3 years without playing this game, 3 F years and when I try to play with my abilities obviously in a very bad state, I get what? People with 500h to 1000k hours against me... I'm now a baby killer and I don't a problem to admit that, all those years without playing hurt me a lot, I lose track of the survivor a lot of times, I don't know how to mind game properly and etc. And I keep match with survivors who have gen rush builds and know how to loop properly, because I don't know what I doing anymore, if that is the type of welcome that DBD have with new players... Man... I just gonna play another game. Playing against those players will not help me become better again, will just make me feel bad about this game and I'm not a player that seek win after win, I just want to make some points and LV up my killers.
O don't know... I think DBD kinda lose its shine, this game is a race of who is more fast to complete his object, but for the killer, if I make one mistake... That is, for people that returned after a long period or are new in the game, is not fun at all be matched against good players with meta builds, this is very sad, but I gonna give a try tomorrow, maybe with the knight I have a better experience with the guards helping me a little.
To be honest 500-1000k hours is pretty good to learn to play again, they are anything between pretty bad to okayish so you should have a good mix for the start. At some point you get 2-8k hours or even more and it's really stressful depending on how much they hate you regarded to perks and map-offerings xD

Why can't you just play chill in a LIMITED. GAME. MODE.
Why can't you just take a fun modifier for what it is. A fun modifier.
WHY. DO. YOU. HAVE. TO. DESTROY. EVERY. SINGLE. GAMEMODE. WITH. TOXICITY.
Depends on what you see as toxic, I personally just use any chance I can get. So if the survivors give the chance to tunnel, camp and slug I will absolutely do that.
My playstyle isn't against a specific person or against the people behind the survivors but just to win more if they give me the chance for that. That being said in lobbys with 3-4 flashlights or a map-offering I will play for camps and tunnels without them giving me the chance and just force it (but that should be expected if they play like this).

Just like last Chaos shuffle. I'm just happy there is no Tome to have to suffer again through this. Longer gens and BS perks against tunneling/camping/slugging killer. Yeah that's fun. Going back to killer ..at least it's playable
Where are the gens longer? As far as I've seen in over 11 matches they just aren't faster so normal time.
Nothing in this event is killer-sided, the only thing I can tell is that suddenly 80% of the survivors are just bad at looping and don't do gens at all. I've lost 3 out of 11 matches by now and 8 of them were just survivors going down in seconds and not doing gens at all, that can't even be because of maps because under them is eyrie of crows and garden of joy around 4 to 5 times.
Your perks are randomized if you got bad ones you were just unlucky: I had a match with predator, bloodhound, surge and brutal. I played chucky and 90% of the downs were with his power so basically 3 out 4 perks were worthless. (That being said I won that round because somehow survivors can't play anymore all of the sudden).

nothing can be worse no mither+selface or bloodhound+territorial imperative when other side has (eruption+ pain res in survivor match and woo+lithe in killer match)
I'm gonna be honest, I take 10 matches like this over a single one of lights out xD

Seriously, whats a fun to play wtih garbage perks when you opponent have full meta (doesnt matter if you killer or survivor the other side perks would be much better) and perks with anty sinergy with each other. I dont believe that i say this but please return Lights Out for 3d time instead of chaos shuffle
NO please, not again. There was never a worse thing than lights out, the concept of not seeing anything is not fun and it hurts my eyes after a while.
The only thing I'd accept would be just taking the no perks-, no addons-aspect from lights out maybe add bloodpoint-offerings but let map-offerings out of it and it's a fun mode at least for me.
-
Well the only thing (8 games in or something like that) is that most of the time the perks doesn't matter, as long as I get okay maps I can win against most survivors easily. I'm playing chucky at the moment and I lost 2 games from them I think, one case was ironworks of misery and the other one was garden of joy.

So I was in a match against 4 P100 Megs on HnL labs(Playingas Pinhead/Chatterer. My Add-ons were torture pillar and Iridescent configuration. With a stroke of stupid luck I find a purple glyph moving across my box near the stairs and naturally I grabbed it and chain hunt started. Then All 4 Megs DC and I get messages accusing me of cheating 😒. I Don't see how I cheated since I just happened to stumble upon it and idk how that warrants a DC from all 4 megs. I decided to finish the match(Bots are really dumb) and I Don't know whether to laugh because the PC megs accuse me a console player of cheating because of sheer dumb luck or what.(My Perks were Corrupt Intervention, Starstruck, Lightborn, and Awakened Instincts)
Wait till they find out you can predict where it is with a pretty high chance if you're good. Jokes aside, somehow the killer is always cheating, I also used an aimbot on deathsling and huntress apparently even tho that wouldn't do anything because they would probably straight up miss like that. Also I'm using wallhacks with bbq, floods of rate and glowing concuction (is it written like this? Don't know, I'm german) because they can't read how it seems xD

This isn't for you four stacks. You're abusing mics, and it doesn't change the REAL balance. You just cover for the broken mechanics, and your lack of skill with mics.
Too many broken ASF killers. You shouldn't need a four stack with headsets just to gen rush them to win.
TLDR: delete all killer teleports, and crippls.
Thanks.
How about not just genrushing at all but playing good in general? There are many games I saw that were just lost because they didn't play good in chase AND no one did gens at all, the biggest problem is matchmaking or better said the survivors in the round. Often there are 1-2 people good in chase and if they aren't chased they do gens, at the same time I find the other 2 crouching in some corner doing weird things.
If anyone in the round does what they should it's pretty balanced with most killers, depending on the map it's more in the direction of the survivors because the loops are just awful.
I mean what am I supposed to do on eyrie of crows with an m1-killer? You can literally run with me 2-4 rounds around a fence and then run straight to an loop near it and there's nothing I could do to speed that up (also you don't hear steps very well so chasing is even more fun), if everyone does that even people that can't loop are wasting ages. As if that wasn't enough this map is still huge even after the shrinkdown.
Well in the end it probably depends on who brings more broken stuff most of the time, so just do what everyone does and stack second-chance perks and 25 eyrie of crows offerings per day I guess xD
-
The poor boy already lost both scampers and is doomed to be a 4.4 m1-killer, he really doesn't need more nerfs. His cooldown is fine how it is but if it has to be nerfed for some unknown reason I wouldn't go highter than 12 seconds, maybe 14 if you really hate him.
-
@Stab91 said:
How to understand it? Everyone has abilities and he has several and they are all taken from other killers, have you run out of ideas or what? Remove or nerf it.
Why nerfing him? Dracula is far from being too strong:
Yes he is infact able to be a threat compared to some other killers, but it's not like you couldn't do anything. His hellfire is precise and has a relatively long chargetime with a sound cue. His pounce has a relatively long chargetime with a sound cue, the hitbox is huge for objects and a little bit to small for survivors arguably, outside of his pounce the wolf is a slightly faster m1-killer but that even makes him usable because he would be without it a m1 without the ability to mindgame. Lastly the bat is fast and has a relatively nice teleport, but it's not like it doesn't take skill, your still playing kind of a version of spirit.
And I agree with @Huge_Bush, stop using this format please, it's super annoying to read like this on the phone xD
-
@WolfyWood said:
Atp he feels worse to play against than pre-nerf Blight.
At least Blight's end the game fast, every game against Chucky for me so far has just been a cheesy slog win or lose.
I've also encountered so many Chucky's ragequitting after one bad play.
I feel like he could use some more nerfs.
Wasn't he nerfed enough? He already lost both forms of scamper, so now his scamper addons only work while dashing an that's worthless to a huge amount of the time. his cooldown was pretty high before it could go up to 12 maximum would be 14 everything else would make him too bad.

I see a lot of arguments about slugging is justified, camping, tunneling etc. Then I see counter arguments about flashlight saves, pallet saves, and certain perks that survivors use. Now while slugging is a valid playstyle and sometimes well warranted, it doesn't need to be used every game, and that's what's happening. Before a killer even feels out who they are playing against they go for a slug or tunnel. Killers use the excuse basekit unbreakable is not valid that survivors should carry it, but why don't killers bring lightborn if your problem is flashlights, etc. Iron grasp. Now I know survivors use crappy tactics to not get the hook and they do deserve a slug, but that's 1 out of 4. I don't think killer mains realize that they need to be outnumbered. That being said there is a shortage of survivors and will continue to be if certain playstyles keep up. I am not saying stop what your doing, I'm saying stop using slugging as a crutch. Not only that there are literally so many aura perks you can probably see what they are doing while playing the game.
PS those who slug when there are only 2, survivors aren't falling for it anymore.
The difference between the perks is that you as a team have 16 perkslots, you as a killer only 4. So yes you could use lightborn, but while lightborn takes away the chance you're getting saved (so only the chance of a timeloss) the survivors also gain a killer with less aura-, regression- or chase-ability. In conclusion: the survivors don't lose any time they wouldn't have otherwise but they also get more because of the killer that probably takes longer to chase you then or regress the gens.
Also to the slugging and tunneling: Often you don't have the time to see how good the survivors are, you can always go easier on them mid match, but you can't get preassure if you already lost it. That's why I always use any chance I get to preassure the survivors, yes sometimes it destroys them, but more often than not it's still a good match.
Also you already said why tunneling is so popular: the killer has to be outnumbered, and that's exactly why you want someone out as soon as possible before you lose too much gens. There's absolutely no reason at all to not do it at the moment, it just causes you to lose with how fast the gens are often.

Had the legion mad grid by any chance? Because it sounds very much like it, it freezes the bar for 4 seconds after every hit you teammates take.

Literally every single match I played tonight there was at least 1 angry survivor mouthing off post match. I even played survivor a few times to see if other killers had the same experience, turns out they did. It's unbelievable how many survivors get worked up post match over anything and everything. If your one of those salty survivors that tends to mouth off post match (you know who you are) please come up with something better than "touch grass" or "you only won because you tunneled" :)
I love people like this, it's so funny to see them rage even tho 90% of the mistakes made was by them.
I almost never search for the tunnel so if they have been tunneled by me it was them not hiding and or looping well. Camping, I give them that I do it pretty regulary but most of the time only if the hook is positioned good or I can get him second stage, so even then it's on them xD
Most fun people I remember are a russian guy that insulted me because I tunneled him on the worse variation of rpd (for killer) with hillbilly even tho he wanted to be chased and it was his own offering. The other one is a jeff that made himself unhookable at the top of ironworks of missery that I've bled out, he said "sad time where killers just let you bleed out". The last one is a meg with ds and unbreakable that gone down next to the hook intentionally and wanted to ds or use unbreakable to unhook, I've predicted it and got insulted because I've instantly downed her again xD

The amount of times Iv seen survivors give up because a hit shouldn’t have even touched them is substantially high. Killers with bad or good ping seem to be given priority over the server, every evening I get a hit which shouldn’t even reach me and I run on 30 ping. Why doesn’t the game take in account my position on the map and say that it shouldn’t hit? It needs to be more accurate like other games.
Well it's both sides, the amount of people I've hit with a hatchet, got the hit sound and them just running normally is awful xD
Same with palette-hits that are completely senseless nowdays, I've seen people that stunned me half a second after the hit and it got rejected (I've had a ping of 30 btw, isn't insane but it's okay enough so that shouldn't happen) xD
generally it gets worse to play killer at very close hits the better your ping is, while it gets better to avoid very close hits as a survivor with better ping.

I see a lot of people go back, and forth, and I'm here to tell you don't post your counter opinion, because it's just wrong.
Dracula can turn to a bat, and speed check every gen.
Dracula can turn to a wolf after hitting you, and you can NEVER hide. It's not possible.
Dracula flame pillars. Just need REMOVED. Nothing worse than a killer shooting a 20 meter long attack that's animation doesn't fit the hitbox, and goes THROUGH the only survivor defense mechanisms. Walls/vaults.
Really? I honestly think DE did great with the new graphics, but the new killers are absolute BS.
I'm a ghost face main, so don't get me started on I don't play killer.
I can destroy sweaty teams with ghost, and he has NO unique catch mechanics.
TLDR: Killers don't need fkn teleports AT ALL, (Except OG hag/nurse because there's is arguably clunky). They do not need the ability to attack over vaults/pallets because those exist for the survive to NOT GET HIT, and they definitely do not need the ability to run so fast there is no chase.
That's the point of the game!
While the bat is good movement it's actually better used in chase because outside of it hiding from it is so easy if you're attentive as survivor. So yes you could get quickly from gen to gen, but as long as everyone hides it's not really that usefull.
The wolf can't mindgame probably because he can't walk backwards like normal and yes you can hide from it because you have to run to spawn the orbs (at least that's what I think based on playing him), so you just walk and they don't spawn.
Draculas attack is 8 meters first of all. Also it does NOT go through walls, only low to midhigh loops and gaps if they are big enough. The hitbox by hellfire is very precise, yes they can ran into it after the initial attack and still get dmg, but the hitbox itself is so precise that I missed often by 1 pixel even tho it looked like a hit and also the killer missed me so often because of the hitbox. Also attacks through palettes and windows are absolutely not unique to him a lot of killers can do that, although I have to say hellfire is pretty good at hitting them because it's almost instant.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3803642#Comment_3803642
The PROBLEM with what you're saying is a fundamental misunderstanding.
He doesn't STAY in any modes!
He goes bat to fast travel. Swaps to drac to see you. Either melees, or flame pillars (idc what you say this is a 100% free hit if they have any skill at all, broken broken trash skill). Then if you manage to boost away, wolf to find you, and back to drac for a melee, or fireblast.
Also the wolf can lunge through pallets making them worthless in a chase.
HOW TF AM I A D TIER KILLER. I used a harder killer than you, and still succeed.
If you crutch on the new killers you're bad, and you being bad doesn't make them mechanically not over powered ASF.
Don't ever tell a bloody ghost face I'm a bad killer.
Try chasing without teleports, clones, or shooting through walls.
What is the "the wolf can lunge through palettes" even supposed to mean?
If you mean the pounce: it's completely worthless, do you know those pixel perfect hits you can miss with wesker? That's the wolf but on crack, his collision for objects is way to big and the hitbox for survivor super precise at the same time, so if the survivor is good he will most like never get hit by it on loops.
The only one missunderstanding anything here are you, nothing you told here is correct. Dracula isn't bad but you're thinking he's so much better than he actually is. I played him a lot since release and played against people between 500-10000 hours, he's good but he is by far not overpowered or something (well I do give you that the cooldown for switching should be reverted to 5, but other than that he's fine).

I'm just curious if it's just a side effect of how the game was made or if it was by design. It's been a few years but I've returned to the game in 2024. The movement feels different and I've watched some videos to see how it's been altered.
When I play Killer. If a Survivor jukes me to the side. At the end of my lunge it's easy to just swipe my mouse left or right to get an easy hit. I don't feel punished for committing to a direction because I know I can just easily 180 and it's 9.99/10 a hit. I don't know it just kinda feels wrong on some level, does anyone know what I mean? Like it feels cheeky haha.
Even when playing Survivor I feel like you can tell the difference between a PC or Console player (mind you some use controller on PC). I'll fake a window they sing but I juke to the side and away from them but in those final frames they can just 180 and automatically hit me with the final frames of the lunge.
Of course if it's a design of the game then it's to be used, but even as Killer I just feel like swings are not punished. If I commit to the window then I commit to the window and if the Survivor jukes me then why should they still be punished? I don't understand because even in games like Mordhau. If you swing your camera to fast the hit wont register. There are ranges for attacks. I don't see why a Killers attack hitreg can't be limited to 180 left to right. If they to a 180 front to back it shouldn't register a hit. I don't know maybe it's an unpopular opinion. It just looks weird. Mind you watching a 360 looks weird too lmao.
I don't see the issue with making committed swings punishing. I know people have the 360s but low-mid mmr at least in all my matches on both sides… I rarely come across 360s. People just loop and try to juke by faking windows and pallets.
Like I said, maybe it's an unpopular opinion but it just feels cheap. I don't blame Killers for playing the game as design, but doesn't anyone else kind of feel where I am coming from? How do you deal with it or play around it? If it's a part of the game I'd like to learn how to avoid being 180'd all the time.
Nope I don't understand you at all, I rather don't see why I should be punished even tho I can still hit it, it's in the duration and range of my attack so of course I should be able to hit it. Of course it looks funny because it's in the last frames, but it really wouldn't make sense if it didn't hit because the hitbox is still there and therefore the hit didn't end yet.
You also can't and shouldn't be able to dodge it, you're in range and you didn't get away fast enough, so I get the hit.

just wanted to ask if there are ways of getting more bloodpoints per match that I am unaware of…
the ones I am aware of are as follows:
1- bloodpoint offerings (75-100% for certain categories or all)
2- beast of prey (25/40/75% for hunter category)
3- hex: thrill of the hunt (10-50% for hunter category)
4- Distressing (100% for deviousness category)
am I missing something or is that just the grind of the game?
You could also use meme-addons on certain killers, they usually give you a huge disadvantage but they give you 100% bonus bloodpoints for using your power. (Btw the points are just doubled ingame, so with speed-limiter on bubba let's say you'd get 500 points without the addon for a hit, now you get 1000. I don't know the true numbers at the moment, but that's how it works as far as I know).

I think it would be an enormous improvement that would help immensely with both perceived fairness and frustration/tilt against the people we're matched against, but with two problems.
-Scratched Mirror Myers is dead if he can't bring an indoor map. And that man deserves to thrive. It's Lights Out mode, but actually fun. Most of the time, killers bringing map offerings to synergize with builds is obnoxious - Nurse on Midwich, impossible skill check Doctor on the Game - but Myers needs the map guarantee to have a fair match.
-Outbreak Breakout achievement is now an order of magnitude worse than it already is.
With the current state of map balance, pregame map selection is fine as long as all five players agree on the map. (Add laugh track here.)
Honestly… there's times I find myself entering a game with a hostile mindset against a team that ends up being perfectly inoffensive, but I hit the ground in a three-point crouch and rained bloody retribution because I saw a Badham or RPD offering and got PTSD, and the 'nam flashbacks only start to wear off when I realize I've pasted some clueless solos at four gens left. And as survivor, when I see the killer burn a Midwich offering, I instantly dread whatever the game is going to offer. And I know I'm not alone in this. There's so much built-up abuse that it causes people to interpret map offerings as an attack by the other side. Not a marker of a healthy game mechanic.
Well I'd say they could fix the myers addon by giving his addon a much higher chance for indoor-maps basekit, but it's something that bhvr probably wouldn't do xD

I think this also screams how old Dead by Daylight functioned when the game had like 3 maps in the entire circulation of the game, most of which being difference variations of themselves anyways. Ironically, these early offerings aren't enabled anymore for matchmaking. And nowadays, I think we can all agree map offerings are used for an advantage of the survivor side for the majority of the time, particularly SWF groups that are very familiar with that map and will make it so you have a rough time unless you a killer suitable of dealing with them and have the skills required. Exceptions obviously fall when discussing the opportunity of using meme or fun builds, such as Scratch Mirror Myers, Midwich as Nurse or survivor styled achievements on maps, some examples like this. But for the majority of the time, it's for survivors getting an advantage. This is simply not fair. And it's easy to spot from a miles away from the lobby, and ironically I've just came out a game and burned a Sacrificial Ward and called me all sorts in the end game chat. They insisted I was boring to play against as I won being not being took to Autohaven Weckers against a P400 group, but isn't it boring for the killer to have to play against group like these that abuse offerings like this to get the upper hand and take advantage of such offering? Reasons why this unfair, they are specifically taking you to a map that is going to be survivor sided and that they are familiar with, in terms of the RNG especially. Very few maps they're gonna choose will benefit the killer, as us as the killer have 4 other survivors to compete against if we want a map we want to go on and or if we use a Sacrificial Ward which is ignored as they bring in 4 map offerings. Just getting bit tired of just seeing constantly in my matchmaking groups taking me to Garden of Joy, AutoHaven, MacMillian, or Coldwind. I'm getting tired of it as I'm preparing for the sweatiest match of my life against people that want to make you upset and question yourself as a killer player.
I'm all for it, just make them to something else, I liked the version I've read were they reduce the chance of this map instead of giving it a higher one.
I'm very sorry for scratchmirror myers and any other special killer-build that needs a specific map to work, but I really hate being forced on eyrie of crows at least a few times a day, I can't stand this map anymore it's just so awful to play on as killer. Even if I win on this map it just doesn't feel good, it feels so increadible exhausting to play on it.

It does only trigger on hooks and distortion still counters it if it's your only aura perk, besides that there's basekit counterplay like lockers and it even has a minimal range of 40 meters that's outside of movement-killers quite a bit to walk until you're in the chase.

Idc about any killer buff or whatever, i just want ALL the old perks for survivors, and MORE VAULT SPEED FOR THEM.
An update for the validation hits.
More buffs for survivors in chase, but nerfing all the generator perks/items.
Just MAKE THE GAME MORE CASUAL with more interaction btw both roles instead of just getting hit or sabo the other role, IM SICK of these killers having literally no personality, like they're just a bunch of bots having fun just bcs you're not having fun. And finally, im just letting out all i have bcs i just got into my ONLY TWO MATCHES OF THE DAY, and it was first A PAIN RES POP USER, and later a LEGION WITH TRAIL OF TORMENT COULROPHOBIA THANATOPHOBIA that was sluggin me JUST BCS HE WANTED TO JUMPSCARED ANOTHER SURVIVOR.

The only way you could ever get old dh back is by giving killers old moris back, otherwise forget it. DH came straight up from hell, this perk should never return under any circumstances xD

If Distortion is getting nerfed, a perk that has CHARGES mainly because it can stop all aura reading, then why is lightborn that has NO charges can permanently prevent flashlights, firecrackers and blast mine? Pretty sure it affects the Haddie perk that requires the killer to be blinded in order to afflict blindness to the killer.
What is this double standard? This is the exact same situation with Weave + Franklin, permanent aura reading yet Object of Obsession was nerfed because of that? A combo that is not counterable in solo queue due to lack of communications should hvae been a priority, you have to go next because of this combo, now that distortion has been nerfed and aura readings were buffed, solo queue is going to be entirely unplayable. You are also pushing casual players away by doing this.
How come every reasoning doesn't apply to killers? Why are specific playstyles being forced upon players? You cannot keep lightborn in its state when you give that reasoning for the distortion nerf. I don't use flashlights, I am simply pointing out the hypocrisy. I haven't played this game for nearly a month for a reason, and that is because solo queue is unplayable but I have checked the updates, and I am for sure not going to reinstall the game.
I want to know why solo players are being punished for playing the game properly yet balancing the game around SWF using third party softwares? Killers complain survivors go next, I've seen them complain more than other survivors complain, as what a killer main says 'my fun is not your priority. Go on every social media, killers trashing survivors for going next, tell me another PVP game where the opponent complains for an EZ win. Giving one side this much power to make the other side miserable is what is going to kill this game.Do you get blind by flashbangs while looking in a perfectly straight angle to a wall because survivor can just run into you and drop it below you? If the awnser is no then you got your awnser why it wasn't nerfed.

Everytime I play her and kill survivors I get hate mail from people shaming me for playing a "Overpowered Killer". If anything the hag is just meh though. I Don't camp with hag , I just defend my Devour Hope totem and it just snowballs to the point I kill every survivor so I'm Really confused.
Hag isn't and was never overpowered:
she has increadible camping potential, outside of that she has to pray that someone runs into her traps for her to be getting hits in any way, you shouldn't go down against a m1 4.4 killer normally. Of course that's a little bit unrealistic, she can still hit you with mindgames, but generally she's way to easy to loop if you aren't in her web.
In the end she's probably just awful to play against for many players in soloq and a joke for swfs xD

Wasn't this tried at least once before and it was basically universally hated?
Different kind before you could down all 4 survivors and all of them get morried instantly. Now you can only morri the last person xD

I think people just hate it because they can't play it
What? I lost exactly 1 single game in 10 rounds with different killers, I still don't like it. The concept of not seeing anything is just insanely boring and it hurts my eyes if I play it for longer.

I kind of feel like these are extremely outdated and serve no purpose other than more unneeded slowdown for killers.
Even after breaking them they're rarely super rewarding; breaking the two walls in the main building of Glenvale is basically required and even then it still remains the best loop in the map. Breaking walls should be a reward, not a mandatory side objective killers have to do at the start of a match.
This gets me to thinking: should breakable walls be removed entirely, or could survivors perhaps also be given a side objective that rewards them in the form of needing to "set up" certain vault locations or pallets before they become usable? Just like breakable walls, this wouldn't be every pallet or vault location on the map, but only a small handful that survivors know they need to seek out if they'd like to use them later rather than just beelining for gens.
I mean it's probably meant as a kind of tactical aspect. In reality it's just learning which wall to always break and maybe a few in some cases. It isn't a really interessting concept because you always break the same walls and the other ones are basically not even worth looking at.

He’s talking about general auto aim. Not singularities bio pod if that’s what you mean.
There is no way to turn it off. Sadly. I wish there was. It ruins so many hits that would’ve actually hit. There isn't? I was so sure there is actually an option to deactivate it xD

There are quite a few of players in DBD who intentionally ruin the gameplay for others (for example, they kill themselves on the hook at the very beginning of the game, leaving their teammates no chance to win).
Either they simply do nothing, or deliberately ruin the game for others.
Is it possible to introduce a quick vote system for survivors to kick a player from the game?
That is, for example, so that any survivor, once per game, would activate the quick vote system by pressing the 5 button and choosing one of the 3 players to kick him out.
And the other players will have a small offer: "press 3 to kick player "Nick-name" or press 4 to refusal".
A total of 12 seconds are given from the beginning of the vote, and while it is announced, no one can try to jump off the hook.No that would be a horrible idea on any game this system exists there are new players that just get kicked for playing the best of their abilities but bad in difference to the other players. They shouldn't have to have the fear they get kicked for nothing, survivor is hard enough to learn without that preassure.

Its just straight up an absolutely horrible experience. I cant even be constructive.
And why cant we do the Tome Challenges in the normal mode, Why do you HAVE to lock them behind this awful mode?I don't think they have to apologize, some people surely have fun. But I agree personally that it's horrible, I just don't find the concept of not seeing anything and constant smoke that makes my eyes tear up in any way fun xD

Both of these killers are usually contested for the spot of 3rd best, but who do you think is?
I think spirit is played right stronger than mastermind and it's mechanicaly easier, you just have to get good at tracking survivors and don't learn to flick or get a 8 frame window or what insane window you have for hugtechs. Also it doesn't matter on which fps you play in difference to wesker. Of course that opinion is only for me personally and on the things I know, I don't main any of the 2 mentioned.

I am a gimmicky player honestly and I’d have no objection if someone like you wiped the floor with me, I would never blame you or get salty at you for going all out (and believe it or not, even with my gimmicky build (for the people, boon exponentia, plot twist, mirrored illusion) I try my best to do well and support the team objective as much as possible).
Nothing wrong with even camping or tunnelling or whatever because these are tools in the game whether I like or agree with them or not. It’s the (and I know this doesn’t apply to everyone) whole concept of being able to punish someone for things we like or dislike being only applied one way that can cause frustration.
The solution is for sure not easy and may not even be possible in some of most cases but anything that can bridge the gap is progress.
No two people may ever agree on an approach but I respect someone’s feelings and motivations nonetheless. usually that is always my position whenever I read forum posts and opinions
Well there are quite a few people that think of it as a party game where no one is allowed to play for wins. I was insulted yesterday as demogorgon by 2 kates(or sables? Don't remember) because they just wanted to meme but I just killed them because I don't want to have meme-matches, they chose to use gimmick-builds themself and lost because of it and then got salty because I actually wanted to kill them.
That was in no shape or form meant against gimmick-builds in general or you it's just meant for people that use them and almost try to force the killer to also meme around then.
I personally don't see tunneling or camping as a thing against someone specifically, I just take who I get mostly. Of course if the survivors annoy me it could be that I choose them intentionally to have my piece for the rest of the match, but it's not meant as a attack against anyone. That's also my way of thinking if I play survivor, I don't have anything against it if I get tunneled or camped I understand that the killer just wants to get someone out and that he'll want me out as quickly as possible if I loop him for ages or I annoy him. Most people in my experience in the contrast see it as an attack against them and that's just wrong a lot of the times I think, that's sadly a problem they'd have to fix themself and most of them probably won't work on that. So that's a really big problem that's really hard to fix and a lot of misunderstanding.

yes absolutely! I firmly believe this isn’t a ‘right or wrong’ thing - we all have our own/collective sense of justice and motivations. Sadly many people can and do get caught in the crossfire as a consequence so my wider wish is for the game to be as close enough to ideal for all parties. For sure that may be impossible and is subjective but hopefully!
I don't think that's really possible alone because of the fact there are people that find using gimmick-builds fun and they'll probably lose and then there are people like me that find winning mostly fun. Bhvr would have to decide which way they want to go and balance it that way, if they don't do that both parties will probably always fight.
Well let's see what they do, they did pretty interessting things in the last 2-3 years so maybe they'll actually change anything big enough to fix that issue.

Thank you all for your replies - I totally agree and understand all your comments. The concept of ‘FairPlay’ and a ‘crossing’ of it can understandably justify retribution (not saying I would personally do so but I can understand as a concept).
What dismays me is that there are these tools on one side to ‘punish’ the other but not the other way round. You could of course say ‘well become a great looper and show a toxic killer what’s what!’ Or ‘use x,y,z perk or strategy’, but for the average soloQ survivor, this may be easier said than done.
The issue is that a killer who perceives a slight or insult for any of the reasons above (or even just to be intentionally griefing) and wants to punish one or all, they have at the very base, a set of tools to do so. Whether to all or at least one (in most cases). For a survivor, how would they ‘punish’ a killer for stuff they don’t like? (Other than bm-ing which is just going to perpetuate the cycle of hate; and of course, having the supreme skill and right perk choices to counteract - but even then for how long? If someone wants to slug or tunnel you out, they will).
Well I wouldn't say myself that I punish them directly, I just use every chance I can get more often than not. So if the team as a whole gives me the chance to end the game quickly I will probably do that, of course I'm more likely to do that if I'm getting annoyed before because I don't want to play this round longer than I have to.
The only thing I punish directly are people with power struggle and or boil over by slugging them to death if I don't get another chance to kill them because they make themself unhookable. But those people should expect that. (Well they are usually pretty insulted by that, but what exactly did they expect? xD)
(That all being said, I'm for sure not the best example for doing anything against toxicity. I tunnel and camp in any situation I can do it without losing anything no matter how strong the survivors are, I just don't force anything. I also have to say I played perfectly fair at the start and started to play like that because I was insulted often even tho I only lost because I played fair. That part is just for myself and you to make the point that I'm also not playing perfectly nice and to explain why).

I’ve heard about the infamous survivor rule book that everyone talks about but I have noticed a few things in endgame chat exchanges between killers and survivors (which to be fair, has surprisingly rarely ever been toxic from my own experience).
I’ve noticed this on many occasions but only posting because yesterday I saw quite a few in quick succession and it stood out.
In soloQ, had a few killers who slugged and bled out and the endgame exchange between some of the survivors and killers: (these are across different games)
1: some killers said they didn’t like that survivors had flashlight in lobby so they were gonna tunnel and slug
2: killer said they didn’t like 3 toolboxes (none had bnp) so they did it to counter genrush
3: they saw a few players with the same character so presumed it was a swf so they played ‘sweaty’ (not my words)
4. Someone did a sabo in the game so they decided to slug everyone
5. Someone used blasting so they wanted revenge on the team
6. Someone hit them with two pallets so it was revenge
7. Someone self-unhooked so they consider it unfair and so tunneled them
8. One said they needed it for a challenge
9. One killer stated they disliked that there was a map offering
10. One said they saw medkits and didn’t want people to heal up so slugging was easier
11. One said they didn’t like someone using dead hard so went after them after that
12. Several said they felt survivors were being gen-rushed (in some matches this was at 4 gens)
It was like a roll call of things killers don’t like and I’ve seen it echoed at times in the forums. I’m not someone that wants to create drama so please do not consider this a killer bashing post.
I just find it very similar to the concept of a ‘survivor rulebook’. The fact that killers can tunnel and slug as a means of ‘punishment’ and remove agency from others in their toolkit is a little dismaying. My point is not to discredit killers or their motivations or the rights or wrongs of any play style or the above - but it seems there are two rule books. What exactly is considered inoffensive play for killers?
Well in my case it's faster to tell you what I don't like:
I don't like map-offerings at all, not on my or the survivors side. I don't have a problem with getting bad maps, but I don't like to be forced sometimes 3-5 rounds to play horrible maps like badham, eyries, garden of joy. Again I don't have a problem getting them by rng, I just don't like to be forced to get them.
Flashlights with background player, and with that I don't mean people that occasionally save if they're near the chased survivor but people that literally don't do anything at all besides following me to save people. They are increadible worthless in most rounds for the survivors especially if they're bad and they just annoy me for no reason at all. I'd say I kill them quickly, but often they stack around 89 millionen second-chance perks on each other. Of course that point just gets worse the more flashlights there are, but it can also be horrible with just 1 xD
Flashbangs with background player, same as flashlights but it's worse because you can for some reason flashbang-save without any counterplay against walls, the lack of any reliable counterplay besides slugging makes them horrible to play against.
At last it's people being intentionally arrogant, annoying or just bad losers, they are often down so quickly for the fact that they were so confident before and it just hurts me to play against people like that. I don't know against what killer those people played before but i'd say very bad ones, otherwise they wouldn't think they are the best survivors ever seen. I have to admit I like the endgame-chats and comments from that people, they are often so offended that I killed them. Well they are still annoying xD
In conclusion People that just play normally are perfectly fine, I just hate people that annoy me for no reason and people that somehow think they're the best even tho they are pretty bad xD

They react if you make a loud sound in their range, so if you fast vault, miss a skillcheck and so on he will hear you. Not sure if this also counts for screams.
