that will lead to the killer losing that trial if the remaining survivors punish it...that's my issue with it. I completely get that it's ruining the game for that 1 survivor but it's also on the other 3 survivors to work together to prevent the killer from getting that survivor or by pushing out the gens to finish the trial.
And if you start adding perks to basekit - where do you draw the line? Killers say gens go too fast, so a slowdown perk as basekit, or BBQ basekit etc etc. I think once you start going down that road, it's much harder to draw the line.
-
@Torkz I'm not actually sure that's a bug, it probably took a little bit of time for the server to recognise the DC, plus there's always the delay of the entity claws taking the body etc.
-
Please stop the personal squabbles on this thread and stick to the topic at hand - thank you!

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1970598#Comment_1970598 I think our resident expert on this @CashelP14 worked out the route here
-
Hi is this still happening after the most recent patch - 4.5.2 that was out on Tuesday?
-
We don't have news to share on this just yet. When we do, we'll definitely convey more information about it.
Right now, it's running in the background collecting date, but doesn't interfere with matchmaking in the slightest. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes when it does go live.
-
I think without knowing exactly how the MMR is calculated it's really difficult to say that it won't work - all this is assuming it's based around the current emblems, which we don't know it will be.
-
Porcupine got me really confused on this.
Yes this skin will probably be in the store at a later date. Skins from the rift remain rift exclusives for a minimum of 6 months before they're made available in the in-game store.
-
Did you by any chance notice if any of the survivors were running Repressed Alliance?
-
Hi, I've moved this to feedback/suggestions so I can make note of the information contained in it. I know accessibility options are often getting looked into with the game. I don't know specific programmes that can help you, I would recommend checking out Deafgirl Gaming on Twitch as I know she uses something to assist with the hearing of things and also uses certain perks which helps her to know if she's within the killers terror radius etc, she might be able to give more information.
-
Definitely try to clear your Steam download cache, I used to have this problem but since clearing it a few months back (and doing it regularly) I've not had the dreaded Error 4 in quite some time.
-
Mine is whether or not I enjoyed myself, I don't care about how many I kill/hook, I don't care whether I escape - the whole thing for me is whether or not I've had fun in the process (I do like getting my 4 BBQ stacks though!).
-
I'm not actually sure of the reason for this, whether it was an oversight or not - I will have a look into it and see.
-
Technically this would be a bug, but we can't move to bug reports. I will suggest @shelobster that you send this to Support so they can have a look at the account and see what's going on, because that's a really weird one and not something I've seen happening before, and that really needs to be looked at further.
Please make a support ticket here for assistance: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

With cross progression @zombitehdeath anything you have on the one platform will be available on the other platform
-
Currently the cross progression is only between Stadia & Steam with Switch joining shortly.
I don't think it would really be possible to do what the OP is suggesting because game purchases etc are platform specific.
And we have no further word on whether cross progression will ever be added for any other platform other than those I mentioned above.
-
It's not just 360's that were the issue for survivors but the transitional animation that felt incredibly sluggish and made it very difficult to dodge hits from specific killers. We all know that 360's rarely work and that they're pretty much a last resort if you've got nothing left to use - you might has well try the 360 as you've got nothing to lose from doing so as you're going to get hit regardless.
-
I don't think that would improve the health of the game in the slightest. Also with DS getting a rework that's going to be less of an issue - there'll be a lot less abuse of the perk.
As a killer, you shouldn't be made aware of whether or not the survivor has DS unless it's used on you - the obsession signal is enough to show you that someone has an obsession perk and then you know that DS is likely. I think it's up to the killer to keep count of the 60s.
-
I really don't think this proposal would really fit with Q&Q, and as people pointed out, this does happen with BL now...so probably not needed on another perk. Also, Q&Q is in a pretty good spot right now I think (although I'd love the cooldown to be less personally, cos of my beloved Head On stuns).
-
I think this would be a bad idea personally. I use the red stain to mindgame so much that it would be a nerf to me playing tbh. At weak loops the red stain plays only a small amount of importance unless line of sight is blocked, which isn't that often at the weaker loops but around jungle gyms the ability to mindgame with the red stain is incredibly useful.
-
I'm fine with the Shrine as a concept but I think I would like to see more perks in there now, as there's so many perks in game and I think it's really tough for new players - it's not so bad for veterans as we've mostly got the perks at this point.
-
I've not noticed this myself. If you do think it's an issue, please try to get some screenshots and post it in the bug reports section - thank you.
-
It's just a matter now of waiting for the DC penalty to decay and make sure you have a stable internet connection for when you play the game.
-
People are banned, they do have ways around the bans, which we will not discuss here.
The best course of action is to report their accounts to Twitch which is usually the platform that they stream on as this is against Twitch ToS.

Because of Huntress and Deathslinger. Not only did the desync make facing these killers atrocious but it also made dodging significantly harder because you moved from side to side incredibly sluggishly, allowing those killers very easy shots. In a way also Pyramid Head.
Exactly this, this was the number one complaint I saw - that survivors couldn't dodge like before. There was like a stutter between the movements as well which felt awful, the current animations updated yesterday feel a lot smoother to play with.
-
With things like this, please feel free to report in game.
-
Please completely power down your Switch and then try again...and by power down I mean switch it off completely and not just on standby, that fixes this issue.
-
Please make a bug report on this issue here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
-
There is an acknowledged bug report in on this already.
-
@owlbomb has the update today helped at all, as the size of the skill check is now independent of the HUD settings?

Can we please have the option on where we want the Perk's to go? I'd rather have mine top center of the screen personally.
Bet this would help streamers as well.....
We tested customisable UK and it prove to be very complex. It's not something that we have planned for the future (to make it customisable) but it's also not something that we've fully ruled out either.
-
@LapisInfernalis is that since the update today please?

Im 98% it was just visual, my apologies if i worded incorrectly, ill play a few more and see.
no need to apologise @JimmyJones85 I'm just trying to get as much information as possible.

Matchmaking should now be back to normal on Xbox after the patch was released on all platforms (excluding mobile of course).
-
Did it actually give you the 2 pips on your Rank progress or was it just visual?
-
The reason that they're not horizontal is because it allows us to make things clearer.
Who knows what might need to be added in the future as well, we have said there might be more things on the HUD in future.
-
They're "exclusive" in so fact as right now there's no other way you can get these items, until they appear in the Store roughly 6months to a year later. Which we've communicated since the very beginning of the Tomes/Rift.
-
This might well be caused in the most part due to the bug that was affecting pipping, I think a lot of people depipped with it, so it'll take a few matches until that evens back up again
-
It was never scheduled for this patch, we did advise it would be in a future update - we didn't say which one. Normally perk changes are not put into hoftixes unless there's a pretty serious issue with a perk.

Luca is absolutely gorgeous <3
