    title

that wouldn't make sense that's a way too huge span:

40-45 ms is easily possible without cable so you already have a lot people with a ping there that shouldn't be punished. Not even talking about the fact 20-24 ms is also very possible as well as 8-12 ms in some cases.

The rest of the people also shouldn't be punished, it would be better if bhvr makes the game less ping reliant and synchronizes it better. There's no reason for such weak "fixes" xD

  • @Lixadonna said:

    Deincentivize Huntress.

why would that fix something? Huntress is still one of the most fun for most people and for me specific even the most fun, so of course most people would still play her xD

There's just not a lot of competition for her xD

  • @frozzenk said:

Why is every killer subject to balance changes, nerfs, buffs, etc. and then they allow Nurse to live completely outside of this reality? It's like she is in her own game or something, separate from everyone else.

She is absolutely ridiculously overpowered, there is NOTHING you can do to counter her, and nobody seems to care. Nobody asks for nerfs. The devs don't bother. It's like a criminal who everyone knows is robbing people but the police turn a blind eye.

    WHY?!

Did you forget that every single m1-perk doesn't work on her? That was a nerf that she didn't even receive that long ago, also her blink distance addons don't exist anymore aswell as her recharge addons.

Saying she never gets nerfed is just lying to yourself, she's still really strong but long not as strong as she was xD

Seriously he one of the strongest and most insufferable killer to go againt. Seriously why he have so much broken stuff that make playing agains him almost impossible. For example:

    1. Why he has speed increase while cloaked?
    2. Why he has speed boost after uncloaked it makes mostly loops useless against him ( there is many times why il already vaulting but he is still get me cause stupid speed boost?
    3. Why flashlight dont stun him anymore while cloaked (literally it was only counterplay against hes busted power)?
    4. Why he has so insanely good addons that make him not just annoying but impossible to go against (fast breaking while cloaked, silent bell, gen aure, faster uncloaking and etc.)?
    5. And finally why he can bodyblock while cloaked its double unfair cause of his insane speed?

So to fix this broken mess he should be nerfed very heavily. Cause its not okay why so easy to play killer being that powerful that only comp SWF can do something against him. So here is fix suggestion

    1. Remove speed bonus while cloaked (He is already 4.6m killer and gain undetectable, more speed is unessary and broken)
    2. Remove speed boost after he is uncloaked (I think hes need to be slowdown after uncloaked like 8% hindered for 3 sec)
    3. Return lightburn mechanic
    4. Rework his addons to get Freddy/Pyramid Head treatment
    5. Make him lose colision while cloaked

In which world is wraith op? He's still a normal m1 killer and therefore easy to play around, if he gets to bodyblock you then you were probably in a bad position to leave or too far away from the start and even then you can try to bait him to leave his route to block you with quick turns and spins.

The boost after uncloaking doesn't make loops useless they just make them actually 50/50 and not impossible lol.

The stuns with flashlight were just unnecessary, he was one of the only killers that are outplayed by pure luck because you ether bring a flashlight at random or find it in a chest. He didn't even have a power that's worth having a countered by items like nurse or hag (even there was it really questionable so I'm quite happy that they removed that) xD

Wow, 9 straight games with a Huntress in 2v8. So thrilling

I'm sorry to tell you but it's just the most fun for me to play her.

I tried deathslinger and blight: I don't have a problem with blight, I can get 12 hooks alone no issue, but I don't like to play him that much since the rework.

Deathslinger is also good, but I don't like the fact the chain breaks so easy and he almost doesn't have any preassure.

Spirit I didn't even try because I don't want to play her and billy is fun but huntress is more fun xD

And no, I don't say about high ping, lags and etc. Every event in DBD (Halloween, 2 vs. 8 and more), I see one thing that on event time survivor matchmaking is faster than killer matchmaking. The lowest time in queue as a survivor was 30 seconds, and for killer more than 4 minutes (it can be longer, lol). And when a match is found, 3 of 5 games are not started because of the DC of some player, and that is not happening because some feng min sweaty man saw killer and left because of the server trouble (I experienced it by myself playing a surv). When there are no events the matchmaking is normal. It cant be bad internet because i have very powerful 5g internet. Maybe i dont know something and so on, but its very disgusting that in both game modes a cant play normally for about 2 weeks only because im killer main.

It's not your internet, it's just the fact there aren't enough people to fill your lobby. There are a lot more killers than survivors: so you're instantly joining a lobby as survivor because there are a lot of killers searching, but you don't have enough survivors as killer to fill your lobby instantly, so you have to wait for games to end - that's why you have to wait between 5-15 minutes because that's the range how long a game can take

What do you think the huntress pick rate is for 2v8? i feel like shes 80% of my matches

I did and I still like to play huntress the most in 2vs8, it's just fun to have 8 people to snipe on a huge map xD

I think it's more the Guide class it's kinda insane for gen rush the comeback mechanic does add to it but i think they should nerf guide class first and look at the CBM after test the nerf

Yes of course, Idk if it's the mechanic alone so testing it first would be worth it.

  • @CountOfTheFog said:

My matches have all been lopsided one way or the other. Either the Killers start downing instantly and everyone is dead very early, or the generators fly and the killers are lucky to get one or two kills.

Pretty much yes: sometimes you can even start to down very early and get people super consistently and fast and you will still lose as long as you hook because of the speed bonus, it's horrible. It just makes more sense to slug people for as long as possible if you don't want to get rushed xD

  • @moon_shine1st said:

Every game that I had joined has had a literal Blight in the trial.

All he does is run around getting people, especially with how they can see us now,

He has a bug where his terror radius falls behind when he run, and then when he’s next to you you can finally hear your heart beating.
idk why the decided to have a fast paced character in the trial. Makes it much more less fun, bring back the original 2v8 this is garbage.

To be honest: blight is probably insane in this mode but only in the right hands. Like @Adam_Francis_Main already said I imagine most people to not be able to play him very good based on the fact mmr is not enabled how it seems.

I personally can play him okay and get at least 8 hooks or often more like 12 or higher but I'm still more consistent with huntress. I tried every new killer except spirit but I'm still stuck on huntress because she just feels best for me and is really strong with her crossmaps and general ability to down people in seconds.

yall changed it you cant save out of lockers, right? survivors can do that exact thing, but with flashbangs. this is a huge oversight. While at it please make it so survivors cannot clip into your body while using the item.

Both is there for months at this point, I even think flashbangs always worked for locker saves since the system exists. I don't see a lot of locker saves but impossible saves basically every time I play at least one match, it's super annoying especially if they spam flashbangs maybe even with an eyrie offering xD

I Just noticed last match my BOON totem of healing has been nerfed so badly it's a flopping gag perk now.

It doesn't stack with med kits? It disables them.

OH I'M SORRY! Does chuckies perk disable if a killer has BBQ, and chillie? Does any killer perk, OR addon disable with a perk? Tf no it doesn't! (Anther rant for later killer vision needs capped at 4 Seconds, not 8-10).

You have to run around a map, and find REALLY hard to locate totems JUST to enchant the boon, to use it both players have to WILLINGLY go to the boon, and yet you can't even heal YOURSELF with it, let alone use a medkit.

Yet killers can stack ANTI HEAL out the A.

This is UNREASONABLE. Reverse the nerfs, give back the totems TRUE function. Make it heal EVERYONE regardless of circumstances.

It is COMPLETELY the killers job to make sure a survivor doesn't escape a chase long enough to heal. It's inexcusable to permanently punish survivors because the ALREADY OVER POWERED killers can't do their job.

Before anyone says I'm a survivor main, I'm a rank 10 bloody ghostface, and I am not even perked up. I decimate bully squads, and he has NO special tricks to end a chase faster. (Yes I've tried the new killers, they're absolutely disgustingly over kitted, and there isn't even a word for HOW over kitted they are, it's insane).

There's ZERO excuse to ruin the totem this badly.

The problem is the old version made injures completely worthless and you should know that with your increadible "rank 10" ghostface (doesn't say anything btw, you always reach rank 1 sooner or later, so if you're still at 10 you ether played it feels like 3 matches or lost a lot more than you won), ghostface is a killer that lives from his instadown to a huge chunk but he also needs passive preassure by injured people to be as effective as possible. Besides that the main problem wasn't only the speed but also that only one person had to bring it, it was basically 3 times selfcare for free without a huge downside especially because totems still don't get destroyed basekit and you just have to rebless them, not even talking about totems at second story that you won't even stomp if you want preassure xD

Well in the end you see the function of coh at the moment wrong, it's meant as a place to heal for the team that's why you see people in range. It's meant that you go into the radius and get revealed for others survivors, then they have the chance to come to you and heal you quicker. With soloq that works a lot worse but that could maybe be fixed by revealing the aura of people looking at coh so you can see if someone comes to you.

There isn't, everyone insulting you because you're in your 30s (does this even make sense? In germany your 30s would be 30-39 and not 20-29 xD) is probably too young to even play this game lol xD

I like games that come down to the wire. In my opinion those are the best kinds of games. Not knowing who’s going to win.
but recently when I play killer I win within the first few minutes. And it’s not really enjoyable. Yes I like winning but it’s not fun when the survivors just stand still and wait for me to kill them.
I’m serious when I say they just stand still and don’t do anything. I like the chase. I like being chased and I like chasing survivors. It helps me when I play survivor to know what to do around loops.
but like I said before every game is just a 4k win without any resistance from the survivors.
should I even be complaining? I don’t know weather to be happy or frustrated. It’s just getting old now, and it’s not fun really.

Well Idk, it's better than people throwing you on eyries or garden of joy constantly. It's miserable to play on those maps, that I don't even care anymore if I lose xD

Preturning (like flicks in general) is kinda unheard of on controller even at max sensitivity. The issues are the dead zones in the sticks as well as input delay. Just imagine a third of a second to half a second delay on everything you do. If it needs snappy quick movement to be done it ain't being done basically, you need to sorta break momentum to start moving or turning it needs to ramp up first.

It's why ranged killers are much harder to run, and the reason so many cannot be played anywhere near their full potential with a controller. It's also why perks like Boil Over can crawl into a bush somewhere and die please. 😂🤣

    le-1231-z-pro-sq-arcit18.jpg

Here, it's just made very quick and I'm increadible bad at drawing but that's what I do and probably relatively okay to do on controller (of course that only counts for loops and does require people camping palettes and not reacting very well).

The red lines are the doors, the white box is the loop itself, the yellow line is the palette and the light blue is the survivor. The dark blue dot is you and the pink is the direction you're looking at that point, the green arrow is the direction you're moving and the red arrow is the direction and place you're attacking in. You're looking slightly into the loop at the start while holding movement left so you're moving backwards, then while rounding the corner you start to turn so you're looking in front while still holding meovement left, after you're completely around you could move like the drawing and let go of left for a moment and only start preturning and holding left again shortly before the second corner to position yourself OR you run sideways constantly at that point by just looking into the loop again while holding left, the only thing left to do is to let go of the dash as soon as you round the second corner and hit the survivor (your natural turnlimit should position you near perfect, you'd look slightly to the left instead of perfectly 90°, but that's the slight disatvantage of using moondashes).

That's btw the room with the statue at the top of rpd near the helicopter, the one next to the stairs with the drop.

Hope it helps slightly to understand my point and maybe to play him a little bit better. Of course that doesn't fix free-area flicks xD

(I'm sorry if it's hard to understand: I'm german, it's early and I'm standing in a train at the door at the moment, so I can't really concentrate xD)

  • Preturning and timing, he isn't exactly blight regarding to the flicks (if you can call it like this on controller). However I agree that's harder xD

  • @jamally093 said:

He was good when he first released but now he feels not bad but like near it. Overall Slice and Dice just gives little to no proper control after that first second you lose all control or barely can shift around so survivors can just move out of the way plus the speed your going at also doesn't give you much. I know it's similar to Hillbilly with that first few seconds of control and done but Hillbilly also has add-ons to help with movement and turning. Also Running shoes the add-on was good when Scamper was it's own separate thing but now it doesn't make sense to me.

It's near impossible to miss with chucky after some practice, what do you want more?

not only are you able to do 90° flicks behind cover, you can also move backwards on loops and do a 90° flick then, that as combination allows you to almost always hit the survivors xD

SoloQ has a point in the argument as its the 95% side of survivors in games. If that 95% is gone its all SWF teams on 30 minute - hour queues till killers get nuked so people play survivor again. But Fthat is a newly made troll account so don't take their words for anything.

I mean yeah they are a lot, but solo-queue doesn't have a specific point in this argument, it's more like all survivors or just people that hide a lot, it's not a problem only for solo-queue as a group.

  • @Fthat said:

Why not just show the survivors auras the whole game. This game is unplayable as a solo survivor now with all the exposure perks. No more money will be wasted until it is balanced back out. You rarely have a chance to save anyone so everyone just hides and waits to be last or worst -stops playing. Cashless cow. Moooooo

I've always wondered what solo-queue has even to do with that problem, it's not like it would be better to have your aura shown as a swf. Also I don't understand why you're even so increadible focused on auras all of the sudden, you can see it on doctor since years: it doesn't matter if you know where players are as long as you can't get them, so just get as good in chase as possible and you don't have a problem with your aura shown xD

So let me see what aura perks could activate while you're on your way to save... darkness revealed if you're unlucky, human greed if you're unlucky, rancor with a bit of prediction from the killer (not even aura lol), bitter murmur if you're unlucky... that was everything I found in idk, 3 minutes or something going through all aura perks . Nothing stops you from going to save, if I want to favor you I could say scourge hook: floods of rage is a milde danger after unhooking but that doesn't even matter if you're not healing under hook and don't have a highspeed killer (in which case it almost wouldn't have mattered at all if he had it).

People just hiding and letting people stay on hook is not because of auras it's just because they are simply not good players, selfish and not the brightest (because it decimates your chance of winning to basically 0 by default). I've seen increadible people in solo-queue against me as huntress with lethal, iron maiden, floods of rage and bbq and even glowing concoction, they still saved everyone with no issues (while these perks don't activate while they are going to save, it's still functional as excampel because you don't even differentiat between the perks and how they activate). I just wonder how they did that if it is so hard to save with "all" those perks stopping you from saving, it's not even like it would be my 3k-8k survivors I play against, even people with a few hundred hours or even less (often) can do it no issue.

I'm so sick of being trapped in trials where the result was decided within 2 or 3 minutes, but I have to play it out for 10+ minutes despite having no win condition as a survivor.

I'm tired of being trapped in a 3v1 with 4 remaining gens. What is the point of dragging that game out for 10 minutes? It's over. There's no comeback mechanism for the survivors. You have to do more gen charges per survivor in a 3v1, gen regression values stay the same, and the gens require the same amount of charges as they do in a 4v1. The. Game. Is. Over.

I personally see zero value in having to play out an unwinnable game to maybe get hatch. Not after 6 years and thousands of hours. Players shouldn't be expected to donate time to an unwinnable game. Either give survivors a reasonable comeback mechanism in a 3v1, or end those trials quickly.

I cannot fathom a reason to make players sit through a 3v1 with 3+ gens remaining where a killer still has stacks of Pain Res+Grim Embrace+whatever. What is the value proposition? "Hey, if you just wait and do nothing for 10 minutes without getting found, you have a 50/50 chance of getting hatch." What are we doing? I don't even want to be in those games as killer. I just want the games to end. I've 4k'd, but I have to wait 10 minutes until the result is official.

Alright so if I lose as killer I end the match, if you as survivor lose you end the match... so when are we going to play?

Someone has to lose and you don't get good teammates all the time just as I won't get downs perfectly all the time. It's just a really bad concept to make giving up easier because no one will ever get better at this game then, you just don't have a reason you just have to give up 15 times until you have survivor or a killer to bully... oh yes I forgot you can't even do that because the other side just gives up lol xD

Who are the most tragic Killers and Survivors? Which stories resonate with you? Do any Killers earn your sympathy?

Meg’s story is really sad, I think that much is obvious. There are so many others but I have to give an honorable mention to Gabriel. His origins are just awful.

The Killers’ stories are really sorrowful too. The Spirit’s story is really really heartbreaking. Then there’s the Hillbilly and how horrible he was treated growing up. All of it so tragic.

Which stories stand out to you as particularly depressing?

I feel like artists story is really brutal too, the entity took away her brother, gave her new hope and instantly took it away again by taking her hands, tongue and friends again. At least if interpret everything happening as a way of the entity to make her kill what the crows imply I think.

  • @Donkeybqlls said:

I'm a survivor-main, only raison I'm not a survivor-only is the rewards and tomes. Am I being a spoiled brat to think it's "sad" being forced into a role I just really don't like? Or do some survs/killers feel the same way?

You can play the entire tome ignoring every single killer-challenges if you don't want to do them, of course that's only if you don't want the story pieces. Outside of the story you don't have to do the killer-challenges because you have way, way too much time for the tome, you can do it easily with normal ep.

The only exception are event cosmetics, you have to do them for the killer-cosmetics and for the currency of the event to buy the other cosmetics sometimes.

  • @Laendra said:

Why are the event killers so sweaty? It's supposed to be a fun event, but a very large majority of them play like it is a regular match and their lives depend on getting a 4k, rather than everyone having fun. You can still get a 4k and make the match fun. You don't have to slug the 3rd to get the 4th. Have better faith in your skills to hunt and find that last survivor. So what if they get the hatch? If they do, then they were better at the hatch game than you were. The numbers of killers with 2-3 location perks in this event is just ridiculous, or the 4 hex perks with pentimento (most of you can't even use that perk effectively mind you, or load it up with devour hope).

I play survivor about 50% of the time. I have seen this in nearly 95+% of my matches. When I go play killer, and have survivors using windows clients, I always get comments on how fun the game was and profusely thanking me for not being a sweaty killer during the event.

Bottom line, just because you can be a jerk, doesn't mean you have to be. You can still be a 4k killer, but you don't have to be a jerk about it.

Pretty easy: because everyone in this event plays sweaty.

You'll get regulary send to some horrible map with 2-3 brand new parts, 2-3 syringes or 2-3 flashlights and most of the time with the spam of gen perks, seconds chance perks, flashbangs or god knows what. I've even seen survivors try to save someone with a smokebomb and it was a horrible try, of course I got the hook because it was legit 7 meters away xD

"Better at hatch game" you mean... randomly finding the hatch first? Yeah no, sure, I'm sorry that I forgot, of course winning rng is a skill lol. I don't even slug for hatch most of the time, but I completely understand why you'd do it, it's just a really weird mechanic to lose to nothing xD

What is your (regarded to a lot of people, not just you) problem with aura perks at the moment? I thought 4 regression perks were so bad to go against, now they play builds that let them engage in chases constantly already and it's still wrong xD

Well pentimento builds with 4 hexes are most likely just having fun, at least I wouldn't ever call it a serious build to play xD

I’ve seen a clip where if two huntress hatchets hit each other, they bug out: lose all movement, and stay spinning in place (indefinitely?) where they collided with one another. Still have damage checks on survivors too.

Maybe this can happen with The Unknowns Projectiles too?

How would this even work, you have a cooldown of I think 8 seconds between them? I don't think that's possible at all xD

Definitely a higher cooldown for bat form and maybe a time limit on bat form so you can’t just stay as a bat looking for hatch or patrol doors so easily. Maybe lower the movement speed on it without a time limit? Just trying to think of way to balance it.

As long as the cooldown after the limit is not 20 seconds it would be fine I think? But the problem is more the chase-aspect of it than the general movement, that's why I said only the bad needs a higher cooldown after switching to bad.

I think a slight nerf to the movement speed wouldn't hurt him too much, so that would also be an option ^^

Nothing else says pay to win like having a power to catch up to a survivor 2 seconds later after hitting them.

With slow down / time wasters that constantly make them run around unlocking chests.

With extremely large grab hit boxes that makes missing survivors actually hard to do with the attack.

I played him about 3 times and decimated survivors, then never picked him up again it was no challenge what so ever.

And sometimes you throw them into a wall and you are still able to move so you can down them 2 seconds later if they are in a bad spot too!

Hope BHVR enjoys ruining the balance of the game just to rack in all those dollars.

"Pay2win" sounds like you have generally one game that gets a lot easier or even possible with the thing you're buying, now's the thing:

Dbd is NOT one game. You play a entirely different game as pig than with huntress as example. As pig you're trying to sneak onto survivor and slow the game down with the use of traps, with huntress you're playing a game where you're trying to hit survivors with hatches as a sort of "shooter" or "trickshot game". Buying wesker doesn't help you to kill survivors by a lot because only his perks are usable by everyone and they aren't that good, the only thing buying wesker allows you to do is to play wesker himself and therefore even play this content.

Of course that's only my opinion but that's by far not what I call "pay2win" xD

  • As killer it's okay for me at the moment in normal mode, but I guess that depends on server, time and person ^^

Why are you trying to kill the messenger?

Even if you don't like their answer, that's how things are here in DBD. None of the things you listed are bannable offenses for BHVR. Your reports are only clogging up the support line, maybe they even get removed automatically by some keyword algorithm.

Here is a link to their support page:

    https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408586353940-Invalid-report-reasons

    Regarding PSN messages:
"We do not control anything that happens outside of Dead by Daylight. This includes private Steam messages/groups/names, PS4/XBOX messages, Discord messages, Twitch/social media interactions, etc. Anything that occurs on these platforms must be reported to their respective authorities."

Sad truth is, you either deal with it or you move on, your choice. Have a nice day!

Well I was expecting an awnser like that, not everyone accepts the things how they are at the moment. Thank you for saying something to that even tho it won't make a difference probably xD

In my opinion for Dark Lord, to be more balanced, I feel as though switching between wolf/bat/dark lord form, there should be a cooldown. Thoughts?

Stop trying to excuse and justify the actions of these people. You think I don't have a mile long list of people I've gotten banned on psn? I get messages for every person I report telling me action has been taken. I WISH I could say the same for this game.

I don't say people sending death threats are okay, I'm also not thinking people hupping you are okay.

I'm however completely okay with tunneling, camping, slugging and even normal bleedouts, I accepted them as normal gameplay to get preassure. I accept that I can't do anything against good survivors without it and I accept that I will be tunneled and camped as survivor, for me it's not a problem but just a reasson to get better at and against it.

Judge me all you want, but I'm by far not one of the problematic people you talk about. I'm just using these things to win and I don't tunnel, camp or slug specific survivors because I hate them as a person or to make them miserable but because I got the chance to do that. If I find the person that hang a few seconds ago I won't pretend I didn't see them, if I have the chance to down 3 injured survivors and end the game I will do that, if survivor let themself too much time to save I will camp to next stage (not that that's possible with 70 seconds per stage, but still), all of the things mentioned are a misplay of the survivors and I will use them just like survivors will do it with me as killer.

You should at least try to set a different to the people and why they do they things they do ^^

I'm sick of this. I play survivor with my friends trying to have a fun casual match, and we get toxic killers who slug and watch us bleed out, people who proxy camp hooks, people who tunnel one person off hook to death forcing that person to sit out for 20 minutes while we finish, people who hump our bodies, or hit us on hook because God forbid we use the mechanics of the game and drop a pallet on their heads during a chase. I report all of these people, but I'm a console player and for some stupid reason I can't add additional information to my reports so nothing EVER happens to these people. I get sick of dealing with it and play killer, and I run into p100 teabagging flashlight clicking bully squads who all run saboteur with adrenaline and Alex's toolbox, burn map, hook distance and basement offerings and sit in dead zones so it's actually impossible to hook them, then at the end of a 45 minute 0 hook game they refuse to leave and sit there teabagging until I force them out. This game isn't fun anymore. This community isn't fun to play with. I'm tired of sending report after report after report and nothing being done about this type of behavior. I'm on the verge of just flat out refusing to support anything this studio ever touches. I already quit once during the release of plague and I'm starting to question why I wasted even more money on this game buying all the licensed chapters in the last 2 months. I play for hours just to get 1 or 2 quality matches where people don't decide that their mission in life is to ruin the experience for everyone else. These games are happening EVERY. SESSION. I've gotten death threats and hate mail through psn from this community. Why. Is. This. Allowed?

I can tell you why there never happens something with the reports: not a single thing you've have mentioned is reportable. Slugging, camping, tunneling and bleedouts (to some extend) are completely intended, the hupping is probably a thing that's just hard to confirm without replay function even tho I believe they don't like this really.

They can't really do anything about messages outside of their game, you'd have to report that to playstation and see what they are doing ^^

Chased an Ada in endgame and she had no scratchmarks, only pools of blood.

Perks were OtR, Lithe, Windows, We will make it. Everyone else dead (nobody had a boon anyway).

And the last smoke bomb was 3 min ago.

I think I saw people talking about a bug with the smokebombs where they let disappear the scratchmarks for the rest of the round xD

i always lose matches to them, even when you look at a wall they somehow shine a single light ray from the very edge of your screen and get a free save, it just pisses me off how slow it takes to pick up a survivor.

2.5 seconds from 3 second pick up would be huge

I find the fact that you already turned sometimes for half a second and still getting blinded much worse, it's not even desync, it's looks for survivors just as unrealistic as for the killer xD

  • I have to learn how I hold a knife like this, but I'm unsure if I will be ever a true master of my craft like clown xD

I usually play the game in total silence with a very good headset accurate enough to let me hear a survivor breathing.

But today I was only doing the rift for the event so I wasn't playing seriously. I was on Discord speaking with friends while playing as killer. After all, getting only five pallets or a few hooks is easier than winning a game.

For my last few matches of the night, I took Huntress just to aimlessly throw a few hatchets. I didn't even plan to get the golden medals for the rift. The discussion was still going on and I had muted the game. The map was RPD.

On Discord I was explaining some technical issue and how I solved it and wasn't paying attention to the game at all.

After a couple of minutes (maybe a bit more) I landed back on Earth and I realized I had already killed two survivors with 3 gens left.

I have no idea how I did it.

Later in the chat one survivor commented on my good mind games and looping.

Mind? My mind wasn't there at all.

The only thing that I can imagine is that maybe my subconscious mind was playing for me while I was otherwise occupied.

Has it ever happened to you?

I know that too, I can play huntress much better if I not think about my shots and just flick in autopilot. Also I'm sometimes playing better while being sick compared to normally even tho I'm not fully there xD

Who else thinks hit validation is long due for a pass? Especially on Vaults, now that the game shows the killer ping, it is super clear that as a killer the higher your ping the better advantages you've got, until a certain threshold of course. It is frustrating and unfair for survivors and for killers with a good ping, why should I find myself thinking "If I had 30ms more that would've hit", why should I lose a game another higher ping killer could've won, why should I get punished for it?

let me remind you that MMR system was turned into ashes because people wanted faster queue times. People are just allergic to longer queue times, which means this will never see the light of day

I mean on my part it does function relatively okay, at least I'm not getting so many people that are too weak and I'm personally okay with people that have a lot more hours than me xD

I took a month off. I just returned on Monday to begin the rift and event tomes. I needed a break but wow, coming back is hard!

I didn't get a single hook yesterday playing as Killer except for a trial where The Survivors wanted to farm and do their challenges. I have over 5,000 hours in this game and it was like I literally forgot how to play.

I wasn't patrolling the generators, I kept wondering why I could see their auras then remembered that you always see them as Killer 😆

It was a rough night. I caught back on to Survivor quickly but the Killer matches were embarrassing. Thankfully I use Anonymous mode.

The Survivors I faced against probably thought I was brand new until end game where they could see my prestige levels.

Have you ever taken a break and returned in bad shape like this?

Weirdly enough I'm often better after not playing for a while xD

Of course it's maybe 2 weeks then, otherwise I probably lose a chunk of my musclememory xD

  • @ChrisTheGreat said:

There needs to be a function added to the coding that attempts to match people with different killer characters.

I've played two games today, both against Ghostface. And for the last week, at least 50% of games are against him.

Do you have any idea how boring this has become?

I'm gonna be honest, I get so many rpd, badham, eyrie and garden of joy at the moment that I don't think this function would even work, because the matchmaking one clearly doesn't xD

Well jokes aside it would be possible, but it would increase the matchmaking time. So we should probably try that first and see how bad it would really be.

I think it's a good idea, but we'd also have to see what we do with people disconnecting, you could make them get another killer next match but that would incourage insta dc's, at the same time the other way could incourage them to leave matches even more because they don't realise that they still get the same killer xD

    Edit:

I just realised that I'm stupid it actually doesn't matter, you just have to exclude the last or maybe 2-3 killer from your matchmaking, you get random killers anyways still. It's to early in the morning xD

I mainly play the survivor side and recently decided to play some killer for a change and I swear survivors make no sense when they make up their own rules. Like recently, I found some users online asking why killers sweat (when they don't) during events and if they can stop and if they can just have fun with it, which I can agree with somewhat, but I feel like players shouldn't ask for one side to stop doing something such as sweating if they're gonna sweat themselves. I get not everyone is like this but me playing killer for like an hour and having 2/3 sweaty survivors in my games is crazy especially during the Haunted By Daylight event. Like I'm just trying to play chill and learn the Lich which I just got

It's funny isn't it? A lot of the complains you get as killer don't make sense at all, best excampel are people with boilover at the top of ironworks of misery:

I've had multiple people insulting me because I bled them out in this situation because they were crawling as far in the corner as possible xD

Well it's not like those complains mean anything in the end. I understand it if I actually did something that wasn't nice, but most of the time it's because of much smaller things like the killer you play or if you play chill or not.

The best thing you can do is ignoring them or being like me and just collect complains with fun, I'm thinking about them as some sort of cards: sometimes I get a really rare one, sometimes just normal ones xD

I don't even want him massively nerfed, I want him fixed and then we can see. There's never been a single moment where he's worked as intended, and currently he has 4 major bugs:

    • Audio issues, removing a lot of the coujterplay to Slice 'n' Dice if activated out of sight.
    • Slice 'n' Dice begins recharging it's cooldown after performing Scamper, as opposed to when it ends.
    • Post-Scamper has a completely uninhibited turn rate, as opposed to the limited turn rate of Slice 'n' Dice, and the 90° hard cap he's supposed to have post-Scamper.
    • Illusory footsteps just do not work half of the time.

Fix these, don't break him any further, maybe tone down Rat Poison, and then we can see if strength needs adjusting from there (though it'll probably a slightly longer Slice 'n' Dice cooldown, since atm it doesn't feel very punishing, but that could very easily just be yet another thing about him that's bugged.)

You're right the cooldown is bugged as far as I know, they nerfed the drill temporaly because there's a bug that starts the recharge sooner than it should. You already recharge while dashing but you should only do it after the dash I think.

  • @DabBoyWonder said:

This Killer is way to overpowered. I have 5k hours on this game. I have played multiple matches against this killer only time I ever survive is from the hatch. This killer needs to be nerfed. I will not be playing any matches against this killer till it is. If I get into a game and see The Dark Lord i will be leaving it.

How many is "multiple matches"? Because if it's 3 or something then play more against him, you'll see all of his powers are flawed to some extend, well at least wolf and vampire. xD

Bat at itself is okay, the problem is that you can change forms too quickly but that only a problem for bat, that's the reason why they should just make the change-cooldown after morphing into bat higher and let the rest be ^^

I had a feeling this would happen. Skull Merchant heavily complained about, later resorting in overly harsh nerfs destroying the killer to the point of next to no one wants to play her anymore. Now that Merchant is out the picture time to jump onto the next killer to complain about and destroy bandwagon. Before the Merchant complaints I NEVER came across "Nerf Chucky" posts and now I come across them more commonly than the "What killers do you hate going against most?" threads.

From my understanding when Chucky first released he received some nerfs which made his Scamper way weaker to the point of you can't even do it at all now as it was initially designed and because this happened quickly after release I decided to not buy him. Twisted Masquerade event this year roles around to which point the Good Gal Tiffany skin went on sale, I like Jennifer Tilly and upon realising she did voice lines for Tiffany in the game I bought both the Chucky DLC and the Tiffany skin together and played Tiffany throughout the entirety of the Twisted Masquerade event to the point of where I have put her in my 3rd slot of mains (Pig and Huntress being my go to's) I like playing Tiffany, while to me and my experience playing her I can safely say she isn't the strongest killer by any means. 110% movement speed with at best the Slice and Dice dash to get around a bit faster so this means large maps screw her a lot as you spend so much time walking to gens what may or may not even be on but that's a 110% issue in itself. Against smart players despite the no terror radius when in ability Tiffany still has voice lines like laughing and talking to which point strong alert players will just Shift W her to the point of even the Slice and Dice attack doesn't go far enough to reach them holding forward you have to just hope you can catch your opponent off guard which leads to my perk choices.

My go to build on Tiffany is: Unforeseen, Nowhere to Hide, BBQ, Agitation with Rat Poison + Power Drill. Yes a lot of Aura Reading but there is a reason for this.
    1. Unforeseen: For the reason I mentioned earlier with the voice lines while in ability, when not in ability Tiffany is less likely to say voice lines so you are able to do that sneak up catch survivors off guard moment.
    2. Nowhere to Hide: To combo with Unforeseen
    3. BBQ: To encourage me not to camp, I'm not sure why people hate to go against BBQ so much because If it shows you aura the killer is more likely to go off and find another chase instead of camping
    4. Agitation: I use this on pretty much all my killers, you'd be shocked as to how much time you save traveling to hooks and Agi definitely opened my eyes as to just how much time is wasted travelling to hooks without it.
    5. Rat Poison: to add that extra aura
    6. Power Drill: I like using her ability so this addon allows potentially more uses from it

As you can see, 0 Gen Defense perks something again Survivor players despise going against. I wouldn't exactly count Unforeseen and Nowhere to Hide as Gen Defense as for the most part these are just used for information which bare in mind Blast Mine is a commonly used Survivor Perk so this alone counters two of my perks and It was recently buffed. Now onto Tiffany's Slice and Dice, the ability I see commonly people say has 0 counterplay.

Slice and Dice can only really by design go forward or diagonally but that movement can be very predictive and easily avoided to the point of where even a survivor wrapping tightly around a tree or rock can take away the abilities strength. Then we have windows and dropped pallets, due to the Scamper nerf if Tiffany decides to vault a window or dive under a pallet she is stuck in animation to be able to only once again go forward or diagonally, meaning all the survivor needs to do is like a Hanzo ult in Overwatch to avoid it move slightly to the left or right and she completely misses. Like Pig with the "Rawr" she also does a "HYAAAAA" screech to alert you she's coming while in the ability.

"But the cooldown is so short!" Well it kinda needs to be. If she hits or misses someone with Slice and Dice she just goes back to being 110% with no ability all all for the 10 seconds, That's 10 seconds of potential Shift W leading to a next tile. Let's say you land both hits with the ability that's a potential bare minimum 20 seconds of chase with back to back hits. This isn't strong at all when other Killers have way quicker injure and down potential.

The only time new "Scamper" ever really works is at a tile where the pallet is in a narrow hallway or the Survivor player is a complete potato who doesn't realise all they needed to do was turn left or right. The topic I also see a lot is the "Chucky window or pallet flick tech" to be honest is it really a bad thing to have skill expression in DBD? It feels like whenever these cool techs are found (while unintentional) they are certainly not easy to pull off and looks quite impressive when It does work. Yet people want this removed? This is from my understanding quite rare to be able to pull off and those that do would have put time into figuring out what tiles It can potentially work on and what angles It can and can't potentially work on.

I feel because this can have a learning curve to it and not everyone being able to pull it off should be an indication of it staying as is. Take a look at Gears of War, a game series I have loved since release. Wall Bouncing was never ever intentional, it was a mechanic found by very very good players back in the day which again was something inexperienced players couldn't do. Gears then kept this in and has done ever since despite the complaints of casuals who claimed it was easy but could never actually do it, at least not properly and Gears thrived off it as a competitive shooter and added that bit more skill expression.

I enjoy Tiffany, it's why I adapted her into being part of my mains she is fun to play, her voice lines are so troll I love it "Hey! Don't piss your self already!" or once you killed everyone "Great effort everyone!" while not overly crazy strong and can create good looking plays, I have many clips and highlight footage of my Tiffany plays from stream. I think a lot of people in DBD don't know how to separate "This is OP!" and a player is just playing that character very well, heck it happens to me a lot on stream "You only won because you are playing a broken killer!" while ignoring all my strategies, plays etc to win that match, people genuinely believe a Killer can just do all the work for a player with their brain switched off.

Sadly to me It just seems Chucky is the next Killer to mass complain about as In my experience of DBD since 2018 I've seen a pattern of a Killer gets chosen as flavour of the month to mass complain about and as we know with BHVR they have a habit of listening to what gives them the most money and has the louder voice, because of the 4:1 this means Survivor voices are just heard more by default and always will. So once Chucky is nerfed (despite many nerfs already made to him) who would be next on the chopping block? Wraith? Dracula? Unknown?

You can also move backwards at loops with chucky, it's like the moon-dash from pig but with chucky (combined with normal slides that counters hugging loops or objects a lot of the time). The cooldown normally isn't as short if I remember right, normally the cooldown should start after starting the hit or even after you move normally again, it's bugged since they reduced it so it already starts while dashing xD

II have been playing this game fore. And I'm not for sure what has happened now, but

There is no time to take a hit from the killer and still be able to unhook a survivor. There is no time to take a hit from the killer and still be able to unhook a survivor. It used to be while unhooking you coukd take a hit and the killer stun time was long enough for you to unhook the other player. Something is not working right now as the time lapse is so short the killer gets you twice, your down and the other player is still hooked. Hope you guys can fix this

I mean I didn't play yesterday, but I didn't see a difference before at least. If you played the event I can just imagine that you got doubletaped with the ghost and outside of that maybe stfl? xD

I'm curious how does the community enforce rules besides complaining about playstyles?

    Simple:

they don't. They'll throw bad comments or insults at you, but besides that laughable "punishment" there's nothing they can and will do against you. Most people complaining are just really two sided in my experience, they'll most of the time try to throw you on some map favoring them with some build explizit for this map and then tbag you at the gate or mid match telling you how bad you are, that's exactly why I don't restrict myself at tunneling and camping. You'll just don't get anything from playing nice xD

  • @coldflame said:

There's a dozen or so things you're not allowed to do as killer at punishment of being cried at for an hour, but this doesnt seem to translate at all in the other direction. Why is it kosher for survivors to employ whatever miserable and degenerate strategies they want?

Bhvr lean into this by canonising a lot of these complaints in wide reaching balance changes

Well in theorie there are some unwritten rules if you want to play perfectly nice at least for me:

Don't tbag, don't stay in the gate if you don't have to, don't vaultspam, don't wait by hatch, don't follow me around to get chased, don't use overly insane offerings like badham, eyries or garden of joy (neutral maps like mac millian are okay). In the end I don't expect anyone to play by this rules especially because I don't do it as killer myself xD
