  • Going to close this right here, cos we can all see where this is going.

Camping/tunneling/Survivors bodyblocking killer - none of these things are reportable or bannable, there's even perks in the game to help you with these mechanics, ie Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, even Mad Grit from the killer's side and even a new perk was tested on the PTB on behalf of the killer.

  • @comanderbly this forum is not for DbD Mobile, but the Core game, for anything related to mobile you will need to check out their official channels - discord etc.

  • Your save file is located on our system so you should be totally fine.

Have fun with your new PC!

Shrimp is the best, closely followed by salmon. I just can't eat my shrimp if it looks as is does in that pic you have provided. I've had to clean them in the past and it is super gross.

Shrimp in some homemade ramen is divine. It is also delicious when it is battered in coconut and fried. Mmmm. I'm on a diet and can't have any of it 😭. I miss food so much😭😭😭

    ohhhh salmon!

    You're already making me hungry!

I refuse to diet, I love food too much - fortunately I also work as a fitness instructor so get an absolute ton of exercise to balance it out.

  • Whilst the numbers are pretty decent, going by those posted, you have to consider that these might not be players in your area. During the night there's obviously going to be a lot less players and as matchmaking is attempting to matchmake you with people in your own server area then it's naturally going to take longer than it would when the server is well populated.

  • Some time RNG giveth, and sometimes RNG says nope!

  • RBT's are rng this is true, that's pretty much the point of them. They're not there to get kills with, that should be incredibly rare - the whole point of the RBT's are to slow the game down and put some pressure on the survivors, it does get them off gens - if someone pops a gen and has an active trap, you can be sure they're not going to be working on the next gen for example.

The main problem that comes in is when the person who's playing pig actively tunnels the person wearing the trap as they are just focusing on the player who's unlikely to be doing gens and giving the other survivors free rein to get the generators completed - that's what seems to happen the most in matches I'm in at least.

I do think her add-ons need to be looked at, but her base mechanic I think is fine where it is right now.

  • Thank you for your kind comments. Glad that you're enjoying DbD.

Was it Steam last night also?

    it was indeed.

  • Seems to be an issue with Steam, other games are affected as well.

  • https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/230556/a-response-to-those-against-adding-lgbtqia/p1 We've already had a very long discussion on this topic which I think you will see people's point of view and why we value inclusivity in the game.

  • Yes that video is very useful for learning specific tiles - it works for survivor and killer.

  • yeah Prestiging doesn't make any major difference to items/perks/add-ons. There is a slightly increased chance of getting the better add-ons in the bloodwebs but the prices of them remains the same. You can definitely get good add-ons without prestiging, the increase is slight.

  • If exploiting a bug gains a competitive advantage and someone uses that regularly (so obviously knows about it), why shouldn't they be banned?

The whole point is where it gains an advantage, for example when you could split the cosmetics that didn't result in a ban because it gained no advantage.

  • I must admit I don't prestige anymore, I got the achievement which is the only reason I prestiged. I have all perks on all characters and with there being so many great cosmetics now I don't use the prestige ones that I have either.

  • That's pretty hard to enforce, proving that someone hasn't pressed struggle deliberately would be pretty impossible.

  • A lot of this is situational. I will attempt to heal someone at the hook especially if I'm running We'll Make It even if the killer is returning because it buys them more of a chance to survive - there's nothing worse than a survivor running off, leaving a blood trail and heading for the corner of a map when you could have healed them to full and they would stand more chance to survive. Again though, it depends on the proximity of the killer.

Running off and seeking cover to a lot of players means hiding behind a rock in the corner, which is probably the worst thing you can do because you have nothing to use in a chase, you're leaving a blood trail behind you which is easy for the killer to track and you're also not doing anything beneficial to the whole team.

  • I think I prefer to not know. And yes there are certain things that I would do that would change my build if I knew what the killer was - pretty much everyone would equip Iron Will for a Spirit for example and I'd take off Inner Strength if it were a Plague for example.

Also, I think something like this would lead to a lot of lobby dodging, you see it's a killer that you don't like versing or don't like playing against and people would dodge that lobby.

  • Blocking a player in DbD does not mean that you won't be matched with them again - it's a block of friend requests not of matchmaking.

There is no way to prevent a player from matching in with you.

  • One thing I am going to say, which people tend to forget. The mobile version was built later than the Core game and as such has learnt a lot from things that were wanted in the core game. It's way easier when building a game to add things in then rather than going back and adding in things, because you are designing it around those features.

As was said in the clip above, we know it's things that are wanted to be in the game, but right now other things are a priority.

I hope that one day we can do a Stream where we show the processes involved in working on a Live game, I think it would help to end a lot of frustrations that people have.

  • Removing things for survivors to do, is obviously going to focus their attention on solely doing generators which is why I've never used a coin offering as a killer - I love it when a survivor uses a shiny coin when I'm playing killer because I know I'm going to have at least one survivor off gens and searching chests, it naturally slows the game down.

  • Just bringing this up - what Maps didn't it work on for you please? I know Lerys is one, any others?

  • Exactly what the others have said, it's a way to acknowledge a GG in game

  • @CashelP14 thanks for posting these each time, I think they're really helpful.

  • Is this happening every match? I just tried it out and over the course of 3 matches every item had an addon - what perks etc were you running?

  • I love looking back and remembering the game when it was first released. And yeah, this was a time issue - that was a particularly long animation compared to now.

  • Does that happen every match with Freddy, or was it a one off?

  • It's definitely not new, it was done quite a bit when the killer being able to close the hatch mechanic was introduced. It happens to me rarely now, I just see it as an attempt at BM'ing and no big deal.

  • If you come across any of these areas, please try to grab a screenshot with the map code (press escape to see the tile etc) and make a bug report - that way at least QA can find the spots quickly and easily.

Personally I loved his new player enthusiasm to the game.

    So refreshing to see

It really was! He also started picking up the game really quickly, I saw a particularly sick nurse blink hit that he was pretty proud of.

  • I was watching that stream during the night, it was interesting to see his perspective on things.

  • The colour blind mode doesn't change the colours per se, it does change the red on the Deutranope but that's due to people with that type of vision having trouble seeing red on a dark background. The aura's of the perks that you mentioned are yellow so whilst people with other types of colour blindness might see them as a different colour (I think one type of colour blindness would see these as green) they would still see them.

  • I actually like looking how DbD has evolved over the years on YouTube, it was such a long time ago when I started playing this game (at release) and it's gone through many, many changes. It would be great for some of the newer players to see how the game has evolved and get a chance to have first hand experience of the "olden days".

  • Camping/Slugging can be classed as a game mechanic, the same for survivors body blocking a killer from hooking a survivor - it's not "toxic" it's purely part of the game. There's penalty for killers with regards to emblems who decide to stay near the hook, but there should not be a way to stop them playing the game, as they are not breaking any game rules.

  • These lists are not in any order.

    Killer

    1. Enduring
    2. Brutal Strength
    3. Devour Hope
    4. I'm All Ears
    5. A Nurses Calling
    6. BBQ & Chilli
    7. Discordance
    8. Corrupt Intervention
    9. Hex: Ruin
    10. Shadowborn (depending on what killer I'm playing)

    Survivor

    1. Iron Will
    2. Head On
    3. Quick & Quiet
    4. Decisive Strike
    5. Unbreakable
    6. Dead Hard
    7. Borrowed Time
    8. Deception
    9. Leader
    10. Adrenaline

  • I'm usually pretty chill, I play the game to enjoy it - I don't get tilted.

  • Wraith has been one of my favourite killers to play for a very long time, I do love my Wraithy boi. He might not be the strongest but I do well with him and I enjoy the playstyle...must admit I did enjoy the little buffs to him in the PTB as well 😍

  • Are you still having this issue?

  • Did the emblems show that you double pipped?

  • Where you playing Feng in the match against the Doctor? And could anyone else hear your grunts of pain in this match?

As you said, in the Freddy match you weren't injured...Iron Will only works when injured, they are specific grunts of pain.

Thanks for the reply, and thats just it though I am not 100% positively sure so I dont want to cause an issue but sometimes its worse than others. Like I understand the occasional wifi drop on my end but is there any way to be sure it was them? Like I play alot of games but dead by daylight makes me feel like I'm playing COD or something. Sometimes my wifi will go out for hours after a player goes afk after I was winning but I dont feel completely confident that they did something especially because it has happened more than once since I play so often. I face hackers alot more on console but when I play PC at night I deal with what I think is DDosing alot more.

The only way you can actually tell if you've been DDOS'd is with your ISP - they will have the information.

It's actually incredibly rare and not easy to do now with dedicated servers and having all information encrypted, the most likely thing is that as you are playing on wifi, your wifi dropped signal slightly.

  • If you can give more information about what accounts you are talking about, I can try to help.

  • my stomach begs to differ @Mooks I love seafood way too much.

  • I like spicy matches, I will make that save - will try to bait the killer into the hook area, but that's likely to fail (they'd be expecting it). Rely on team mates to get the totem.

  • I do think there should be an easier way to search for the perks that you want to use, right now despite it being alphabetical it can take a little while to put the perk on that you want.

  • It's purely coincidental, MMR is not active and has not been active since it was removed from the game some time ago.

Yes that's my point. I don't have a problem with the fact that there's a penalty in place. Personally I've only seen it around a 3 minute penalty, so idk if it goes up based upon how much you disconnect and that's why people complain or how it works exactly. What I have a problem with is the fact that there's a moderator sitting here essentially calling people rage quitters and telling people when they can and can't stop playing the game. That's not what a moderator does. A moderator should explain why they're is such a system in place and what their objective of using the system is and be a neutral voice of reason. Not to comment on a post and tell people they don't have a good enough reason to "rage quit!!!!"

When it comes to Unsportsmanlike Behaviour there is no neutral ground I can take. I am also aware of the original post that started this discussion which is why I've said things the way I have said. I have never once mentioned ragequitting, all I have discussed is DC'ing - which I maintain my stance, ruins the game for the other players in the match and the only time we deem it to be acceptable is for an irl emergency or a game breaking bug - which is why the initial penalty is short, and does increase from there.

I certainly do not advocate for anything against the game rules, which is why DC'ing is punished with a timeout penalty.

  • Yes, it's worth sending it to Support to get the evidence looked at, as long as you made an in-game report at the same time.

This is the Support address: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

  • I'm sorry, but as I said, if you don't like something that is within the game then that's not the fault of the 4 other players that you are effectively ruining the game for!

And yes I play the game, play both sides of the game and rarely SWF.

If I'm not enjoying a particular match, I play the match to the conclusion and move on to the next one, as you are supposed to do.

And I will emphasis, this is exactly why the DC penalty was introduced in the first place, to prevent players from just DC'ing when something happens in the game that they personally don't like.
