Flashbangs need to be created, it takes time. Lightborn doesn't require the killer to do anything, it's just there, readily and infinitely available.
That doesn't mean the survivor should be able to consistently bring me in a uncounterable position were the only thing I could do is slugging until the person bleeds out. The only thing a killer can do to not get blinded is looking into a wall, flashbangs are uncounterable because you just drop it inside the killer and he will without a doubt be blinded, that's not balanced. Besides that: "takes time to be created" yes under 10 seconds on most gens, the time you sit on the gen is not time you need to create it, that progress for the perk is passive for doing your objective.

some restrictions it could have is if you get healed. Also nothing to do with ds but how about they use the pyramid head cages like in 2v8.
I mean you could also do that because you're not getting tunneled if you had the time to be healed, but I just don't want people with ds to bodyblock, it's just counterprodactive to make something against tunneling and at the same time don't let the killer play without it xD
And yes cages would also be an option but the mainpoint that worked was the fact both sides were very fast paced, I don't think you have the speed to use it like this in the normal game.

Even Distortion in its current state isn't uncounterable, it has tokens that need to be recharged. Why isn't Lightborn the same? I think it's a bad design.
Some propositions I have for changing Lightborn:
- make it have tokens that need to be recharged somehow and/or make it start with a few tokens. Each token gets consumed upon each blinding attempt
- with Lightborn you still get blinded (and stunned if carrying a survivor), but you recover from the blind/stun 50% faster. That way people can still utilize flashlights etc., but you can act sooner than usual thanks to Lightborn.
Either (1) or (2) would be neat, I'm not proposing both of them be implemented.
Sure IF we fix flashbangblinds while looking against walls, otherwise nope xD

I seen it alot. They go to a locker and is stop chasing and another survivor enters locke cause they know if i open a locker i would be punished for it.
Sounds relatively specific to do, no wonder I've never seen it xD
Well maybe I will some day, bullysquads aren't too rare ^^

There is kind of an epidemic with Survivors 4%ing themselves to go to the next match, and like 9 times out of 10, its unreasonable, but that 1 other time is interesting.
In my opinion, if there are 3 hooks before the first gen pops, specifically in solo queue, that game is cooked and its time to go next. Is this fair, at what point is a trial unrecoverable?
Nope it's still no reason to #########, I'm also not gonna stand in a corner or dc if I lose 2 gens first chase am I?
I hate it both as killer and survivor. As killer I have to wait ages if I want to be nice or have to kill them quickly without much of a challenge for the most part. And as survivor it's just annoying because I know now AFTER the one person killing herself I don't have a chance to win anymore.

@TheDavidKingMain said:
Yeah, I said it.
Let’s stop pretending that the biggest problem in the game is anything besides how rampant tunneling is.
Just look how miserable chaos shuffle is for survivors currently. Extremely low chance of getting anti tunnel, meaning that if the killer wants to tunnel you out immediately they can VERY likely do so.
You should not NEED to run anti tunnel to have a playable experience.
If it deactivates on bodyblock (I mean real bodyblocking, not just being near another survivor, I certainly know that it would be useless otherwise) sure, otherwise no xD
-
@legiondoctor said:
I know i said this before but im tired of seeing survivors doing the same strategy
Jump in locker>killer attempts to grab the hiding survivor> survivor drop flashbang>killer cant do anything> easy save
Also flashbang can hit killers who arent even looking around flashbang, it can hit you behind you, under you, or if you are looking up the flashbang still hits you.
Either make lightborn longer or remove the radius so the killer has to look at the explosion to get blinded
I've never seen the thing you're describing not even on bully squads xD
I can confidently say that flashbangs don't hit you always, as long as you look up even standing on top doesn't do anything at all then (you can also turn away from it without issues). I give you the point that it's uncounterable while you pick up against a wall and dropped inside you, that's a thing that should be removed.

An unbalanced killer, her ability is too strong, she does not allow the survivors to play adequately.Counterplay is just not cleansing, after the pools she has basekit/additionaly she's just a m1-killer you have to play injured against. Her red puke has to be strong because it's really easy to deny and the survivors have to be punished for denying it because she's powerless otherwise.
In conclusion she's pretty okay balanced.

With the return of chaos shuffle, I was reminded again that no mither is still a perk that exists in this game. A perk that is so insanely detrimental not just for the user but by proxy also the entire team that it can single handedly cost survivors the game. It's worse than an empty perk slot. Please rework this mistake of a perk or at the very least give us an option to disable it during chaos shuffle.
Isn't it meant as a challenge perk? No one in their right perk would use that for trying to win xD

Maybe yes. You are probably right, I can't tell neither. Except at low MMR, I just don't play against one of them…
Well at my mmr with people between 2-8k often there are close to zero keys at all. So I couldn't even try to watch what they do at the moment xD

After completing 3 Skill Checks, the Perk lets you see regressing generators, why is this bad?
There are way too many things that actually can regress generators, so it's not a good Perk to locate the Killer, it can trigger from their kicks, but it also can trigger from their Add-ons or Perks, like Hex: Ruin or Surge.
What can we do to fix this? It's quite simple actually!
- Remove the activation condition.
An arbitrary condition that only serves the purpose of the Perk being scalable with tiers.
- When you interact with a regressing Generator, be faced with a difficult Skill Check.
- Successfully hitting the Skill Check will instantly progress the Generator by 3/4/5% of its maximum progression.
- Missing the Skill Check doesn't inflict a penalty.
Ever since kicking generators regresses them by 5%, I thought it would be fun if there was a Perk that could reverse it with a bit of skill, so here I present to you Survivor Overcharge.
Rookie Spirit
You keep a careful eye on objectives when they're slipping away.
- You can see the aura of regressing generators.
- You will face a difficult Skill Check when interacting with one.
- Succeeding the Skill Check results in an additional 3/4/5% bonus progress.
- Failing the Skill Check doesn't regress the generator.
What do you think?
Why do you even assume it's there for you to see the location of the killer? It's supposed to show you regressing gens so you can stop it.
Yeah idk about the bonus progress, it's basically like gentabing before especially because many people don't have much of a problem with it (at least I rarely see overcharge work and with that it even is a surprise, so it's even harder). I see why you would take away the condition to activate, that would be fair.

When your playing Killer, High MMR is so frustrating, my gaming session is filled with VAC Banned players every other match which leads me to believe these people are possible DBD Hackers, Im led to believe they are hacking when we get into chase and it always seems like they can read my movements thru walls. Now I play survivor and im well aware of the red glow from killers and im also aware of using holes in loops to see where the killer is and when I play survivor I admit its pretty easy to prolong a chase around obstacles however, I have no idea in the heat of a match who is a subtle hacker and who is legit. I have been pretty successful in my reports against subtle hackers from the feedback I've been recieving from BHVR but this is getting very old fast. I hate MMR. Im at a point I only want to play survivor because of the MMR all of my killers are stuck at. I typically get 2-3ks in my killer matchs and I have even noticed some of the survivors I go up against are in Comp Teams or Big name TTV's….im so tired of playing these super intense matchs and its so much chiller as a survivor.
Are there any plans to make Killer a little less stressful? Again, the hackers hasnt been addressed and im guessing most likely never will so whats the plan?
Outside of map-offerings it's pretty well balanced for me at least with chucky, I mostly win my matches and if not it's still a relatively balanced match more often than not. I rarely see obvious hackers I don't know about subtle ones, if I got a few they got completely destroyed or they are on the side of the relatively balanced ones xD

Not sure why this isn't a client-side accessibility option yet. Same thing for changing Plague's power. The SOLO DEVELOPER for Lethal Company added an arachnophobia mode only months after players raised concerns. I hope something similar is added to this game.
Why would I deactivate the only horror aspect that this game has outside of the characters?
It's a killer brutally trying to murder you while you try to escape in panic (at least in the lore, after it feels like 10 rounds this game isn't very scary anymore xD).
I feel like the moris and looks of the killers should be even more brutal and disgusting, it's relatively light for the most part.

I've never seen a huge difference between them to be honest, most of the time they play pretty normal I think. Like I said I ignored them completely, maybe they were the survivors that always annoyed me with hiding? xD

Every single game I play as killer seems to be against the same perks. Lithe, Windows of Opportunity, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Unbreakable, Background Player, Flip Flop, Boil Over, flashlights, brand new parts, styptics.
Every time I do, I remember that these are the people complaining about killers slugging for the 4K, but they're content to make every single match the same stale, miserable experience. Unless I'm running an S-tier killer I'm just supposed to play along with their cookie cutter builds.
I'm so tired of it. Game's not called "Survive By Daylight." When I see people posting complaints about slugging or tunneling or camping but this is the "meta," this is what we're up against if we're even slightly above wood tier? Killers are making the game "unfun" for you? Really?
I hope they make Tombstone Myers basekit.
I mean it's the same on both sides. Most killers also just play: bbq, grim embrace, lethal, dead lock, dead mans switch, pain resonance, pop, on reload killers iron maiden, surge, weave, franklins, pentimento, corrupt. You mostly just have to see which of them they use.
Both sides always have stale perks, using anything else would often just be making yourself use, so most people prefer using it. (I'm playing killer 90% of the time, I just accepted it on both sides xD)

Are exit gates too fast or a maps too big? Sometimes even with killers with fantastic mobility, exit gates feel near impossible to control sometimes without the assistance of perks.
Would it be too strong if exit gate times were dependent on how many survivors are alive? 1 survivor alive = current exit opening time and with each survivor alive add an extra 2-3 seconds? It doesn’t need to be Slow like Remember Me as making it too strong would buff that perk, but it would benefit on bigger maps, I find the Greenville square gates literally insane because they are so so far apart. I can imagine it’s frustrating to balance these type of things with maps being different sizes too, because slower exit gates on Midwitch would be awful but idk I feel like it’s an issue, anyone else?
Most of the time it works, sometimes they are kilometers away and it's mostly a guess right or lose then. Of course that also depends on the map, I had maps with chucky were I just see both exits crossmap in the middle xD

Pentimento is by far not a weak perk regarded to it's effects, but it's still a hex perk and it needs arguably more hex perks to even function properly. It can be good if you have it on a spot defendable with everything else, outside of that it will probably be cleansed quite quick again and won't give to much value.

All the killer's you listed should be next on the chopping block for needs. Wesker is fine.
What did chucky do to you, his scamper is already useless in many cases. They could turn up his cooldown a little but I think more than 2-4 seconds would be overkill for what he's capable of, especially because he's 4,4 xD

I'm pretty sure even if he did it by himself by playing it would have got you a ban because you're probably not allowed to share your account without reaching out to bhvr. Outside of that services like this are illegal because they are probably tax-evasion at least in germany I think.
(Of course we don't have to even talk about the case with a third-party program, that will get you banned for sure)

Please, I beg you, do not tell people when someone has a key. We all know about killers tunneling people with keys, but team mates also play differently when someone has a key.
I just had a game where I tried to do a "Survive with Quentin" daily. For double safety, I decided to carry a key.
I was doing gens, taking chases and such. Two of our team mates died, I was wounded and this Steve was next to me. I run away when I hear the terror radius, he obviously follows, and I crouch a couple of times to ask him to heal me.
I thought he was asking me to go do generators, and I was trying to tell him "Yes, I will, but heal me first", yet he would not have it. He'd constantly drop his item and at the time I didn't know what he meant, but after the game I realized he was asking me to drop my key for him.
He was getting annoyed and made some noise and scratch marks everywhere. At the time, I didn't realize why he was doing this, but regardless, he ended up bringing the killer to us. The killer, obviously went for the wounded player. As I was trying to go away so he'd at least do the last gen remaining while I looped the killer, I realize this guy is hiding in a corner waiting for me to die.
I brought the killer back to him and at least he got wounded, but eventually, after sandbagging me, the killer ended up downing me.
As you can imagine, the player went to my hook, took my key, and tried for hatch. Even after all of that, he was unsuccessful.
The worst part is that I had the highest score on the team, and he had the second worst, only better than the one Nea that stood AFK from the beginning of the match and gave her first hook to the killer for free.
So, to summarize. Please, please, please… don't show people you have a key. It makes them play in awful ways. I know you're planning on maps and key reworks, but for christ's sake, don't do anything without fixing people trolling when they see one in game…
tunneling keys is still a thing? I completely ignored them since the nerf and I can't even think of more than 3 escapes with it xD
Why would I waste my time for that? xD

No heart beat / no terror radius, how am I supposed to know I'm being chased while having my vision reduced? Might as well just wait to die at this point.
He's a moving lightbulb in his nightfall just like the other survivors and is still relatively good to hear even after making him quiter, not to mention that his nightfall is relatively rare and not 24/7. I always wonder on what brightnes all of you play that you don't see anything, even in lights out I was able to see everything still xD

I know its kind of a weird question but hear me out:
I am a Huntress Main with like 1.5k hours just on her. Inspired by the video from dbd things on Youtube I started practicing my orbitals and have by now become quite good with them.
That in turn leads to a lot of survivors accusing me of cheating since they dont understand what happened when they get hit by 2 hatches in short succession. A lot of people reported me from what they said and also posted on my Profile that I am an obvious cheater.
I also have the feeling that I get reported a lot in my games that aren't with huntress too. Mostly cause people dont understand how certain killers work (finding people in lockers with frenzy is a good example) or dont agree with certain (alledged) playstyles.
My question is: how does the report system work? Can I get autobanned for just receiving a high amount of reports in a short time or does everything get manually reviewed and im at no risk of being banned as long as im not cheating?
Well if actually so many people reported me for cheating that have said it, I'd be banned by now I guess. I don't think you have to worry, they know that people report for everything that doesn't go their way (regarded to slugging, tunneling and camping), so I think they also know that most of the reports even for cheating are unvalid.

The bots are also there for the killer.
Before bots were added for disconnects, killers complained about not triggering perks like pain res and blood Warden because survivors would DC on the way to the hook and deny the perk.
That doesn't happen anymore, so those perks still provide value for the killer in those situations.
Actually I forgot about that option but for a reason: I always kill the players first.
My wincondition is always 3 kills at least and I don't count bots into it, so I don't even chase them most of the time xD

Weirdiest thing because the dropped pallet pushes me back tho'…Well it was common a while ago that even perfect hits didn't stun you, now it stuns you more often than not even if it shouldn't because you're out of range. The only way I know this can happen is if someone fails a palette save, you can only be stunned as soon as the pick up ends, before that you're just pushed to a side.

you can't chase the first one u see, cuz you have to find the first repairing gen. You can't tunnel cuz OTC babysitter and DS. You can't play hit and run cuz it will trigger a perk that lets surv repair faster. You can't be slugging cuz Unbroken. You have to catch the toolbox one, you have to slug and hook one by one, you have to hit every M2 cuz you can't afford the time loss of missing one. You have to be very careful when you carrying up a slug, like disassembling a bomb, even tho you are the killer not them. You have to play like a precise computer as a human. While Your components benefit from all of your behavior, even hooking. Survs can easily counter any killer by gen rush, survs has three chances, they just need to annoy on the forum so BVHR will nurf the killer.
I must be sick that play killer in 2024 rather than play SWF.
To be honest it's pretty chill at the moment outside of funny swfs with eyrie of crows offerings. You can tunnel very easily even through ds 90% of the time (at least with chucky), slugs are only relevant to be carefull with in case of flashbangs, flashlights or palettestuns and even then it's okay most of the time. At least with chucky hit'n run is also very easy a lot of the time. You also don't have to get the toolbox, I use lethal most of the time and I just chase the nearest one I find in a good position because the first gen gets done anyways. You can miss m2 a relatively huge amount of the time but of course that depends on the genspeed.

Hugtech is already fixed, the orbs alone shouldn't be a problem because he can't moonwalk properly and the pounce has a too small hitbox for survivors and a too huge one for objects. Nothing on wolf form is too strong, I played against it and it's a joke most of the time.

You can definitely tell the kiddos are on this game. Also that’s another point to mention. You should probably add some verification to prove that the players are 18+. I loved this game but now, idk anymore. Literally there was a streamer (not mentioning them) that had a title on their stream as slugging in chaos mode. And literally bled everyone out. At 5 gens…. Dbd / behaviour / devs please make the QOL adjustments for us solo enjoyers. It’s just not fun anymore…..
I mean it's same like saying: "a team with background player and uncounterable flashbangs? I shouldn't have to run lightborn!" Or "a team with 80 gen-perks and the best toolboxes in the game? I shouldn't have to run regression!", well it's something you don't like but part of the game so you ether have to live with it OR you use perks against it.

Title.
The killer "holds" the spell, waits until you vault before using it. This causes you to be teleported back to the killer, the pallet is lifted up and blocked, causing you to get hit without anything you can do.
I don't remember it being this way until recently.
Did it get changed? Why is this considered intentional? Can someone explain please?
Well it was possible since release as far as I know. I wouldn't say it's completely without issues at the same time I'd rather have it like this than the game blocking the pick-up like breaks as wraith if you vaultspam. I'm not a fan of the game blocking interactions because someone else blocks it, it feels so bad to not being able to do anything aside canceling the power. (Of course I know it would be a little bit weird to break a palette or vault a window someone's already vaulting, but in vecnas case it's not as weird, so I'd like it to stay like this)

Very often in my games a killer might chase me for 10s, see i'm a strong player and then decide to ignore me for the rest of the match and kill all my team mates instead. This will result in my first hook being my last hook and me spending basically the whole game repairing gens watching my team go down like bowling pins and it's not very fun. I mean I just had a match on Coldwind farm for example, against a Chucky and he chased me for maybe 30s until I stunned him with a strong pallet and then he never chased me again until I was the last survivor. Not very fun.
My idea for the perk;
Growing power: Your contempt for the killer grows as they fail to kill you. Gain 3% bonus repair speed every 30s that you haven't been downed by the killer. Resets when you get downed.
This is also a good anti tunnel perk because if every survivor used this and the killer tunnelled one survivor for 3 minutes then the 3 non tunnelled survivors would repair gens 18% faster. I feel like there are perks similair to this with Bardic Inspiration and resilience but this would be more of a direct counter to a killer just ignoring good survivors.
So you want to force the killer to play inefficient? One of the things a killer has to learn is deciding who's best to chase, If you're so much better than the other ones that he doesn't even try to chase you it's simply a failure of the matchmaking. Your perk is simply punishing the killer for good decision-making (and hiding btw) without any limits with 1 minute 30 seconds already as strong as resilience (a perk that requires you to be injured), that's extremely easy to archive.
This perk in that form would mean that the survivors get a boost of 3% genspeed every 7.5 seconds basically because everyone would use it and with 4 survivors 1 second would equal 4 seconds (split on everyone) for this perk. That would make this game so much faster and killers would have to be buffed SO MUCH to come even close to the speed required to win.
