Spirit+Hag---When Spirit has a totem most people think it's Haunted Grounds, when Hag has a totem most people think it's Devour Hope, Spirit is more likely to keep Devour Hope longer than Hag can and Hag can use Haunted Grounds more efficiently than Spirit because of teleporting.

So the power is cool but tbh it isn't really enough, it isn't detrimental to the game or the Survivors, no game changer. They have debuffs but they are debuffs they deal with all the time with other Killers and reaslly they don't care about them.
A power needs to change the game for Survivors, for example, Clown's bottles slow them down, when used at pallets they can be attacked before they reach it and get downed at all loops much faster. Myers has an instadown, Spirit is unpredictable and no one knows if she's phasing or standing still until oop she's right there and that causes paranoia in Survivors.
Your lunge perk is cool, very helpful tbh.
Your rusty hook Broken perk is awesome, the Killer's versian of Deliverance.
Your Gen perk though might be too strong, Overcharge makes it explode but yours Exposes them, gives their location, and regresses the Gen. I think you get Exposed even if you do get the skillcheck? If so and the Killer also has Surveillance well evryone's dead with that combo.

Also, Kate was designed around the time of leather face, and there is a lo of evidence pointing to the fact that she was gonna be the final girl of the remake of TCM (jessica biel), but they couldn't afford/get the rights to her character.
I thought Meyers was the first franchised killer, though maybe I'm wrong.
Myers: Released October 25, 2016

Was that DLC released around the time they released Gas Heaven or Groaning Storehouse? That might explain the lack of a map.Leatherface was released with Grim Pantry and devs said consider that his own map.
Oh I thought Grim was Hag's map, I thought she got two maps.
Technically, she didn't. I wasn't playing at this time, but apparently, the Backwater Swamp was WAY TOO BIG when released, so they split it into two maps.
Wait you're telling me it was even bigger then it is now? Holy #########.
Oh yeah, watch some DBD videos in July of last year or any video before then and you'll see how huge they were.

So the Devs have talked about creating a Line of Sight mechanic for totems, where the game will choose a spot for totems and not put them in places where Survivors cannot see them, nowhere in their LOS which i'm assuming will be 360 degrees. Well it won't work, it's not enough, I just had a game with a dirty camping Wraith and the totem spawned behind a wall behind me. I spawned AT RUIN and even if the LOS mechanic was implemented I STILL WOULD'VE SPAWNED AT RUIN.Now my game will be different than everyon else's, despite spawning at Ruin it took us a long time to find it, it was only until it was too late that we realized that Ruin spawned behind us at start and we didn't look there lol.I don't know if they managed to find it and destroy it as I killed myself because that Wraith was a dirty trashy ######### who just camps and doesn't even try to play the damn game. I was very sad about it because it was the first Wraith i've seen wear the new cosmetic and it looks amazing, I love that cape.
It means it won't spawn near survivors
That's not what I heard, but we'll wait and see. I hope I'm wrong.

This could work, -right now people with D-Strike want the Killer to chase them because they know they waste time, OR they're so scared and crippled without that second chance they don't want to play. If the Killer gets this massive boost but only when chasing the Obsession which is ALWAYS someone with D-Strike then this would help chasing them in particular and not waste as much time. If anything, the Killer would be their STRONGEST when chasing the Obsession.
Also all the Killers Obsession perks would recieve a massive buff, you would basically be keeping your boosted speed from PWYF and getting Dying Light to proc wouldn't be such a chore. No one would want to use D-Strike anymore despite the benefit and that's balance, both sides are powerful.

That's my problem, so my Freddy is at 50 right now and my plan is to wait until the rework and see what add-ons got changed so when I P3 him I can focus on getting those add-ons, I'll test each one before I P3 of course. When Wraith got his change I avoided the Coxcombed clapper and then it turned into an Ultra.
Do you think I'm being silly, maybe I should just do it already and do what you already got going on? Bank everything until the change?
I think you should go for it right now. That way in the long run you keep all your brown addons after the rework. Because if you wait until the rework to prestige you'll lose all your currently saved up brown addons and then not have 75-100 of each like me
Yeah that's starting to sound like a much better way to do it than I have, thanks man I think thi s is the right choice, no reason to wait
I'm going to have a lot of fun finally playing Freddy again

Well Monto on Youtube made perfect endgame builds for both Pig and Freddy, coincidentally Freddy was meant to be an endgame Killer but the only thing that makes him that are his perks lol. Monto calls them Endgame Piggy and Endgame Freddy if you want to look them up. I don't know which of them has the best endgame but I know they do hve the very best.
I had a great endgame as Legion with Remember Me, I was lucky I had the Swamp map and I was able to juggle both Exits because of Deep Wounds and the extra time on the exit. I'm sure if I had the perks I could try out a full on build with Legion
Remember Me
Blood Warden
NOED---for the slight speed boost(I despise Legions who use this but for this build it's ok)
And a choice between Rancor, STBFL, or Dark Sense -
Since the Pig's change I don;t use add-ons at all, don't need them unless I want to have fun, other killers NEED their add-ons to be playable and that's not cool when you have spend around 50K per bloodweb and not get the add-ons you need from the next one so you're still handicapped.
-
@not_Queen or @Peanits can any of you guys shed some light for tomorrow? I'm trying really hard not to screw myself by prestiging my Freddy to 3 before the rework and I'm hoping to get some hints on when that's coming. I don't know if there's a stream tomorrow or if it's even going to have info about it we're all anxious and a bone could help. I just don't want to do what I did with Wraith and when his add-ons got changed I got screwed myself because I intentionally didn't get certain add-ons that turned out to be SUPER GOOD when they got reworked, rather not do that again lol

Normal Killers already have bad Surivors making unsafe saves without Borrowed Time and when the unhooker goes down it's fair because they were an idiot. Normal Killers will have an even hader time when SWF use this and BT so he can't even get a fair trade for the hook. BT is fine it protects the person on the hook, you're sacrifing yourself for them, if you have a perk that gives you BT as well then it creates a whole mess of unfair unecessary situations for the other player. You're in the Killer's TR, get hit, you hook a Survivor and then get hit but you have DW now and just run off, just like the person who got saved because you also have BT, Exit is right there too and you both get away with the Killer being robbed. I know that's an ideal sitution as a Survivor, of course, I feel great writing it, but on the Killer side is BS.
I just think there needs to be some counter to face camping and tunneling I run into it way too much and I just get bored doing gens and watching one guy die on his first hook or being hooked and knowing that no one is gonna try to save. It's one of the reasons gen rushing is an issue, killers in many games are not leaving a hooked survivor to go pressure other survivors.
It is an issue, I hate it myself when the Killer is so brain dead and scared that they don't leave the hook when there is no real reason to camp, especially in the beginning with no Gens done. Endgame, that's a different story, they need to camp if that Exit is open.
I just don't think it's fair to give both Survivors BT, a good team can beat a camper but if you're all solo there isn't much you can do about it. I would say keep exploring options because No One Left Behind isn't really used and it could be powerful, in my opinion it's overshadowed by We'll Make It.
-
Very well done, also I love that you didn't cop out and give Leatherface and Billy the same effect. You really narrowed down the real difference between the two, giving Leatherface a sprint even after the palletbreak is HUGE, same goes for Billy with no sound, if the Survivor isn't paying attention they'll get cut down and this can also make sniper shots possible.

I think it's more like you invite 1 friend to be Killer and then a lobby is created both of you and the # of Survivors in a lobby is increased. This would let the players know there are two Killers, unlike Killers never knowing until too late that they have a SWF group.

1. Before it existed Killers had to do their own dirty work and go find usEvery Killer with half a brain uses it now,
IMO if EVERY killer is using something it's brokenYou're taking away time that all 3 other survivors could have been doing something else, now we have to hide in lockers, which by the way are rarely right by a GEN
Those unlucky enough to be 41 meters away are screwed, Mr. Killer is coming for you now and since they got 4 seconds they know exactly where you're going
Yep, there's a perk to counter, that hasn't been in the Shrine yet, way to force people to pay to win
Hiding behind Gens hasn't worked since whichever patch made SURV outlines clearer
It makes for a very un-fun game for those of us that don't get caught but keep having to jump in lockers every 30 seconds because teammates
So what did Killers do before BBQ&C existed? Oh yeah, work for their score
It's too complicated for dumb players, play any match as SURV at rank 5 to rank 20 and you'll find your teammates have no clue what to do against it, or have no regard that it exists at all, ensuring an un-fun match for you
It's too OP
I don't even use it when I play Killer it feels cheap
There has to be a better way
Hell at least give em a skill check or something, as of right now it's simply too easy for K's
D-Strike is broken, Self-Care is Broken, Adrenaline is broken, if Survivors use something all the time as well then it's broken, too OP. What did Survivors do before D-Strike? They ran and didn't get caught, they played like they didn't want to get caught, also D-Strike has LESS counterplay than BBQ and chili, if you can admit that then your complaint isn't completely off the rails entitled and stupid, just misinformed and you need to get better.

Have you seen Leprachuan's Revenge: Curse of The Red Clover? That leprachaun is taller, no magical abilities like this one but the Devs say that these short characters are a no go with them. Then again, this one has magic so he could be like Nurse and use telekinesis to hook Survivors, either of these would be awesome.

I know it's been brought up before but it was mentioned as offerings, what if we got a perk that generated trapped chests. These chests can explode with a noise notification and make them Hindered for 5 seconds, the Survivor can still loot the chest after opening, maybe the items have 25/30/50% less charges?
-
I see a lot of Wraiths that do this, I know the saying that every Wraith has NOED but for me every Wraith is a camper. Yes, I know you're ''invisible'' so you can ambush people but come on don't hurt yourself by camping, it's disgusting to see people play that selfdestructive, it's like all the Wraiths I see are spoiled, enraged, masochists.
I'm just glad the camping Hag on PS4 has disappeared, that was just #########.

Ok I'll add it and remove the Iridescent Stone base kit thing thanks. But should I keep my little hangmans trick suggestion?
Not really no, a perk is supposed to help everyone and this perk is designed for sabotage and faster hook respawn, having this just repair Trappers' traps faster is good enough. To be honest I'm surprised it doesn't get more use, Survivors really should sabo his traps, especially if he's using Irridescent stone .

Hey guys there's this fan creation I forgot about that pulls off the Mimic ability and I think this is the way to go about it. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/41619/fan-killer-survivor-a-study-in-victimology#latest
I love Legion but if we want a Killer that disguises themselves this might be the only way to do it because we all know what the problems with it is and this solves those problems by bypassing them completely.
-
I love the map, gosh I was thinking about this today, someone made a rework for Legion and was trying out the mimic thing again I thought of this. I'm tagging @not_Queen in this because I heard that the Devs were interested in the mimic ability for a Killer and damn if this isn't perfect.
-
I saw you mentioned that the noise notification from the crows could be seen as a counterplay to the Effigy which makes sense, but what if there was ONLY the visual cue of the bird and no sound? 64m is pretty far and if you can't see distances very well you'll definitley see the bird and know someone is there. This way you'll have SFTS but it will be in a weaker? capacity and possibly still useful but not as annoying.
Also good job on your Hex, I've been wanting to create a Killer version of Kindred but thought it might be too powerful but you proved me wrong. I was thinking it would show the other Survivors everywhere but just near the hook is fine too, this way you'll know if someone is about to get insta-saved or if you have MYC and should start heading back. Also, maybe the Aura of the unhooker could be shown briefly after unhooking? I've been wanting to rework MYC with this effect but everyone says it's too much, your perk is perfect for it.
One more thing, Broken Body, a lot of people break the pallet immediatley after getting stunned, maybe the timer should pause during a pallet break? Then again this would go great with Spirit Fury or Brutal Strength, overall these are great perks good job on this whole thing man, I finally found a Scarecrow Killer I actually like.

@HatCreature I'm sure all 5 people who currently run technician wont pass it up. Plus you have to be able to hit skill checks to make the new stake out work, which would defeat the purpose of technician. Its higher risk higher reward. Plus technician also reduces noise made by repairs by 8m. I'm fine with the numbers being tweaked. Does tinkerer really make sense with what it does? They ruined Tinkerer, lets not have them ruin another perk, also I just realized how are you going to get more than 1 token? You can do 2 Good skill checks to get 1 token but the very next skill check turns into a Great. At this point having a token makes no sense as you can only get 1. You should take that part out because it doesn't work with your version. Unless I'm missing something.

I finally came up with a name for my Freddy build because of this lol
Sadistic Freddy
add-ons--stacked Blocks to get the hit faster or the Prototype Claw and a Unicorn to get in front of them and smack em in the face!
Thanatophobia
Sloppy Butcher
Knockout

Man everything you make I love, I always enjoy your posts because they're so intelligant and thought out. I really want this, I REALLY want this in the game, Territorial Imperative, like you said will get more use and could become a new Meta perk like Self-Care, not everyone runs it but it is always useful, also as a minor plus your crafting station fills up that other empty spot in the Basement where the chest doesn't spawn.

I ''liked'' your post now, also great job expanding it with other examples of Adrenaline, a lot of Killers hate that perk but that heal is earned it's not free.I've actually seen a few threads with it and its honestly a good idea and needs to be brought up in discussion
my original idea wasn't supposed to be a full fix for d strike, since i disagree that it should be nerfed per say so much as limited in use (and that the way it can combo into things can reset chases) but your idea of restricting it and giving it a requirement is tbh what i've been wanting for a long timeOh so it's not just me, ok I rarely see any topic about D-Strike that doesn't turn into a controversial yelling match so I don't usually read these.
Also just today I faced a Nea with DS and I hooked her first, at the end of the match I saw she had Deliverance so that perk was cancelled out since I hooked her first. If they use this idea then she could still use D-Strike by saving someone but not unhook herself. It's not really important I just thought it was cool that this also talked about Deliverance and then I saw that.

@KingB said:
@HatCreature It already does that. The requisite to get stacks negates the benefits of the perk. It's not better than technician with this rework. Technician reduces sounds of gen repairs by 8 meters. Technician also doesnt require you to hit skill checks to activate.Theres no need to use it at high ranks because at that point most survivors should be able to hit great skill checks. And at mid ranks you run a higher risk of facing killers with a smaller terror radius, making the perk almost entirely useless. Small game is a better counter to ruin than stake out and also massively helps prevent NOED.
Technician also has a 50% chance to not explode if you fail a Skill check. So if yours went through everyone would bypass Technician and use Stake Out. But that's a technical problem, my presonal problem is that yours gets stack too easily and does not make sense with the name of the perk.

It's impossible for this to completely fool Survivors, basically this would allow you to get really close to Survivors, like 5-10 meters from them before they get what's up and that's if you go through loops and trees and not got to them directly. And their hood would have to be down for this to work.
Wont work on observant survivors, it will be like a tier 1 meyers almost.
Exactly, unless they can shapeshift into another Survivor it won't work 100% but I will say this does work okay, I get jumped by Pig's and stalked by Myers at the most random of times.

You want failed Skill Checks to count as Good, that's better than Technician.
The whole point of ''Stake Out'' is that like the word implies, you are spying on the target, the target being the Killer, and by spying on them you get info, Great Skill checks. This perk perfectly fits the name and is a great counter to Ruin and if you're a stealth player like me you get lots of tokens; honestly I'm surprised most P3 Claudettes don't run this because they would own this perk because they're more invisible than Wraith.

I still think that D-Strike should require a safe hook rescue before it can be used, that person earns that DS and ther Killer would never know if they even had it until it's too late and that's counterplay from both sides.
-
If 1 person DCs I try to make the match last a little longer, for everyone's benefit. If I get 2 DCs then I think they're a toxic 4 man SWF and end it as quickly as possible which usually ends with 1 kill and 3 DCs. I get this A LOT.
-
I guess I need a break too, I love this game but I can't get myself to play it as much as I want. The Event got me really excited until it turned into a crap fest with all those tiny unfair details.I was hoping I'd feel a joy to play when it was over but no not really. I think the free RE2 DLC comes out tomorrow so I'll be playing that.
-
I hate these kind of Survivors, I had a team that was actually crushing the Gens and it was partly because the Doc was tunneling me. Anyway, I died because while I was on both of my hooks they refused to help me until they finished their Gens, I was hooked once they didn't even try but someone else got me. My second hook they didn't even give one ######### they just finished the Gen THEN came over but uh oh Doc came back because he was suspicious that I might get saved since it was TAKING TOO LONG AND I DIED!
I'm a solo player but I care about my team, when my team abandons me I become an ######### and get myself killed trying to save them because I enjoy helping people. I always run WGLF and I usually bring BT because I don't want to be an ######### who makes bad saves. I really hate Survivors who don't do anything but there is no way to punish them and be fair about it because in the end everyone plays differently and the lore doesn't support this type of punishment.
-
What most people don't understand is that the Hatch NEEDS to be here, because there is no timer for the match. The match had a timer then the Hatch wouldn't exist because Survivors could just wait out the clock and tbh that hurts everyone, so the Hatch needs to be here. But anyway because most people don't acknowledge that it's very controversial and difficult to balance the Hatch. And your comment about the Killer beating the Survivor to the hatch is stupid, if the Killer beat them there then that Survivor will do a standoff like a child instead of take the loss. The Killer has every right to catch that Survivor so they don't hit them because the hatch is broken and denies Killers their 4k. Honestly, if the Devs would just take out the Hatch Grab then this wouldn't be a thing, no Hatch Grab, no jumping into the Hatch while in the Dying state. And no, before you say it, i'm not a salty Killer Main, I play both sides and I despise things that don't work properly.
-
This would be a lot more fun tbh, I love the FF but the DW causes so much controversy, having it only be 1 hit period would be acceptable. I made my own rework that took out DW but kept the chain and made it to where the FF needed a really long charge. No one responded with actual criticism to mine so I wanted to make sure you did.
This is cool, I'm kind of confused on how to get the FF, so you start disguised and run around in 3rd person then press the button and you mask yourself then charge with FF. I don't think it would be fair to go back to 3rd person if you aren't disguised, I mean it's a stretch going into 3rd person at all. So I'm thinking FF might be like Pig's as weel with an actual charge of the button?
-
I had a DS in my game today, I knew she was trouble because she a was a P3 Claude with Toxic in their name and when I found her she had been saboing hooks all game then tried to 360 juke me. Well the moment I down her ass and sees i'm about to juggle her she DCs. She wasn't a tryhard but she's like your group because all they want is all the good ######### and to dominate, they aren'tplaying the game they are trying to dominate and win and when they don't get what they want they act like a spoiled little ######### who can't reach their gilded toilet because they don't want to walk there. I was Freddy btw

So you created another Pig but has an insta-down, feels bad for Pig players who are missing out on this awesome crouching technique. That’s not what I was going for, I was going for a killer that could sneak up on survivors, since the Pig is really obvious when crouching.Executioner is more powerful than NOED and Rancor combined, not gonna happen. Executioner isn’t like NOED, but with this Killers abilities, or any killer with an instant down it would be OP. I understand. I’ll make it a hex.
Basement Haunting sounds cool to me personally but I don't think it's fair because it's a set up for a Basement Build that no one could ever possibly escape from.not necessarily, since the Killer could be a while away. I’ll make it so it only happens from a certain distance.
Trapper just sounds annoying tbh. It’s rather strong, but there are a lot of perks like this
Ok those changes are decent, making Executioner a Hex is probably the only way to fix it without completely changing what it does. Giving Basement Haunting a distance is good, I like this change but I know others won't because when I said that Iron Maiden should get a longer Exposed time they said I was an idiot for suggesting they get Exposed for technically no good reason. And for Trapper I might not be giving it enough credit, I know it's like Stridor but different, I was thinking maybe the sounds could be too loud and overbearing but that's not the perk's fault, the volume just needs to be adjusted so it's a good perk but it would definitley need the right volume.
You’re right, of course. Here are the new changes:
Personal Perks -
1) Executioner || When the exit gates are powered, you can murder survivors directly for an indefinite amount of time. You can only kill 1/2/4 survivors. This perk remains as long as the Hex totem remains standing.2) Basement Haunting || Receive a prompt when a survivor enters the basement. The survivor will become exposed for 45 seconds. This only happens if you are outisde of 32/50/64 meters.
3) Listener || The Killer has acute senses, honed from the love of the hunt. Sounds Of survivors within 24/48/62 meters are amplified when you are not chasing them.
Well Executioner can be like NOED where it doesn't light up until the end of the match, and that's why NOED is always a surprise. Also I think your meters on Basement Haunting are backwards.

Adrenaline is fine in my opinion because most of the time, the heal and speed boost will be wasted unless you're playing SWF or have great timing. However NOED is a completely different story. It destroys solo Q survivors while being almost useless to SWF since everyone cleanses totems (with communication to keep track). This needs to change so that NOED is threatening to both sides, not just solo Q survivors.
How would this fit NOED?
No one Escapes Death:
Progress infuriates you beyond belief which calls upon your potential. Whenever a generator is completed, receive a 5%/10%/15% haste effect until you perform a successful offensive action. Every generator completed gives you a 4% attack cool down decrease. Speed bonuses from No one Escapes Death doesn't stack if multiple generators are completed simultaneously.I might still try to come up with an alternative myself but yours is really powerful, combining this with STBFL and PWYF and you got yourself a SUPER fast speed racer until he attacks. This is basically the original NOED I think but without the Exposed if I'm not mistaken.

I hate it when people do that, the 4 second Aura isn't that bad so just deal with it. Hell I run Rancor for the Mori not the locations, the locations are helpful of course but I run Rancor when I have Remember Me, I'll hook the Obsession once for points but afterwards I just slug them until the end for that glorious Mori because it's the best part.
I love getting Morid as well and I am always saddened when someone with one refuses to kill me with it. I had a Myers who got a 4k with a tombstone and infinite tier 3 but refused to Mori me specifically even though I was the last person to kill and was giving myself up to him. I asked them what happened and I got no response of course because no one likes to have friendly conversations.

You can't remove the speed boost from NOED without replacing it with something else. Otherwise all 3 tiers grant the Exposed status so there is no difference in any tier and no reasn to waste BP on it.
