Because part of the game is going to involve camping/tunelling etc which isn't something that's against the game rules, that does not give anyone reason to leave the game - that's ruining it for 4 players, not 3 because the killer does have consideration here as well.
Once you ready up in that lobby, you are committed to playing that game - leaving mid match because something happens that you don't like but is within the scope of the game, is why we have the DC penalty in place. And why we do warn on this forum for promoting DC'ing as it falls under Unsportsmanlike Behaviour.
-
No they are specifically in the Spanish Section of the Forum, hardly hidden. And you could have asked a moderator if you weren't sure of these rules.

@GoodBoyKaru you know too much!

The fact that the rules are only in English and deustch makes it a bit difficult for me to understand them and more so using so many abbreviations and the google translator is not very friendly with abbreviations. But to delete a comment for giving my opinion on a topic as a possible solution, it seems a bit authoritarian to me, also the tab should not be called discussions but let's talk about what I want

ouch
At least you have it at level 1 at least automatically.

If you don't have access to the Playstation account that you have DbD on, you would most likely have to start again on a new account. You could contact Support get further information: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We will shortly have the Chat Filter, which many people saw in action on the PTB and contrary to popular belief it's not easy to circumvent in the slightest - believe me, I tried :) (purely for testing purposes!).
Also you can report people for hate speech, these reports are taken seriously and are actioned. You will also still be able to report people for hate speech when the Chat Filter is implemented on Live, if you suspect what they say. These chat logs will be looked at.

that's a great truth I would like the mod in Spanish to have the same common sense as you :(
going to clear something up here, as I've seen what you're referring to. Advocating for DC's on this forum or advising that you DC for something that happened in a game, is completely against our forum rules, and the mod was right in their actions.
The Leave Game Button is only for emergencies, just because you don't like something happening in game - that's not reason to ragequit! That's exactly the reason why we have the DC penalty in place.
-
The function of the Leave button is purely for the times when you have to leave the match either for an IRL emergency or for game breaking bugs for example.
The reason the DC penalty is kept so low initially is for the same reason.
These reasons should be rare so our players don't get penalised harshly for something unavoidable.
-
ohhh I like the idea of bats on the maps!

Mine is very boring, my nickname is Mandy and I talk a huge amount, like non stop...so had this name from when starting to use the internet in the 90's and I've kept it ever since.
-
For Deathslinger I'd highly recommend https://www.twitch.tv/dreanajane really, really good player of this character.
-
MMR is NOT used in matchmaking in the slightest. It's "on" in the background but it only collects match data, and is not active in matchmaking.
-
As OldHunterLight says, there's no cross progression available between consoles and PC at the present time, only Stadia & Steam, with Switch joining shortly. We also do not have an answer to if it will ever be available on any other platform, it's something that we know the Community want but it's not something we can guarantee.
-
I'm going to be completely frank but if something is affecting your mental health then you should definitely take a break from it and look into possible therapy if the situation is that bad. Mental health isn't something that you should take for granted, or make light of. Many people, especially through the last year due to the pandemic, have struggled mentally with various things as it has put a lot more pressure on people and it's no shame if you need assistance.
-
Just to clear something up on this thread, we said cosmetics will come to the Store - not sooner than 6 months. So it could be 12 months for example when the items from the rift come to the Store.
-
As far as I'm aware, yes you will still need Playstation Plus to play, even with Custom games.
-
Agreed, I love BBQ and I think very similarly about that and Devour Hope, very strong perk but it only activates when the killer is far enough from the hook, and can be taken out by the survivors.
-
I don't change my game at all when the killer has Tinkerer, I don't get off the gen at 70%, I just pay more attention to the surroundings - know where you're going to run to if the killer comes to your gen etc. If you're at a gen in a jungle gym you know you've got something to use to help you evade. If you're out in the open doing a gen then you should be able to see them approaching.
I've never seen survivors leave a gen with Tinkerer on especially as Ruin is used so much - it's not strong play to get off a generator if Ruin is up unless you absolutely have to. Doing that is giving the match to the killer, because Ruin is going to regress that gen, then it's going to get repaired to 70% again.
So in short, the outplay is using your other senses, don't rely on hearing the heartbeat.

why was this not removed for lack of relevance? Doesn't that break the forum rules?

Because it doesn't break forum rules. It's placed in the off topic thread where it belongs.
Exactly, Off Topic is for threads not connected to DbD.
From the pinned thread in this sub forum.

We created this forum so that all our playerbase can discuss things, the opinion of our new players is just as important as the opinion on players with 1k hours for example. Yes the experience level is going to be pretty different, but that doesn't invalidate the new player experience and it's just as important that new players get their voice heard same as 1k hours players for example.
As I am sure you're well aware by now, we promote inclusivity at all levels and all platforms.

This is a known bug, no ETA on a fix time though I'm afraid.

No way, gen speeds are quick even without perks. 80 seconds is a balanced number for a solo, I'm not changing the initial time. 47 seconds when two are on a gen needs a fix, just make it about 70 seconds.
The most inefficient thing 4 survivors can do is work on gens together - it's way more pressure on the killer if survivors split up and all 4 work on generators separately, spread out across the map.
Increasing the time for grouped survivors to complete a generator together, is therefore going to have exactly the opposite effect as they will just split up and all do separate gens. It is far more beneficial from a killer perspective to have survivors working on gens together.

I like the idea of themed cosmetics but I wish we could see chapter themed cosmetic sets again like the sets released for the curtain call and shattered bloodlines chapter. A k-pop inspired cosmetic set would be pretty cool.
ohhh I agree, I'd love to see that.

Yes Stridor negates Iron Will and this is intended.

I'll pass on the praise for these cosmetics to the Art Team

I've been sitting at 1400000 forever simply because I'm too lazy to spend them lol.
I'd have had to spend them, I can't not.
I've been trying to get out of the habit of spending BP after every single trial, and I am doing better with that one, but I still can't save up too much - the urge to spend them gets too much LOL
-
Killers are designed to be faster than survivors, they're also much larger and slower on certain things - vaulting for example, their larger hitboxes make things like looping possible as survivors with their smaller hitboxes can get closer to objects to make the loops smaller from their perspective.
The characters that you mentioned both have specific attacks that do speed them up - Leatherface has his chainsaw movement speed (as does The Hillbilly) and Piggy has her dash, these increased movement speeds are for a short time only and essentially make up the killers power.
You do have the opportunity to outrun the killer - vaulting through windows will buy you time as the killer either has to go round or vault themselves, and they vault at a slower speed. And one of the most important mechanics as a survivor is being able to loop the killer, taking correct pathing through jungle gyms etc.

You can also save BP by completeing daily rituals and rift challenges but NOT cashing them in, so in reality you could have an extra 200-400k BP (IDK how much total you can get from the first 2 sections of the rift but thats what I get from pages 3 and 4).
I suck at doing that, I have to claim them instantly, even dailies. I'm really bad at saving up BP, I spend them instantly :)
-
I say MnA - I'm way too lazy to say something fast like that, I jumble my words up :)
-
It's not just you that has to deal with the lag though, it's other players as well - as it affects their games. This is why regions were locked inititally.
-
Leader is a really strong perk, I'm surprised I don't see it in more matches tbh.
-
You can save them for sure, but you won't continue gaining BP from trials - unless some of the BP is part of the Lunar Celebrations log in rewards (gifted BP like that are the only BP's that allow you to go over the 1million BP cap).
-
I don't think we need to respawn hooks, they'e carefully calculated so that they work with various different builds, different map areas. It's about being smart with hooking survivors sometimes, I tend to never go for a hook near a gate during the mid part of the match because I don't want to lose a hook in that area in case it gets to EGC and I will need it.
-
I must admit I've accidentally done this to someone, as I didn't know they were in the locker!
Highlighting the lockers that people are using is probably going to be more abusable though, as people have said - the temptation to sell someone out in a locker would be too great!
-
I've not got any reports that flashlight saves are bugged and personally have not seen any issues (not ruling out a bug here just to be clear)...the only ones I've see are when the timing is off, so the blind happens but the save is not made.
If anyone has any proof that they are bugged, please make a bug report where it can be checked.
-
No it's not bannable.
But please, if this happens (the area where a save can't be made due to a blockable situation), please grab a screenshot and make a bug report as these areas shouldn't happen.
-
No, there is an acknowledged bug report in on this.

Usernames are set on the platform they play on so generally come under those rules and not the game ones in the past.
Interesting question and it would be nice to know if the devs/mods will then report it to the specific platform if you use the end game system or reach out to the player.
Quick answer, no we do not have control over usernames used on platforms such as Steam or Consoles and we do not have the means to pass on tickets to those platforms either.
It's very difficult to report names on a cross platform basis, unless you can find their steam profile you can't report to Steam for example, also bear in mind that different platforms have different name rules so whilst a name might be undesired on the platform you play on, it will be fine on another platform.

For some reason whenever you are going to loot a chest with Plunderers, 8 times out of 10 it will give you a item you need in that exact situation
for example
Injured and teammates are on the other side of the map? game will give you a medkit for free
About to be chased the entire game by a ticked off Bubba? Have a purple flashlight
Last gen is going to pop and the killer is closing in? here's a free Commodious Toolbox for no reason
Teammates are completely useless and go down instantly? take a Purple or Red key free of charge my guy
i don't know why this happens, but i'm trademarking it and naming it "The Darren/Plunderer's Effect" and no one can stop me
Can I have your luck please? I still find brown toolboxes when I use Plunderers!
-
That could be considered griefing @jaredlxxiii those would be handled on a case by case basis by the ACM's
-
Nope, this is not holding the game hostage.
You were bleeding out on the ground, so the game would end naturally.
Slugging a survivor is not holding the game hostage.
-
yeah I can see this getting abused dramatically. And no by choosing a specific killer, the player is not abusing a "broken killer" - I'd like to end that part of the conversation right there, because players are allowed to pick whatever character they choose.
This is definitely something that would get heavily abused and it's also completely unfair to the player to have the character that they've purchased and enjoy playing being denied a match purely because someone doesn't know how to get a match - good nurses would never get a game!
Also, if you never play against a character you never learn how to play against it properly. As you said you play quite a bit of killer, I definitely would suggest playing as Ghostface so you can realise the strengths and weaknesses of the character for yourself and that way it will help you to understand how to play against him more effectively.
-
Glad to hear that @rounder247 enjoy your games!
-
@Ipori can you screenshot what you are seeing and let me know your gamertag please, also what system are you playing on?

I know that we recently had the whole issue with one of the Killers - I think it was Legion, with the frenzy? Where as it turned out, yes they really were moving slower than they should. Basically, I hope someone continues to look into this because I'm not the only one saying this - I've seen others on Twitter and elsewhere say similar, that the survivor speed just doesn't feel right. Like I said, it's not massive - it's not 25% or anything. But it's enough that something just doesn't *feel* right, and I don't think it's just down to the animations. :)
just to correct that, no they weren't moving slower than they should - their fov had changed so they appeared to be moving slower. There was a specific bug that was hard to trace when in Frenzy because it was a standing lunge in frenzy, which isn't something often done, which is why reports were scattered on it. But their speed was never adjusted.
-
Please keep this thread on Topic - it's about OoO not DS!
-
I'm pretty sure that survivors are not actually slower, it's the change in animation that gives this perceived effect...which is why people feel it affects the injured survivors mostly, as that has the biggest animation change.
