First off, the new map is gigantic and extremely survivor sided, with the most obvious and open totem locations, and no chance for stealth killers to sneak up on anybody. Not to mention that there is probably 2 square feet of grass on the ENTIRE MAP, so trapper and hag pretty much don't have a power anymore.
The main building also has 2 god windows with breakable doors to make them decent loops, but there is also a near-infinite in the main building as well.
The new survivor character model and voice acting is cool, sure. But his new perks are either worthless (Corrective action and exponential), or encourage the worst type of gameplay (Holding w with overcome).
The new killer is even worse. Yeah sure she is fun to play AS, but she is essentially a triple pyramid head with no slowdown, so she just traps every entrance to a loop so you are FORCED to hold w. Terrible killer design. Whenever me and my SWF group see that its the Artist, we all agree to just split up and gen rush to end the game as fast as possible instead of going for flashlight and pallet saves, etc.
I was not excited at all for the new chapter, especially after it fully released from the PTB. I'm very disappointed that a company with 850 employees KEEP FALLING FOR THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER. Nobody wanted another pyramid head/nemesis killer with a gigantic, over-powered survivor map. Both playing as the new survivor and against the new killer just encourages holding w and gen rushing. Its sad to say that the game was better BEFORE this chapter released. I sincerely hope that VHS has the 'Valorant' effect that Valorant had on CSGO. These devs need to kick their asses in gear and actually IMPROVE the game instead of making ######### cash grabs every 3 months.
1) Map isn't actually gigantic, pretty average-sized map. It is similar in size to ormond, farm, macmillian etc, not actually red forest or rpd sized.
2) the god windows aren't decent loops once the walls are broken, they become nearly useless and give the survivors almost no distance. Break the 2 walls that exist, and the main building has nothing.
3) Her gameplay in the PTB encouraged holding W the most, since walking into crows injured you, but now she has actual counterplay and misplay potential, similar to going against a nurse or Pyramid Head.
4) Nothing this chapter "encourages" gen rushing and holding w more, if that is the only way you can win then cheers but that is clearly not how others feel, the meta is still the same and a new strong killer was added.

Decisive Strike
Dead Hard
Boon: Exponential
Borrowed Time
Does anyone know any perks that are particularly effective against the Twins? People like to joke that there are 2 Twins mains but I've been seeing them fairly regularly recently.
(Also, only semi related I have had one successful pick up with Exponential on Midwich. It was on the top floor and the killer ran to the other gate to stop the other survivor from opening it, that survivor gave me enough time to pick myself up and open the gate. Another time a guy picked himself up but was immediately downed again. So two pick ups in 100+ games. OP perk tho.)
Just loading in and playing normally is the best counter, eventually the twins player will realize the devs made them feel horrible for getting an 8 second stun any time they play successfully and will lose hope, then the win is easy

IMHO: This is the biggest problem with playing Killer at most levels of DBD - if you don't 3 or 4K, the game feels like you lost.
Take Survivor, you can still objectively have a fun, rewarding experience even if the killer 3Ks. Hell, sometimes even dying to insure the killer only 3Ks is still a fun, rewarding experience.
Imagine how bad this game would feel like as a Survivor, if even if you escaped, you felt like it was a loss unless everyone also escaped?
Yet, playing killer, failing to kill 2... and watching the survivors teabag you in the gate until you eventually escort them on their way feels like a loss.
Whether this is a community created perception image or something the game somehow cultivates, I think everything would get better if they found a way to fix this... because right now the Devs balance the game around 2 kills, 2 escape. Because of that, they're always going to seem to be against killers... because the very nature of their game design is to balance the killer around having a game that's perceived (by the community) to be a loss.
The game needs to feel better for a killer who only gets 2 kills... if this is how the Devs want to balance it.
I'd actually say the opposite. As killer if I play really good and get hooks but don't get 4 kills, I still get good amount of BP, it feels great, but as Survivor even playing a good match then escaping doesn't feel rewarding, you get so little BP as survivor.
Not to mention as killer I can just bring BBQ and play really casually and lose and get even more BP
-
Even the legion still had cosmetics and content galore, even if balance-wise they were basically never talked about.

Clearly the Devs don’t know what they are doing when making a map so huge and how much it affects 80% of the killer roster
I am surprised how nobody has mentioned how big the map is and all its breakable walls
how many breakable walls? Isn't there only like 3? 2? Only in the main building and once they are gone, it is the weakest main building

Yeah it is sad. I may hate going against them and playing as them but at this point I hope they get love because it sucks to see any killer go through what the Twins are going through.
Agreed, people hated spirits a lot but it would be devastating if they were gutted to nothing and then never gave anything again

I guess I'm just thankful that my PC can boot up the game so I can still collect the login rewards and input my codes. But yeah, definitely can't play the game on PC for awhile :/
I'm hoping I don't go against even more hackers now that they can just get the game free.

Survivors can absolutely hold the game hostage. It's not difficult to hide on the map and rotate between tiles so the crows never appear.
Any Survivor can do this. You are claiming a Killer can make a player leave the match with less than 9K, that is literally only something a Bubba can do, and even then, you have to down them first, and it's not difficult to loop Bubba.
Then there's lots of very questionable things which are frustrating to play against, but I wouldn't necessarily call them scummy. Such as, body blocking a hook (I get its team play, but if you are body blocking the first hook when a Killer is already losing badly, then its uncalled for), excessive use of flash lights at every pallet (I get its efficient to use them this way, but its incredibly annoying). Then obviously survivors have the ability to BM at pallets, windows, the exit gates (and BM they do). Flashlight clicking is done specifically to try and rile the Killer up often.
How is that not scummy?
Your survivor bias is really showing if you think that only Killers can be "scummy" in this game.
Again, your examples of "playing scummy" as survivor weren't scummy. Bodyblocking isn't scummy, it is team play like you said, using flashlights for their literal intention isn't scummy, and BM'ing is scummy, but it doesn't affect gameplay lol. It isn't survivor bias, it is you targeting a specific thing I said, which I said applies to both sides lmao

I see zero unsafe pallets. If you're talking about the rock loop ones, try using a 110% killer against those.
Yeah but as a 110 killer, you will most likely have an ability that lets you get easy hits, why are you trying to m1?

"this mindset that killers join a game and then lose instantly with 0 hooks" no one really has that mindset though so your argument is invalid.
It's widely agreed that against a competent team you can definitely get plenty of hooks, maybe even hook everyone.
Also some interesting part of your post is that, when describing Survivors running meta perks, you just described it normally. But when you got to Killer...
"You can play scummy, you can throw on the best perks, you can throw on the best killer"
Interesting choice of the word "scummy" to use to describe someone who simply wants to win as Killer. Maybe that is one of the issues, any Killer that puts on strong perks or uses strategies like tunnelling/camping is instantly described with quite severe words like scummy. But 4 survivors running DS/IW/UB/DH is just par for the course at this point.
Except, I separated the wording between playing scummy, and using the best things to win. Not every survivor needs to play scummy because there isn't really a way to do that, unless you count throwing on the best stuff, but for killer there is most definitely things I can do that are scummy playing as a killer. A survivor can't hold a killer hostage and make them leave the match with less than 9k bp, but a killer can. A survivor can play toxic sure, but besides throwing on the best stuff, then scummy isn't super possible as killer, and if you disagree, then both sides can be scummy, but I separate using the best items, perks, addons, and killers; and playing scummy.
Also that mindset is most definitely there. You can look anywhere on any platforms and see people complaining about killer and saying they are quitting because winning isn't possible. Did I overexaggerate? Sure, but is it not true to some extent? The amount of people acting like they need noed to get kills, want noed basekit, etc. Do survivors also do this? Of course, but the community instantly shuts them down while on the killer side people act like any change is good even if it is unhealthy.

Any killer is S tier against potatoes. Generally most killer releases start out 'Over performing' get whinged at by survivors and then get gutted. You just need to take a look at all previous killers released. The only exception recently was Trickster, but even he's not getting moaned at since his much needed buff. Give it a month and watch the nerf hammer come down on Artist..
It also makes more sense to sell a killer in an 'Over performing' state. It gets sales. When they have your money that's when the nerfs happen.
If it makes more sense to sell a killer that is overperforming, why didn't they do that for trickster, nemesis, pig, clown, bubba, ghostface, and cenobite? They say pinhead was overperforming but he really wasn't op. What recent killer got the super nerf hammer? Pinhead? Oh no they nerfed a broken addon :(( did his other addons need nerfed? No, but he wasn't made worse to play. Nemesis wasn't nerfed either, he just got his addons buffed. Stop trying to spread this thing of killers being released broken and being gutted, that is just objectively false.
-
I personally like this new map, almost all the loops are just super unsafe pallets for survivors, and then the regular tiles that are on every map, not a huge deal. I've heard complaints of the new main building, but I dont get it. It has 2 windows that are god windows, but if you just break the walls, they are the worst windows in the game lmao. In the upstairs there are two god pallets, but they also leave survivors in compromising areas, not easy to run away areas like other maps, especially one of the god pallets upstairs that require survivors to run through the upstairs hallways longer and trap them there.
Really, break the walls and the main building is one of the more refreshing ones. The only thing I can think about as a complaint is the size, but the gens don't feel too spread out, I have gotten great 3 gens

Not calling you stupid, but that argument has just been regurgitated just to minimize the genuine frustrations that people have as Killer.
wasnt minimizing the situation, just saying it is silly to act like killers can never do anything in a match when that isn't the case, they need to stop acting like they have matches with 0 hooks and get steamrolled because if that is happening, it is your own fault.

I hate to regurgitate info here but I feel like the point here is sorely missed. After finally getting into higher MMR games, where almost every group is some number of SWF teams.... with or without the strongest perks in the game you still have an exceptional chance to get 0ks -- consecutively, not just once or twice.
I am so burdened with my favorite killers that I'd much rather simply only play Huntress because at every level of play she is strong. That is the only chance I have. That or face multiple frustrating defeats before being placed in what can only be considered "my real MMR" due to the fact that SWF teams are too strong for this game.
Again I don't think I missed the point, I truly still think killer is weaker in the broadest span, and that killer needs base kit gen regression buffs like 5 years ago. The killers I actually do the best with and have fun with only go against people with the same builds over and over, it is definitely boring and annoying. The point of the post is just that I think it is silly to have this mindset that killer joins a game and then loses instantly with 0 hooks, while I, and many other good killer mains, don't have that problem. I know it isn't all about winning, but if they use the best stuff then why is it always a surprise when loss comes when you aren't also using all the best stuff? That doesn't make survivors op or their perks broken, it means the base game needs fixed.
-
@pseudechis said:
I think what your missing here is that the theme of the game should have the fear and pressure on the survivors to survive rather than the killer to kill them.
So killer power should be equivalent to 4 survivors in power. Meaning 1v1 survivors should expect to be screwed but as a coordinated group they have a chance. That's largely true but not entirely.
While a lot of map layouts were fixed, survivors are still in a really strong place 1v1 with the killer.
You'll notice the META perks are all mainly perks that improve the 1v1 element of the game, DH, DS, Ironwill, Adrenalin, Sprint burst. Its possible to extend a 1v1 chase for so long that half the survivor objective can be complete before 1/6th of the killer objective is complete. That's a totally disproportionate ability to build pressure.
Also survivors virtually never lose time investment where if the killer is dropping chases constantly to apply pressure elsewhere then all the time spent chasing is lost investment. It takes killer intervention to stop survivor investment by regressing gens, but gen regression is often so small compared to the speed survivors can heal up, and tap gens, to reset killer pressure.
Its now even easier to heal up and reset pressure as survivor because most of the time you don't need a second survivor to help you heal. You can reset killer pressure solo further increasing survivor 1v1 power.
This is where boons become problematic because they create a fairly powerful group wide ability to quickly reset 1v1 killer pressure. Reducing even snowball spread damage tactics that a large number of killers rely on to be viable.
Yeah killers in many ways are stronger then they've ever been but it could also be argued that survivors are stronger 1v1 then they've ever been, so most of the killer strength is rendered mute 1v1 and potentially uselss against coordinated 1v4. It takes some mad killer skill and a lot of luck to apply high pressure against coordinated survivors who can compete evenly 1v1.
That just feels wrong within the context of a suvival horror game where the goal is to escape the big scary monster.
It also leads to killer players applying to most valuable and consistent pressure they can which is remove a survivor as quickly and early as possible. So everyone complains about tunneling when by very design you can't find a better way to apply permanent pressure than to remove one survivor ASAP, as often other efforts are too easily reset offering little to no value objective wise.
I fully agree, I'm not saying there aren't things that killer needs buffed, killers have needed better gen regression as base for 5+ years now, and some survivor things are just dumb imo, I firmly believe Prove Thyself is the worst designed perk in the game, dead hard second. My post is basically just feeling annoyed at this mindset that killers join a game and then lose instantly with 0 hooks, while I don't have that happen and I see many other great killer mains also still playing good matches.
Are survivors stronger than killer? Well yeah, survivors don't have variations and differences really like killers do. A trapper will of course be harder, a clown can get smashed harder than a oni, etc, but does that mean killers can't ever win? Not in my eyes, I have seen some of the lowest tier killers dominate high level survivors. It isn't impossible
-

The fun strong things are only fun for so long, people like to have fun and win but this game has limited tools to do so while still not being trounced 24/7 by 3-4 average of meta perks, the problem is the killer side strong stuff gets boring faster for most people than the survivor side so people just leave killer to the easier to play for longer side
Oh yeah totally agree, I really don't like playing meta, they are just boring perks to me and it feels much better to win against good teams using my own skills I've grown to play this game for so long.

Ah yes another survivor main topic where the point is "killer just accept that you lose".
Survivors constantly ask for everything strong killers have to be nerfed and then wonder why killers don't want to play anymore.
I am not a survivor main, I have been playing mostly killer for about 4 years, just saying that even with bad killers, you can play scummy and get wins using the best addons and perks, just like how survivors do. Not asking for anything to be nerfed, just saying killers can definitely play oppressive.

Didn't know that. So instead of shooting all three when you know where someone is, shoot one and if you get lucky and you try for the combo to down them
Yes indeed, using one to start a swarm is super consistent, following up with more because it takes longer to repel then you get them back.
-
@RainehDaze said:
Because you still get matched against people trying their hardest and using their best perks.
Also, the idea that one role shouldn't be more stressful than the other is common sense? Yes, it's 1v4, so the 1 should have as big of an impact as the 4. At the beginning of a match, it should be equally stressful for everyone. Not "killer is immediately under a ton of pressure to achieve anything at all", and Survivors only get some pressure once someone's actually dead early.
Except just like I said, if the killer wanted to add that same stress they most definitely can. I get it is annoying to get matched up against people using only the same 4 perks over and over and tryharding, that is about all I can go against on the killers I am great at and enjoy, but if I wanted to win and play tryhard like them it is certainly possible to do so, that is the point of the post.
Also how is it common sense that one role shouldn't be more stressful? A role that has to be their entire team would, in common sense, be more stressful than the role with 3 team members and then yourself.

It's not better damaging potential. Legion can deal a health state pretty much guaranteed AND it gives deep wound. Damaging with Pinhead's chains is simply an alternative way of aiming skillfully to deal damage, in the way that Huntress aims or Nurse aims.
Yeah but legion also has to catch up to the survivor and still deal with loops and etc, legion doesnt run very fast either. Pinhead can walk up to any tile, loop, building in the game and land the first hit with engineers fang, throw on the original pin addon and you can add deep wound to those second hits as well, not to mention you still have the interruption potential of pinhead.

Her power works like this:
- You place a bird.
- You place another bird, refreshing the duration of bird 1 and so forth.
- There is a small range in front of the bird that will immediately damage on contact. Outside of this range, they just get swarmed.
- Hitting a swarmed player with another bird damages them, but swarms are too fast and easy to repel to make this reliable.
Honestly, she feels a bit on the weaker side. The hitbox of the birds feels tiny and extremely prone to validation. Her addons are also a touch 'meh'.
That said, let's see what experienced players can do with her. She might just have a massive skill floor that I have yet to reach.
Visually she's great (I'd prefer a more 'natural' looking projectile, but that's just personal preference).
Actually if you only shoot one crow, say to swarm, the cooldown before you get all 3 back is actually much faster than they can repel, so the more crows you use, the more cooldown they have. This rewards you for being accurate with one crow, then following with a very easy injure since you have 3 crows to use.

Are we pretending that other ranged Killers' ability to get a second hit doesn't exist? Or the iri hatchet?
Oh yeah not disagreeing with the fact that you still need to get a follow up hit, but with engineer's fang he not only had a better chance to get a first hit more than any other killer, but also still had a very strong slowdown ability.

Now that only 2 chains spawn, you have to run the purple add-on, that spawns an additional chain when one breaks, just for Engineer's Fang to be as good as it was before. So from a pink that does well on its own... to a pink and a purple needed to compensate. OR you could think of it as pre-nerf Engineer's Fang but with the joke add-on, Bent Nail I believe, which spawns 1 less chain for more blood points. When a nerf turns an add-on into what was basically a joke add-on, you know it was messed up.
Do you just forget the fact that the addon still gives him a better damaging potential than any other killer? It should have a tradeoff like it does now, and it is the only nerfed addon that makes sense lol

It's because a majority of solo survivors are terrible at the game. And those terrible survivors are usually carried by one person on the team who knows how to actually play survivor appropriately. It's not because they're toxic or want to bully killers all day. It's because they don't want to run the killer for 5 minutes and watch as only 2 gens get done. So the natural solution is to play with other players of equal skill. It's just a massive improvement to the survivor experience. You can talk to people and have fun instead of watching the randoms crouch in the corner while you get hook smacked. It gives you a reliable team.
There's so many more avenues you could take with SWF gameplay wise. You can do challenges with your friends. You could go for bold plays and have someone back you up during it. Or you could just troll the killer the whole game (which is the part that gives swf a bad rep). It also solves a lot of the issues survivors face which is tunneling and camping. With coordination you can get a save and body block. Some solo survivors will do this but most of the time they run away even while having BT.
It's crazy how much being able to communicate with your team improves the game. Part of the reason I don't play survivor very often is because of the solo-que experience. SWF's are equipped to deal with the killer meta, where as most solo's will lose because the killer brings oppressive builds that require communication to handle.
TL;DR: swf removes everything that makes solo stomping so easy.
I just play SWF with my girlfriend, it is the one of the only games we both enjoy together.

I cant speak for anyone else but when i say I main Killer or when i hear that term in general maining Killer means that if something were on the line albeit a tournament and or $$$ is on the line I would play Killer and not survivor at all.
There is this misconception that "Killer mains" only play Killer and this is false. I play killer 55% of the time and survivor 45% of the time and im strong on both sides ie im strong at the game period!
Does it mean that i can play Killer a little more than survivor? Yes of course especially when i die 4 games in a row at the end game because my team is bad and doesnt even attempt to get me because either they dont know how or are too scared (without NOED btw lol)
Killer mains dont generally complain even when we clearly see that this game is significantly in the survivors favor (maps, boons etc) but survivor mains will complain about NOED which i always found funny.
If you play both and can do well then your just really good at the game. Anyway the survivors that complain about NOED are usually survivor mains who "only" play survivor, and will only look at things from they're own perspective just saying. I main killer because i can get way more enjoyable games despite how hard they may be. Survivor isnt as enjoyable at times again because how bad people are at the game on average, people make horrible descisions most of the time, letting someone getting 2 hooked, 1 hooked etc. Really bad
It takes literally one look at reddit or the forums to see killer mains acting like the whole world is against them and the game sucks. That isn't saying that only killers complain tho, both sides complain fairly often and it is just false to say one side is more than the other. I am a killer main but I play about 60% killer, 40% survivor, and I've been playing for about 4 years and the game has always been like this, both sides are about equally toxic or complaining.

I always saw it as a insta heal sort off perk but it needs you to heal another survivor a full health state in order to activate. This is really difficult to achieve when playing solo.
I personally believe it won’t ever be meta, as there are better options for healing perks. Maybe if it activates when healing yourself?
Opression is the second one. The 80 second cooldown hurts this perk a lot. It has potential to be strong but it’s isn’t there yet. Start off by lowering the timer to 60 seconds (if generous enough, 40 seconds) or leave at 60 seconds + incapacitated status if missing the skill check. This can also apply to overcharge.
Now I ask you guys, what perk did you think was going to be meta?
I always thought crowd control was gonna be super nutty, but it being a hex and just being situational makes it eh

genuinely didn't even know deadhard tanked damage. another token on the survivors side of balance, then. thanks.
It doesn't tank damage, it gives you I-frames where damage can't be done, because of validation though, it makes it more consistent, not more OP. You technically didn't hit them, it gave you the missed attack cooldown because the server didn't see it as a hit, you just get the blood and scream effect on your screen.
Also not to be mean but you are clearly a newer player, please stop spreading this "wow survivors have even more advantage" until you actually improve yourself and learn the game, killers aren't oppressed and horrible to play lmao. You would have gotten her if you just...waited one second lol

I think in just a game sense CoH is by far the best in the game, it is way less situational and has a great simple effect. I think Exponential is just way more situational and counterable UB, won't be that bad at all, and while I run shadowstep on my build and it is my favorite of the boons, I am not gonna act like it is the best, a good killer just won't be bothered by it at all.

Even then, you can do 150s, but I agree it should be way more responsive
Oh yeah you are right, people act like us console players suck but we can nearly do everything the same, just takes a tad more practice and muscle memory.

As a 110 Movement Killer how I am supposed to counter a 3 gen counter tactic? Everytime I chase someone off their are running in areas where no gen's are or are decent in looping? I already cut chases if their are longer as 20 seconds and even if I chase them off the gen's there is a 2 Survivor nearby for just tapping it or start to repair it while I chase someone! I already use slowdown perk builds but it has no use.
If you are a 110 killer I'm assuming you have a chasing tool, just keep injuring until they make a mistake but do not leave your 3 gen. 3 genning relies on you staying around it and protecting the gen over kills. Just stay calm and no eventually they will mess up and you will get them.

You obviously have never played console if you think we can flick. Our DPI isn't high enough to swing around we do an Arc not a U-turn. We can't do these fancy smancy moves y'all do. You have to raise your DPI to do these things and since you would have to use third party software on your mouse to do that. IT IS AN EXPLOIT. Am I saying it should be fixed? No, doesn't change what it is.
Actually no, console players can most definitely do all the base flicks same as PC, it is just harder to do, but not impossible. We just can't do 180 flicks.

Like I'm not one to play devil's advocate or fence sit when it comes to discussions between two parties especially with survivor and killer side of the community however as much as i agree mostly with killer's frustrations with dealing with perks that are too forgiving to the survivor I really have to ask ... Can you really blame them?
Like I seriously think that a good amount of killer mains see other killer mains with actual good points for the games balance and go into their games with the mentality that all survivors are out to get them or are toxic just because they got stunned with a pallet once or something. God the amount of times I've been camped on hook, like not as a last resort or because the killer saw all of us no... CAMPED from the start of the game, killer gets no bites so they go on a chase, then I get unhooked finally and they abandon chase to go back for me. Even with SWF there's not much you can do to avoid a deathhook, just struggle for as long as you can and hope the gens get done.
I'm not against killers using the strongest add ons, perks, hell take NOED at least it'll get me to search the map and play the game. But being tunelled out of the match at the start, no items in hand no teabagging etc really blows. And 9/10 times those killers are super toxic about doing it too. One example is a killer tunnelling the whole game and only getting one kill and accusing players of gen rushing when the case was just a teammate being good and mind gaming them and them not knowing when to abandon a chase.
Like I seriously try to advocate for killer mains I really do, playing killer is so stressful against a good team of survivors with meta perks, but with tunneling and camping still being as strong of a strat to get an early kill I can see why so many survivors run the same few perks over and over, especially in solo queue where it seems like a hard requirement to run kindred or borrowed time or DS etc etc. (Personally I have nothing against slugging)
Also something to really take into account, playing either side is stressful against a good opponent. It seems like this game has a heavy problem of "it wasn't my fault" when losing, but if you look at really good killer mains, why don't they ever really say that? A huge thing a lot of streamers advocate for is rewatching games and trying to improve yourself but you never see anyone actually do it, I did it for a long time and you come to realize a lot of problems have easy or super simple solutions by just staying calm and playing good.
Most meta perks aren't a hassle if you don't play heavy in what they counter, and almost every meta perk is a one time use, bar BT. If you hard tunnel and get hit by DS, what did you expect? Meta perks for survivors are all second chance perks, why wouldn't they be? A survivor is literally supposed to survive, of course their best perks will be ones that make that more likely. Killer meta perks are way stronger because they are an almost every situation/game use. Ruin Undying always does the same thing, slow their objective, same with pop etc, but if I as a killer play very hard and good but I don't go out of my way to hard tunnel, slug, and facecamp at every opportunity, they basically have 0 perks.
You are right, killers can't really act mad that survivors are using meta perks if they act like the only way to play the game is to tunnel and facecamp.
Slugging and tunneling are perfectly fine strategies to win, but it is just that, strategies and playstyles, not the only possible way to do it.

Like macro flashlighting. Dropping pallet and tbagging. Running at you with bt up. Ds into headon stunning you. Flashlight blinding at pallets. Ect. Do you roll your eyes or get annoyed? Personally on a good day i don't really care what they do as long as 3 gens don't pop in like first chase. Now on a bad day i might roll my eyes and just try to play normally. But if they force ds onto me i won't say if were down to the last 2 gens and im given the opportunity to tunnel the annoyance let them go. What can i say i aint perfect lol. Hbu?
Eh not really. It is really just a mindgame and sadly a lot of people see it as toxic or mean when it isn't all the time. Using a flashlight as intended isn't really toxic, it is using it how it is supposed to be used, similar to healing with a medkit or doing a gen with a toolbox.
If someone is running at me with BT, I just ignore or wait it out, running at me with DS? Ok i'll just eat it, now you don't have it when I actually need to tunnel. Flashlight clicking at me? Hey, they aren't doing gens lol. After time you just realize the solution to most stuff is just staying calm and handling it correctly, and most of those clicky people aren't even toxic, they do it to get your attention.

I thought if you're a killer you're not supposed to be a joke but a killer that hangs or murder survivors? Why the ######### can survivors do dumb ######### like teabagging at exit gates and have hit validation dead hards with a cocktail of obnoxious flashlights and 4 SWFs? And don't talk to me about the cheaters there's already too many of them to count.
I support killers face camping and especially if they use leatherface. Don't give up killers face camp the ######### outta these fools.
I mean killers aren't a laughing stock if you are good at the game, there are just as much toxic things a killer can do as there are for surviors lmao

Dead By Daylight as a whole would be a whole lot better without these 2 S tier bailouts that everyone refuses to not have in any match. Still Today, cuz that really shows you the GAP in the play base. Every Single Match is a 4 man team running.
DS<DH<BT<and the third is always either Unbreakable, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, or Fixated, Calm Spirit)
EDIT: I'm taking DS out of the whole NERF equation because it's mainly Dead Hard that's the problem.
No other perk set beats it, which is why overall they wouldn't be the only logical perks to take cuz all the others aren't even in the same stratosphere as DH alone. Now could you use other perks and still have escape results? yes but that isn't the trolling killer, t bagging ,circle running, waiting at the exit line.. survivor main at IRI 1.
In my opinion that's a whole reason around DH needing a nerf, make it useable but not the only strongest bailout perk the game has to offer. It makes chases last way to long for how the killer is supposed to play in a round, 2 gens already pop on ONE hook most of the time. That's bringing Corrupt and others ontop of it.
Imagine if they made those 2 less powerful and all the other unused garbage perks would feel worth it to take.
again can't blame them since why wouldn't you take it but like i said, same match every game at high ranks, loop the killer in a circle until the killer runs into either one of our DS's and start the whole system over again when you add in body blocking and DH's as well. They need a change
Dead Hard is a fair complaint perk, but nerf that and SB takes its place, nerf that and etc. Games like this always have a meta and there will always be "the best" to bring. The one solution is to buff the weak perks to hopefully open up new possibilities to builds, but even then, that won't stop some people from using the best stuff and that won't stop the community from complaining when new stuff starts being used.

What's weird is that he actually feels easier to play as for me. But hey, that's probably just me. Maybe I'm just playing him more in order to learn him.
Oh yeah, being asked to actually aim instead of quickscoping weirdly makes landing shots easier for me too, I was fine at quickscoping but I appreciate the sniper feel of him way more.

I started playing Slinger more and somehow he feels... better to play as?
His zoning is actually better because of his movement speed buff, and I've been getting more shots. Cooldown stun add-ons are also really fun with the reduction to his stun time.
Honestly agreed and this feels like how it should've been all along. His counterplay is similar to huntress's now, but he is still really strong in chase and can still land shots, he just takes a little more skill now (that must be why people don't like him). Just like the spirit change, I now also feel less guilty playing him lol
