I just got this bot 5 times this afternoon, 3 of them were back to back and we ended up just quitting playing. Hard to enjoy the event bonus when a doctor/spirit cheating bot just teleports and slugs everyone 30 seconds in.
-
They used to do this, Tinkerer was a perk that affected cooldowns for killers, which meant it had to be adjusted for each new killer and addon.
This ends up causing them to have to work on hundreds of perks with each new chapter, and is just a ludicrous amount of work when you can have a perk that works equally for everyone.
-
With how DS deactivates if you so much as sneeze near a generator it should be buffed to 7 seconds.
If it's the first survivor hooked and they are downed and picked up a second time without any other survivor being injured or downed then the stun shuld be 2 or 3 minutes.

Nightlight stats have been way, way off since they added stats players can see directly, at least. Last I knew, nightlight was still counting abandons as escapes also.
Official kill rates are about 60%, escape rates about 40% on average. And some killers are averaging almost 70%. That's not balanced.
Hell, I don't even mind the rates of it. I don't mind losing really, but I do mind losing 3 minutes into a match because I was hard tunneled out against a killer whose powers effectively negate any kind of enjoyable chase mechanics. There's so little interactivity with so many killers that it just feels miserable to play against. Even if you win because everyone focuses on gens and nothing else, it's still a victory but it is just so boring. Survivors I know want interactable and enjoyable chases.

While the change is ridiculous, let's be real. Nobody ran tenacity. It was a very very situational perk. They should have just added the new effects onto the old.
I absolutely run Tenacity, it's one of my favorites. In fact, every person in the group I play with except one person runs it. It's like 58th most popular on nightlight if you take those stats seriously, which isn't the most popular but around halfway down the list. To say no one uses it is a pretty bold overstatement compared to something like the useless teamwork perks or invocations.

In addition, I wanted to confirm that I've seen the comments in here about Off The Record. I appreciate y'all being open about your thoughts on it. Rest assured, I've pulled together this feedback and am sharing it with the team.
Is there any word on Tenacity? It has always been a mainstay of my build and I see a lot of "We're sending feedback regarding OTR" but nothing whatsoever for Tenacity which now feels almost entirely useless? I permarun No Mither (and thank you thank you thank you for finally allowing me to remove Iron Will) but it hurts to see Tenacity done so wrongly when the crawl+recover mechanics didn't get implemented but it still got the nerf for that :/
-
I permarun tenacity and this is such an absurd thing for them to do I can't imagine how this went out the door
-
Why don't you just go up to the pallet and press your action button. There's a built in mechanic that allows a killer to break the pallet with this interaction, I foud it to be quite helpful when playing killer.
-
The perk description was updated so this seems like it's not even a bug. They just made the change to tenacity without considering their their planned "crawl and recover" mechanic was not going to make it to live so now tenacity just… not only makes you move slower than it did but gives you no ability to recover. Hopefully this is addressed because it is quite baffling.

I wish people would stop pretending like it's a slugtunnel apocalypse. It's just disingenuous. Watch any given survivor streamer and see how often that stuff happens. It's not very frequent at all. Certainly not "game after game".
whether it happens a lot or not is irrelevant, it's an unhealthy mechanic because it pushes people away from interacting with the game.
your argument is also incredibly flawed because I could turn around and say "watch any killer streamer and you'll see they get multiple 4ks in a row without ever losing so obviously killers need to be massively nerfed" which would be something to be ridiculed becase why on earth would devs balance around content creators who make a career of being able to excel at the game they play
-
@UnicornMedal said:
I don't know how to feel about the Tenacity change. Blocking aura is a good change, but I'm not sure that the crawling speed needed to change to compensate. You're generally not down for that long and if you are, you should be able to punish Killer for leaving you there.
The change to Deerstalker makes Strength In Shadows less appealing.
Even worse, you can no longer recover while using Tenacity and moving at ALL. Because that was going to be basekit, they removed it from the perk, but because the basekit change didn't happen, now you can't even recover while moving ONLY 25% FASTER. They gutted it into the ground because the changed it anticipating anti-slug changes they refused to implement.
-
This is not a bug I don't think. They nerfed Tenacity so you can't recover and cralw now because the anti-slug changes included recovery while crawling. Since that didn't take place but Tenacity still received the nerf, it now does not allow recovery while crawling at all.
-
I permarun it and my escape rate is ~45%. Maybe it's a doom perk if you don't know what to do with it but it's one of my favorite perks.
-
Devs please acknowledge this and revert tenacity until slug changes done because you nerfed one of my favorite perks into the ground for no reason at all???

Hey folks. I totally hear your concerns here, but also want to give some background. Balancing is an iterative process that takes time to find a sweet spot, and this is very much another step in that process. To quote one of my favourite fantasy series', "journey before destination".
We 100% want to hear your feedback once you get a chance to play a few Trials with this new change, so please let us know how it's feeling. We're here to grab that feedback and make sure the team is made aware.
Unless of course the balancing is regarding a paid killer with an insane hitscan issue that has received endless complaints due to how bad it feels and how little counterplay there is. I suppose if it generates money, instead of being an "iterative process" it turns into "this is on our radar" for 4 months?
It's too bad you could use the very outstanding eyes that told you Fog Vials needed to be useless within 1 week of release on the killer that has gone entirely unfixed for nearly half a year.

that’s what’s got me the most worried. They haven’t responded or acknowledged a single post or bugfix post about this issue yet which makes me think they don’t find it an urgent problem.I hope i’m wrong and they are actively looking into it right now with all the backlash and feedback that has been given so far.
They probably haven't acknowldged it because it's probably intentional.
In their mind, people hoarding event offerings means they get bloodpoints in greater numbers which means they play less. Eveyr anniversary it has gotten worse and worse, so it seems as if it is an intentional effort to ensure that everyone earns less BP so they have to play more to grind it out.
Despite the fact that all of us love to play wiht giant bloodpoint incentives and being able to hoard up cakes makes us happy throughout the year since we're comepnsated for our matches better.
10 second chases with 2 minute matches and 10k bloodpoints a person seems to be their desired direction for some reason.
-
any thoughts on giving my beloved No Mither 100% noise reduction 🥺
-
DBD was one of the only games I played with a battle pass where finishing the pass happened naturally through playing and didn't feel like a chore.
I really, really hope these changes don't make me feel so obligated to play to finish that it feels like a second job. Hell one of the things I constantly talked about with friends was how much I love DBD's rift pass because of how simple it is to complete and fill out.
-
nothing about that is untrue, he is low effort high reward, he is barely punished for his mistakes and ignores nearly every type of field defense survivors have in a chase. streames are probably biased against him because he sucks to play against
-
This is still a severe issue, how has this not bene killswitched? With this patch the lullaby is practically non existent. I've encoluntered huntresses twice running this with Iri Heads to the point where you cannot hear them whatsoever until they are 10 feet away from you.
-
Nemesis is a pretty capable killer without his zombies even in play. No other killer can effectively ignore pallets pretty quickly into a match and also have 2 units in the map that pressure survivors off generators at no cost to the killer. Unless his win rate is massively struggling, any buffs to zombies would have to include nerfs for the killer itself so I don't know that it would be worth asking for.

I never used Lethal Pursuer because I find it to be worthless, but I tried it with the blood event, I'm trying random perk combos. With it, I'm catching SWF groups cheating. Almost every match is against a SWF group and almost every match with Lethal I'm watching Survs cheat at the start lol
I just watched a dudes aura fly across the map and onto a gen. Next match, I watch a Surv already on a gen the millisecond lethal activates at the start and then four seconds later when I roll up to the gen, it's almost complete. I watched his aura leave the gen since my lethal value wasn't even over yet lol No toolbox, no perk for gens, but the gen is almost complete in four in-game seconds, okay lol
I've also started using Franklins and Weave, watching Survs aura's moving super fast when they think they're out of sight, as well as Survs completely disappearing from aura reading even though they don't have distortion. Like I had a Surv who never showed up when they were smack in the middle of weave, no distortion or anything.
Facing SWF is already unfun, facing cheaters is even less so. Cheating at least can be managed in a SoloQ lobby since I can focus on others, but in SWF's its near impossible. Ya know, with this full aura build, I'm starting to assume that gens actually legit don't fly by THAT often and it's actually facilitated with cheating that the Killer would otherwise not be able to see or prove. I also see a lot of cheating when I play SoloQ, from my teammates, who move around super fast to be healed or prevent the Killer from hooking them or supply infinite blinds.
IDK BHVR, how about some development to actually improve this shoddy game and less of subpar DLC releases?
I have started on gens before the killer has loaded in multiple times, sometimes other players load in much slower so I don't think that situation was cheating, just an unlucky load in for you. Flying across the map is certainly suspicious, but the aura reading disappearing isn't entirely suspicious. There are plenty of ways outside of Distortion to hid auras that may have been in play. I run Shadow Step pretty frequently and have been accused of cheating by a lot of people that run Franklin's/Weave because they simply don't understand what survivor perks exist.
There is definitely some rampant cheating problem though.
There is a cheater out there that has been streaming pretty actively with cheats on screen though that I'm surprised hasn't been banned yet, it definitely does not seem to be a priority. There's so many instances where your opponents in this game seemingly have perfect reads on you with absolutely no perks or abilities that should allow it.
-
This is just a straight buff to killers though.
Gens take longer without slowdowns, so now killers can bring chase perks instead. But killers that bring chase perks now instead of slowdowns perform just fine.
So now instead of a gen taking 120 seconds because it got hit with Pain Res or Pop, now it takes 120 seconds by default and the killer is ending their chases faster in addition to that. This does absolutely nothing but provide a massive buff to killers when they are already, from the numbers we've seen, it a pretty good spot.
-
The difference is that as a killer you have a wait time of at most 2 minutes, and you do not have to enterain it. You can go breaking pallets, doors, or whatever you might need to finish off in the map.
If a killer wants to BM you in the end game as a survivor you have to move like a snail for 3 minutes and 59 seconds while the killer humps you before finally performing the mori.
Until a survivor can force you to watch them teabag and give you 0 option to hit them out or even choose not to look, the comparison of end game BM isn't really equal in any way.

Her'es a video of it. I was testing with a friend because a doctor shocked me off of it earlier and it reset so I thought that it was whenever you're interrupted, then I found that it's even if you just stop the invocation. -
nvm
-
I don't really mind any kind of BMing. Flashlight clicking, teabagging, pointing, hitting on hook, shaking heads. None of that really impacts my game. While I don't love tunneling it is a strategy that works so there's often no reason not to do it. Doing the most efficient strategy isn't BM.
The only things I actually consider to be truly BMing behaviour are a few people hiding so they cannot be found, and a killer slugging for no reason other than to bleed someone out. Things that just prevent you from really being able to play. And of course really nasty things in the end game chat.
I actually like if I'm being cheeky with a killer and teabagging or clicking or whatever when they down me and shake their head or give me a hit or two on hook. It feels like a friendly rivalry.
-
Face a wall, slug, bait out saves, etc. There's plenty of ways to avoid a flashlight save, you can even bring Lightborn if you're incapable of the other options, then you don't even have to put effort into it.

ive played a lot more solo queue in ther last few days than i ever have in my life because of that bonus, it's absolutely helping

There is a difference in intentionally doing it and not, this is quite likely they are abusing it if they are giving up on hook, was SWF, and also teabags at the gate,
I have a feeling you've never played Dead By Daylight before if you don't think that giving up on hook, being in a SWF(at the very least a duo), and teabagging at the gate aren't in half the games you play.
-
@Neaxolotl said:
If you have a video record of that you could've still report it as bug abuse
I don't think you could possibly submit it as bug abuse.
Unless they add text to the launch screen stating "LEAVING SPECTATOR MODE AND SPENDING BLOODPOINTS AFTER A MATCH WILL RESULT IN A BAN" it wouldn't even be possible to make people know there's an issue. And this is broken whether it's groups or not, do you expect every solo queue player that gets tunneled out to spectate thte remaining 10 minutes of a match?
It's beyond silly to think you could prove anyone was abusing it rather than doing the exact expected action to take after your game has ended.
-
Skull Merchant, Knight, and Legion in the terms of knowing the matche is going to be miserable and boring.
Dredge is the worst though to actually face because his power gives me a migraine.
-
Every single perk is going to be disliked by someone. You will not be able to please your opponents nor should you really try.
If it makes you feel bad to use perks people don't like, then I would suggest that you use perks that you don't mind playing against. That's what I do, some survivors may not like my perks but I'd never be unhappy going against any builds on any of my killers.
-
Same reason that survivors don't get to see the killer before a match. There's no reason that anyone should lobby shop. Hell killers shouldn't even see the survivors at all prior to the game. Stop people from looking for specific matches, or swapping perks based on items.
-
I permanently run No Mither, so I think yes. I've put it on the suggestions and feedbacks threads and hope someone likes the idea. Given that you're always 1 shot, havign 100% silence is not too strong of a buff, and it would free up my build from having to run Iron Will.

disagree you said it yourself the other modes have been killer sided yet queue times are unaffected in them however queue times for killers will be affected since you need two and with miserable its gonna be i can expect 5 to 10 min queue times for survivors
I'm quite certain that you are absolutely incorrect. People have been begging to kill with their friens since this game was created. No amount of balance issues is gonna keep people that have wanted that from spending the entire time it's available doing it.
-
The only footage we've seen is 2 devs vs 8 people that literally play the game for a living. The skill difference is already out of whack there. It's best to reserve judgement until people equally skilled at the game can give it a go.
Furthermore, the previous special modes have been killer sided. It's just the nature of these modes, they can't dedicate time to making it so perfectly balanced for a short 2 week run.
The final thing to consider is that it will require 8 survivors. If you made it easier on killer or too unfun for survivors, you're gonna have a hard time even finding a lobby with 8 people willing to play. In this instance it is probably better for it to be survivor sided if it is at all, just from a sheer numbers standpoint.
-
I have a very easy time as killer as well which is why I don't use any slowdown perks. Brutal Strength, Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, and then a 4th perk for fun every game. I do this so that there's more of a challenge, why would I make things easier to play?
If you're having this issue and you're still playing in a way that makes it too easy, that is your fault. No one elses. The devs have to balance around average or lower skilled players or else the majority of players will leave. If that becomes a problem for you, change your playstyle or find something else to play.
-
Does anyone know if the silence from Iron Will and No Mither are additive?
I use No Mither almost permanently, and as such hrun Iron Will with it. I don't think that having the silence even through Stridor is too strong considering I'm always one shot
-
That would be wonderful, as I'm a avid Metroid fan, but extremely unlikely as Nintendo would not want it availabile on any platform except their own.
Hell, they were working with Fortnite to add Samus as a skin but withdrew when Epic games wouldn't agree to allow only Switch players to both use and see the skin.
-
I think the devs have stated before that they design a killer power a while before they design the killer.
They come up with a new power idea, get it rolling and continue to work on it and then once it's established enough that they know the general feel of it, they will work on a design that makes sense with the power.
Possibly they've yet to design a power that really works well with the design of a mummy.
-
- It's fun to have conversations when playing.
- It's very nice to increase the chances of escaping from 0.006% to a solid 5%.
-
In my experience it has been fairly killer sided since 6.1. I usually get winstreaks of several hundred when playing killer using no slowdowns and only 3 perks (as I'm a shadwborn diehard).
Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Plague, Pig, and Huntress are usually who I play and I try to make sure I get at least 6 or 7 hooks before killing anyone. All these limitations on myself and it's still incredibly rare for a game to get to the point where the exit gates even get powered let alone have survivors escape.
On Survivor, playing solo is almost certainly a guranteed loss unless your opponent is new or not skilled, and wins can only happen with any regularity in a group of 3 or more, but even then it's not nearly as common as on killer, where I might get survivor escapes on one out of every 20 or so games.
-
I hope it's not just Dredge's darkness mechanic. That effect gives me a massive headache and I have to DC or take chances on hook to not have a severe migraine the rest of the night from it.
-
I honestly don't like Pain Res. Adding an entire extra generator to a match is a lot to have just for doing your required role job of hooking survivors. You can argue that scourge hook placement can mess it up, but more often than not every single game is a bare minimum of having to complete 6 gens. Most times it's paired with Pop, or Jolt or whatever regression perks are thrown on top and you end up doing one gen a grand total of 3 times.
Deliverance gets under my skin as killer often. Normally I try to disperse hooks pretty evenly, and I like winning the game at a gen left or with the gates powered. A sort of final "you almost got out" kind of climax, and there's so many times I'll have 2 people with 1 gen left, I finally find the person who has been elusive for most the match and stick them on a hook. Head towards the other person and the last yeets themselves off the hook and my little bit of pressure vanishes. I don't run slowdowns so I rely on hooks for pressure and keeping people off gens and that can nullify it entirely.
-
For the People and Buck Up can be a problem but background player is fine. Survivors have to bring xtra perks to counter tunneling, wasting an additional half of their perk slots at times. If you're getting so stomped by Background Player from people getting saves then maybe take off one of your 4 slowdown perks and bring Infectious or Lightborn. Maybe stop falling for the obvious traps.
-
I'd love ELvira, but if it's original I hope it's Mikaela's missing friend Julian
-
I just say GG in every match and if people want to get a stick up their but about it then that's their problem, not mine.
