Don't view as an issue like that since it's their only job. But I have always thought of a 5% decrease on running speed if a survivor is injured. So it could motive survivors to heal up thus taking time. Either survivors heal up or risk running slower during a chase. it would help the killer, if the survivor is injured, it would help them end the chase quicker.
I love this idea since it'll synergize with perks like Resilience and This is Not Happening because it's basically encouraging survivors to either bring these perks in or waste time healing as you said. You never know, this change could potentially switch up the current META a bit, which is always good.

I'm obviously going to pick Kate because she's a beautiful songbird. Waiting for the day till we can hear her sing.
Though I'd say the runners up are Dweet & David, two polar opposites. Gotta have variety, right?

Just give us the cakes, the sweet sweet beautiful BP cakes. I NEED TO GRIND!!

It seems like I get more keys & rare items due to the bug than I would if I used a chest build. Unbelievable.

I actually think it was just a glitch on my screen cause everyone else could interact with the locker like normal. I could see the "enter locker" text but I couldn't actually interact with the locker as a survivor but I know the killer had checked that locker at least once in that match.
As for the Dweet, unfortunately as you can see from the profile pics, he didn't make it :(

probably because you killed him

How is it bad on PS5?
I thought the FPS were really smooth there for the most part.
For the most part, the PS5 runs DBD at 60 and it feels butter smooth, but unfortunately we still have drops from things like Bloodlust and Dead Hard outta nowhere.
I wouldn't say it's NEARLY as common as old gens but when you're paying $500 for a new console & promised optimization from the devs, you're bound to feel a bit ripped off.

You should see last gen console (PS4,Xbox,Switch) then.
We get frame Drops like these AND screen freezes ALL the time.
The FPS drop OP showed is absolutely nothing in comparison
I've played on PS4 for 2 years and it was absolutely miserable. Switched to PS5 and it's still bad. Obviously we are going to complain.
-
I really like this idea because it'll add more depth to the survivors even if it's just by a little bit.
The argument that the passive strengths would be useless is a pointless one for the reason being that is literally the point. You don't want it to be OP but instead just a small buff.
-
I've definitely had my fair share of keys this past couple of weeks considering they're more likely to be in chests now.
Not the best feeling when you're trying to do an adept and have everything lined up in your favor just to get robbed of your hard work because of a key.
-
If I knew it was a console Nurse from the start of the game, I'd definitely be over-confident but since there's a chance it's a good PC Nurse, I tend to be cautious. I've had my fair share of god-tier slugging Nurses..
-
Unforgettable by Godsmack
Definitely hard to pick from. Anyways I'll definitely have to listen to this playlist, kudos!
-
Got a message the other day from a teammate trashing me for supposedly farming him when I had BT & an exit gate at the ready close-by.
It's funny because if I would've just left him there, I'm sure he would've still messaged me with salt. Can't please everyone I guess.
I've personally never went out of my way to send an angry PM, especially since I'm on console. Even if they were an immersed POS that did nothing the entire game, I find it extremely immature.
-
As if Spirit wasn't already a problem.
-
Imagine every killer has their own theme and the music in the background is their soundtrack. That honestly sounds too good to be true which is probably why it isn't.
-
I'm almost positive I would quit. I'm sorry but the thought of 1k hours as well as over $100 spent is just an insane amount of time and money to lose. Maybe if I took a huge break, I'd come back.
With that being said, if it makes you feel any better, I'm in the same boat as you my friend. My PC build should be finished in a few weeks but since I play on console and there's no cross-progression, I'm screwed.
-
Depends on what "one-hit down" you're referring to.
Iri Head? NOED? Sure, I can see why you're frustrated.
Bubba? Starstruck? There are obvious counters for these perks & killers that you could easily learn.
-
Considering I run chest-builds often, I cannot resist a chest after I've seen it. There's been many times where I've gotten downed because I was greedy on trying to open it in time.
Despite this, I always feel like I'm being an unproductive POS if I choose a chest over a gen. Won't stop me though.
-
Mmk, I'll give this a go.
1. Going to be completely honest here and say I haven't experienced it much on either side. Either way, it should've been fixed within the same day it was announced considering its a literal game-breaking bug lol
2. Haven't gotten camped at all really (though my teammates always do) & tunneling hasn't been much of an issue for me. I could tell tunneling has risen a bit but I don't think it's crazy bad.
3. I win about 90% of my matches as survivor through exit-gates. Sometimes we don't get everybody out but it's usually about 3 of us escaping on average (red ranks).
4. Haven't noticed a difference in killer behavior in terms of headshaking & hitting on hook, although slugging has been a bit more common.
5. I wouldn't necessarily say I encounter "slugging builds" more often but rather slugging in general, as mentioned in my previous response.
6. Killers don't tunnel me often so not much, although when they do the perk isn't useless as many people say post-nerf.

Which he doesn't, actually. But my babe is a smol boi, and his weapon is short, so his lunge looks weird. But it is the same as every killer.
Mhm, I know. Though I will say it seems like people who play Freddy always seem to have the worst ping in my experience so there's that.
-
Keep me entertained, that's it.
If you're able to make me laugh and feel good whether it's because of your personality, commentary or gameplay, I'll more then likely end up coming back to watch more content.
-
Loops that directly lead into other loops (ex. TL into shack vault & vise versa)
-
I was debating on putting Freddy in the best tier because I never play against him & when I do it's usually pretty fun other than the ridiculous lunge he almost always seems to have.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
How would he work tho? Just don't look at him and he can't kill u.
I'd imagine the more you look at him, the faster he gets. The idea of this is to either speed him up by looking behind you or taking the chance of not knowing what direction he's going when looping.
-
This list tends to fluctuate but right now I'd say it's pretty accurate.
-
I decided to buy DBD for both myself and a friend since Friday The 13th was dying more and more everyday which led to my first match on Haddonfield as Meghead. It was against a Clown and I believe I died that match because I had no idea what I was doing.
I just remember genuinely being scared, running around with a smile plastered on my face while screaming in horror for my friend to come help me. The good ol' days.
-
Oni - Minotaur - Nurses, Sloppy, BBQ & PGTW
This is my regular build which actively discourages healing against Oni as well as provide gen defense & directions as to where to go. Usually paired with Splintered Hull & Bloody Sash.
-
Every killer has a counter. Learn them before you come whining to the forums.

The only real "nerf" was moris. But that gave you an unrealistically broken edge. Keys I agree with. I would personally even remove the hatch altogether and make it only spawn IF you contributed a % to repairing. You crouched all game? You get nothing. Die.
Ruin + Undying was basically way too annoying and it god nerfed deservedly so.
It was annoying because it actually forced survivors to do a secondary objective -- something that has been requested for ages now. Not to mention, it actually gave the killer a chance at active gen regression.
Now if we compare that to DS which was 60 seconds of God-mode, usually punishing killers that weren't tunneling, you'd see how drastic the difference is.
-
After seeing this video:
https://youtu.be/BjaKeGYNbas...I'm honestly sold on Resident Evil. People might want Nemesis more, but god damn is this bad*ss.
...though I still stand by Slenderman being an amazing idea. I love the concept of the more you look at him, the faster he gets.
-
Killer has always been a miserable role to play & when the devs finally start to balance survivors out, you complain. Infact, there's so much more that they haven't done yet because survivors always seem to be put first.
Need an example? Undying got nerfed in a few months compared to DS which took YEARS. Let me give you another one: Moris, the offering that gave killers unfair kills got nerfed while keys, which give unfair escapes to survivors is STILL not nerfed.
You need to wake up.

Watch some gameplay and see for yourself man. I personally find it fun. Whether that's because it's actually good or simply be sure it's something actually different to DbD I don't know yet. It's a little rough around the edges too. I enjoy the actual fighting between the survivor and killer though, probably my favourite part of the game because it turns into this footsies/spacing game that can be pretty fun, and it's gonna be the biggest indicator of someone's actual skill because you can definitely get really good at it. It's just that nobody actually is good at these mindgames yet, at least the people I've run into aren't.
Thanks for the reply man, I plan on going in with low expectations because I know it's still early access.

I was critical at first, but saw some gameplay and tried it out. It's not as fun and addicting as when I first started playing DbD, but it's still a good and fun game. I play a lot of both roles and enjoy both equally, even though a good SWF is not fun to go against, at all.
I believe you can fight back against the killer just like in Friday The 13th right? In that case, my god does that sound awful against a SWF.
It's dirt cheap though so I do plan on trying it out!

It doesn't look appealing to me but you should watch some gameplays on YT.
See if you like it.You can always refund it if you don't like it.But a lot of people say that its promising.
Actually i want this game to succeed so DBD devs can get their crap together.
The thing is people always hype these games up then they die in a month.
I completely agree as the same thing happened to Fall Guys and Among Us.
It's honestly a shame that DBD has little-to-no competition, so I might just try this game out to have some sort of variety.

Well you can let other survivors heals you or you can start run for protect DS. That will survivor's choice.
Just my 2 cents as to why the devs thought that was a good idea.
-
If someone unhooks you with We'll Make It and the killer isn't camping, you're most likely going to get healed before the killer shows up to potentionally tunnel you whether you're healed or not.
-
Plunderers Instinct, Ace in the Hole, Dead Hard & Borrowed Time
I personally like how this is half survival build & half meme build. Free items are free items y'know!

I do think you two are overlooking how annoying it is for Survivors to all spawn on 4 different gens, but I do see where you're coming from. I find more fun in the interaction with the other side rather than finding who/where they are, so I don't think it's an important element for fun or anxiousness.
The true anxiousness for me comes after I find out who the Killer is, but if they're a stealth Killer, looking out for them constantly or even trying to figure out where they are while in a chase.
Of course it can be frustrating for survivors to spawn separately, but so is spawning in the killers terror radius as I mentioned. It's honestly a gamble and I personally think the payoff is better than not since every start of the game doesn't start the same way.
Though I do understand that some people don't care for it, so I understand where you're coming from.
-
Oh man.. definitely Oni. The dude is huge and without a doubt wouldn't have any mercy.
Runners-up are Deathslinger & Doc because you aren't getting a painless death with him.
-
I don't think I went against any killer other than Trickster the first 2 days of release, but after that I'd say it became less and less common. Haven't had one all day yesterday and today so there's that.
I guess people got tired of losing with him lmao
-
I personally think the spawns in this game are unique due to the fact that they're for the most part randomized, although I do wish I didn't spawn in the killers literal terror radius sometimes.
-
One time I was in a match where the entire team including myself worked really hard to get to 1 gen because the killer would constantly come back. I'm pretty sure I cleansed all totems as well as had some long chases. I knew I was going to 2-pip and felt proud that match.
..that was until the Laurie randomly decided to hook up with the killer, lead him to every single one of us and end the game in his favor. Are you kidding me? There was one gen left, you were that impatient?
Selling out your teammates is definitely a d*ck move which can be seen above, although I will say when it comes to actually farming with the entire team instead of just one person, it's different. If someone brought BPS and everyone decided to party with the killer, they shouldn't get banned for that.
-
Godzilla KOTM is my favorite movie & I absolutely loved the action despite the sometimes frustrating humans.
I also haven't seen Godzilla vs Kong because of Covid but I honestly might just throw in the towel and go anyways.. or watch it on HBO although that wouldn't be nearly as good.
