Not everyone wants the rework.the vast majority do want the rework and that is why they are doing it though.
I don't see a vast majority. Quite a lot of threads pop up explaining how Freddy is actually good and a lot of people jump in to agree. I personally know many people who don't think he needs a rework. It's only a very loud and obnoxious minority who is demanding a rework without actually learning to play Freddy. Besides, even if Freddy was weak, it doesn't necessarily means he needs a rework - just a buff, and a lot of people hold that position as well. I'm okay with the devs being vague about the rework because it probably means it's never going to happen.
keep in mind that the Devs have Stats behind everything that they do. so they can see how many people play every killer and how often everyone dc from killers and so on. so this leads me to believe if they have the stats that back freddy being bad and people not playing him as much that is why you have a re-work in the works. and you say you know many that like it and I can say that I know just as many or more that disagree with your statement so it really just comes down to facts that we do not possess.
There's this and there's also that some people can be good at things others are not. Like Tyde says about Hag, hsays you can be good at Hag but Hag sucks. Now he's wrong about Hag of course but the statement itself is what I'm trying to say. I'm excited for the rework.

Mirror Myers is now a permanent alternate ability instead of addons. Can you hear the angry mob with pitchforks and torches
Yeah those are bad examples, if you think this is a stupid idea just say it, I'm tired of people looking at my ideas and not saying anything meaningful.
-
Your Torments are especially cool, it's like normal Terror Radius perks but with a more powerful twist that lasts after you're gone. The effects you have are powerful yet simple, the one that turns items against the user is interesting, I was going to say that the Survivor can always abandon their item but no one does that, they're stupid and pick up their items immediatley after being hit with Franklin's Demise lol My only gripe about them is that maybe 30 seconds is too long for it to take effect? Maybe it's not? I personally have a hard time finding Survivors so I don't know how often they're within my TR, once I find them they're dead but I need to find them first so maybe my opinion on the time isn't the right one, 30 is probably fine.
-
So you created another Pig but has an insta-down, feels bad for Pig players who are missing out on this awesome crouching technique.
Executioner is more powerful than NOED and Rancor combined, not gonna happen.
Basement Haunting sounds cool to me personally but I don't think it's fair because it's a set up for a Basement Build that no one could ever possibly escape from.
Trapper just sounds annoying tbh.
-
So the power is completely overpowered. From my understanding, whenever you down someone you add 1 to their infection counter, so after downing them twice which is essentially 2 hooks they have 1 minute to get healed up or they die instantly and turn into a zombie. Now if this was always played fairly then each Survivor would get hooked twice then when they are unhooked they have 1 hook left but they need to get healed right away which can usually be done by their rescuer so it's fair and ok. But this is never played fairly so the Killer will never hook anyone, they'll slug everyone until they turn into zombies. I can go on but this right here is enough.
Besides that I like your perks.
Fueled By Hunger can either be overpowered or be completely crippling depend how the game goes, you could potentially never get intoa chase because you're so slow. But if you do get into a chase then you're most definiutley going to win it.Shambler sounds cool until it gets to the 80% chance that your Survivor is a one hit down, it's 80% but remember that the self-unhook is 4% because anything higher than that was a garunteed unhook so this is basically always a one hit down.
Virulent is probably my favorite, it can't have the last bit about infection because it only effects The Plague and cannot be used on any other Killer but the rest of it is awesome. A chance that healing someone could injure them but the catch is that their healing bar is at 50%, that could snowball into an endless bunch of injuries lol at that point Self-Care is the way to go.
-
I was on the fence with Mountaineer at first because I thought it was overshadowed by Balanced Landing but then I actually started thinking of useful places that would work with it and there are a lot of places for it. To name a few there's Thompson House because upstairs there's a loop, The Game, Pale Rose on the boat, Red Forest, Yamaoka Estate with the pagodas etc. Good job coming up with this perk, I really thought we've seen the end of them and ''exhausted'' all options.
Runner's High sounds awesome but I'm saddned it would be impossible to use with Dead Hard.
The last perk is meh in my opinion since I can barely hear Survivor breathing myself, I need better headphones lol
-
Hooray for Doctor!
-
There's another thread about this and I had an idea.
Gain a token up to a max of 3 tokens after losing a chase to your Obsession, each token is a 5% boost in speed. Pressing the active ability button grants this speed for 5/10/15 seconds. So you can get a max of 15% more speed and choose to eventually get all 3 or just get 1 but the whole point is you can choose when to use it. The speed is to win chases anyway so you'd use these in the endgame or if someone is giving youa hard time.
-
We need a main Objective other than Gens, as Survivor.
As for Killers I really don't know what kind of secondary Objectives we COULD have. We got something recently with destroying the lanterns but that was connected to the Survivors so it was complete ######### since we had under 4 seconds to break it if the Survivor was unhooked/killed. Do I want a secondary Objective as Killer? Not really but it would be cool to see what kind of ideas people could come up with.

Beartrap chains normally arent that long, theyre after all supposed to immobilize the target. But the "survivor snapping into the traps position" instead the reverse that is currently ingame should be implemented.
It doesnt matter if your ultra rare addon resets your traps if survivors getting out of zhem moves them into walls.Ohhh i thought you were talking about a secondary power added to the beartraps instead of an alternate power.
I think some sling or wire traps might work as secondary power for noise notifications.
Your idea might work as alternate
I had a different title, I changed it because 5 people read this but had no comment so I thought maybe the title needed to be shorter and sadly simple.
Yeah my idea is for all Killers to get a new alternate power to what they have now, so for Trapper instead of picking up traps and laying them down he switches to chain traps that drag them across the map to another location and THEN immobilizes them; they're still bear traps but on a really long chain.
The idea is to take the old and put a spin on their power, maybe Wraith's bell has a secondary ability that doesn't cloak him but instead sends out a sonar wave that makes a noise notification when in range of a Survivor and then supresses his TR for 15 seconds, longer for each Survivor within the radius. Something new like that which is the same power but with a fresh twist.

There are screen overlays if you can find them.I have no idea if there's any crosshairs programs you can add to console.
That's a cool idea, I like that. If I can find one I might try her, I know she's super powerful in the right hands.

I've only ever created 1 OP build, hopefully I'll find more but here's mine.
Get Ready For Freddy
Sloppy Butcher
Knockout
Thanatophobia
Remember MeI slug the Obsession, occasionally hook them but it's not a huge priority until late game. I'm injuring everyone and if someone heals the Obsession I slug someone else until I find them. The Thana and the slug on the ground combined with the slow heals and Gens really gets them paranoid and they stop focusing on Gens and more about saving their friend/themselves, once you get a snowball going you're unstoppable. It doesn't sound like much but because you're slugging the Obsession you're playing against 3 instead of 4 and once you hook someone you're going against 2 and one of them is probably looking for the 4th so not many Gens will be popping if you get this going.

I like the idea of switching between members in-game, I don't think the others should have a TR because it could be too much for the Survivors since your TR could tehnically be all over the map and be too confusing so I think the TR should only be on the member you're playing and not the others on stand-by.I also think it might be too much for each member to have different percentages in vaulting and running etc. There's 4 of them yeah but it could be too much for players to remember and identify exactly how fast and how big their TR is, espeically with add-ons.
I like your idea of all 4 having their ability be different in some way but I think it needs to be expanded on because of my previous comment. Frank not having FF is cool but he should have Killer's Instinct because he's the one who had it to begin with, he wouldn't be the way he is if he didn't. Julie should have FF and have like a moderate % for KI because she's like him but not completely. Maybe Joey should have both but his FF lasts longer because from his outfit he looks like a messenger? And Susie should not have KI because she really doesn't but her FF should be the fastest.
These are just different versions of yours and maybe these could work? Each member does something better than the other. Frank has normal speed so he doesn't get FF, Julie has FF so you could use her to chase, Joey is an allround Killer and Susie becomes the best at chasing but of course it's only one person. And I don't know if it's your intention but it sounds like you can technically ''teleport'' by switching, so if you're Frank and you switch to Julie you end up wherever Julie is? I like that. Would these changes make Legion better? I don't know but it would make them much cooler and actually give them counterplay depending on which member is being used.
I shall adress your points, for this reason I will consider each paragraph a point. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
1) It is my fault for not makkng it clear. Yes it will be only you who has a terror radius. The others are basically just side characters until you switch to them.
2) Eh, true, but I see each as having their own way of going about it. I want to confuse the survivors, and by my way it also means the Killer needs to learn the Legion to know when to use a specific member for a specific job.
3) All the members have Killer Instinct. They all get it differently though. Though I can give Frank a higher chance of getting it though. Because balance is what I want, and him being able to always see survivors is something that will make my rework null and void. Julie follows Frank so I figured she wouldn't use FF like him. I might consider giving it to her though. Joey and Susie both have Feral Frenzy and both can apply Deep Wounds and gain Killer Instinct as if the rework hasn't happened.
3.2) I will see about that.4) I would imagine the change could be whateber the devs might want it to be. My idea would be that after like two seconds, whomever you decide to tag out with is teleported to the last place you were standing, sending who ever you were to the position the person you switched with was. Or it could be cinematic and you run to a member and switch perspective, so that the person you switched to runs where you last were prior to switching.
Again thank you for the feedback. This is why I wanted it as I can think up of different ways to improve or explain better what I haven't in my op.
Your idea is really cool, when I first read it I actually thought you were going with the fake Survivor route but then you turned it into where all 4 members were playable which I think is the best part of your idea. It is incredibly misleading and weird to call them Legion and only play as 1 of them, especially when you need to buy the other 2.
Your idea actually got me thinking about another way to incoporat all 4 of them. The Devs could create an incredibly basic AI routine wherethe other 3 are walking around the map, either you can switch between all 4 OR you can only play as the one you choose and the other 3 just walk around and give notifications when someone is in range, kind of like Spies From The Shadows.

I love Legion, I feel a real connection with the backstory and I love the playstyle. For me personally I want Legion to be a bit more lethal, like you said there are some games where you can go no kills because of how close you can get but can't quite end it fast enough. That's my gripe as playing Legion.
As a Survivor I have no problems, I literally do not care that I have to Mend every time they hit me, in fact I'd rather get hit by FF than a normal hit. Unlike most Survivors I care about my team and will loop Legion for as long as I possibly can so that my team can do the Gens, that's how you beat Legion.
I made a rework yesterday no one cared about and the only reason I thought of it is because everyone constantly complains about Legion so I offered a different perspective on the Killer and a new way to handle him. I only want Legion to be a bit more lethal, they don't need a nerf just a little boost but of course with this particular Killer a boost is extremely complicated.
-
Save The Best For Last has been popular I've seen, they don't use FF as much to down people so they rely on their base speed.
If you have Irridescent Button you can run Unnerving Presence combined with Huntress Lullaby.
Remember Me, Sloppy Butcher, Rancor, and BBQ & Chili won me my best match. I Morid my Obsession and managed to juggle both Exit gates because I kept wounding and inflicting Deep Wounds so they had the worst time trying to open the Exit and when I hooked the 3rd I found the 4th. Then the 4th gloriously DC'd on me, it was an epic win I wish I recorded.
-
It's a Survivor map, like how The Game is a Killer map.
-
I would suggest choosing a different Killer, Doctor is an anti-stealth Killer and you seem to have problems with chases. Maybe for a little bit choose Legion since you're brand new to the game but you would be better off with The Shape/Michael Myers or The Cannibal/Leatherface, you have to pay for them but they both have easy one hit down abilities. Hillbilly has one too but I didn't suggest him becuase he has a learning curve and you just started so these other two could be a better choice.
In the beginning you really need to understand your own playstyle and which Killer is right for you and how you enjoy playing this role.
I enjoying sneaking, juggling targets, and strategy so I've been laying a lot of Pig(sneaking), Legion(juggling), and Freddy(strategy), Pig is also all three of those combined. Here's hoping the toxicity doesn't get to you and that this helped, I might also suggest looking upo TydeTyme on Youtube, he has a beginners Survivor and Killer guide for new players which cover basics.

Do not fear my friend, the devs will most certainly impress us with a buff that will not only miss all the problems he has, but also nullify the few strengths he has left.
Just think of the Wraith Cube. Hyped and a total letdown. Because they ignored the changes wraith mains proposed.
I never seen anyone talk about Wraith, never knew he had a fanbase, what were the proposed changes? If you don't mind sharing of course.

Gen rush exists because the only thing to do in this game is to repair Gens, yes there are lots of other things to do but those things relate to the Killer and not to the core game Objective which is Gens and the Exit. You do the Gen and you get out, those E-sports SWF players exist because of this.
If Survivors also need to find gears for the Exit, or maybe ther Exit needs some grease or the Gen needs some gears or give them a whlole NEW way to escape then it creates some fresh scenarios that prolong the match, giuve Killer more time, and something new for Veteran Survivors to do besides get bored at Gens and t-bag the Killer instead while leading them on a 5 Gen chase.
-
Freddy is not the best, he has the worst defence and awful offense which is why he has a bad reputation and most people suck with him. What those people might not understand is that Freddy is not an in your face Killer like everyone else, he is a strategist run-n-gun Killer.
You don't Transition someone and chase them, you Transition perferabley more than 1 person then chase someone. Freddy has the best ######### slap, Transition someone, walk away then chase them from the other side of the building and converge on their ######### face. Freddy is not straightforward, you need to be crafty because he has no offense or defense and that's why people suck as him. That doesn't make him bad, it makes him difficult.

In the Devs stream after that PTB came out they confirmed that that was accident and it was from their Rework for Freddy.
Oh, that. Honestly it tells us nothing. Besides the fact it's just something that makes him weaker, it doesn't hint at any core changes to his design. On top of that, it's stuff that's being tested so this might not even make it to the final version.
Tells us a little though.
Exactly, it's proof it's being worked on.

BUT, the perk wouldn't show you if you are or aren't in 24 meters of a survivor. No perk glow indication and no haste effect removal notification. What then?
I understand what you mean. Idk...players will still know when they are slower or faster. So this perk would be a better version of whispers.
I think this would make the perk worse, you get a speed boost but not when you're near the people you're chasing, which could be all or most of the time, not really playing with your food. I like the other version I commented on.
What if it was an ability you could activate? You earn the tokens then press a button to use all token that last for 45-50-60 seconds? You can get the tokens then use them when needed so they'll still be temporary and hard to get.
-
Hell yeah! I've been thinking of this for a while but never actually thought to make a post of it because it would ruin their entire system of Killer cosmetics where there is 1 weapon, 1 body, and 1 head(unless you're Hag and your head is actually just your scalp). But I would love for there to be custom chainsaw skins, Billy's chainsaw is so badass but I know it can be better, more grisly, covered in blood and oil.

CrowFoxy said:The worst part is Freddy is actually a decent killer.
I agree. Don't get me wrong he's the worst killer oh, definitely. Without a doubt. But the killers are all fairly viable in one way or another. So that tier list is pretty close together. I've used Freddy at rank one for a very long time, as well as other killers.
He needs a buff and some mechanics need fixed. There is no reason whatsoever that the devs have to hold off and keep this massive rework Undercover to the point where many of us question if it will ever happen since it doesn't involve selling a new DLC pack. Faster dream transition, ability to grab survivors from the hatch, failed rescue attempts and vaults even if they aren't in the dream. The ability to pick people up off the ground even if they are being healed. Multiple failed skill checks to wake up. I don't know if all of those things are necessary, but there are certainly small changes they could make to improve the character.
The thing is, if you can get over not being as good as other killers oh, he's a fun character to play. So my fear is that they will ruin him in the rework.
More truth on the subject, I hate seeing more and more people bringing up that he's the worst Killer and that this rework is necessary. It's not necessary, he needs tweaks. Legion needs the rework but they're giving him tweaks, why not Freddy? Pig just got tweaks, why not Freddy lol As far as I can tell the only time the Devs tweaked him was to nerf him and then they say he needs a rework, a rework after the small tweak that ''ruined'' him? Why not just ######### get rid of the nerf and tweak the bastard like they tweak everyone else?
-

Freddy needs two tier dream states. One that is regular like it is and a deep sleep one where only other survivors can wake you up and it makes you take twice as long to do things. That's the most original thing I've heard on this subject. That's like Doctor but more powerful, hot damn.

I think this is what should happen to Fire Up.You should be able to get tokens for hooks, not for completed generators.
You can get 5 tokens.
Each token will give you 4% increase for pick up, drop, pallet break, generator damage and vaults.
I think that in this way, the perk can become viable enough. Getting tokens for completed generators will always be bad no matter what.
The killer will get good bonuses if they can perform well.
This sounds much better, I don't think something as insignificant as these bonuses should be tied directly to how well the Survivors are doing against the Killer.

Hope to god the devs don't actually believe it though.
Back on topic, OP, by 'offensive actions', do you mean recoveries from missed and successful attacks? Because if so it could either make Fire Up balanced or knock it out of whack beyond belief.I made a post about combining Unrelenting with STBFL and no one understood that it would in fact NOT bring back the machine gun combo because the percentages are still much lower than that was. This 14% would be awesome and STILL not be as powerful as that infamous combo so I think making it count towards successful and missed attacks would be awesome.

What if we changed the bar that fuels FF into a slower charging bar similar to Spirit's but MUCH slower, then we take out the Deep Wounds. Now we have a Killer who rushes like Hillbilly but without an insta-down, they still have to hit you twice and CAN hit you twice but the consequence is that it takes a bit for the FF to charge up, and it NEEDS to charge up ALL THE WAY. Also, I think with that change that Legion should have a standard movement speed of 115. Perhaps one of the Ultra-Rares can be changed that gives the DW ability instead of it being standard?EDIT---The Feral Frenzy timer decreases with every hit you land but ends immediatley when you down someone. So you can still hit multiple people but once you down someone the whole thing resets and you have to charge it up again. I'm thinking the timer would take 40 seconds to a minute?
Can you please read my post about the legion
? and check this video

Wait... What? You want a killer with no counterplay to have an instadown? Because hitting twice without "deep wound" but actual injuries would be pretty much an instadown as both hits can't be countered unless the Legion player is drunk as hell. That's why I was suggesting a really long charge, Myers needs a long charge to get to Evil Within 3, it's long because people run away a lot but that long charge makes it hard to get there so why not have a set time for the charge to happen, maybe every minute? Or maybe every 40 seconds?
I know that Legion is incredibly difficult to change but I wasn't sure if anyone had mentioned this suggestion before. Also I think I need to edit my post because I just realized something.
-
Have you played Killer or just Survivor, I don't think you can say that Killer is too easy/OP if you have actually played as Killer, especially in the Red Ranks.
-
I would use this on slow killers, The thing about this is that you have to be in a chase for 15 seconds to get 1 token so if you're forcing this you're intentionally letting them go so you can get faster. You're throwing the game away and giving Survivors lots of time to do Gens while you ''Play With Your Food''. In essence, that's a counter, you are trading your own time in favor of an eventual boost. This is just like STBFL except it's a chase and not a hit, you can accidentally get into a chase with the Obsession and lose a token, that's counterplay. This perk is risk and reward, all the counterplay is directed towards the Killer wasting their time. I think this is ok, like someone else suggested maybe not 5% per token but maybe 4? combine this with NOED you'll have a 16% faster movement instead of a 19 and I am only suggesting this so people can get into this idea a bit more.
-
This sounds interesting, it's kind of like a built in Overcharge. I think he should manually apply the trap though, to give his power more structure.

Holy ######### that sounds OP. how many seconds off the clock is 25% I think the 9 is 6 seconds? Wouldn't this almost be insta death?

Alls I know is that my wallet will not open to pay for Freddy until the rework comes..
I don't think it's fair for you to say something is bad if you've never tried it, granted I can understand if the reason to not buy was because of the eventual rework but that's a good reason. Have you played Freddy at all, maybe on someone else's account, or have you just watched noob players suck ass because they inherently suck and listen to everyone conform about something they also know nothing about?
I've seen how he plays... and his design is bad and unfun.... that is why I'm not buying him until the rework comes through... freddy was pretty much a God and in this game hes nothing... I mean really? Hes pretty much a trapless trapper who has to wait 7 seconds before he can actually defend stuff... really?
He has the worst defence, can't defend hooks and has problems when the gates are open. But he is the best tracker in the game, his invisibility is better than Wraith even though everyone can hear him.
Freddy is a run-n-gun killer, I use his 7 seconds to my advantage to set up chasing somene else. With Discordance you can get two people in Dream transition and then chase neither of them, see where they go then ######### slap them when they turn the corner. He's an information killer, with Class Photo he is almost unstoppable because everyone is always in the dream world. When I was playing him I was dominating so hard I got safety pips. You just have to undersdtand he's not your offensive killer, he's a strategic killer.
But I get why you're waiting, like I said you're probably better off because you won't have to adapt to his new play style after you've learned so much about him. That's why I'm not playing him right now.

I would love a story mode, it can be simple it can be huge, stories can be told in many ways and not just in the form they chose for the normal game. But I think they would need to pass this task onto another team because they already have so much to handle with the normal game and it would take them forever to come up with the story and work on their ever growing content.I would be very interested to see what they come up with, hell thye story could be about everyone's first time in the Fog, why we never see Vigo or that other guy, it can be stealth for Survivors and straight up carnage for Killers.
Benedict is either a killer now, or a survivor that is even more hidden that claudette in tall grass
Vigo is seen in the Hallowed blight trailersBenedict, thank you. Yeah I was disappointed with how the Hallowed Blight story ended with him, he didn't transform into anything, they built it up but then denied him anything, instead I think he just got killed. Unless the next ''oldest killer'' is Benedict then I would be super happy

The main reason they are reworking Freddy is because his ability is too tunneling. They want to make Freddy not tunnel people as much. They'll most likely rework his ability to be radius based around himself. Easier to transition the add-ons and keep Freddy about the same. And to answer your question about when they might release the Freddy rework, it'll probably come out the same time the next killer does. Again, easier for them to release an update for Freddy the same time they release a big update for the next killer.
Did they say he was too tunnely? I never thought of him as a tunneling killer.Do you mean going after the person who just got unhooked because they'd be easier to target than the savior?
I kind of thought they would release it with the next Killer but we had no info on how far along the rework is so I was hoping someone could shed some lighjt on it. I hope they don't release it with the new Killer, I'd rather it be in the mid-chapter but that's for personal reasons.

Alls I know is that my wallet will not open to pay for Freddy until the rework comes..I don't think it's fair for you to say something is bad if you've never tried it, granted I can understand if the reason to not buy was because of the eventual rework but that's a good reason. Have you played Freddy at all, maybe on someone else's account, or have you just watched noob players suck ass because they inherently suck and listen to everyone conform about something they also know nothing about?

I prefer Dead Hard because it gives me a second chance in a chase, if the game doesn't wig the ######### out and actually let me use it instead of deciding I got hit instead or it shows the Exhausted status but didn't give me the dodge.
I don't like SB because it doesn't help in a chase, it just gives you a head start, whether you get cuahgt or not is up to you. Dead Hard has saved my ass dozens of time when it works, I've lead Killers on loooong chases just because of it and because they know I'm a problem they tunnel the ######### out of me once they catch me. Knowing the loops and having Dead Hard can save your life, having Sprint Burst just give you a small boost that really does nothing in the end.
But when I don't have DH I use Lithe, there are lots of Vaults and Lithe has saved my life several times as well, I still remember the time I was on my 3rd hook and the gates were open with the Killer hot on my ass and I found a damn window and leaped that mother so hard I ran right out the damn door laughing to sweet victory.

I would rather the original voodoo doll version of Chucky. I'll probably go see the new movie and enjoy it, but something about him being potentially a robot gone crazy and not a serial killer's soul in a doll is disappointing to me.If they went with old school Chucky then the height thing could be addressed by having a shadowy/ghost version of the real Charles Lee Ray appear around the doll when doing certain things, like carrying a survivor. That would solve the height issues and be cool to see in game.
Holy ######### that would be badass, just suddenly see the spirit of Charles appear and hoist the Survivor on his shoulder then hook them, transform into Charles for vaulting and grabbing etc, damn that would be dope!
