No, the OoO change was a proposed change, not confirmed to go through. It was something that we were looking at feedback on, and if it changes it will be done in a future update.
-
Devour Hope is a great perk, it's a high risk, high reward as you rightly said but not purely because the Hex can be cleansed but because there's counterplay in that the survivors can make saves whilst in the killers TR not to trigger DH...which I will do if I can't find the totem to prevent gaining stacks.
Making the perk activate in the TR whilst in a chase will make the perk way too strong imo with limited counterplay, only breaking the totem. The perk is already incredibly strong and I think it's in a great place right now, it rewards the killer for doing well in the match whilst discouraging camping and all the while whilst offering counterplay to it.
If you're committing to chasing the survivor and you are unable to push them away from the hook - then you're still in an excellent position, as you have 2 people for definite off gens and most likely a 3rd who's coming in for the save on the hooked person.
-
We already have acknowledged bug reports in on this issue.
-
Thank you for your feedback on this situation, I have passed the information along to the team.
-
We've made perfectly clear in past streams that map wise we're concentrating on the map/graphical reworks so there won't be new maps at the moment. But we're not dismissing the idea of introducing a new map for this Chapter in the future either - it won't be at the time of the Chapter release of course, but it may come in the future.
-
Sorry but cross progression is only available between Steam, Stadia and shortly Switch. We do not know if it will be available for other platforms in the future. That is as much information as we have at the present time I'm afraid.
-
Right now there's not going to be a new map, but that's not saying that there won't be one for this character in the future - it's not set in stone basically.
-
Whilst representation might not be important to some, it's most definitely important to others. And it's quite often those that don't feel it's important are those who are automatically represented well in areas of games and in life - so in my case single white female, pretty much well represented everywhere. So I probably take representation for granted to a large degree.
However, I can fully understand and have seen how important representation is to all minorities. And as DbD is a game that promotes inclusivity and has a diverse playerbase we saw how the characters evolved and we did review our plans on our original position with regards to sexuality, gender etc. So definitely, this is something that's going to be implemented in the game at some point - when it will be done correctly and hopefully with the full support of all our playerbase.
On that note, I am going to close this thread here - the topic has been discussed at length over the past few days and right now it's basically going around in circles, myself and many other forum users have explained why diversity and inclusivity is important in the game, and bhvr have made their position on this very clear themselves. So it's not about if but when this will be implemented.
Thank you to all who've remained civil & mature when discussing this topic, it would be great if we can have discussions like this again in the future here - without having to delete some of the comments we were forced to.
-
Deliverance is really handy in solo queue if you're not usually the first person hooked - I use it, and it's often the only way that I will get unhooked.
Head On is probably my favourite perk in the game and I run it with Deception and Q&Q, it's my favourite build - yes it's definitely a bit of a meme, but it's also a lot of fun for me, and as I put fun above anything in this game, it definitely fits that criteria.
-
@rounder247 If you can check your private messages on this forum please, I've messaged you for further information.
-
If you have deuteranopia, yes you were mostly likely not seeing the scratchmarks they way they should have been seen before, for example people with that type of colour blindness will really struggle to see red on dark backgrounds in particular - it can all look like a muddy brown, so with that particular filter turned on it should be viewable the way it's designed to be seen.
-
Are you still having these issues?
-
Please don't promote things that are against either DbD EULA or Steams EULA - such as selling Steam Accounts
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7496-ROJC-3719#buyorsell
-
Have you tried restarting Steam, it often doesn't show up for me until the 2nd or 3rd restart.

I don't get it, we were told this chapter was gonna be lgbt related but I see nothing related to it, is the new killer lgbt or the survivor in some way?
There has been no word from bhvr about this chapter being LGBT related - we've said it is something that will come in the future, it was never said it would be this Chapter, this was pure speculation.
-
You are free to report players who are AFK, I am sure if it's a constant thing they will be looked into.
As for not getting chase points, I don't have a definite answer as to why (if) this was changed but if it was, it's probably to avoid and discourage farming points as much as possible.
If a killer is AFK in a match I'm in, I will just do the gens and leave asap.

Yes,i know.
I just wanted to point out that respecting pallets can be good against bad players that camp pallets.
Other than that you obviously shouldn't respect them
I actually quite like respecting pallets early in a chase, or at least the 1st pallet, then catch them out in subsequent chases when I definitely do not respect the pallet :) I also run BS & Enduring a lot (brutal strength is a bit of an addiction).
-
It's definitely something that you can play around - even looking at the ground as you move towards an area gets around Spine Chill.
@GHOSTfaceP3 makes a very good point that it does help with accessibility as well although because of the counterability to the perk (not looking in that area), I'd say Diversion would be a little stronger in those circumstances. I know DeafGirl Gaming relies on Diversion a lot to help to know when in Killers TR.
-
It's pretty hard to avoid it because you're locked in animation. What helps is that the survivor is often wasting a lot of time by getting that blind off (plus I run Enduring), and for some reason they don't realise that sounds are a thing and that we can track with audio as well - at most it buys a couple of seconds extra chase.
-
Sometimes, it depends on how the game has gone. If I've seen that one survivor has really carried their team and sacrificed themselves to save others then yes I will often reward with the hatch or exit gate. I'm not really bothered about kills in a match as I play for fun and enjoy the chase element of the game more than anything, so I'm not bothered about whether a survivor lives.

Bhvr are developers who actually listen to fans and recommendations so it could be possible. In recent months people and myself included have been asking for a in game chat feature as it's really hard to communicate with players from other consoles and now they are implementing it
There is no in-game chat feature.
I very much doubt that something like this will ever be implemented into DbD it's completely against the whole style of the game, the survivors have limited means to fight back, they don't have weapons and the whole design of the game is around hide/seek/chase - not fighting, and I do not see that changing.
-
Whilst I do think the rank system can be improved (this will hopefully happen when a skill based matchmaking system is introduced) I complete disagree that surviving a match should automatically give you a pip. A pip is given dependent on how much you do in a match, how much you've assisted your team etc. Someone who's hidden all match and done nothing and let the team carry them to the exit doesn't deserve to receive a pip in that match as they've not contributed in the slightest.
Surviving is only part of the objective and the success or failure for a single survivor to achieve their objective can be on the team as a whole. You can of course play in a selfish manner and purely spend the trial doing nothing to help the team complete the objectives, but you certainly shouldn't be rewarded for the play in the same manner.

There is a possibility that the mmr is on again...
So with the killer you play well, you will get matched with good survivors, but with the killer you dont play, you will face potatoes.
The bad part, if its on, is that be did not say a thing...
No MMR is not actively used in matchmaking at all at the moment. It is running in the background collecting data, but that is all.
-
Please keep the personal disagreements out of the thread.
As to the thread itself - I'm failing to see the relevance of it, there's so called toxicity on both sides of the game. I think that's pretty much the nature of a PvP game at the end of the day. As long as nobody is cheating or exploiting anything and playing purely with what the game gives them, I see no problem and that goes for either side.
-
Yepp that's my question as well (which is why I asked about perks) if Ruin was still up and the totem hadn't been broken yet?
-
Do you remember what maps you were on where it counted as two and what map you were on when it didn't count at all please?
*I'm not sure if makes a difference but I want to get as much info as I can on it*
-
I managed to get this yesterday so it did proc for me - I got it on a Coldwind map, I think I made the requirements on an Autohaven Map but couldn't be certain. What I did find was vaulting through the same window in a chase didn't count - I'm presuming that part is intentional.
-
The data is being collected as we speak, the system has been active in the background purely collecting data for quite some time. It might need a few matches to fully "settle in" from a matchmaking point of view (on this I am not completely sure)...but nobody will be starting from a score of 0, it should be fairly accurate very early on.
We will obviously communicate more information on the system prior to it going Live, and any questions you have, feel free to direct them to me and I will do my best to get answers at that time.

This isn't the game for it. There's PLENTY of representation in the general media (depending on where you live) about all the different sexualities, genders and everything that that is non-conforming. Why do we need those characteristics in a game about murder and brutality?
You can say you're represented, but how do you know? None of the characters sexualities or genders have been officially confirmed, so just like everyone else, you're making an assumption there (unless I missed something).
Technically they have been mentioned, as discussed above.
It's never been said though that any of the characters have been in a same sex relationship for example.
And whilst you might not agree that "this is the game for it" I will say this is exactly the game for people to feel represented in - we have a large and diverse player base and they have every right to feel as represented by the characters that they choose to play as anyone else does.
-
A players individual skill score won't be known to them or to anyone else firstly. It's something that will be kept hidden and it will be used for matchmaking purposes only - Ranks won't be used at all for this once this skill score is implemented, but I believe they will still be visible.
I don't believe that the conditions for increasing/decreasing the score will also be made public (but I could be wrong on this, but I don't expect so), at least not at the initial stage.
-
Whilst representation is not important to many people, doesn't mean it's not important to everyone. A lot of people aren't concerned about representation because they're automatically represented in so many things - for example me as a single, white, straight woman - there's quite a few characters in the game that I identify with, without even thinking about it. BUT for some people it's important that they feel represented and it's something that we've said we find important as well - I can't emphasis that point enough.
-
that's the cutest thing I've seen all day! Already I am having a better Monday for seeing it :)
-
Lets not go into this discussion please, whilst something might appear "dumb" to you - you don't take into consideration that the player might have valid reasons for saying what they have said. People have a right to an opinion and to express that here within the forum rules.

i've already stated that, as a gay person myself, i'd love to see representation in this game, but i want it to be handled tastefully and have it feel genuine rather than something just done for the sake of having good PR
rest assured that when the time comes for this to happen, it's happening for the right reasons and not for PR purposes. Inclusivity is something that means a great deal to the entire team.

Default, anywhere, anytime Moris I completely agree. However, if the Killer had to meet some kind of Criteria to achieve a Mori through base gameplay, would that be less unhealthy?
The current ways mori's are, yes I think it would be unhealthy - there'd be no point in survivors even making that 2nd save for example if they know the mori is definitely always going to happen.
I think if there's a complete change (not even things connected with hooks etc) it could work - but that's a whole gameplay change and I'm not that creative I'm afraid.
I'd have no problems with Cypress being basekit as that one doesn't really affect gameplay at all.

Hi, if you wish to report a bug please use the correct sub forum as we are unable to move posts to that section due to the set-up of the sub forum. Thank you.

You didn't read my post but you actually bring up something i missed. Flashlight saves
I actually read all of it, which is why I disagree that basekit mori's are healthy for the game.
-
I can't say @Pig_Is_Pog I moved this to feedback/suggestions and I can pass the suggestion along, but I don't make the decisions on these things, that's up to the Game Designers at the end of the day.
-
I'd be firmly against something like mori's being basekit in the game - the amount of game mechanics they can still circumvent such as flashlight saves, hook blocks etc being one of the main reasons.
-
Most killer mains that I know are happy with the proposed change to Decisive, I think it's also going to be much healthier for the game and definitely a lot less abusable than it is now.
-
Can you give more information please?
What perks where you running, did you get the prompt to damage the generator - did you hold the button to fully complete the action etc (it takes a little while to fully complete) ?
-
- This can be for a few reasons, some circumstances where the bug occured were fixed for example. Also there was more than 1 bug attached to the pip issue and we commented on the one that was fixed which was this one:
- Fixed an in issue that could cause incorrect values for the Unbroken emblem.
-
Getting chased most definitely does pause the timer of the Pig's RBT's.
-
This could be way too easily abused as it was when it was tested. Even with the "not in chase" inclusion it would be abusable. Killer sees the survivor as he's hooking someone, the survivor hides in the area, killer knows survivor is there - why should the killer be punished in those circumstances?
I don't think slowing down hook timers is a good solution to hook camping, also we have perks such as Borrowed Time to deal with possibilities like this so I don't think it's a massive problem.
-
The timer has not been changed. If you think there's an issue when you are being punished when you've not DC'd (please remember that crashes are considered as DC's), then please contact Support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000836752
-
I must admit I am in agreement BT working based on distance rather than terror radius, I think it would be a lot more beneficial with the number of stealth killers that are in the game now
-
@FastestVirginia I have it listed as a bug - thank you.
-
Bullied? Harassed?
Definitely not! We have explained why, many times now and when an LGBTQIA character is added to the game - it will be done properly, putting something in for the sake of it, is not something we want to do.
I'm closing this right here!
-
obviously...
