Its small, but something that I noticed while playing her today. At endgame she should be able to use her power near a hook. The only way to use it is if you walk 15 meters or so away but that is risky if you are trying to secure a kill.

I think that should be okay:

You can't down the camped one instantly again, and after the 10 seconds you could have done that with current twins too. That would basically only make it harder for survivors to unhook, that's good after the grab-removal that makes hookdefending super weird.

i want them to lower recall time when a survivor hold victor hostage from 30 second to 12 seconds. that made killer far more playable for me.

That would be pretty good, I feel like it's often not worth it to use victor on a healthy person because of this.

    Hi!

On older hardware (e.g. PS4), my friend is experiencing longer and longer loading times as she accumulates more inventory. Before, she has occasionally experienced crashing when loading the game (as the loading inventory part took too long and PS4 detects a crash). This week, she finally got to the point where DBD no longer launches on her PS4 (she is given the blue screen PS4 error page). This could easily be resolved if there was a way to manage inventory, which players have asked to have for years.

Please please add a way to remove inventory items we don't need. We don't need anything back; even if you must give BP, give 1-10 BP per discarded item, something like that so it won't be abused. The game takes longer to load as we accumulate more inventory, and for those on not as powerful consoles (PS4, Switch, etc.), it is necessary after so many years of the game being live. She effectively cannot play on her account now unless she either buys a newer console or PC, and this is not something within her means right now.

Please update us on this if DBD has any plans for this. Almost every game has a way to delete inventory items except for DBD.

I'd be really interessted to see how this is programmed, because I can't imagine it's the inventory itself but rather the game in general that got more unstable. The inventory should just be a small databank or maybe single variables with numbers, but that shouldn't make it crash no matter how many items there are in.

The fact that the wolf can down you when you're exposed shouldn't be possible, or should be?

It's a normal attack if you just run after the survivor in wolf form and press m1 to attack. It counts as special when you use the pounce on m2.

The instadowning isn't problematic because it's just for normal running, so you're just a slightly faster m1-killer with worse movement but better ability to see.

As a killer, if you are complaining that you didn't get the 4k, think again. You are not entitled to a 4k just as survivors are never guaranteed an escape.

This is still a game and most people are playing to have fun.

As killer you earn the most blood points than anyone in the match, just by playing.

I play both killer and survivers, sometimes I win sometimes I loose the aim of the game is not to give you high blood pressure- it's meant for fun.

As a killer, I play with a personality- I don't tunnel, slug or camp, and if some or all the survivors escape then good or them- the entity will not kill the killer for loosing to survivors.

As a survivor, I prefer to play against killers with a personality: that game is fun that way and if I get sacrificed...I am happy I had a good time doing objectives and being chased.

As it is I always get more blood points as killer than survivors because even if some escape, I still get BP from chasing, hooking, breaking etc but as a survivor if I get Tunnelled without doing a single object what do I get; 7k blood points and I still loose the items I brought into the game.

Please I don't want to read any killer complaints

"Player with personality" is a interessting way of calling people that are intentionally playing worse then they can. Also 90% of the people on any side don't have one then: "wow a survivor trying to sabotage constantly with background player - how original", "wow a survivor flash-lighting/-banging constantly annoying the hell out of me - even more original", "wow someone with ds, otr, dh and windows. Tbagging in the gate and dh out of the match - most ORIGINAL survivor ever". Most people just play to annoy you or win, it's just like that - I won't play easy on you for your fun, ether you win by outplaying me or you will lose, I won't just handicap myself for nothing.

a 4K should be the result of extraordinarily well played matches. Unfortunately they’re not and now too many people expect them as standard. As a result they’re finding ways to make it far too easy and imo that needs addressing.

Your problem is that survivors will lose even more then because we're are balancing that in both ways surely then, aren't we? Most matches have players that make mistakes constantly, problem is that they are worth nothing on maps like: eyries, the game, mothers dwelling, badham and so on - if you'd balance that they actually matter you'll see them lose even more, because killers mistakes are already punished heavely when survivors take the chance actually xD

no one listened to anyone. how can you nerf the only perk that can prolong the chases of Nurse and Blight? the other perks never worked against them. DH is destroyed and forces the survivor to use pharmacies as soon as possible, but they are also nerfed

Did you ever play against old dead hard as pig as excampel? It's feels SO BAD because you can't do anything about it when it's actually used with brain.

There's just no reason to let a perk in the game that is for at least half the killers to strong just to counter 2 killers out of 37 or something xD

  • @Atom7k said:

I might be wrong about this because it has been a while since playing survivor on that map but from my understanding you can get hit while using a portal. You can even get grabbed.
While playing killer today and yesterday (and my ping was pretty good) I was never able to hit survivors in the animiation of the portal. Grabbing wasn't a thing either. So everytime a survivor used a portal I could just stand there and watch because if I attacked I would (on my screen) hit the survivor but it was treated as I wouldve attacked thin air.
Also to be honest I really think that the portals shouldn't be so close to each other that you can create a loop you can run for 30 seconds or more every time you are in the area. It may be becaue of this condition of not being able to hit survivors in the animation but right now that loop is stupidly strong.
The loop I'm talking about is backside main building portal then turn right, downstairs library portal so you are left to the basement and then back to main building. Only as dredge I could shorten that loop effectivly.

I think you can only hit them as long as they didn't make a step into the portal itself. Grabbing only works if you touching the survivor and press m1 without launching, because this is super uncommon it's near impossible xD

I have an idea about having voice chat in Dead by daylight without miss balancing the game. For example if we turn on voice for all survivor they might make it super hard for killers. so what i mean is if we only can speak each other when a killer pick up the survivor for hook. during that duration killer and survivors can interact each other like survivor begging for not hooking in a funny way and killer replying in funny way too in voice while carrying a survivor. these thing will make it much more fun and friendly talks or try hard talks both way be funny moments .so only can talk while carrying a survivor wont affect game balance while we can have fun having banters .🤩

As long as I can deactivate it I don't have a problem with that. I just don't want to hear people screaming at me constantly xD

Maybe instead of DS, make unhooked survivor lose colision for a minute? Until they sit on gen or heal themself, they will be immune to tunnelling for a minute. They can't be tunnelled easily but they can't use it as weapon too.

That sounds more realistic, but we'd have to test it first as well as balance around that then. With the current way of balancing it would probably take to long to get a kill before you lost basically, but that's why I said test it first.

  • @DancewithmeKate said:

Better solution will be nerfing tunnelling. They should make DS basekit after both hook states. And if killer leaves you on ground, time will stop.

Tunnelling should not be free and that's easy.

So infinite bodyblocks? Sure, do you want fullstacked mettle of man as an little extra too? then you can't only delay downs by minutes but by matches lol.

That's absolutely impossible to implement like this or you'd never see a single killer in this game again, especially not people playing without tunneling and camping because they are even more punished by that, than people playing with it xD

I present the still get blinded by a silent flashbang while looking up special. If I would’ve heard it I probably could’ve paused slightly but preemptively looking up and still getting blinded is insane. The perk honestly needs to be kill switched until it’s fixed since it’s clearly still bugged even though bhvr said they fixed it. some people don’t know, but the ones who do are abusing the current state and it makes killer unfun to play.

    https://clips.twitch.tv/PlayfulMuddyPangolinKappaWealth-tzoaAuEjZPUKvPUZ

    I see two options there.

first: you looked slightly down, sometimes that's already enough for you to be able to get blinded.

Second: I don't know where this flashbang was located, if it was on the stairs or slightly on the stairs you could be blinded even while looking up.

However I agree that it's increadible annoying you don't hear them most of the time and they should really fix it.

Like it's just like half the time someone taps themselves thinking they are safe and then it turns out the tunneler was following them the whole time.

It isn't supposed to help you healing yourself completely without losing it, it's just supposed to not make you lose it on tapping/starting to heal. I think that's a good middleground.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

Oh sorry I was agreeing with you regarding endgame, I thought it was so dumb it could be used to guarantee escapes.

I am just unsure while starting a self heal or a heal triggered it, I think finishing a heal should if anything. Gens I understand too.

I'd maybe be okay with a progresslimit, you need 24 charges for the selfheal, so I'd say 8 charges you can heal without losing it and after that it's gone. That would do that if you get interrupted you can finish it, but you can't completely selfheal.

  • @Rokku_Rorru said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3863189#Comment_3863189

sometimes I feel it was a necessary evil to condition killers to go for the unhooker rather than the unhooked.

The endgame was the only issue I had with it honestly.

I don't like that this sounds like I'm a dog lol xD

It's absolutely no discussion that those conditions have to exist because like I said it was just horrible like this. In endgame it has to deactivate because like I already said you can be ages away from the gate and you reach it no problem like this, it was super annoying xD

  • @avvisare78 said:

The anti-camping, i.e. the release bar from the hook, must work even when the generators and gates have been opened. It is not possible for them to be deactivated as well as the decisive blow, if you want to balance the game and reward players who really know how to play as killers, otherwise you would not have had to change the twist, saying to reward players who know how to play. Decisive blow should not cancel while healing yourself or starting to make a generator is a big stupid thing.

Could it be you never saw the old version of ds? Ds in endgame as well as it staying while healing yourself or doing gens were beyond stupidity.

As long as you were downed 60 meter close to the exitgate you were unable to die in endgame with ds against most killers. The ability to heal in front of the killer or do a gen without him being able to do anything about it was pure provocation and is increadible ridiculous to look at.

Also the anti-facecamp-bar deactivates because the killer doesn't have anything to defend anymore except the hooked survivor. You'll most likely won't get anyone anymore in endgame so you just camp and defend the last person, otherwise you trade until one side doesn't have the ability to do something anymore.

That's just a free hit for Houndmaster

That would make totaly sense if the dog would just ignore you as soon as you jump over a window xD

Houndmaster is nothing special, every power can hit you while vaulting. Rangekillers have the advantage that they are able to hit you from far away while vaulting, so you can't just vault mindlessly, nothing special and nothing fancy. While we are at it, houndmaster is actually more forgiving than other powers because you can just vault through the dog while he vaults without getting hit, so I don't know why you say that explizit for houndmaster of all killers xD

You can't honestly tell me Huntress and Deathslinger would be better then Unknown if he was 110%… Like I flat out refuse to believe someone could believe that

Huntress is the absolut best rangekiller if you actually play her a lot. Nothing in terms of rangekillers compare even closely to her (if you of course only look at the pure range-aspect).

She does need a lot of muscle memory, knowledge about hitboxes, prediction as well as adaptabilty to the movement of the survivors, but if you have all that unknown is a joke compared to her. She's simply a lot more lethal with a basically infinite range, she also doesn't suffer a cooldown and she has insane synergy for auraperks.

  • @PhantomAtom96 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3862107#Comment_3862107

Those killers you mentioned still gotta hit you with their power, knight can just throw a ghost at you and most of the times the ghost will get a hit. its stupid.

That's simply wrong, even after his buff to his guards (it you only see them as a way to hit on themself) his power only hits with the duration addon on it feels max-range that also buffs the duration and initial banner-placementspeed. And even with all that he hit maybe 60% of the time if people DON'T collect the banner.

I don't know what you did until now, but most people I play against simply don't get hit without my help xD

  • @PhantomAtom96 said:

Why have you entered for instance a killer as knight with those abilities? I thought the game at it's base is to catch up to survivors and hit them with your mouse1 ability, the knight for instance has a across the map ghost he can spawn that can even damage you a health state? do you not hear and see how overpowered that is?

You have given some killers crazy lunges like, Chucky, The Mastermind and Blight, this is ridicilous.

As i said was not the game to catch up to survivors without crazy powers to help them do that, the wraith for instance is a great killer, he has no crazy 300m lunge and only has invisibility. Base more killers like the wraith, this is no fun now to play as a survivor. #FixTheGame

No I'm sorry but if every killer was an useless skin for trapper/wraith/ghostface (if exposed is not to strong for you LOL) I wouldn't every play as killer. M1-killers are the most boring killers this game has to offer, so I gladly take my m2-killers and enjoy having a power that does something.

I won't even start to discuss now that knight is infact not even close to being op.

    PS:

You said "at base catch up and hit with m1", no was it never at least not since the third killer ever released.

    Hillbilly - m2

    Nurse - m2

    Huntress - m2

And since them there were a lot more killers released based on m2.

  • I also don't like it that much, but who knows. Maybe the killer is interessting, we'll see in the ptb then xD

    Trail of torment

Is no one going to talk about how Michael myers can use tot to make his tier three silent? And don't give me that BS saying well that's what the perk is supposed to do I know that's what it's supposed to do but it completely alters his power he's mostly undetectable until he hits tier three but the perk breaks that and if the gen is almost done he could camp it to make sure no one gets near it and if the survivors don't bite for the bait he could easily leave that gen and you'd never know it (talking from experience in a soloq match) especially in a map like mothers dwelling it's not hard to lose sight of him

    Hex: third seal

Killers Use hts to slug then get big points for it which is supp I know it can be broken but while I'm looking for the hex my teammates are bleeding out on the ground and the match is going south FAST even in a team of 2 or 3 the killer can camp the ones on the ground or go snooping for the bloodtrails and scratch marks hts is overall broken it shouldn't last the whole time until the hex is broken I've had countless matches where I couldn't find the hex all game it definitely needs a timer not a short one maybe a two minute timer I know that might sound short but you have to think how many aura reading perks it knocks out and the fact you can't even see a survivor on the hook you just have to hope to see a glimpse of where the hook is or run around and hope to hear them struggling (again talking from solo experience) the community is so quick to complain about survivors abusing perks resulting in them getting nerfed to hell and back but they don't point out the killers because they think it's "fair" or it's a "good strat" if you notice they've been watering down survivor perks heavily like alert no longer working on undetectable killers right there it takes away the value of that perk if it's a ghostface or a Michael or even just undetectable perks and taking away the starting 3 tokens from distortion now only starting with 1 but can't get no more then 2 I admit distortion was broken to some instinct but why take away 1 token

In which way is trail of torment a problem? He used a perkslot for it and you even see that he has it if you actually look around. This completely ignores the fact that you can hear his breathing from here to the other side of the world.

Besides all this he's already a stealthkiller so of course you should be positioned good and aware of your suroundings. There's nothing problematic here at all.

I would be happy with a gamemode no need to change the whole game i understand why looping exist and that some killers are weak at loops and some are better i play the stealth killers a lot so yea its personal prefrance that it would be more hide and seek like and i never really had problem with survivors hiding in a bush bc most survivors got some ridiculus skins that give zou away in a bush

I don't even have much of a problem of finding people hiding, it's just increadible tedious and boring. I feel like this gamemode would be increadible unpopular among killers and popular among survivor, so the queues will be ages probably xD

  • @LordSkeleton6320 said:

Most games last 4 minutes against good players and there's just nothing you can do about it, there's no point in trying out new Killers when the match is 4 minutes long and they're also supposed to hide from the killers and not run around the killer like a monkey, there's no point playing killers when you get looped this looping shouldn't exist at all i expect a lot of hate from this post but this is how the game looks like i want to fell real terro when i face the killers and not just running around and fixing gens imidieatly

Actually that's what dbd was supposed to be at first: you should hide from the killer as good as possible and fixing gens at the same time, palettes were supposed to be your last way to safe yourself. After a while people found out it's possible to loop killers on palettes and windows and after the devs saw how much fun people had with it, they changed their plan for the game to be chase- rather than hidebased (At least that's how I heard it, I didn't play at this time to confirm it nor did I actually tried to look it up into detail).

Long story short, there's nothing worse than hiding people. I rather have 4 minute games (already an overstatement in 90% of cases) with something to do (trying to get better at chasing) than searching 20 minutes for some people in a bush. I already hate it in endgame and I hate it even more in the early- to midgame, there's a reason I like to play aggressiv killers more than stealth xD

I see Dbd reflected in every single person listed and on this forum. These people will give you the best that they have to offer. Why not match that passion and be the change you want the dbd community to become? Why not? It can happen. They can help you get there.

I wanted to thank @For_The_People for being the first person from the forums that I’ve ever played Dbd with. He is a very sweet person who will give you his time of day in earnest if you need him to. He’s one of the prime examples of politeness in this community. Thank you for being a positive force in the community. 😊😊😊

Lastly I need to thank @solarjin1 . What can I say? When you meet a friend that gets you, you both just know it. Her courage to be funny and humorous is so infectious. She told me that the small pallet in rpd was the most op pallet. I was so naive of game knowledge that I believed her! LMAO! After that I realized that it was anything goes when it came to humor with her. I’m at my best when I can be silly. Solarjin1 is that friend who brings out the best in me. Thank you Solarjin1 for all the laughs and for the laughs to come 😂 I’m going to be collecting🤣🤣🤣

None of this would be possible if we didn’t have a phenomenal community team here to support us discussing this twisted hobby we all have. Thank you again to everyone at Bhvr for putting your hearts and souls (ha!) into everything that is Dbd.

Imagine saying this when each chapter killer have constant power changes, addon changes, perk changes, you are asking way too much from survivors especially from solos like me, killer should be nerfed so they are actually fun to vs with my fellow randoms and that's it! AND CHUCKY IS FINE RN I PLAYED HIM, SO STOP IT HE TAKES MORE EXPERIENCE NOW!

woah changes in a live-action game you have to react to if you want to get anything done, that's so... unexpected. I think you really found something out that no one has ever seen.

No let's be real, the only people that die against that kind of chucky are people that weren't able to play against him before lol. Anyone that knew how to play against him find him funny as hell xD

mending simulator is infinitely better than slugging simulator. at least after you mend you can play the game you paid money for. And i am not attached to my idea, that is why i said "or something", meaning i am open to whatever idea there is to make the game more enjoyable for EVERYONE. I really don't understand this communities aversion to mutual enjoyment and healthy change. "I suffer therefore you must suffer". or ya know, make changes as needed to promote entertainment as well as a healthy community and if a killer is lacking after said changes…give them a buff. You could make victor pounce further or faster. make it so survivors cant hold him hostage. you could add AI to victor so when you're not controlling him he can scout survivors for ya. There are options outside of "slug. tis the only way".

Well then you're one of the people that don't have a too big problem with legion (never understood it, sure you can't do much besides mending but who cares, he can't get you anyways).

    Now to the things proposed:

faster and further pounces don't matter if you can't down, hitting with victor isn't too hard.

Holding hostage is a necessary evil, I'll explain it after the rest.

Ai doesn't work on any killers that have it until now, nemesis zombies, knight slaves and houndmasters dog all bug out once in a while to consistently at one point in the match. Also who cares if you know where they are, would this alone be a good ability doctor would be played more and ranked higher, yet again doesn't matter without the ability to down them.

Now to the explaination I've talked above. They tried to do what you proposed (kinda) by making them more like legion: twins were all of the sudden stronger than nurse in some cases lol. They did it like you said basically, you could injure everyone without hostage holding or the ability of being kicked and you could only down one person per victor (the main difference), the only way you could kick him is if he missed you. The lack of cooldown between injures or the ability of being kicked made him increadible lethal, so much so that it wasn't really possible to do anything at all anymore. While you could change that he can be kicked after a injure that would make him useless, making him able to only down one person and leave the rest like it is would make them to weak.

I'd rather have a killer that is at least playable in some state than one that's another skullmerchant or completely op. Twins power has just too little room between madness and uselessness, it's just increadible hard to make any balance in it. They are just slightly annoying and not too strong at the moment, so that's okay for now.

Making a game that is fun for EVERYONE is objectively a good idea. I challenge you to enjoy survivor, when the only thing you can do is crawl. you can try it out as killer even, if victor gets crushed by a survivor, you are now not allowed to do anythign besideswalk incredibly slowly. set a timer. EVERY single killer has had aspects about them updated and changed to make matches more fun for each player, it isn't the end of the world. And i also said DEBUFF the survivors upon hitting them. make gens hella slow, healing hella slow, etc. there are so many options outside of "bleed out for four minutes".

and i was using legion as an example because they also can injure multiple survivors extremely quickly. like victor. Would you like me to use other killer that also have a mend mechanic as well?

You know what people would say when you change them how you proposed? "Mending simulator, gens take too long, medkits are useless against her, she does too many things at the same time", I'm sorry but ether you'd have to change her completely or get used to it because your idea is simply horrible like this.

Besides that I played against them and I got slugged too but how many twins do you ever see? I saw maybe 3 in the last months lol, no one plays them because they are mostly horrible enough to play, they don't need to be even worse.

  • @bleep275 said:

forcing the survivors to mend and debuff them is useless? already better than the legion like that

So making an interessting killer a slightly better version of legion that is horrible on himself is a good idea for you? Don't we have enough killers that are worthless to play?

The fact that he's not the best killer shouldn't be reason why he shouldn't be nerfed, hit mechanic is bad, you can make Ghostface hit you for 100% only when he's carrying survivor and it's too specific. When he's in chase for other survivor, he can activate his power and instantly down you if you're trying to give protection.

And the problem with that is what exactly? He had to invest his time at some point for that and you're still protecting the other person, you're just down lol. Also michael myers can still do it exactly like this, there's no reason his power should be completely useless in chase.

  • @ClockworkJink said:

Alright. I know it's a waste of time, but I'm still guna say it.

The doctors main ability needs a complete rework.

The problem with the doctor, and yes I played him quite a bit. Is he has TOO much ability.

With one single skill, he can AoE scan the map.

After doing so this adds madness to players they cannot remove. At all. It cannot be countered in any way. This also gives him your location.

He can spam his ability, and max your madness, leave you, and spam the next guy.

Again. You can only remove tier 3. So you're always going to have goofy skill checks. Which are actually way too difficult to land.

Even if I buckle down, and full focus. As a skilled gamer I still miss some of these insane skill checks that bounce around the whole screen, and sometimes go in reverse.

DBD isn't played by people all as skilled as me. 60% of the players are awful. That means they become incapable of playing with the game completely.

The doctors ability makes you see fake doctors.

The doctors ability to makes you see fake pallets.

Again. Uncountered. Best you can do is remember the pallets you used, aaaaaand good luck with that.

This is the BIGGEST issue. He has too many abilities in one skill.

No other killer has anything this over complicated with their skill. It's one effect, and it's counterable in multiple ways.

I know they'll never fix him, but he does need fixed. As it stands anyone who plays doctors IS unbeatable. IS. Not can be. Not hard to beat. Unbeatable. Those skills are rigged.

I play him, you literally can't lie to me. It's over the top.

Your post made me laugh quite a bit, I just can't take this seriously.

Snap out of it is hardly a timewaste because of the time you had to use to bring the survivor to tier 3, also it's the same like shooting someone with deathslinger breaking the chain and then leave, it's just for hit'n run.

Sure he can find you in quite a huge radius but who cares as long as he can't get you, he's still a normal m1-killer with a increadible inefficient anti-loop power lol.

His skillchecks are a joke too for 90% of the time, the only time it matters is if the skillcheck requires you to press almost instantly and it teleports to a super random position but even then it's not too hard to hit them.

You already said the counter to his fakepalettes, just remember which ones are already used and in comprehension to freddy's they at least disappear instantly so they are even weaker lol.

The fakedoctors are no threat at all, you have to be joking to even say something about them. The only thing they do yet again is showing doctor where you are, and yet again it doesn't matters anyway xD

PS: calling yourself a skilled gamer (which is weird on itself) and then saying doctors skillchecks are too hard is just the funniest thing I've ever red on this plattform xD

99% stalked Ghostface is just awful gameplay, it needs a change.

Why because if I was exposed idd react diffrent, but if im 0.3 sec from and I dont know how screwed I am I dont.

And that's perfectly in character with ghostface and his existance as a stealthkiller. His point is not for you to know that you'll die, his point is that he lingers near you somewhere without being seen until he stalked you and then he attacks.

  • @JustElf said:

I believe that Ghost Face's ability is unbalanced and frustrating because it is easy to abuse. When you play as a Survivor and reveal Ghost Face, you do not reduce the progress he has already accumulated on you, so you can often be "99% stalked." This means that the next time he activates his ability, you are already instadownable, regardless of whether you revealed him or not.

    There are two possible solutions:

    1. Survivors should be rewarded for revealing Ghost Face. My idea is that Ghost Face would lose 100% of the stalking progress on the Survivor who revealed him. Alternatively, there could be an add-on that causes Ghost Face to lose only 50% of the progress when revealed.
    2. Adjust his mechanic to make him lose progress over time, similar to The Trickster. I believe it should take much longer to lose progress, for example, 1 second = -1.2% progress. Additionally, there could be an add-on to reduce the decay rate, such as 1 second = -1%.

Why would you make him worse than he is? He's already not the best killer but that would make him basically useless. Also you already loose all the progress by being hit normally, so there's no reason to destroy him on a level that his power is basically unplayable.

  • @Boons123 said:

Over the past 3 months: All the killers I've played against have had the exact same strategy Sulg the 3rd survivor to looking for 4th survivor, Some killers were not satisfied with 3 and a half minutes, they went as far as carrying the survivor who was 5 seconds away from death and Hooking the survivor to milk more time.

Literally not a single match did the killer not use this strategy.

Before the addition of the Survivor Bot this extremely greedy strategy did not exist because the Survivor could simply DC to give the last Survivor the hatch.

As usual we see the same greedy argument that the survivor shouldn't get the hatch, without the hatch the tunnel and proxy camping become stronger than before and also how do you expect the last survivor to fix generators and escape the chase? The survivor was not designed to be self-sufficient.

I don't know what's the fun in wasting 4 minutes of my time on something that's not fun and not interactive, just greed for 4k as if there's a reward that 3k doesn't provide, just kill the third survivor and let this player continue the game instead of using the player as a timer.

If you can't kill the fourth survivor, it's not the end of the world, your device screen won't explode, the game won't consider you a loser. On the contrary, killing 3 survivors is considered a win, and the survivor escaping through the hatch is not considered a win for the survivor or a loss, it will be considered a draw for the survivor.

I mean everyone is different and maybe you just got killers that want to get 4k's as often as possible. I personally don't do it most of the time because it's exhausting and very time consuming, but sometimes on people that annoyed me or swfs I also slug for the 4k.

Writing this post because I really love dbd especially ranged killers like artist, huntress and unknown. Unfortunately the artist map brightness in contrast with trying to see auras or focusing for ranged attacks gives me a headache usually by the end of the round.

It really is unplayable for me if I wanna enjoy a good ol' dbd session and I'm not sure what to do. I don't like leaving or giving up but I don't want a headache. Idk why it triggers me :( I've tried lowering my brightness on monitor or using a filter that lowers it but it doesn't help.

Yes sniping on eyrie is very hurtful for my eyes as well, I think the brightness with the heatwave effect makes it so bad xD

did you look at old dbd before?

The removal of staggering at part created godloops with balanced landing. The absence of a mid vault also made godloops possible before even tho that was the map design for a huge part, it would be ridiculous to fast-vault the shackwindow from the side.

Why dont the bots go for last second saves and sacrifice themselves for their teammate? The survivors are the ones disadvantaged when someone dc's (usually) but the bots are still bad.... Please at least give the bots pair of balls so they go for saves when getting camped. Especially when the bot has no hook states. Thx 😅😅😭🙏🙏🙏

Believe it or not, but they are already bolder than they were before, they actually go for a save sometimes when someone gets camped. Before they change it they didn't even go into the terroradius and just hovered at the edge xD

  • @bleep275 said:

With the release of the new chapter came taurie cain with a fairly decent anti tunnel perk to help trade hook states.

I have had three different killers today who openly admitted to targeting me and tunneling me specifically because of that perk. The thing is…I wasn't even running it.

what are your thoughts on this?

    Is this considered griefing?

Of course that's no griefing: I also prefer to target bad people, am I now griefing the poor dwight with 30 hours? Nope I'm not, I'm just killing the easiest person first. (This is also just an excampel and in no way meant as an offence against you or people with little hours or anything else)

(For the record, I think of griefing as the act to intentionally harm another persons property or feelings without any reason. I don't know the definition of bhvr on that subject while awnsering this post)

Earlier you launched the Wereelk/Inhumane Brute skin for the Huntress. Back then it was quite a bit more silent that the non-outfit skins, causing it to be stronger than other Huntresses do to lack of Soundcues. Back then I thought it was kust an unfortunate coincidence, tho I was annoyed that it took over a week to fix. Though the Wereelk skin could also be bought with shards.

AND NOW YOU DID IT AGAIN. EXCEPT ITS WORSE. You added a skin that makes the Character wearing it completely silent (not saying which one cause I dont want people abusing it). And by completely silent I mean completely silent. Literally no sounds. 100% reduction on all noises. You can literally use Scene Partner without screaming, but still with the aura reveal. In addition to that, the skin and the character its used on can only be bought with Auric Cells aka real money. And you haven't fixed it or even just killswitched it, like you did with the Knight (a character you can obtain without paying real money) last year for being glitched. But this is completely game breaking. Scene Partner without downside, Spirit has no chance of finding you, basekit Iron Will, and Quick and Quiet, and Calm Spirit, just better and without the downsides.

A game doesn't go 8 years without anything like that happening and then has that happen twice in a year. And if it happens you do something about it. From the looks on it this will just stay in the games for the entire holiday season and you will afterwards claim it was a bug and fix it. But you can't fool us. You saw how well Inhumane Brute sold and thought, "Hey lets do it again, but this time only for people who help us make a profit from it".

I swear if this happens again I'll buying AC. I don't care how many cool licences you pull, if you keep being unfair like that its not worth it.

Did you ever think about the idea that they could just have changed something about their way how they are programming skins? They upgraded their skins in terms of uniqueness quite a bit the last 1-2 years, because of that they are surely trying a lot of things out regarding the way to program that, so I'm not surprised in the slightest it's only happening now. If you really think of the fact that those better made skins only exist 1-2 years now and they probably try a lot of things with them, and still only 2 skins were that bugged, they actually more likely have my respect.

  • @Oputeeva said:

Nope it's fine, he is already small, have 3rd person view that can be a great advantage in some loops, with more speed he can hit from miles especially with a bad ping, so please don't change it

He's also 4,4 lol, his height is absolutely no reasoning because wolf is the same basically. Also they did nerf him 3 times with one update, 2 cooldown and 1 speed, they have to revert at least the cooldown starting after the dash and the speed.

This poor boy already got his scamper taken away, his dash-scamper is almost nonexistent because you run to the side and you're magically unreachable, his stealth was never good because he laughs as soon as he gets close. Now they nerf his dash 3 times in one patch, they took around 50% of his power and the only thing he still have gets worse every 3 patches it feels like xD

This event has been live a matter of hours and people on both sides are playing like sweaty tournament players. These are for BP and cosmetic farming and it's supposed to be a fun little "break" from the normal aspect of play. I played as a survivor twice and the killers were looking to wipe the game out in 5 minutes of less and no one was able to do any event level anything. I played as a killer once and the survivors all flashlight/blast mine/flash bang spammed me the entire time while at other times were gen-rushing. Good grief, wipe the sweat off and effing relax.

I don't really know what you mean with relax, except some weird stealth-plays and annoying people by throwing snowballs at them while chasing there isn't much of a difference. It's almost the same like the normal mode so of course I also play like I normally do xD

Well I played constantly with 6k when I played blight a lot, but then I started with huntress and deathslinger and now I'm normally on 2,4k on most killers and on specific ones on 5k. Maybe I just try her with 5k and I'll see if I hit better like this xD

This reply literally made me laugh.

The game is so incredibly killer sided at low MMR and there is no way you should need to camp or tunnel to get consistent wins.

By camping and tunneling you're raising your MMR and making it less likely you'll ever be able to win without those strategies or even with them against good players.

All it does us make you think you're better at the game than you actually are because a toddler with some guidance could tunnel out low MMR survivors.

It's literally the worst thing a player can do for their overall development. Players need to be focusing on the macro game early on, the micro game in the middle, and then when you face sweaty 4 man swfs camp and tunnel to your hearts content because it's not a skill you need to learn, it's just a style anyone can play.

Edit: Also playing 95% killer is probably why you struggled so much early. You need to play both sides to actually improve as much as possible.

I started at a time without mmr, with old dh, 5 second ds, where you still needed bt as a perk and with old haddonfield. It was a different time there anyways and I don't even want to imagine how horrible it was to start before that xD

I agree that it's easier now and it's not as needed anymore, but it's just not worth it to handycap yourself for no reason. It's just a false pride that will only hurt you in the end because you straight up ignore an entire tool you have. It's also really weird you asume I'd want to play without it against good players because that's straight up masochistic lol.

Besides that you pretend like raising your mmr and playing against a lot better people is something bad, I'm pretty sure I'd never have learned to play like this if I had played against people with equal hours. It's a lot better to just learn to play with good tunneling and camping and learn to use your power while doing it, people that are a lot better will most likely win even if you use those tactics but the more you play the more you'll see that you can down them at a okay speed and win, from there you'll get better and better.

Well I agree on the thing with both sides, but I really don't like seeing random people lose because of me, so I'd never have played survivor at that time. By now I'm relatively okay as survivor because I know how I and other killers play against me as a survivor.

Also I'm able to play against people double my hours and sometimes even triple my hours, so I wouldn't say it hurt me by a lot xD

  • @AlexXHunter44 said:

I play about 50/50 each side.

What I will say, if you decide to camp and tunnel you're only hurting your own progress as a killer.

I don't care if people use the tactics because they are easily countered with basic strategy and are fair game to use, but I usually feel bad the killer will never really improve their game sense and probably get pushed around by better squads as their MMR rises.

Both strats do become more useful against better survivors but only if you actually understand maps, gen pressure and chases.

Actually no, I'm playing killer 95% of the time and I played 100% without camping and tunneling at the start. The only thing it realistically did was making my games last a lot shorter and making me frustrated because I don't use any "unfair" tactics and the only thing that happened is that I got tbagged a lot by people with ds, ub and dh. I was so often hit by ds even more than after I started tunneling funny enough and it really wasn't fun to get "outplayed" by dh at that time.

Well in the end I'd always tell any beginner to use tunneling to kill someone as soon as possible while still trying to always chase anyone no matter if it's the tunnelout. Of course they shouldn't rely on it as a only resort and camping is dead anyways for the most part with grabs taken away, time per state increased to 70 seconds and anti-facecamp meter being in place.
