Pssst no one is forcing anything on you. If you do not like the way the game is changing you have options - you may not like the options, but you have them.

I think you won the reward of the dumbest thing i saw today, with this comment... and its 7:30 AM for me...

Just imagine having 2 chairs, 1 has cake on it, the second one a giant cactus in a shape of D and you have to eat one, and sit on the other.

Everything is fine because you have the options, right?

  • How the new UI feels like:

Yep, total mess, everything is all over the place.

Oh yeah, it got worse the past weeks. But is is bad since they changed the Rank Reset and widened the MM.

I remember the beautiful MM two years ago. I was Rank 13 and i got matched with Rank 16-10. It could happen with swf to get red ranks back then, which made me mad sometimes, but it was still better then now.

I don't know why someone thought a +/-6Rank MM system would be a great idea.

Especially that it seems to take into the account only 1 person in the lobby and not everyone.

Thank you. I noticed recently that Hillbilly is more buffed too. I wasn’t sure exactly what changed, but I have noticed a difference in recent months.

    *Killer gets nerfed*

Entitled survivors: wHy BehAViOuR bUFfs sTRoNk KilLeRz

i dont understand all the killer mains whining and crying about some survivor perks.

the best excuse is "DS is carrying" "bt is carrying" etc

you guys act like Tinkerer, ruin, undying isnt carrying?

Pgtw isnt carrying or any other perk.. these are not carrying matches?

what is wrong with killer mains always attacking survivors and there perks.

"DS needed a rework because it carried survivors" well then every perk who is carrying you needs to be reworked lol

so devs when will ruin, tinkerer get reworked? since something strong shouldnt never a thing in the game right?

gosh stop with the whining its just emberassing nothing else at this point honestly.

there is one perk what carrys me and its RESILENCE well.. i guess soon it will get nerfed since its carrys me every match with faster vaulting.

Pause for a moment and use your brain. DS is not reworked because of that it can carry, but because its widely used outside its indended purpose.

DS should be strictly defensive perk that protects players from getting tunneled, but in fact its used offensively to forbid killer from taking action against survivor, who for example is sitting on a gen and while used with unbreakable it will create lose-lose situations for the killer, who neither can pick survivor up nor slug them.

If you're already injured, they don't really lose anything by doing this because they can drag you into an unsafe area, quickly recover from the miss then down you. That's why it's an issue and one reason it's really not fun to go up against this killer. Stunts like that just feel super cheap.

He loses possible deep wound, which on occasions can be useful.

And this trick stills gives you attack cooldown and you have to reload after doing so and because of it it's not really that effective. Yea, it helps a little, but its not like really strong trick, you will gain nothing if you reload and if you won't you are just 110% killer.

Deathslinger shines only on specific loops, where you can shoot players througth the gaps in the walls.

But i agree, most people find it unfun to play against him because he is strong in chases... but other than that he has nothing... literally nothing and nerfing the only thing he is good at, will only make him useless.

So if you want to do so, find a way to buff him in something else.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

call me paranoid but doesn't this allow swf's to just say screw this and take turns dc'ing to keep the penalty short?

like sure i get why this is more fair but you can also always die on the hook to avoid the penalty anyway.

Oh, ok... let me die on the hook as killer then... or just run across the map to find out that the killer is farming.

And before you say, then just do gens and leave. I just dont want to hold m1 for several minutes, while avoiding being forced to farm.

And if you are scared of swf abusing this let me present a few solutions:

    1. People will be penalised for dcing no matter what if the first dc occured after 5 minutes from the start of the match.
    2. If a person in premade dc'ed, all of the survivors in this premade will be panalised
    3. If point 2 doesent fit you then game can keep track of swf wide dcs, and if it detects a select number of dcs party wide, it will punish everyone in said party heavily
    4. If one person from the swf dcs, the rest of the squad does not receive the panalty free dc ticket.
  • @Avarice10 said:

I agree, but I'd also add that he shouldn't be able to cancel the stun by attacking and missing, if he has you grappled and misses the attack he should get the stun from the cable breaking.

It's not like you dont get punished in any way if doing so simply because you get attack cooldown and then reload.

You should understand that if you hit and miss you loose possibly an injury on the survivor, or sometimes you just want to deepwound this survivor.

    @TapPineapple said:

Please just increase the time it takes for Deathslinger to ADS. In the current version when Deathsligner has his gun loaded they are able to "quick scope" survivors at any time. This makes it so that in chase at any point where the killer has line of sight of you, they are able to shoot you. Now, If you add a delay to when his gun is ready he starts to have counterplay in chase similar to huntress or demo. This small change would completely change my opinions in going up against Deathslinger. I'm aware he's a fun killer to play, just make him a fun one to play against, please.

Huntress have map pressure thanks to the unlimited range.

Demo has pressure thanks to the portals, while also being 115% killer.

Deathslinger... well... he has only quick chases. Not to mention that: if you are further away than 7 meters, you will be able to avoid his shot with deadhard, while around 10m you can dodge his shot, if you move sideways quickly enough.

Not to mention that deathslinger doesent have any play around most of the safe pallets, while demogorgon can quickly destroy them and huntress throw hatchets througth the pallets.

Before you call any killer op, first try playing them yourself on lower ranks (at least purple) to see how people can outplay you.

  • Legion is widely called underpowered because people are used to playing him as a normal killer, but played correctly he can be devastating in early game.

how about you actually try out some stuff and come back to me in a month, then we shall see.

Or just watch some streamers put in the effort you should go through and copy them of course.

Ive already did in PTB and as i said, there were no significant buffs or fixes for some issues...

  • @BioX said:

its not even been a day man, jeez I really dont wonder what people like you are like in real life....like how do you possibly survive?

Sorry, but he was trash in PTB and he didnt get any significant buffs, which is sad because it could be the funniest killer to play as. He has the ghostface syndrome, which means that until he get some kind of a change he will be trash, but after that he might become one of the better killers.

  • This game is already a grindfest... prestige should be an option, not a mandatory.

Better solution for prestige is giving it additional bp gain on prestiged character or reducing bp prices on the web on prestiged character.

  • No, she is the smallest killer.

Did I miss something... What causal mode did they add

KYF? that's not a causal mode (some players don't have friends to play with)

Let me rephrase that: In ALL competitive games, where some kind of casual mode is present, example: Overwatch, Age Of Empires 2, there is an invisible ranking system, so top lvl players won't be put in the same games as casual players.

  • @Raz_ said:

there are some killer i dont really play that much and wondering which addons are decent for them.

    1.Oni

    2.Blight

    3.Leatherface

4.Billy (i usually run both stering addons)

    5.Demo

    Billy:

Low pro chains that makes you not stop at the pallet, so the cases where survivor drops the pallet to stop you instead of only destroying the pallet you also injure them, nothing bad about this addon.

Red addon that makes your chainsaw quiet outside TR, works perfectly with the Tinkerer.

Speed addons, just dont pair them.

Brown that increases the chainsaw heat cap.

    Demo:

    Shred holding speed (brown addon)

    Trap setting speed (brown addon)

    Travel duration addons

    Leatherface:

There are too many great addons, take something that fits your playstye :D... just avoid speed addons.

But... do you realise that even the casual modes in game have in build ranking system, to create more balanced matches?..

You mean you can either watch out for all possibilities and play without risk or you take the risk that the other player had something and dont waste time to counter it?

And you can fake that you have something, in short its many midngames between killers and survivors

No killer would want to sabotage the game like that. Obviously this won't happen.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPplbqrnH7E

Now imagine this with 1 person gen.

  • They are a good tool of balancing the game by creating high risk high reward, low risk low reward playstyles.

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

Depends on the map. Last time I played hawkins I think I broke upwards of 14 pallets.

Nurse: Pallets? Never heard of them.

  • @aidNbsns said:

This has been a ongoing issue for a while now about survivors in groups. Objectively playing in comms is stronger than playing solo, so how do you balance around this? After countless nights doing math and research and many lost nights of sleep i've conducted a solution.

    • For each survivor in the trail that is in a group decrease Generator repair speed by %75

Note this will only affect those players in the group ( If you are a 2 man, only the 2 stack would have the change affect them, the other players are not changed)

Now thats a simple fix for 2 and 3 man squads, how do you fix a sweaty 4 man bully SWF sweat squad?

    • When playing in a 4 man SWF Generators completed to power exit gates increased to 7 (from 5)

Thank you for reading, if you have any feedback I would be glad to hear!

Get more sleep... reducing gen speed by 75%?

fixing 7 gens out of 7? Killer can just stand in front of one gen

    Huntress has a 40m lullaby...

    Michael is tall as hell...

And Trapper is still B Tier...

And with knowledge of the huntress aura you will be able to avoid her all map snipes.

Being tall doesent make you visible througth all obstacles and with Michael TR aura reading is just terrible for him.

Man... you really don't know how bad OoO is for Trapper then, it makes trapper almost powerless.

To counter hag you go to her early and start pressuring her traps, which also makes OoO amazing counter against hag.

  • @ILoveDemo said:

We need a reason for pepole to Play solo instand of swf soooo what is good enough to bring pepole out of swf?

Easy, just let solo Players see the Killer they go against. Is this unfair? No because one solo Player can't carry his Team. And also Killers can see survivor items so it's only fair I guess.

RiP Trapper... anf Hag... and huntress... and michael... and all the imitations of balance this game has...

  • @BlooperReel said:

Something that I really appreciate about the game is hearing killer noises in the far distance. Hearing the Demogorgon's Shred screech in the distance was at the time, kinda scary and to a (very) minor extent still kinda is. It's glorious. You ended up following it up with another killer equally scary to hear roar in his demon form in the distance. I know it'd be much harder to do on some killers that really don't make loud noises themselves, such as Trapper whose loudest noise is survivors getting trapped but it'd be neat if you could find some loud noise like, idk, laughing, or something that you could hear in the distance.

I really love those sfx and it'd be great to figure something out that gives off that same energy for every killer.

While idea sounds interesting, the problem is that thanks to this sound, survivors will know location of the killer, so it would require a small fix in form of making these sounds map wide without a source, in fact yellow bell addon of wraith does exactly that.

  • No... i already see trolls using it to sandbag their teammates...

  • Or just somehow improve the crows mechanic.

Not quite. Open Handed/Kindred/Bond/Spine Chill. It's surprisingly effective.

Spine chill is NOT an aura perk.

As i said kindred is good for solo que.

Bond is... niche, by itself it's not a bad perk, but not worth taking over things like dead hard, unbreakable or even prove thyself. The only perk that it overthrows is selfcare... and selfcare is an overrated perk.

I have 1.5k hours and my usual build is almost entirely aura perks. They're more useful than you think.

I'm supposed to believe that you run:

Aftercare, Better Together, Deja Vu, wake up?

Bond and empathy are niche perks, but if i had to choose i would go with bond.

Detectives hunch and all perks that show killers aura are the only good aura perks, but still fairly situational.

I don't think you understood what was being said.

I don;t think voice comms should be in the game at all or any of the suggestions I said because it was so obviously dumb plus discord and party chat exists. Also, just because YOU don't play it as a survival horror game doesn't mean that's not what it is categorized and how its intended to be perceived for new players.

Yes because solo que will use 2nd program for voice comms. Adding in game voice chat would reduce the gap between swf and solos.

As i said only new players perceive this as survival horror game, with rare exceptions of course. Not to mention that being survival horror game does not prohibit voice chat and if it would REALLY be a problem for some players, they can always turn it off.

  • @BadBilly said:

Besides the fact voice comms would make every detection perk useless for survivors, DBD was created to be a survival horror game not a tactical mission game. The only way this would be viable is by making it proximity comms and the killer can hear as well or for the killer to be able to detect when someone is speaking with one of those alert bubbles. But then people would just use discord/ party chat anyways.

    Next.

Get at least 100 hours in game, before you will start saying what this game needs and what not.

Like c'mon, who uses aura perks on survivors? Who plays this as a survival horror game?.. Well, except new players with 5h playtime.

  • @Milo said:

Imo Hope (this goes for No one Left Behind too) should just activate after gates are powered and last till you leave. And if 7% is an issue then reduce it to 5%.

It would be an overall nerf. 7% makes it extremally easy to loop and escape the killer and it counters noed well. With only 5% the noed counter will be much weaker.

The real reason why people aren't using hope isn't that perk is bad, it is because adrenaline just gives you a health state... so is so much better, as all second chance perks.

  • I used to love heavy smoker nurse (but after her addon rework you can't play that), but at least there is burger king myers.

  • Each killer can tunnel easily, the only thing about pyramyd head is that he ignores ds but has to go across the map to do so, in the end i don't find this playstyle to be the best on him.

  • @mintchapstick said:

I know a lot of people have said this, but devs please. Give us a totem counter in the HUD. Reasons why:

    • Solo surviving or duo queues are impossible because you never know how many totems are left. If you just miss ONE and don't know it then NOED is going to proc and that sucks butt after spending so much time breaking all of the others.
    • Hex: Undying is coming and it's going to make NOED even harder to counterplay.

Please give us a totem counter!

Hex undying won't really make noed stronger... maybe once per 20 matches at max.

Totem counter would be nice simply because it would make the gap between solo and swf smaller.

  • There isn't even that many russians... you probably recognize and remember their characteristic names, which lead to the belief there is many of them.

Tbh when i play survivor and ruin is up i stopped trying to find it because it a waste of time the killer cant chase 2 people at the same time so if one stay on the gen while the other one is looping the killer ruin is useless.

That's why often it's more important to pressure gens than to chase... and why high mobility killers are the best...

  • @GoshJosh said:

To make this perk more viable, simply boost the numbers:

While in the Dying State [100% of] your recovery progression is converted into wiggle progression when you are picked up by the Killer, up to a maximum of 50/66/75% total wiggle progression.

Fine then. Let's make anti gen perks for killers more viable as well.

Corrupt intervention block 5/6/7 generators at the start of the trial for 240 seconds.

Why is it the bad idea? Because it blocks the main objective of the opposing team.

"But always when using it killer will hook me anyway, not to mention that he has to slug me in advance"

And? That doesen't mean the swf won't exploit the hell out of this perk after your proposed buff. It won't be as bad as infinite sabo, but still...

yes, but i do think the Wraith is killing for pleasure no ? I mean he killed without knowing for his boss for a long time then killed his boss but afte ri think he just got the taste for blood.

Look at the mori animation... there is no pleasure in killing.

The nurse also has a mori that looks like she is mercy killing. She snapped probably because of the mental suffering of people around her and after killing, she hanged herself not being able to withstand.

  • @Adeloo said:

I think that yeah Trapper is the only one that was reluctant about killing survivors for the Entity, the others are killers drive by revenge of bloodthirst.

There is also mercy killing, like the wraith.

  • There were many ideas and there is possibility that iri heads will down survivors that are further than x meters away.

Ps. I hope as well that they won't give her any stupid cooldown.

  • Uhm... it would be a nerf overall... not to mention that no 4 is a direct nerf. Like yeah, he is oppresive in t3 because he needs this oppresivenes to start snowballing later than any normal killer.

The only problem the myers has is that, without the old ruin, you need to get to the t2 much quicker. Even if survivors hit all great skillchecks, the would complete the gens slightly later and what's even more important, it was easier to stalk while being hidden.

Not to mention that spinechill is way more popular than back then, which makes playing myers even harder.

Before any radical changes i would rather suggest to increase his stalking speed in t1 or something like that.

If he still would be too weak at higher tiers i think that giving him an obssesion based passive ability would be nice. After all, with him the obssesion mechanic was introduced.

  • Meh, there is one way more powerful build:

Mettle of Men, No mither, Self Care, Inner Strength

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

people are too greedy against him, from my experience stopping a loop early and staying to the side of the pallet while in range and just reacting is the best you can do. if he enters rites wait at the pallet and try to dodge it or if he gets into stun range stun him since he can't move backwards and if he exits rites just throw the pallet since he can't attack you for around half a second. of course you have to be looping the correct way as not all pallets have both sides where you can be standing in a spot suitable to dodge his ranged attack and there will be cases where you can't dodge as you loop in a certain spot but I've had a lot of success with this.

There is a trick that allows you to instantly m1 while going out of m2.

Well what compromises should it have for greater BP gains, and potentially stupidly high unhook and heal speeds if used with other healing perks?

Maximum healing speed is capped at 200%, no medkits, no perks can increase it further.

Not to mention that in practice it won't be possible to get 10 tokens during the match.

  • @yukairi said:

When you teleport with freddy on a gen can you add the possibility to see witch direction you appear

Decrasing the skill ceiling on any killer or survivor trick is uneccesary and unhealthy for any competitive game.

  • Well, it depends on the map. Each indoor map has multiple trap spots (like near the head of the pig, where survivors are falling from above).

Also, you will need to learn the pattern on which indoors maps are generated to navigate them.

As for every new trapper player i say, you should watch some otz videos on trapper to learn about many good spots.

I know exactly what you mean. You get a good intense match with lots of value and somehow you get scolded at the end despite a base of high BP. It’s like being scolded for making a B on your report card when you’re a kid.

You hit many survivors? You loose points because they were healing.

Survivors know how to do gens? You loose points.

Survivor was looping near the hooked person, while other 2 were doing gens? You loose points for camping and not protecting gens.

You killed all 4 survivors with billy instantly? You will barely blackpip.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 21
