Problem I find with that is that with Nemesis zombies they get stuck on everything and for Victor I wouldn't know if he would follow the same fate.

The original version of the zombies had a great AI driving them. They wound up getting nerfed to where they are now because they were too good at what they did while also having the main killer. They wound up getting over-nerfed and are in most cases useless now. That gets re-verified every time I get a Nemesis daily. Did one recently on the Swamp map. After getting down to two survivors and four gens still up I played around killing the zombies. Each always respawned in the same place along the ridgeline near the border wall on opposite sides of the map, immediately got caught on something, and either walked in place or just stood there. Best I could manage with them after a dozen kills each was getting one to circle a rock for a while.

I don't see why they couldn't use the better/tuned up AI for Victor. Though it would be nice to still be able to switch to Victor to pilot them when needed.

  • If I'm really going for it, about two weeks.

Though like others have said, it's more fun after Iri 1 when you can just chill and let people go more. If they got rid of de-pipping it'd be more fun overall for both killer/survivor and healthier for the game.

Since Patch 6.1.0, my favorite part of DBD is when I stumble into the bug that instantly generates the next bloodweb without playing the entity animation and telling me what level I reached.

If any speedrunners can tell me how to recreate this bug with 100% accuracy, please let me know.

The Bloodweb is unnecessarily tedious to use

This. When I saw that the bug was patched I was like "No! Put it back and make it permanent!"

  • Pretty interesting sight. Lots of detail. I didn't see where it shows which teachable perks are unlocked, though.

  • Randomly get video lag/stutter at least once in each trial. Occasionally audio distortion with it.

  • Mainly Legion, by a lot.

Camping Bubba. And I realize I didn't need to use all of those words.

  • I've just done a seven hour run, and saw The Game and Midwich so much I almost shed tears of joy when I got an RPD. All but one trial was completely "random" (no map offerings).

What people that feed the killer a 2K at the very start of the match?

    Pretty much.

It won't really change much on the suicider's end, just add a slight delay while the killer farms the other survivors spamming it.

If it makes it to live in its current form it'll be a novelty for a while. After that, most people will get tired of getting almost immediately taken down along with the suicider or further slowing down gen repair, and skip it. As it is a decent Nurse/Blight/Bubba/Huntress can destroy someone attempting an unhook. Hell, even a half-decent Trickster can camp a hook and down an unhooker. Stealth killers and Legion are going to really have fun. Trappers and Hag....holy #########. This could be an actual boost for Trappers.

If the perk becomes meta it'll be expected to show up every trial, and killers can just proxy camp until they see the second survivor. Even if a third survivor comes in to assist, that's three people not on gens. There's a fair chance this could actually backfire against killers expecting it. It won't do anything against the killers that just camp to get the one kill.

In the end, the only players that would really make the extra effort are the ones who take it as a personal offense when someone suicides/DCs. With the drop in BPs they'd be otherwise getting doing totems/chests and at least getting some gens done before they get taken out, the numbers of those players will likely drop as well.

I'm going to have to make a scorecard of some kind for this.

  • I was going to say "Please no." But hey, more hot outfits that make killers/survivors easier to see, go for it. :)

  • Finished over the weekend.

    image.png image.png

And as someone asked/mentioned earlier, yes, you get back all 1k Auric Cells that you put into the Premium tier when you complete it. I bought 1k of them way back and just recycle them with each new Tome. I wait until I'm done with the max level on the Free tier (to make sure I get the full amount of Auric Cells back) then unlock the Premium tier and it dumps all of those items in my inventory.

Haddonfield was always a horrible map for killer, but the current Haddonfield just feels way too awful to play on as killer, mainly because of the windows to the buildings being low enough to not cause any stagger; 115% killers can only really catch up because of Bloodlust, and if youre a 110% killer, youre better off giving up unless you have semi-decent anti-loop, the distance you gain as survivor is just wait too much. It's one of the few maps where my smile just immediately drops as soon as I load into the match.

Since topics like this are subjective, and anyone can have an opinion on this topic, I am asking... Am I one of the few people that thinks Haddonfield post-rework is worse for killer than Haddonfield pre-work?

I don't like it on survivor or killer.

If you're going up against a competent killer, about 1/3 of the map is just open space that you can almost see all the way to the other side, so both scratch marks and movement are easy to spot. The gens are fairly well lined up so a killer can just patrol one side of the street then the other to see if gens are being worked (particularly if they're running Surveillance due to the enhanced 8 meter gen noise).

As a killer if you're going up against a competent SWF there's a bunch of easy loops survivors can take to extend chases to let others get gens done, or take protection hits and disappear.

If you're in solo queue, you're generally just screwed.

Plus the map still hitches and lags. I really wish they'd optimize the game (or hire another company to do it). Overall the game runs worse for me than AAA titles made in the last couple of years, even with relaxing the game's graphics settings. I periodically run the "verify integrity of game files" option in Steam just to make sure none of the files are corrupted, but they always check out fine.

  • @DeleteSWF said:

I am the only person in solo queue who fixes generators. Stop teabagging next to me when I'm fixing because you're too stupid to use a healing perk. I have better things to do than bail out needy survivors.

That will only serve to keep another person out of the trial and increase the chances of a loss. If you don't heal them, means they have to find someone who will, or start searching for chests. They may have brought a med kit at the start but it ran out while they were taking hits from the killer so you could work the gen.

Of course due to the injured noise and blood trails they're more likely to find the killer first.

I run Self-Care as a backup when I either can't find another survivor or run out of med kit charges (or it got Franklin'd) taking protection hits. On the rare occasion I find someone like yourself, I just Self-Care beside them for however long it takes. Some have even have the audacity to try to talk ######### in end game chat about not helping with the gen. Would've loved to, but was busy bleeding and avoiding being an insta-down. Your focus on repair is admirable, though.

Thats how they rank your mmr? I'm almost positive it isn't but it would make sense cause it would be the easiest thing to code.

Unfortunately it is. They've verified the info before, and players can manually manipulate their own MMR to a certain degree by throwing games.

  • Personally, I'd rather not go that hard on one tactic that can be fully negated by most killers with either of two different perks. :/

  • Speak of the devil. Just had a trial with one.

The killer was doing fairly well, got a bunch of hits/hooks/kicks/pallets in, made it to Tier3 about halfway through the trial, and the trial went over 10 mins. After they had their last shot at having someone die on the hook taken out in EGC by a couple of well-timed protection hits (in solo queue, no less), they DC'd at the open exit gate after all the survivors had already made it through.

No idea why, didn't affect anything on the survivor end. Just lost them all their BPs/exp and guaranteed a pip loss regardless of if they were facing one before or not (would've safety pipped at minimum with the amount of damage they'd done). Someone had brought a flan, too.

    Some people's kids.

For ######### sake change the car piles in auto yard. You know, the huge ones that have not one gap in it? The one that makes catching up to a loop with most killers impossible ? Yeah I'm tired of it.

I hate them when playing survivor, but find it hilarious when playing killer. Particularly when chasing the survivors that constantly pan the camera backwards. It's like "...why is the killer catching up to me that fast...?"

  • I've been working on a tome entry all night where I have to heal a total of three health states of another survivor in one trial. Problem is, most survivors run away when you try to heal them, to the point that they'll run right into the killer. I had one person I unhooked hide behind a rock and self-heal for the better part of a minute, with me standing right beside them holding a med kit and running Bite the Bullet/Bond/Aftercare.

I mean I know they couldn't see my perks, but you'd think the med kit would've been a giveaway, alongside me staring holes through them.

That's if the survivor isn't tunneled off the hook or camped.

Unfortunately the only thing solo queue is good for is to just grab a few quick BPs before you die, then on to the next trial.

  • Had it happen several times last week after not having any issues. That seemed to go away, now this week I've gotten several Bloodweb errors.

I'll be buying items on the Bloodweb, usually at/near the end of it about to go to the next web, and the client throws up a Bloodweb Error, crashes back to the loading screen. When I get back the same level Bloodweb is completely back up and refreshed with a new setup. In most cases it refunds the BPs I spent, so at least that's good. I had one this week that didn't refund the BPs and I have a ticket in, waiting a few days to hear back.

  • Didn't buy the Onryo DLC or Dredge DLC, and I'm very happy about that. Not jumping the gun on the second RE DLC, either.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to refund these as I bought them on Steam sale for cheap, but I rarely play them:

Artist (don't have fun with it)

Pinhead (don't have fun with it)

Hillbilly (I suck at it/over nerfed)

    Nurse (I suck at it)

Hag (don't have fun with it)

    Bubba (broken PoS)

Legion (don't play it on principal)

Deathslinger (fun at very low MMR, over nerfed to being useless any other time)

Freddy (fun at very low MMR, over nerfed to being useless any other time)

Has this always been a thing?! Was at a window waiting to vault it but when the cloaked wraith was next to me at the window, it took away my option to vault.

Works with anyone, killer or survivor. As mentioned above, it's body blocking. If you don't have a full-person-sized opening between you and any exit point (door, window, pallet, vault point), you're blocked.

I've had other survivors do it to me (both accidentally and deliberately) when playing survivor.

I've done it as a killer to keep survivors from taking an exit point or the hatch (since the hatch is so small you only need to block a small portion of it to keep someone from using it or to close it).

It's commonly done by survivors against killers to keep an injured survivor from going down (protection hit).

There is also a similar effect if the killer is running Bamboozle (the perk increases the speed of the killer's vault and temporarily blocks the window/vault point for survivors), or that window/vault point been jumped through too many times in a short order by a survivor and the Entity (game) temp blocks it for survivors. Both help prevent frequent/infinite looping. Bamboozle and Fire Up combined can be a nightmare for even good window loopers, particularly if the killer has Bloodlust stacks. Though usually you'd run one or the other.

I will go out of my way to camp and tunnel each and every one i find. It is the easiest, most bs gameplay in my opinion. you make the killer waste all of his time and because he cant find you your teammates get juggled. its a selfish way to play and very unfair in my opinion. if my mmr is high enough to where i have to be on my toes at all time the fact someone can just hide is really annoying. I just had a girl working on a gen on dead daweg and go for saves but i could never freaking find her. its the worst feeling in the game

Annoying as it may be, the fault completely falls to you. The survivors that run stealth have found a way to succeed at the trial that is not only effective, but an intended and expected method of play. You've found something that challenges you, but instead of learning alternate methods of attack or asking for help in how to deal with it, you keep doing the same thing then blow up about it on a forum.

Even more importantly, you've now let everyone know what one of your weaknesses is, AND what they can do to troll you. Both regular players and hackers.

    Your future looks very angry.

  • @dugman said:

I personally don’t care what they have on the loading screen so the only thing that annoys me is how survivors that do this make everybody wait the full minute in the lobby for no particular reason.

    So much this.

  • Nah. I love RE, but the trailer was just too disappointing. Killer seems like a modified version of Nemesis (which still has bugs that haven't been fixed). Survivors are not much more than new perk delivery skins. No info on the perks or their usefulness yet, but with the state of the perks in the game already and the devs' bizarre over/under knee-jerk changes, I don't suspect they'll be balanced.

Based on precedent, at launch something will either go wrong, be bugged, be overpowered or useless, take weeks/months to adjust, winding up with most of it being shelved and the majority of players going back to their prior preferred characters.

Per usual, if there's anything good in it I'll pick it up sometime down the road when there's a steep Steam sale.

I am interested in the revamped split RPD map, though. The current one is so grating for both survivors and killers. The good part about the map is it's free for everyone!

Hello everyone, today I encountered the combo in the titel, and lets say that it wasn't funny :D

Even with madness lvl 1 the direction of the wheel would randomly reverse during the challenge, and its so disorienting, that its for all purposes impossible!

Mind you, I don't talk about doing gens or heals or whatever, but the yellow glyphs tome challenge. Its only a minor nitpick, as there aren't many Doctors around, but in the same vein I don't think that this challenge is meant to be THAT hard. I guess its hard to code an exeption for the Madness and the yellow glyphs to interact? Whatever, its probably on the lowest rung of the priority ladder and ya'll can consider this just a smol ven rant.

    Happy gaming ^^

It wouldn't be that hard to change the code. They did it for the reverse beartrap removal boxes when the Pig is the killer, so the Huntress' Lullaby perk doesn't affect the skill checks for them. They can copy/paste that code in for yellow glyphs and set it to ignore anything that alters the skill check.

Yellow glyphs are enough of a pita as they are.

  • If they get rid of map offerings, I'd be all for the shop idea. I'd love to buy BP offerings all day.

If map offerings were left in, people would buy stacks of the maps they play the best on, and we'd get flooded with repeat maps. Moreso than we already do with the "random" map picker. Loads of survivors running The Game and RPD, killers dividing up between Grave of Glendale and Midwich.

  • @kisfenkin said:

I feel like sometimes people forget that the queue will spit you into a match with anyone, if they have or you have been waiting. The MMR will disregard your rank and your opponent's rank entirely, just so you can get in a match and play.

Which is terrible. I'd rather have the option to wait longer for a more balanced trial than get auto thrown in with anything.

  • All that, and almost nothing on Project W. High level overview, RPD map being split in two, tiny cinematic, Wesker being a combo of Blight and Nemesis. They spent more time on Hooked on You, which I still can't believe is a real thing.

    No. Bloodpoint. Codes.

I like doing something similar, when i see one killer obviously struggling to use their ability for a daily or challenge, I'll usually try to give em one, especially if its endgame and they didnt get any downs or anything. Sometimes they'll even realize and keep picking me up and letting me wiggle in place so they can get their hits in, then just let me go. its wholesome in a really awkward way.

Though I don't know that I'd go so far as to die, when I see newer killers or those that are obviously struggling (and have determined it's not a bot) I'll let them get some hits and hooks in, when I could have looped them or hid.

It doesn't really pertain to the situation I was in earlier, though. I was just trying to go easy on them since they seemed to need help and one of the survivors dropped out early.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Yeah they're being ridiculous but you could also simply hook him. Like what bizarre point are you trying to prove here by refusing to hook him?

That some players will whine and moan about how hard something is or unfun it is, but when it's given to them on a silver platter they act the same. They couldn't be bothered to put forth the least amount of effort needed for likely the highest gains they have gotten in many trials (they all seemed to be lower MMR solo queue).

It's not uncommon for me to see DCs/hook suicides when I'm putting a lot of pressure on players, or if it's an SWF group having their tactics used against them (flashlight crew realizing I'm running Lightborn just for them; faking a chase on one survivor then downing another while they're going for the heal on someone already down; letting one survivor lead me by the nose at the start of the trial to burn through most/all of the pallets on the map so they have none/none in the main areas in the later game; etc.).

This is outright laziness, though. The only other guess is they're part of the player base that believes throwing matches will get X nerfed. Which is moot, since DCs are excluded from that analysis.

I left the game running to go grab some dinner, when I came back the person had taken the hatch at some point. So they could at least press a button in the end.

  • @Error_Social said:

Survivors keep using the DC exploit, as always, and in my opinion survivors shouldn't be able to disconnect from the game because of a bugged mechanic and repeated offenders should be permabanned from the game.

    I don't camp. I don't tunnel. I don't play especially mean.

I still see a DC in 25-30% of my games.

Clearly, the DC penalty is not fine - and if people are going to find another way to ruin games, the answer is to also penalize that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103802#Comment_3103802

    No, they are correct.

Killer DCs = everyone moves along with some BP, straight to their next game.

A survivor DCs = now killer has to spend time playing an annoying game, hunting down 3 people who've gone AFK in lockers or in the shrubbery, or 3 people have to play out a boring, unwinnable game.

These play out differently in reality, and you can't really compare them - unless the killer DCing meant that survivors had to finish all the gens and then leave, whilst also getting a penalty to BP and points gained.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103714#Comment_3103714

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103719#Comment_3103719

    Start it at zero.

The problem with DbD is the way that the penalty is handled. Most sensible systems allow you a free crash or two, then an escalating penalty that quickly gets quite nasty. To make the penalty decrease, you have to play out games without DCing.

In DbD it's purely based on time - which basically means that people can DC at least twice a day before they start to feel it.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103675#Comment_3103675

You shouldn't be punished for the occasional crash.

If you're crashing daily, you need to be encouraged to stop.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103658#Comment_3103658

    Shrug.

By the same logic, if you can't cure the disease, you need to manage the symptoms.

People will always find something they don't like to face, and - this being the internet - will then amp this up to 'omg this is frustrating to fae and I'm not having fun unless I win, so I should be able to DC'.

No matter what you change, you aren't going to fix that.

So you have to control it.

"A survivor DCs = now killer has to spend time playing an annoying game, hunting down 3 people who've gone AFK in lockers or in the shrubbery, or 3 people have to play out a boring, unwinnable game."

"Unwinnable." That's a big part of the problem. Every survivor and killer going into a match has their own concept of "win", and most times it's absolute defeat of the other side. The slightest deviation to that, and it's nerf this, ban that, run to the forums and whine. Set your objective to go in, grab as many points as possible, then go to the next trial. Do some tome entries if you absolutely need to feel a complete win.

After the Legion revamp there were tons of Legions running around, and my personal rule is I don't do Legion/Bubba trials (one isn't worth the time put in even if you escape, and the other is just a waste of time). I played out several of the trials all the way through for about half my play time one of the days, then calculated the BPs/exp per trial. Then I suicided on first hook every Legion trial for the other half of the day, then calculated out the BPs/exp for that. I wound up tripling my BP/exp intake for the second half, partly because I didn't stay for the inevitable slog that the Legion trials wind up being, and partly because I was able to get different killer trials in between that was worth sticking it out for.

I repeated this experiment across several days, and the results were always in the ballpark of each other. I rerun this trial periodically, especially after major changes to the game. After the recent perk revision I ran it again multiple days the first week, and the results of suiciding out on Legion trials wound up pushing close to quadrupling the total BP/exp intake of staying in the trial. The buffs to Thana and other gen regression perks made it just crazy pointless to even bother with Legion trials altogether.

The other survivors in 1/3 of the trials I was in seemed to agree, as I ran into many waiting at hooks to leave. Two trials had all of us in the basement having an AFK crow hook party waiting for the killer to show up. The Legions in most of those trials, but particularly the basement ones, actually tried taking fake swings at us to get us to run. Nope. The Legion can DC or they can hook us; either way we're not staying.

Although the BP/exp intake took a dip vs all killers, Legion and Plague were the most noticeable. The exception with Plague is that the game gives you resources (cure fountains) to help offset the slog, so they're not as bad.

The point of this as well as any game is to have fun. If you're not having fun, change your playstyle or change to another game. I've been having a blast in DBD since I dropped the concept of "absolute win". Most every trial is a chill trial.

  • @Murgleïs said:

10 games in solo Q, 10 DC. The worst part is that we could have won if they did not DC.

Remove -50 000 BP per DC on top of the temporary ban penalty. If the player has no BP left, make it negative down to -2000000 BP.

Also the ban penalty should not start at 5min but 20min minimum.

LOL no. That'd be a mini version of if the devs decided to do away with SWF. Never happening.

If you're playing survivor, grab what points you can then jump into another trial. If playing killer, play a different killer for a while (something other than Legion/Bubba/Blight/Nurse tends to do the trick).

So I ran perma Iron Will on both Jeff and Bill because we know those boys are LOUD. And with only 200 hours in the game I'm still pretty crap at looping, I'm just now starting to grasp tiles. So this nerf to Iron Will really hit me hard because I really relied on juke/hides in order to get out of a chase. It was literally the ONLY way I could make it out of a run--and so many times during a match I'm injured, fresh off hook, and don't have time to run away before the killer gets to the area--so my only option was to HIDE.

Like I see lots of people complaining about "oh well survivors can just hide in the corner of the map entirely" no, they can't? If a survivor goes too long without doing anything, they get crows. I've had games where I got crowd because it just took me THAT long to get to a gen, and I had to stealth to one or risk just walking out in the open in front of the killer.

75% reduction isn't worth it, because even without the screams and grunts characters like Jeff huff and puff, not to mention killers can still hear footsteps, grass, breathing--and how many horror movies have you seen the survivor just HOLDING their breath, hiding in terror, as the killer is INCHES away, looking for them. Thats a moment of this game i LIVED, the THRILL of "oh god they're gonna find me--" and now its just a game of marco polo. Except polo has his eyes wide open, and a gun.

I feel like they're taking away the variety of play styles in the game and just forcing everyone to play one specific way and I'm not a fan. I love this game but this was just a huge bummer to me.

Jeff is surprisingly loud. When playing killer he's always easy to find as after taking a hit he sounds like a wounded bear. Bill's hacking is certainly in the #2 spot. Jane....well....Jane's something else. Still waiting for her head-to-toe black latex sado suit cosmetic.

Slot Off the Record and Lucky Break, if you're having trouble hiding.

Bite the Bullet is also one to consider if you make a lot of noise while healing or you keep running into loud teammates to heal. You can heal yourself or someone else right beside a killer and they'd not know you're there. It's great when combined with Resurgence, Self-Care, or Botany Knowledge.

Calm Spirit is good if you run into Doctor killers frequently, or killers running perks that make you scream (Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden, etc.).

Parental Guidance is situational, but if you get good at landing pallet/flashlight stuns, the perk will let you get some decent distance silently w/no ground markings.

You can throw in Urban Evasion to be extra sneaky. You can move around while crouched faster than normal walking speed. On maps like Grave of Glenvale, Red Forest, Backwater Swamp, Coldwind Farm, and the like, you can move around to most places on the map effectively invisible. Just don't wear any bright/neon cosmetics or trinkets. Completely defeats it.

Well the servers should. With all the attack on titan cosmetics I've seen, they probably made enough money to buy an Amazon server farm.

They already use Amazon AWS, so it wouldn't be a stretch. I found out by taking a look at the DBD network connection in Resource Monitor in Windows to find out why my ping time in lobbies will occasionally go through the roof, but stay that way across multiple lobbies (so not just one person using a VPN through a Stargate). AWS was throwing my connection over to Western Europe for some ungodly reason. Usually a restart of the game fixes it.

  • I prefer not to camp on my Wraith, but when the survivors are hook swapping like whoa I'll oblige. Camping usually defeats the purpose unless you're going against a bully SWF. Better to keep two survivors busy by running to the hook/unhooking/healing while you chase down and hook another survivor.

Tunneling is similar as it may be effective at times it's largely a waste of time. Giving the survivor time to heal up nets you another full set of hit/surprise/found points off of them, and time to kick gens or find another survivor.

With the recent perk rework there's not a significant advantage to running NOED, particularly on a killer that has both speed and stealth. Better to throw in a slowdown or info perk instead to keep the trial from reaching the point that NOED would be useful.

I am admittedly one of the people that just won't play against a Legion if I see Thana. I'll sit on my gen til I'm pulled off and go to the next because I ahve work tomorrow and I'd rather be able to play 4 rounds in an hour instead of just one miserable one.

    Truth.

  • As killer and/or survivor:

Survivors who sprint EVERYWHERE. When playing killer it's stupid easy to spot the people new to the game. A path of red scratches everywhere they go. Especially if it's straight through the middle of the map. If they're remotely near a window/vault, incoming explosion noise. Could be nowhere near me but they chuck a pallet before starting on a gen, followed by every missed skillcheck. I felt so bad for one entire lobby of new people so I just smacked them around a bit and let them go. I watched three of them on the same gen take almost 10mins to finish it because they were going for the failed skillcheck high score. Two were Feng Mins running Technician. On hind sight I should've just killed them. It'd have been a mercy.

Survivors who loop so hard they run right back into the killer.

Survivors with either severe lack of experience in the game or the worst video cards on Earth running into a Wraith/Spirit while they're stealthed and not understanding why they can't keep walking.

Survivors who run right back to the same gen they were just chased from, while still being in direct LOS of the killer who's barely moved away.

One or more survivors that spawn directly beside another survivor, who also spawned directly beside a gen, and just wander off while the other survivor(s) work the gen. Bonus points if at least one of the survivors is running Prove Thyself.

Survivors who toss a pallet while being on the wrong side of it, only to get grabbed by the killer while trying to slowly crawl over it to the other side. Bonus points if the killer is Nemesis in Tier3 and just whips everything.

Survivors who toss a pallet then tbag constantly on the other side....against Michael Myers. Same when a "pro" survivor does the back and forth run at the killer to try to get them to chase, and the killer is Myers. Bonus points if Myers is running Fragrant Tuft of Hair, Judith's Tombstone, or both.

Survivors who jump a window then stand there...vs a ranged killer. Extra funny when it's the Deathslinger that spears them, reels them back to the window, and smacks the ######### out of them.

Killers who lock on and chase a survivor while they loop near a gen that's actively being repaired. Not exactly a red flag as a survivor, just more of a ".....dude."

Survivors healing directly/almost directly on the other side of a kickable door.

Solo queue survivors running to rescue a hooked teammate from a basement Bubba. Until (If) Bubba (ever) gets fixed, best thing that can happen is the hooked survivor not suicide so maybe the others can get a gen or two done before they're insta-downed too.

Stealth killers playing the entire trial unstealthed. Granted, some really good killers will do this vs a low MMR survivor group to give them a chance or be more of a challenge. Other times it's just the player forgetting what killer they're on, or not knowing how this killer works.

Survivors finishing gens vs the Pig while other survivors are wearing reverse beartraps. Bonus points if the survivor finishing the gen is wearing one.

Survivors "hiding" behind/inside of objects smaller/shorter than they are. Bonus points if they're wearing bright/neon cosmetics or glowy trinkets. I still wish the devs would put in the ability that only other survivors can see certain cosmetics, or see 100% of them while killers get a more muted view. Unless you're godmode at survivor, wearing most of the cosmetics/trinkets available just makes you a walking holiday decoration, even without video filters.

And some players wonder why others DC/suicide.

  • It can be dependent on a lot of different reasons. Two+ people are hooked or on death hook two mins into the trial. One person already tunneled out in three mins or less. Killer is facecamping at 5 gens up. Ninth Haddonfield/Swamp map out of 11 trials. Legion or Bubba trial. Someone in the trial is playing via VPN from Mars and lags everyone to hell and back. So on.

If it's not fun or doesn't have a shot at being fun, skip it and hit the next trial.

  • Yeah, it's gotten pretty bad. Before the patch it was the occasional rubberbanding. Now it's stuttering all over the place.

I picked up a new video card (was planning to anyway) that's a few tiers better than what I was using. New drivers, new control software, tuned it specifically for DBD. No change. Tried all settings with both the old and new cards, made no difference to the stuttering.

And that's something that spiteful survivors use to deny the killer the points that they earned, all because unreachable hooks are the norm. They can just run to a certain area and get downed, and the killer either has to let them bleed out or let them keep wiggling off only to run back to that same spot.

Indeed. Best to let them bleed out while hunting other survivors, or use them as bait to down another survivor. I've found if you leave them bleeding out long enough then come back to pick them up, most are happy to get hooked so they can get out of the trial, and won't wiggle. If they do start wiggling, just drop them and work the other survivors.

If they DC while down in EGC it counts as a hook/sacrifice, same as when DCing on a hook otherwise.

Under some conditions it can be annoying for doing specific tome entries, but otherwise it's a negligible difference.

  • I've not had this experience playing killer post-patch, which is odd considering I expected longer. Pre-patch it used to take me 5min to get a lobby as a killer, now I'm getting one in 2min or less. Most likely it has to do with MMR level and time of day being played.

  • I'm liking the new Huntress lullaby audio as well. More real and fun. Far less grating.

Trust me i enjoy the updates from a 50/50 perspective. I think this patch was overall healthy. But as a killer and survivor i hate thana pentimento. Wheres the skill in playing legion and just forcing forever gens? On the bright side it was the first time i found out the game map can run out of pallets. Because the legion was so cocky he just followed me shaking his head yes as he broke every pallet. I hope theres no chance this stays a thing for to long. But i know some updates take forever. Also from a killer perspective its the one build i refuse to run because i actually want to feel some pressure. For whoever else has faced this build you have my sympathies and how did you approach it?

When playing killer I love it when the pallets run out (or at least all the ones in the main areas). If some of the survivors are potatoes and at least one is a competent runner, I'll spook the potatoes into hiding and chase the runners for a few mins until they've thrown every pallet they can find. I consider letting them reach the next pallet when I could've otherwise downed them to be bonus points. With Bamboozle slotted, once all pallets are down and problematic doors are destroyed, it's a blast playing survivor whack-a-mole until hit/find/chase points are maxed out. Kick a few gens and damage points will be maxed as well. Guaranteed iri Gatekeeper and Chaser emblems every time, even when letting the survivors go. :)

Same. My evening queue time was practically instant. Now I have to wait about a minute to find lobby. And every single match is a sweat fest. I still rarely lose, but I have to sweat with 4 gen slowdown perk and play in the most unfun ways (tunneling/slugging/camping).

This is not fun. Where did the chill evening matches go?

A minute isn't too bad of a wait. Before the last anniversary event it usually took several mins for a survivor lobby to pop, and the max 5mins for a killer lobby.

Bugs Bunny Birthday blowout AVGN as survivor

Now that would be some hella perks.

  • When I get those dailies I run Dwight and have Bond loaded, or load Empathy on Claudette. I usually have to find people to heal since they tend to run away from anyone trying to heal them.
