hahahahaha if it were up to survivor mains we would be able to hook the killer. I prefer survivor but I main Nea so I guess that makes me a killer.

Nea is my fav Survivor lol

Omg lol, I saw this and was going to ignore it but then realized it was in the Killers section and I was like ''what privileged Survivor has the audacity to come here and say this #########''! That was awesome

I figured it would spin some heads for a bit of a laugh. Lets all come together and have a little fun.

I'm still laughing at Disconnecting Strike.

It got me thinking of a heart attack, the attack was so powerful it killed them XD

  • Omg lol, I saw this and was going to ignore it but then realized it was in the Killers section and I was like ''what privileged Survivor has the audacity to come here and say this #########''! That was awesome

  • This can't actually work because Survivors run away from Killers and generally don't look at them unless they're watching out for them so the power would take forever to build up.

  • Freddy's New Nightmare outfit is his best outfit, he's so jacked and evil. Also I am pretty surprised they didn't have the suit and tie outfit for Leatherface.

  • Ok I just thought of an awesome power.

Luck o' The Irish---Four pots of gold are scattered around the map, when a Survivor picks up a pot they get a gold sparkly aura around them and they get a 25% multiplier to every action. Having the pot of gold reveals your Aura outside of the Leprachaun's TR, while inside the multiplier does not take effect. When a Survivor with a pot of gold is in the Leprachaun's TR he can channel the power of his gold and place a random effect on that Survivor.
Effects include---Considerably Hindered, Exhausted, Survivor has the Bamboozle effect, that camera thing when you trip a Hag trap.

add-ons could include different effects like when they drop a pallet it breaks, Broken effect(only in effect inside the TR), joke but negative effects and things like that. Maybe switch places with another Survivor etc.

Now of course the counter to this is just not pick up his pots of gold and Survivors who are smart will do just that so he'll have a secondary passive power. He'll have a gauge and the gauge will go up throughout the match and will eventually reach it's peak, picking up and hanging on to the gold will slow it down, losing the gold will speed it up. When the gauge reaches the top the Leprachaun gets into a Frenzy and gets incredibly fast and has a swipe attack with an instadown. The gauge can be saved and activated and when activated goes down but can also be turned off and progress saved. So Survivors can either decide not to pick up the gold, thereby making him weaker in exchange for an incredibly powerful ability to instadown. Or they get the gold and be under his random joke effects.

  • Not a bad idea, I've been wanting to use less strong perks for scenarios but I have no room for them because I can't sacrifice any of my good perks to feel comfortable with taking a perk that may never get used.

I've been getting more games with NOED recently so I get slugged at the end and want to bring in Unbreakable but where to put it? I always run Dead Hard, Self-Care, WGLF, and either BT or Stake Out. Obviously, I can switch out WGLF but Survivor points are scarce bro, that perk guarantees that even if I die I get a payday.

  • I saw this before and I think it's an ok idea. But if it's a token system it doesn't need a totem, it's not strong enough for that and you can lose those tokens when you use them so the totem is not necessary.

  • Legion with BBQ probably nets the most points out of any Killer, you can lose all 4 Survivors and still get loads of points, but of course, I'd rather not lose.

I really enjoy Legion and it sucks not many people play them, they're really fun to play as but of course not against.

Remember Me, Sloppy Butcher, Bloodhound/Stridor, BBQ and Chili. This is a great build for endgame, I say this every chance I get because you can juggle both Exits if they spawn not too far from each other. The DW with Remember Me is a match made perfect for stalling.

So when you say bleedout timer you mean the timer you have in the Dying State when you're on the ground? Except you're taking that timer and putting in during the Injured state? So if you're Injured and you get the FF you get this long timer and each FF attack takes chunks out of it until eventually, you'll fall down unless you're healed because the timer is slowly going down. Is that right? I apologize for not getting it but it sounds interesting.

Almost! The only thing is that the bleedout "timer" is no longer a timer. Under no circumstance will it start depleting over time, only if the Legion hits you with their Frenzy while you're injured will the "timer" decrease (hence why I keep putting timer in quotes, it isn't really a timer anymore :P). So the idea is that the Legion will continually chunk away at your health until you go down, and the size of the chunk they take will depend on how often they switch targets.

Ah I get it, ok so they have two health states, the normal 2 hits or the FF which takes out chunks if you're injured and hose chunks can get huge if played correctly and could potentially eventually be insta downs with the FF.Sounds like Legion would get more powerful as the match goes on and healing would be very important against Legion. So it's the same concept but done differently, at first glance it sounds meh but then I remember this meh is basically a normal attack with his power and right now Legion doesn't have that at all, it takes forever. This could be a buff but I'm unsure, the Deep Wounds is really powerful and distracting for Survivors and taking that away could hurt Legion, but then again maybe not as no other slow Killer has it.

Freddy has a natural resistance to P3 Claudettes, the Dreamworld is pretty bright and his power can go through walls and corners etc.

How? last match i played with freddy and his power can go through walls.. you mean he's aura reading power?

When you hold the power button to catch a Survivor with it, it's supposed to have an autolock and catch someone through the wall. Like jungle gym walls

It have a autoaim, yes but when I play freddy that never happend to me.. i should be close and in open zone to the power actually work, that only work if the survivor is in the locker, btw give me some tips to play freddy and best addons/perks to him.. (You seem to be a freddy haha)

You should check out this thread https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/48375/question-for-the-freddy-mains#latest

It has everything you need to know but after you read that here are some tips from my experience. Freddy is kind of a run-n-gun Killer, get as many people in the Dreamworld as you can and then select your target. This won't always be possible but it's the general way to go. Knowing where everyone is at all times is what makes him strong. When you put someone to sleep don't always chase them, they don't know where you are, you can use this to mind game them and slap them around a corner.

Best add-ons are Range add-ons, the claw add-ons for that speed during the transition, the Green dress(it's uncommon so it's yellow), Class Photo is probably his very best add-on. For perks his best are Surveillance, Discordance, Knockout(Freddy is the ultimate slugger), there's a lot of other perks but these are imo opinion his best.

My ultimate Build---Knockout, Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia, and Remember Me(in case you ######### up) Basically you slug the Obsession and move on to the next Survivor and hook them, rinse repeat and if you can't find the Obsession just slug the next Survivor and hook the one after them. They'll basically always be 3 Survivors and maybe 2 of them are looking for their buddy and 1 is on a Gen or being chased. If you switch Remember Me with Dying Light and use the Black Box add-on you could get your Dying Light on early with a Green Mori and if you get it early you won't need Knockout.

  • Kind of confused, you say that Survivors no longer Mend themselves so what's with the Bleedout timer? Do they just go down or do they need someone else to Mend them? Survivors need to Mend themselves because eventually there will be a scenario in the match where there's 2 Survivors and they both go down because they can't Mend each other.

Also, looking at your reply on how you play Legion your rework wouldn't help with yourown playstyle because healthy Survivors will get a smack and just keep doing Gens while you switch targets. Like Dwight and Meg are on a Gen and you smack Dwight so Meg runs off and you chase after her, well Dwight's just doing the Gen because he has no Bleedout timer. Granted later in the game there will be many injured Survivors so the Bleedout will always be there but in the beginning it could be a bit harder to snowball.

  • Freddy has a natural resistance to P3 Claudettes, the Dreamworld is pretty bright and his power can go through walls and corners etc.

  • Legion's playstyle is somewhat versatile. The goal is to get as many people as possible into DW, if you hit a Survivor and there is no heartbeat then just hit that Survivor again. After that you need to decide if it's possible to get a normal hit on them or use your FF to down them, whatever is faster given their skill and the surrounding area. And that's basically it.

A lot of other Killers have a strategy and particular ways to use their power but Legion is simple in most areas and complicated in others. If you aren't doing too well and you can't slow them down enough consider Remember Me because you can slow down the endgame with your FF and that Perk. Also in my opinion besides Frank's Mixtape and Stab Wounds Study, stacked Duration add-ons are the best because it gives you more distance when traveling to Gens or chasing people.

  • I've heard that the country placeholders are just placeholders and no indication of where the Killer is from.

I love how everyone goes WAY BACK when they hear ''oldest'' oldest is relevant, it could oldest they've had which is before WW1 so ANYTHING before WW1, could be Jack The Ripper, could be a colonist with a magical map, could be a mountaineer in Nepal, A French Soldier who tried to invade Russia, A blacksmith during the Dark Ages, a jeweler in China, anything before WW1, hell a silent film director.

My point is it probably won't be anything ancient, though I could be wrong because when someone suggested that the new Killer might be able to jump over pallets I laughed it off and then the next few days we got Legion.

  • `The funny thing is Survivor Bloodwebs are all items/add-ons and not everyone uses them, but Killer Bloodwebs are all add-ons and they NEED those, and it's more of a struggle for Killers to get those despite needing them. Yes, Killers need an easier way to get add-ons, destroying chests, special hooks, tied to pipping, tied to kills, anything really and it would be great.

I hate playing a Killer and not using my BP on them because I'm trying to save points, well ######### you just used valuable add-ons you won't get back for a while. This is why I mostly play Pig atm because I don't need add-ons for her so it's all gain. This idea wouldn't solve the problem but it would be such a relief to have another way to get add-ons.

  • As a Survivor I'm excited because I always have the worst teams who are selfish or are missing half a brain. As a Killer I like the change as of right now, it's better than my idea which was to earn it with a safe hook rescue. 60 sounds like a long time especially since you never know who has it until it happens. I would say try to 2 hook everyone before the Gens are done and then slug in the endgame, if you can't then slug but do it cautiously. I don't know, we won't know how strong or weak it'll be until the PTB.

As a occasional Meg player I don't run SB and rarely have UE and since I don't have either I'm not going to run in plain sight of the killer. Who quite often is occasionally looking back to catch the people running in said plain sight.

You then get rehooked usually and then get pissed at said Meg for getting you're hooked by running in plain sight.

So would you rather A get saved by a Meg playing smart or B get rehooked right after you got unhooked by the idiot that ran in plain sight of said killer?

I'm not talking about intelligent Megs who know what they're doing. I'm talking about the Killer noticebly in a chase with someone across the the map, and then crouching towards me to save. I'm talking about the Killer nowhere near the hook, and crouching, by the time they save me the Killer has returned because they've gotten suspicious on why it took so long to save.

  • That'd be cool, it would make each Chapter actually special. Right now each ''chapter'' is new music and the new DLC which not everyone will get but if we get a new intro every chapter it would feel more legit.

  • It's kind of the same thing but stronger, perhaps too strong. it sounds like if you hook 2 different people then hook a 3rd their timer would be so small they'd be an insta kill?

  • Lol I love Franklin's, especially when I see a White Ward cuz UI know they're special.

  • I have the same issue with this perk, I always find the one that got saved and it's so annoying, I usually use MYC with basement builds to compensate.

Well, I believe DS is supposed to be part of a kit. With Laurie, you have someone who'll see you who you will see when she looks at you. That's technically a downside. Her other two perks are balanced around that. DS is to discourage killers from tunneling you while you're weak and her other perk can help her hide her aura, even while looking at you. Both of these don't have downsides, but a condition will need to be met for all of her perks to work. If you DS and the killer has a perk that would encourage them to kill you off, they very well might. I think it's supposed to be a tango between the killer perks and the survivor ones.

Well yeah it already is but I'm saying of the Devs want the Obsession switching between Survivors with DS then maybe there should be a risk/penalty that goes with it, otherwise it being an Obsession perk is meaningless. If the perk doesn't get a downside to it then maybe it shouldn't be an Obsession perk and just be a normal thing.

Could they make it a non-obsession perk, despite it being Laurie's? It'd be on par with something like BT or Unbreakable if that's the case, then, and you wouldn't get the mess of switching obsessions.

In the Q&A they have one of the designers say that the Obsession part of the perk isn't necessary anymore but they kept it in anyway and could be taken out if needed.

Being the obsession usually means the killer avoids you or wants to maximize the number of hits they can give. Dying Light encouraged the tunnel, but this outcome is addressed with the new ds. While killing them quickly will activate the debuff, it can also be removed now with the switch. In some cases like rancor, having the obsession marker taken away will be a blessing for endgame. For the most part being the obsession is only a drawback when caught out early game and killer figures they best deal with it.

I have updated the Discussion to reflect a better idea.

  • I'm glad other people are coming up with the same idea, the more this gets around the better. I never had percentages in my version, these seem right because you would want to pair with Thana and having roughly the same percentage until they die stack well together, this is nice.

  • One of the Autohaven maps had no Crows, it's the one with the garage but not the gas station. I was waiting for it to proc all match and it never did I was very disappointed.

The only problem I see is with the killer perks, this would mean someone being disadvantaged because its RNG who becomes it and the killer gains something for running the perk in the first place.

Now if the survivor runs an obsession perk I could understand that but only DS is strong in reality, sole survivor, OoO on most players mean nothing, it takes a good player to run OoO and you know they are gonna troll you.

I like the concept of the idea but I dont think it would work out very well as you are punishing someone for running something meant to aid them or because they simply joined a match with someone playing killer.

I was thinking this as well that's why I was hoping someone could come up with a general idea. Like maybe the Obsession has a ''location similar to Doctor's location thing every30 seconds, not an Aura so it's not too Killer favoring.

That still punishes some random player just for joining the match, the killer gets the current location of them every 30s without any counter too it, mechanics like this dont go down well as it removes an element of choice,

Take the current Dying light, not a highly used perk but one that is not fun as it means a survivor may be camped and tunneled out the game for the killer to get its use.

Making an obsession mechanic would need to be something that not only gives a downside to the survivor but also an upside, maybe that upside could be removed if a survivor chose to run an obsession perk but each Obsession perk would then need to be worth running.

Well Dying Light has an upside, it increases their Altruism speed. Rancor lets them see the Aura of the Killer, giving each Killer Obsession perk a Survivor benefit would be a perfectly ok compromise if it meant that it allowed ALL Obsession perks to have a general downside.

OR, just give D-Strike and all Survivor Obsession perks a General downside instead, Killer perks already a downside so just give Survivor Obsession perks a downside, it won't have to be General it could be a different downside for each one.

I think giving the survivor perks more of a downside would be a good way to go, OoO maybe let the killer see them for 2 seconds after they look away for example.

The killer ones generally have conditions afterall where the survivors ones don't so it does make sense.

Hopefully after the PTB or maybe if the next Survivor has Obsession perks we'll see some changes to the Survivor Obsession perks to give them downsides so it makes being the Obsession scary. They have great game changing abilities with no repercussions while Killer perks have loads of downsides. I really hope we get new Survivor Obsession perks so everyone won't just use D-Strike, it's boring.

    returns and slams drink

I love how Dying Light seems to have not been considered.

If the Obsession dies the Survivors get the full power of the perk. If another Survivor becomes the Obsession the debuff is reduced to that Obsession's current health state.

So it's kind of like Thana but focused on the Obsession, they recieve no penalty just the others. Their pain is a light that is slowly dying and the morale of the other Survivors is lowered, action speed respectively.

Not a bad idea to be honest!

Thanks :) I've posted the idea in several threads and you're the first to say something about it, appreciate it.

  • I always double stack my Duration add-ons because I also feel they are one of the most important add-ons, besides the Blades and Frank's. This is a good guide, knowing when to use your FF and when to walk normally after an injured person is difficult for me to judge sometimes. Just when I think I've got them they find a damn pallet and I need to use my FF. I also switch between all 4 members, I do it for respect and not to show favorites despite having a favorite lol.

So far I have only found 1 build that's worked for me so far, mostly because I Prestiged them really fast so I haven't been keeping perks very long. I used BBQ and Remember Me, I don't recall the other 2 sadly. I was able to juggle both Exit gates thanks to DW and the extra gate time, no one got the gates open and when I hooked the 3rd Survivor I found the 4th with it. I dominated them so hard the 4th DC'd to spite me XD

So you're saying this Huntress played better than all survivors despite getting looped for 5 gens by an average survivor like tru3? Ok then!

Calling Tru3 an ''average'' Survivor isn't fair in this comparison. I've seen Tru3 loop many killers for 5 Gens, sometimes the Killer has been doing so well throughout the match that when they finally do chase Tru3, they lose. So using Tru3 for this isn't the right way to go.

Using NOED doesn't make you bad and it is a crutch for some Killers but not for others. Ridiculing people for using a perk when there is more than 1 good reason to use it is wrong. The same can be said for D-Strike, it helps bad Survivors and it helps good Survivors who don't need it but use it anyway because it's fun for them.

  • The ugly Xmas sweaters collection, but yeah we didn't really get anything Killer related in outfits, it all went to Jeff lol

You don't even need a Perk or an Item or add-ons to negate a NOED.

Yupp. Instead of perks or items you need something far more important called TIME. Take a look at my calculation on page 1 then come again.

Well it's a good thing Survivors have unlimited time while the killer doesn't. Start the gen rush after you cleanse the totems! You lot don't have any issue telling a killer to git gud when the gens can be popped in three minutes.

No valid argument as usual. I'm talking about solo survivors who will not communicate. Obviously you can not tell 3 strangers how to play the game (especially on console as there's no pre- or post game chat) so if you want to counter noed you'll have to do it yourself which takes approximately 4.5 minutes according to my calculation (give or take).

Stop acting like every game was against a fully organized SWF squad.

From what I've been seeing NOED is more harmful to solo players than SWF for the reasons stated. But I don't think that's a good reason to nerf NOED, it's the game's fault not the perk.
