So either your trolling and rage baiting (in which case, well done you got me)
or
you never play survivor once. The reception to kaneki has been great from the killer side (not suprising, regarding the killers state) and absolutely horrible from the survivors side (also not suprising regarding the killers state)
Due to how Kaneki is designed, he takes very little skill to achieve very good results. The combination of extremely high mobility, a uncounterable free hit (through walls) with deep wound and great synergy with strategies like tunneling and camping as well as a wide variety of perks makes this killer extremely awful to face.
Its like playing against an even more annoying legion that has less counterplay and is a LOT stronger because of it.
Either you exclusively play killer or you somehow found the miraculous counterplay that most of us are desperately looking for to make this killer more bearable. In case of the latter, feel free to share your insight. We would certainly love to know.
Kaneki is disliked not because he is strong. Hes disliked because of HOW he is strong. Big difference. Releasing a killer like him every 3 months would make playing survivor a living hell, and therefore reduce that playerbase to the likes of the killer population during dead hards prime.
I have been playing killer since 2016, exclusively. I have only played three games as survivor and I regret them every single time I think about it. My mind is untainted from the survivor perspective, and I see things clearly as how they are, or even, as how they should be.
As for the counterplay thing, I don't know what to tell you, it's not my job to know how to counterplay Kaneki. This being said, I'm sure he has counterplay, it's just that no one has figured it out yet. I pray to the heavens that no one finds it, and he remains unchanged. That would be very fun, playing killer lately has been the best experience ever in DbD and no one can say otherwise. -

A Kaneki like killer every 3 months?
Do you want to kill this game?
Why would it kill the game? The response to Kaneki has been great, almost everyone is happy about his release and I haven't seen any complain worth acknowledging. Now we need even more Kaneki-esque killers to make it even better! There is only one way, and it's up!
-
@I_Cant_Loop said:
what can we do to change this (the perception that he is low effort, high reward)? Easy answer: everyone who is complaining should actually try playing killer themselves. As usual, most of the complaints are coming from people who never play killer and would probably struggle mightily if they actually tried playing themselves.
Everyone who will inevitably downvote this, please feel free to prove me wrong with evidenceThing is, this is coming from some of the biggest names in the community. I learned about this opinion in a consultant's stream. Apparently, other consultants agree as well, which is insane to me.
I don't want to see another nerf to Kaneki, ever. If we could have a Kaneki-esque killer every 3 months, this game would be the best it's ever been in its 9 years. I've been playing killer since 2016 and the game is in its best state right now. -

This does nothing. Confirmed by devs.
Why would they put a button that does nothing? That's ridiculous, it obviously works, the thing is no one actually presses it so we have never seen the effects of it. If enough people press it, maybe we'll get fun per killer in the next statistics. Confirmed by devs

YES! That's it! I always rate 5 stars, no matter what. It really helps the devs so I use it all the time

Nurse should get nerfed and no killer should ever be stronger than nurse.
My opinion is that they should. What's the worst that can happen? Killers having fun?
-
I already said this on another thread about the Ghoul. This situation reminds me of old Freddy, survivors crying wolf, that kind of thing.
The Ghoul with all the nerfs he's recieved over the month is completely gutted, unplayable and no one is playing him currently. -

I understand it’ll make a lot of money as the games (for some reason) seem popular and it was constantly being spammed on Twitter to be added to the game, but it just feels like a cash-grab.
This is the only license that has came to the game that could potentially get me to stop playing as I’m really dreading those annoying FNAF fanboys joining an already annoying DBD community.
Absolutely, also it isn't a classic or even relevant licence to have in my opinion. The only people that care currently are 9 years old, maybe they'll care once they play DbD on 2034 when trapper has a jetpack and the Twins have a semi automatic rifle.
-
The Ghoul with all the nerfs he's recieved over the month is completely gutted, unplayable and no one is playing him currently. He's a victim of the kind of design that plagues this game, release and then nerf once a month has passed
-
This tierlist is okay but I have concerns about the rules. How many hours do you have as survivor compared to killer?
-
I agree, I wouldn't want to be associated with the FNAF Fandom. The only way they salvage this chapter is making the killer very fun and very strong to play, and making the survivor have mediocre perks.
-
@Langweilig said:
They were stronger than nurse.
And? You are only mentioning nurse to use her as an anchor to keep the Twins down. As if no killer could ever be better than nurse. Maybe we should start considering making killers stronger than nurse. Why go down when we can go up?
-
I have a problem with the way you decribed slugging in the title, it should be: slugging is boring * in my opinion.
I really enjoy to slug every survivor, so it should be boring for you, because for me it's an incredible game when I can just sit back, relax and let everyone bleed out without a care in the world -
They nerfed him because of the 6 month cycle that shall not be named. If you know, you know, that's all I will say

Why do you even play this game? You said DnD looks mid and now 2v8 looks mid. You're very negative.
I am very negative, but that doesn't take away from the problems I laid out

That's a pretty good idea, mind if I hop Oni it?
I'm going to claim that sometime, somewhere, a DBD chapter will be mid.
I will make a thread saying this, and when the naysayers come, and a chapter ends up mid, I will come back to that thread when that chapter releases to tell everyone that I was the one who predicted it, and I will boast about it until I'm blue in the face (or red on my fingers rather)
In fact, I'm also going to claim that sometime, somewhere, a DBD chapter will be successful.
I will make a thread saying this, and when the naysayers come, and a chapter ends up successful, I will come back to that thread when that chapter releases to tell everyone that I was the one who predicted it, and I will boast about it until I'm blue in the face (or red on my fingers rather).
Ah, it feels good to game the system.
Fine by me
But I will take the dub on this chapter -
Okay, I have read every single comment, and I must say that my mind hasn't been changed, this chapter is still mid, I will come back to this thread when the next chapter releases to tell everyone that I was the one who predicted it, and I will boast about it until I'm blue on the face (or red on my fingers rather)
@Error_Social said:
I'd like to see the general consensus.
-
There's only one thing that can save this chapter for me, and that would be if the killer is a displacer beast or has a displacer beast pet (high mobility high killrate high potential S tier killer)
-
I am tired of pretending that I slug for "tactics" or "strategy".
When I slug in my games, I watch as all the survivors bleed out on the ground, and I love that feeling.
And guess what? There's a bleedout timer, so refusing to hook when everyone is bleeding out is actually not a banneable offense, and there's nothing you can do about it, there's literally nothing anyone can do that will affect the way I play my games. -
I played two matches as survivor when I first downloaded the game. Never again.
-
Give him every slowdown that he had as addons but make it base kit, make his tps instant, extend the hitbox of his attack for real, because that clunkiness of giving fake hits is amazing and make it so that only hooks can wake you up.
-
"I love to make assumptions about the players I face because I deserve the win more than the other survivors" type post
-
-Survivor is a skilless role
-Map filters, automatic DS, BT and Unbreakable timers and equalizers should be built into the game
-Preserving balance is an idea ingrained in this community by various streamers and it should be removed
-The 6-12 meta month cycle that shall not be named is actually great
-PTB Twins should have been added as is (I honestly don't know why this is controversial, but apparently it is)
-
So you are saying that I should be punished for playing the game as it was meant to be played. Okay

You don't like the rules of the games so putting them aside artificially is fair?
Do you always cheat when you don't like the rules of a game?
First question, yes, when people are playing in MY games, I like to have MY rules, simple as. If I'm playing as killer, which is the driving force behind the game (without killers, survivors wouldn't be able to do anything aside from gens, totems and chests), I believe that I should have a bigger say in the rules that are in place in MY lobbies.
Also, the second question is quite inflammatory, we haven't come to a conclusion yet if this technology is cheating or not, at least until the devs say something on the matter. I honestly see equalizers as the next logical step, we have had filters for YEARS, MAP SPECIFIC FILTERS and stretched resolution before that. What difference does it make if I mute some annoying sounds like chase music? We have arguably been doing and accepting worse things over the years, are we just going to throw all of that away because of sounds, of all things? I don't think so -

Well, but in other Bug Report they pointed that it's not a bug.
And if they made it because of balancing decisions, why there is not a single word in patchnotes? That's what making me super mad. It's a big change to killer. And they hope no one will notice it or what?I guess so, it wouldn't be the first time they do something like this, that's for sure. This problem has been happening since I started playing in 2016, bugs would appear, the community would be confused about the lack of action and then months later they would say in retrospect that it was always a feature. The amount of gaslighting I have seen over the years is not even funny
-
Survivor main detected, opinion rejected
-
Obviously a bug, I will report it immediately and I urge you to do the same. The developers have already removed so many things from killers lately, we don't need this being another thing removed.

The purpose of the chase music is specifically to make it harder to track survivors.
I know, and I don't like it to be that way, so removing it is fair
-
It's not, honestly. I wish I could play PTB Twins on live, it would be so cool and funny and great. I wish one day PTB Twins were in live without any changes and decisive was 3 seconds again. It would be peak
-
Always, always, always, ALWAYS tunnel one survivor out of the game, think of it like this: Killers don't get to play the game until one of them is killed. What you can do is the following three phases:
1. Find and chase a survivor, if you are not able to hit him in 15 seconds or less, go look for another one. Looking at the hours in the pre lobby also helps usually in finding the weakest one.
2. Once you have a survivor hooked, pretend to do stuff like looking for survivors, kicking gens, etc. You are not actually doing all that, you are just waiting for an unhook. Stay nearby, if you see that he's about to hit second stage, stay even closer but not close enough that it would trigger the anti facecamping.
3. Return to the hook as soon as you hear the unhook, make a mad dash for it, Wesker excells at this technique. Repeat phase 2 and 3 until you have killed at least one, then you can do whatever you want in the game.
Sadly, the decisive strike buff has made it so survivors have reclaimed a powerful tool against our efforts, what I do now is tunnel them and slug for 60 seconds, I have a timer that starts automatically as soon as the survivor gets unhooked that tells me when I should pick them up. In the meantime while they are slugged, I just go chase the rescuer, but you don't want to chase for too long because it might trigger unbreaking in the slugged survivor, I also have a timer for that just in case. At this point you should have the slugged survivor, the rescuer being chased and another survivor that got off gens to go rescue the first survivor, easy pressure. If you have something like deadlock or pain resonance, then that's game
And don't say that you don't want to tunnel or slug, this is the type of game you signed up for, I can't help someone that doesn't want to help himself -
If a killer uses a equalizer to remove the chase music and to make survivor steps and breathing easier to hear, I don't see any problems with it. Every other instance I'd say is cheating
-
There shouldn't be a solution because it's not a problem, simple as
-
Revert to PTB Twins please

DS was 3 seconds not 2.
And God no, they were the strongest killer to ever exist in the game, there was just nothing you as a player could do to prevent getting hit. The twins still need a rework, but at least we didn't have to suffer through that abomination on live servers.
DS was 2 seconds at its peak (3 seconds - 1 second with Enduring) and it was the most balanced version of Decisive Strike in my opinion.
Also, the Twins were not the strongest killer to ever exist, 7 blink nurse beat them by a landslide, and you could even argue that Original Legion was better than them. The Twins were the strongest killer of the current game, and to that I say, is that a problem? Is it a problem to have that powerlevel? Because I don't think so, honestly -
Embrace it

As they say: if you love someone, let them free, running in a blaze of anger and fury

Please, don't post about this. This post will notify the devs and then they will nerf him. We have to pretend as a community that Oni is not broken so Oni mains don't get nerfed, for the greater good of the killer community

@Brokenbones said:

This is wrong though
You're forgetting two things:
1) The survivor post-hit speed was nerfed, meaning Nurse, Blight and Spirit all gain benefits from this because their mobility focused powers are even more oppressive
2) Decisive strike, a perk that at 5s only barely slowed down Nurse/Blight now does literally nothing against them. A nurse and blight can basically tunnel someone from 1st to 3rd with little resistance. Off The Record helps but it's also telegraphed, a killer will always know if someone has it because of the built in Iron will. Grunts of pain = No off the record
I am aware of it, and I can confidently say that this patch has been very benefitial for survivors and killers alike, moreso survivors, as always, but very benefitial for both. This patch is great to play right now, there are no Omega Nurses, InstaHatchet, InstaChain, Infinite Legion or really any boring combo for survivors. And for killers, gen speeds have finally been adjusted, although I think it's not quite enough and they should probably add 10 or 15 more seconds, but it's a great change nonetheless.
However, killer regression perks have been nerfed. I am aware that survivor perks have been nerfed, but survivors weren't even meant to have perks in the first place, so they are finally where they were supposed to be, and that is a great thing. That means that skillfull players as survivors can finally stop relying on a perk that was always limiting them without them knowing, and allow them to hone their chase skills perkless, which is the goal of the game, after all.
-
Guys, please realize that this patch is MORE survivor sided than killer sided in their changes, there have been more killer nerfs than survivor nerfs in this patch. If we compare both we can clearly see that killer nerfs don't compensate for all the survivor nerfs. And the menu music is really nice, so waiting for a few minutes is not that bad for killer games. And survivors have their queues untouched, so we all win with this patch.
-
This last patch has really shown that survivor mains are vindictive, vile and vainglorious. Keep the facts rolling, Killer Bee
-
Survivors keep using the DC exploit, as always, and in my opinion survivors shouldn't be able to disconnect from the game because of a bugged mechanic and repeated offenders should be permabanned from the game.

Menos mal que lo has dicho, casi me compro la skin de Ace bestia sexy, gracias
