It's most likely will be SpringTrap since he is the killer from FNAF and he's mostly the sole reason why all the other animatronics through out the series are haunted and/or programed to kill. Even killed his own kids unintentionally with his creations.

Oh now it makes sense that everyone wants him, I just saw him from gameplay perspective where he always was pretty boring to me xD

yh but needing to rely on an addon to be able to react to the turrets is lame lol

You don't really need it, if you use ur tail good you wouldn't be stunned out of it too often it just takes away a huge chunk of the chance of that happening. Xeno is still functioning without it, it's just still one of his best options because it allows you to have more reactiontime or tank the turret longer for downs.

  • Nice job, I think my favorites on killer side are pyramid head and sadako and on survivor side nicolas and sable :D

From my experience it's like every single match... Survivors attitude is horrendous regardless of if they win or lose. So ye, tunnel em out and give them something to have a bad attitude about if they will be toxic anyway

I wouldn't say every swf, but at least many swfs that throw you on eyrie with insane toolboxes or 3-4 flashlights. Fact is that you should use what you can xD

  • @Mawwiehn said:

xeno is annoying but the turrets are too much really with how fast they get you out your mode with no counterplay whatsoever so nerf them a bit

At least with the one helmet you're almost never getting out of your power if you priotize them midchase and there's only one, if there's more than one you're out of luck xD

Every time I want to play the game when there's a modifier active, I have to play at a specific time of day otherwise queue times are consistently between 5-10 minutes, whether standard 4v1 or the modifier.

I'm bored of sitting in queues that sometimes last longer than games themselves (due to the whole "go next" era we're currently in) - I end up just playing another game entirely or not bothering to play at all

    Anyone feeling the same?

It's only at the moment so bad, normally the queues are pretty quick especially because mmr isn't activated on the event as far as I've seen xD

Do you guys think fnaf might beat it and become the next highest player count in dbd history? It has the most liked post in dbd twitter so maybe it might has the high player count

I think that depends on what characters they actually choose and how well they picture fnaf as killer as a concept in dbd.

I'm don't know much of the story of fnaf and I don't play or watch it regulary, but with that I hope it won't be spring trap I've always found him increadible boring and I personally don't think of him first if I hear fnaf xD

The idea of pallets is that thy hit you if you'e udner them, not if you're next to them or a meter away from them...

It's insane their range is so large. And no, it's not a lag/ping thing

Yes the worst I've seen was through the wall of shack xD

You can sometimes stand in front of palettes perfectly knowing that it can't hit you and... it hits you for absolutely no reason at all xD

  • @joel84 said:

Nobody can tell me that newcomers make up the majority of the player base. Times have changed. Many players don't want to memorize all the map layouts, and perks like windows of opportunity are especially helpful for newcomers. However, this also leads to survivors getting too comfortable.

When playing with perks like Genetic Limits, this is noticeable. Most survivors suddenly run around the map like chickens. Completely uncontrolled.

But one thing is clear: If the developers want to change the meta, they HAVE to adapt the WoO

I haven't played WoO for a long time and I'm already busy memorizing all the layouts to make it easier in the future (in case something happens)

is just a tip from me 😉

I mean it's not hard to know where palettes could spawn, 90% of the maps have the same structures and a main building. Windows only tells you where they actually spawned and if they are still up, windows doesn't make you suddenly better at pathing or something it just ensures that you don't run into nothing. xD

Would everyone be able to tell the other survivors which palettes where used and where they spawned I'd maybe think about it, but at moment I think it would only hurt solo-queue very badly and doesn't make a huge difference for the rest

I'm sorry but we should not be penalized for dodging map offerings.

That's true we should just delete them completely, no one plays map offerings because the map looks so nice anyways xD

Right, because video games are supposed to be completely realistic. Id like to see how easily you'll be able to use your shoulder after getting thrown on a hook. Or when killer just kicks a gen and it blows up in their face they take no damage. Or when we jump off a two story building and we dont break our legs. If you made the those attacks have such a wide area of attack they'd basically never miss and the game wouldn't be a survival game. It'd be a killer's game. If you wanna be realistic you should let survivors be able to kill the killer and fight back. Sure most of them would win hands down, but alot of killers wouldnt be able to hold their own if survivors could defend themselves.

I don't understand your point crouch tech wasn't possible before as far as I know, it randomly appeared and therefore it shouldn't exist xD

You have to use the altar in the middle of the new realm?

Bruh. They don't mention that at all. I never went out of my way to go there, I just charged my ability. And the event description just says that in the middle there is a "surprise", not the activation in your aforementioned ability.

Like I said I also took until the second half of the first match xD

Well have fun with the ghosts :D

  • It was in range, it always got stuck directly at the palette and windows aswell ^^

Why exactly should touching a survivor guarantee a hit? And hitting right in the middle? You realize how much bigger killers are to survivors? You have to actually aim down when they are crouching. Surprise surprise, and idk what you are expecting about getting pushed to the side, a killer cant just move you. That's kinda the reason why even if they dont crouch a killer has to hit you to move. How else would you body block. Their special attacks are flashy and exaggerated, it wouldn't make sense if they could hit you with them just as easily as a normal m1.

Well I don't know why a litteral claw in your head should injure you badly, try crouching beside a tiger and see how he misses you xDDD

You shouldn't have to aim down to hit them (not to mention blight, demo and I think even hillbilly all aim automatically up without a chance to move it while using their power), it doesn't make sense that you miss so easily especially if you think about the fact wesker still hits easily at same conditions xD

And I'm not surprised a survivor pushes me away under this conditions, I just find it funny because it doesn't make sense at all.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3821860#Comment_3821860

How exactly will a survivor push a killer. I play killer quite alot and the only killers ive ever been crouch tech'd are when I play blight or billy, ive seen people do it against demo, but Ive never played him and none of them have ever pushed the killer. If you'd actually learn your killer you'd know that even if a survivor crouch tech's, if you actually know where to aim you'll almost never miss. More then a few video's on youtube explaining that. Crouching is supposed to make your hitbox smaller, but near unhittable by blights? Blight's skill kit charges accuracy for speed. Its only obvious that it'd be harder to hit a target when the hitbox is smaller. gl perfecting your timing.

First of all you can aim exactly in the middle of the survivor at doorframes with blight and you will miss entirely and swing into them stopping you, but they still don't get hit. So that isn't a question of the timing, you can only counter it by looking down and then attack near inside them.

Second: I don't mean pushing in the sense of really pushing you to the side, you just touch the survivor physically but don't hit them and because of that you get pushed to the side. It's like running into a barrel at the side and it doesn't stop you but instead pushes you to the side ^^

And yes you can hit crouchtechs, but as soon as you don't hit perfectly in the middle with billy or demo you'll miss even if you touch them (and it gets even more impossible if they are behind a corner), with blight at doorframes even that doesn't work, only the thing I've wrote above xD

WHAT ? I thought 68ms wasn't too much to have an impact in the gameplay… Geez, how many ping have you to consider it as a decent ping ?
Thanks for the analysis in slow motion. I'm convinced that kind of miss should be soooo frustrating for the killer as much as it had surprised me.

At 68 ping I can tell you that you already get some additional hits as killer, even at around 40 the game's still weird sometimes. You need around 20 or less for it to make sense mostly xD

I don't even know why there seems to be such a low amount of killers, I had a 100% boost even I lost exactly 1 match from idk 15?. Without mmr (it seems) it's really easy to play most of the time, so at least that can't be the problem.

  • @VantaNite said:

You realize heal tech's and crouch tech's are basically just jokes people make when doing something basic and somehow works making the killer wiff. The scamper tech is basically a bug and getting a free hit isnt some little deal like crouching is.

Did you ever see a crouchtech from killers perspective? You can touch and being pushed away by the survivor because touching the survivor is apparently not enough for a shred to hit lol (same with billy). And we don't even talk about the fact you can/were able to crouch at shack doors to be near unhittable by blights xD (don't know if the blightchanges fixed the door trick. I think that also worked with billy, but I'm not sure xD)

Heal tech is just abusing the fact killers and survivors can't interact with the same objection at the same time, it also doesn't have anything you can do about it. It doesn't even make the killer miss, at least not if you mean that what most people understand under "heal tech", so healing a downed survivor at the door to let them get out.

Crouch tech is considered a bug that wasn't fixed until now if I remember correctly: crouching is supposed to make your upper hitbox smaller, but not your hitbox at the sides (the reason why it takes away hits that should've worked).

Heal tech is just bad gamedesign but at least not a bug, yes.

Validation hits or auto aim hitting the wall instead of survivor just because they vaulted and have lithe is seriously ridiculous. Robbed so many times of hits that deserved to hit (not just because it’s a ping issue). I hate lithe so much. And can already see the comments saying “would you rather old dead hard” and it’s not even me calling the perk op or whatever. It’s a bug that needs to be fixed that makes it frustrating to go against.

I feel like the autoaim got worse in general, I've hit so much more corners instead of around it yesterday. I'm gonna admit my hits weren't the best yesterday, but it still felt like it should've hit most of the time xD

Please for the love of all that is holy make it so we don't get interrupted by trashy camping killers when we try to unhook our teammates so we can get saves. Thank you. And I know the people who will disagree with me are going to be killers.

What would that even change lol? If I Interrupt you it doesn't change a thing, you can still unhook in the hitcooldown.

Unhooks since the grab removel are only completely defendable with stbl like @Brimp already mentioned, outside of that you can trade as free as you want to without anything to fear at all. Especially in endgame it would be horrible to remove the interruption completely, it's even less defendable than already then.

(Did I mention that only taps REALLY interrupt you? Lunges are also doing that but only in it feels like the first 0,2 seconds of the unhook, after that you always get that )

I have been playing Tiffany today for the first time since the update dropped where apparently they fixed an issue with scampering and I noticed the turn rate after a scamper was so much bigger and the noise was different. I have seen discussion about it being a bug, others saying it’s some kind shadowbuff. No idea how it looks like from the survivor POV, but none of my opponents mentioned anything weird… But I definitely felt it.

Could we please get a clarification on what it actually is and if it’s a bug should we expect The Good Guy to get killswitched or is it not considered that big of an issue? Tiffany is my favorite killer to play at the moment but I feel bad playing a killer that has a bug that makes them not work as intended and I do not want to exploit a bug.

Maybe that it looks cleaner and sound is different is intended, I would be really confused if the turn rate at that extend was also intended. You can do a double vault with the scamper maybe even more, that seems like a way too insane buff to be on purpose xD

If a survivor is able to drop a flashbang inside of you, that means they were waiting very close by. Anything from faking pickups to running Infectious Fright can do wonders against that. It's definitely not just face a wall, run Lightborn, or bust.

I shouldn't even have to worry about it, it's a bug you're even able to do that lol. The counter against flashbangs and flashlights is looking at a wall, that's what it always was and will be because it's normally impossible to blind the killer like this xD

Even if you mean it as a joke it is indeed a counter, but that isn't a reason to let them be bugged like this xD

Well maybe it's better if they don't touch it if I think about the chucky-fix yesterday that created 3 new bugs of which one of them is the original one slightly different xD

I notice when I read these discussions a lot of people complain on killer perks and survivor perks. Let’s get one thing straight for example I had really fun playing Chaos shuffle along with 2v8. In my opinion those modes made the game really fun and enjoyable wanna know why?? Because not everyone is running the same meta perks on both sides and don’t have to rely on them. Chaos shuffle was a really good addition to the game because people didn’t have to really on their usual meta perks often it’s a mix up which made the game very balancing. 2v8 was good as well because there’s no perks at all and it was still enjoyable.

I mean some things have their reason:

flashbangs being able to be dropped inside you looking at a wall is just dumb and the only thing I can do is slug, because looking at walls is the only thing you can do to counter blinds. Also they are bugged since ages that they don't make sounds behind corners, so you have to look at the (sometimes) beautiful sky to not random get blinded because you didn't hear the flashbang that you should've easily heard xD

  • @jasonq500 said:

Idk what happened with Chucky in this hotfix, but if this is a bug then it should be made into a feature for Chucky as scampering before was essentially useless

gen perks need a nerf heavy. every killer i go against uses surge, pop, grim embrace, and pain. it is ridiculous that killers can use all these perks at once and survivors have to skillfully decide what perks to use with what because we get exhaustion. this game is so killer sided it's unreal that dbd devs keep digging themselves a deeper grave with their horrible decisions. first hooks respawn, and now every killer can mori?

The fact you say they use it together means it's a m1-killer:

surge is hardly strong, pop is good but got nerfed it feels like 5 times by now, grim embrace doesn't even have a synergy with the rest and pain got nerfed too. Against a m1-killer you shouldn't have too much of a problem even with this perks

It would be cool to see how many thumbs ups a player receives as well as by who as a little statistic. Possibly even win something after so many likes and maybe for having the highest score in the match. Charm, badge, or banner after so many thumbs ups and shards for having highest score.

I've always wondered for what it was even added, I've never seen a way to look them up and they don't seem to tell you if someone gives you a thumbs up xD

is it worth playing anymore? Well, as a survivor… I’m an average gamer but have 100s of hours in this game…as killer I’ll get 4k almost every game, everything is designed to take me straight to a killer and if I’m getting looped no worries, speed boost.. As a survivor, what’s the point? Killers perk 12 second bonus, survivor perk, 0.5 sec bonus…

Killers have speed boost, 101 aura perks and every tool under the sun to make the game a breeze - in fact it’s not a game, it’s too easy with aura reveal, invisibility, teleporting, gen blow ups, there is zero challenge to playing killer. It is the single most zero skill game mode available today…

As a survivor it’s just how long until you die, there’s no hide, there’s no seek, since they know exactly where you are at all times and if you have the audacity to do anything as survivor you’re punished. Even now with predator revealing auras after rudely escaping a chase (yet distortion made it “too easy” for survivors.

It’s not fun, it’s not challenging, it’s not interesting. So what is the point. Why is it so hard to balance a game so both sides face a challenge and require skill.. it used to be better than this and with every step they take it’s just dull, lifeless, pointless..

And again: play killer for a while straight and win every game and then come back telling us how easy swfs with over 20k or more hours are on badham, eyrie, garden of joy or even coaltower. I'd be interested to see what you say then xD

With a relatively little amount of hours and therefore probably mmr, killers are always at the advantage even before the buffs. At mid-high mmr it gets more balaced and depending on how much the survivors hate you and what killer you play, your life will be suffering xD

The perk is horrible at least give survivors the chance to use it more than twice. It’s trash no point in running it can’t even be used in deep wound. So sad to see such a fun perk from back then become a laughing stock perk.

Dead hard is still a really strong perk, it's still one of the most used perks after 2 nerfs, do you think that would be the case if it was trash?

The only thing that changed is that it isn't "press E to win" anymore because you actually have to time it right, it was limited to 2 uses because it was still insanely strong after the first nerf. Now it's ether a insane tool to make tunneling harder if you use it in a place with loops near you AND if you don't get tunneled it's still insane to extend chases especially because no one expect it xD

It's in some situtations even stronger than old dead hard because you can body block with it now xD

  • @LordGlint said:

Feel like the area for head on is abit too forgiving. You shouldn't have to worry about a head on stun after pulling a survivor from the locker NEXT to it. I'd understand if I then walk in front of the 2nd locker, but the area really shouldn't be covering areas to the sides like that rather than JUST directly in front of the locker.

It gets worse, the hitbox lingers so you sometimes even get stunned if you swing too soon at the survivor jumping out, even if you didn't ger stunned by the initial jump xD

If you want it much easier you should use a crossair.

Insults - are the MOST pointless part of any conversation.

If you're playing solo queue as survivor and the killer you're up against decides they're gonna immediately tunnel out their first hook for the easiest win then there's nothing you can realistically do as that survivor to prevent this and get a win out of it.

"Just run anti-tunnel perks." You can run the 4 objectively best anti-tunnel perks and you're still gonna go down and get sacrificed. These perks do buy your team time to do gens before you get hooked again, but these perks are not going to keep you from dying and getting a loss. Not to mention that you're trading all of your survivor's power for a situational buff that doesn't even help you win the game, just your teammates.

"Just get better at looping." Cool thanks every killer main who tunnels at 5 gens and thinks every survivor main has 10,000 hours and regularly loops the entire match like their favorite youtuber. No actually that's not how the game works and it's obnoxious how every discussion about unfun mechanics on the killer's side of the table come down to unreasonable expectations of what your average solo queue survivor player can pull off. You are not seeing 4 man SWF lobbies with a combined total of 60k hours every match like you claim you are.

"Your team should save you." Without the ability to communicate with that team this is near impossible. Even with good solo queue teammates the fact you have no means to communicate between each other means a rescue usually isn't going to happen. Sure it can happen, I've seen it once and only once. But realistically either your teammates realize the situation and genrush while you're getting focused or they waste their time in a failed attempt to rescue you and get slugged out. And it's usually the latter sadly. Which makes the experience far worse.

"Just add more anti-camp/tunnel." Sure lets add bandaid solutions to the problem until killer is literally unplayable because you get 4 minutes of endurance if the killer so happens to be within 200 meters of your hook when you get unhooked. They help buy time for your team if they choose to genrush, but they're never going to stop tunneling unless they get so egregious it negatively effects normal killer gameplay.

To put it simply, there's a fundamental issue with the core gameplay loop where 1 choice of 1 player results in an extremely negative outcome for the other players before the match even started. A consistently negative experience that really shouldn't exist in the game. And due to the way the game is designed to function there aren't any really good options for the victims of this outcome to stop the aggressor. This to me is why people constantly rage out and get so upset about it. Nothing you do matters, you're going to lose no matter what, and the next 2-4 minutes if your life are spent watching the longest game over scene ever created. You can't really have this experience and say you had a good time.

    So whats the solution?
Well people tunnel to win. So why not do something with that? Give less pips to killers who win by tunneling. And give better pip rewards to killers who don't tunnel. This could alter with gen progression. Like tunneling a survivor out at 5 gens is worthless, but tunneling out at 2 gens isn't.
And if killers are intentionally tunneling to stay in lower ranks and torment newer/inexperienced players, then you have a legitimate argument for griefing and taking direct action against that account.

No one cares about pips, they are worthless except bloodpoints (that are also worthless with the insane amount you get). Also you can't even lay it out as griefing because bhvr wants tunneling and camping as an option, they just want to make it harder to control it better.

The better option would be to actually make hooking different survivors any usefull, at the moment hooking different survivors until last hook is basically screaming that you want to lose. Sure you'll have a moment of preassure because 2 people are bussy (1 hangs and 1 goes for the unhook, after that 1 gets healed and 1 heals. Maybe you chase 1 so you're at one person doing gens), but it's nothing against having 1 person out after 1/3 or 1/2 of the match (1 hangs, 1 unhooks then 1 gets healed, 1 heals so 1 on gen. Or even better 0 on gens if you chase the last one in that moment).

The healing buff From Botany is more of a %buff then an additive buff like items in this case. So the .35cs from SC becomes .52cs as 50% of .35 is .17. and .52 end us up being 16.12cs in 31 seconds.

The picture is also the end of a 50 second clip of the heal going in real time.

Why can't they just be consistent for once, that's so complicated and makes it so much worse xD

Well thank you for explaining it to me, have a nice day! :D

Right? Because his whole thing would be perks it's impossible to know what kind of build he would bring when you met him, and how powerful he would be in general, that's the interesting part to me.

They could just create a super basic design, 32m terror radius, average height, name him Joe, backstory "Joe is a killer that kills people" and surprise drop him in a midchapter. Would be fun. I'd probably run a mix of undetectable, info and chase.

I mean the build-aspect is interessting and insanely versatile, designwise he's really boring and probably not many people would play him I think xD

I think it would be very interesting if a killer like that existed. If 6 isn't enough, how many perk slots would a killer need to compensate for having no power before they felt good to play across most skill levels?

That sounds like he's ether way to weak or insanely op, also he would probably be the same like nurse and nerf some perks that are fine on other killers but not on him xD

I'd use surge, spirit fury, enduring, brutal strength bamboozle and bbq on him because that sounds funny to make him a monster at chase xD

They work together but its not much. still spend more the 30 second not doing anything when someone else healing is much faster.

How do you get 30 seconds as result with that? You heal with 85% so 0,85 charges per second, that results to around 19 seconds? xD

Nothing against you, I'm just trying to find out if the math is different on heals than on gens, because with the gen one it would be around 19.

1 … 18 19 20 21 22 … 35
