killer main for not liking people abusing exploits???????
so people who disliked pig players abusing the chase bug are survivor mains…????
I audibly laughed when I saw their response to me as 1) I am far from being a killer main and 2) what did my original post have to do with being a killer or survivor?
Exploits happen during both roles. Some people just look for arguments. It’s so boring. 🤣 -

Found the killer main
I could understand this assumption if I said “survivors who” but I said “people who” as BOTH survivors and killers can abuse exploits in this game. I also haven’t touched killer in almost 2 years as I don’t enjoy it anymore and before that I was far from being a killer main.
I guess you’re one of the people who use exploits to gain an unfair advantage? 🤭 -

People who use exploits are losers so I hope they continue to be tunnelled. 🤭

How exactly does fog help in the case of proxy camping, if the killer can just stand behind the fog (where he was before) and simply wait until he sees someone running out of that fog radius? I get its value only for running risky 50/50, but you told u running two teamwork anti-tunnel meta perks, and fog barely do any contribution.
Few guys in my games followed your logic, and the injured survivor either ran right into my hands (I also did it a few times when playing against undetectable killers) or, simply, I tracked them down. U can counter it as a killer, if not, you need time to adjust
Predrop fog vials work well only on prerunning to specific construction when killer is on the way to you, not standing on specific spot for comfort tracking as proxy campers doing. Or maybe, okay, I get your point against ranged killers, but the whole issue of fog vials that we have bunch of killer that simply deprived of any power if u mess with their sound and LOS. And idk is it fair balance or not.
Because fog isn’t dropped for prerunning or something, u either take huge risk and heal in the fog (and it’ll work only if the guy who unhooked u run builds like this), or the injured person have to run out of fog where proxy camper, who is already standing on good spot, may notice u from any direction. It can work only when u already have something for antitunnel, so, it turns out it doesn't really help. Just risky way to play 50/50.
I also don't get how u can prove “tunneling frequency didn't change”. Before I hardly saw tunneling in my lobbies or it was postponed until 3-2 gens left. Only after that. Now, idk, maybe it's not fog vials but the whole terrible state of the game after this update. That's my experience. As you told yourself, it cannot be universal and u may miss it or didn't notice. For me I clearly see change and I’m not happy. Now I see more and more killers focused on only one person until they dead, and maybe it happens cause devs actually doing something wrong with balance updates. When 99% games is consist of cheese gameplay from specific side, something absolutely wrong. When queues from killers load up for few sec, maybe, it basically means only few people want to play this side, and who left is unbearable or playing really unfun strategies. So, if it's not fog vials, because it's literally the only mechanic that they added + ton of bugs that somehow affects only one side and also caused by vials, explain please what exactly is wrong.
Again, I’m against deleting vials. Finally something “new”. But their charges need to be reworked. People now usually use it mindlessly, bunch of killers unplayable + in bad hands this is simply a tool for sandbagging. Maybe if it was limited use, it will be less annoying. From both sides. In regards to the proxy camping, from my own experience, I’m referring to specific maps. Let’s say the killer is stood just enough away from the hook so that the anti-camp doesn’t trigger but so that they can come straight back when the unhook happens, a lot of maps have blind spots depending on where the hook is, such as near the killer shack or near big trees and other structures. I would drop the fog vial as I unhook and then the unhooked survivor would run away from the hook in the opposite direction to where the killer is currently waiting. So when they come back to the hook they either have to walk through the fog or try to go around it, but by this point the unhooked survivor could have made a ton of distance due to Babysitter and because they were also engulfed in a cloud of smoke, the killer couldn’t keep an eye on what direction they ran into. So at that point, it becomes a guessing game and the more time the killer wastes trying to work out which way to go, the more distance the unhooked survivor has made. I have done this in plenty of my games and seen great success. This only doesn’t seem to work if the survivor accidentally runs into the direction the killer is coming from, but that would happen with or without the fog viles being in play.
If you haven’t been experiencing hard tunnelling in your games prior to the recent patch, then I’m genuinely happy for you. But unfortunately that hasn’t been the case for many people, including myself. Tunnelling somebody at 5 gens to create pressure has been incredibly meta for a long time now and I haven’t seen an increase since the new update. I was actually thinking that it hasn’t been too bad since TWD chapter dropped, but I just love my Babysitter build for when it does happen. Tunnelling definitely hasn’t increased due to fog viles, it might just be that you’re going against more killers now that choose to use that play style. You’ll more likely be in the minority as you only have to look on these forums, social media and look at videos from content creators to see that being hard tunnelled and focused out of the game early on has been prevalent for a while now, so I really don’t know what else to say to you in regards to this.

@tes said:

Babysitter contributed much more here than fog, believe me.
They work together. Babysitter hides the unhooked survivors scratch marks and blood, but a lot of killers proxy camp and can see which direction the survivor went in and if they don’t have Iron Will or Off the Record they can be tracked from their grunts of pain. The fog vile makes it harder for the killer to know what direction they took off in, it also works for the unhooker as it hides their own scratch marks which can lead to situations where the killer comes back to the hook and can’t see the recently unhooked survivor OR the unhooker. I also combine this with We’ll Make It and I am often able to follow the unhooked survivor to quickly heal them. So now we have two fully healed survivors which the killer can’t locate. It’s a massive time waster which is exactly what you need to be doing as survivor. Hopefully during this time the rest of your team are cranking out the gens. I’ve been running Babysitter, We’ll Make It and fog viles pretty much none stop since the update dropped and I’ve got a ton of value out of it.
Maybe you aren’t seeing value in your own games, but that isn’t the universal experience. However, to say tunnelling has increased because of the fog viles just isn’t true. Tunnelling has been extreme long before the fog viles came out. If somebody carrying a fog vile gets tunnelled, I seriously doubt it’s because of the item they’re carrying. I see plenty of teammates being tunnelled and a lot of them aren’t carrying any items. It’s just baseless claims at this point.

As soon as killer see fog vial it’s a high chance he will extra hard tunnel someone in team. I never faced with such frequent tunneling before, and it lasts for 2 days already. It’s simply not fun and annoying play both solo surv or killer
Don’t try to make out like tunnelling has suddenly appeared because of the fog viles as we all know that is a lie. It’s been rampant for months and months now. If anything, the fog viles help against tunnelling as you’re able to hide your recently unhooked teammate. I’ve been using Babysitter + fog viles and it’s been allowing both myself and the recently hooked teammate to vanish from the hook.
Are you sure you’re just not annoyed that it’s making tunnelling harder for you to do? 🤭 -
I personally love using them as survivor and find myself choosing them over a med-kit. Especially with how rampant Nowhere to Hide is, it’s nice actually being able to stealth away from a gen without the killing getting free aura reading. People have became too reliant on aura builds holding their hand. The amount of killers who will kick a gen, spin around once, see no auras and immediately leave is hilarious.
-
I had a recording of this as it happened to me last night but I deleted the video as I assumed it was some weird glitch that wasn’t actually DBD related. It sounded like a male voice to me. I couldn’t hear the words but just the tone of the voice. It was almost like when a radio signal isn’t fully connected and you can just about hear the voice. It really creeped me out when it happened. 🤣

We have the DC penalty so people don't leave at the drop of a hat repeatedly for potentially asinine reasons.
When the DC penalty was off it's almost impossible to go 10 games without a DC from someone. We'd personally like to play a multiplayer game with actual people.
It wasn’t and hasn’t ever been as bad as people make out. I’ve been playing well before the DC penalty was a thing and people didn’t DC as much as everybody tries to make out. It’s the killer players who want to tunnel people at 5 gens and try to bleed everybody out who complained the most as they’re only having fun when they’re actively making other people miserable. Maybe you like that sort of thing?

So you can cherry pick only the games you want to play? Nah you aren't entitled to that. If you aren't going to play the game you queue up for then dont play period.
No. Certain killers deserve to play against bots. The killer in your profile photo included, so I can see why you’re against the idea. 🤭

Because no other game rewards someone for disconnecting mid match.
What you are asking for it to pick who you are going against and ensuring you havs the ideal perks for your scenario. No other online game let's you pick your opponent without penalty, so why should DBD? You're asking to be able to rage quit until you find the ideal scenario for your particular build... and you want to talk about feeding ego?
You talk as if its as win/win for survivors/killers as they will still have a bot in the game, but go on to say that bots are horrible so killers would love that? Do you realize you are contradicting yourself?
Would you also remove the DC penalty for killers? Not into an ideal team, why should survivors be able to quit without penalty and killers can't.
T
Where did I say that bots were horrible? 😘
-
I don’t have one as I haven’t disconnected from any of my games recently. 😘

9/10 if a streamer like you know who calls a perk OP, it isn’t going to be seen in almost any of your lobbies. I don’t know if they purposely do it as click bait for YouTube views or not, but the meta very rarely changes. Most of the perks called ‘OP’ are only really good if you’re playing on mic with a SWF and even then there’s much better options.
-

To what? Selectively chose what killer you go up against? Anyway, the minute one person DCs/Rage quits the whole lobby will. Seen it time and time again with folks offing themselves on hook. If the killer wanted to play bot games they would queue for a bot game.
In my opinion the best games of DBD are the ones that you come back and win when it feels like hope is lost. Can't get those games when folks give up after two seconds.
You don’t earn blood points or gain progression with your rank if you play in a custom bot lobby, this isn’t the same thing.
-
@EinRaikou said:
Its called a forum bruh. You made a post, I respond with why it's a silly idea. And why survivors need to feel comfortable in getting hooks. But go off, sure.
If folks are given the option, it will be abused. PERIOD. And goes against what BHVR is trying to do with the Go Next prevention (which is needed)
I dont abandon for that very reason. I have seen many a times someone abandons prematurely.
I abandon as soon as I’m given the option, it’s such a great addition to the game. It’s not my problem if you brought Unbreakable and weren’t allowed to use it. 🤭

Did I say that? I dont see that anywhere in my message. 😘
That's being addressed through the new AFK system. Separate problem.
But you came in here with an essay nobody asked for? 😘
We should be able to decide if being left to go to struggle state was strategic or not. We’re able to abandon a match when we’re all slugged even though teammates could have Unbreakable or Deliverance (which could tip the balance back into the survivors favour), so why aren’t we able to abandon when we’re left to hit second stage on our first hook as well?
Would you rather be left with a bot or somebody that goes AFK for the remainder of the trial?
-
After looking at people playing as the Teddy bear in the PTB, I can say with certainty that my original assumption was correct. I can see why they’re changing being able to die on first hook as they know this killer is a total ######### show and zero fun to play against.
-
@EinRaikou said:
I think there are circumstances where going second hook is acceptable. Let's say for example the survivors are struggling to get gens done earpy, and all of a sudden they have an opportunity to pop 2-3 gens. I think the trade off of an extra hook state should be warranted.
Just as much, survivors should feel okay hanging out on hook while gens are being finished. I've seen games where if someone is left on hook for 10-15 second, all of a sudden. They are giving up. You have 70 seconds. You can wait a bit whilst someone finishes an objective.
Being on death hook shouldn't equate to giving up/ going AFK, if progress is being made in the game. Survivors also need to be okay with deaths happening. Every game can't be a 4E. If that was th eexpectation, the killers wouldn't play and we would have no game. Same goes for killers. Every game can't be a 4K. I'm fine dying so long as I can see progress being made to others escaping. Folks need to temper their expectations a bit in that regard and I think they would find they'd actually enjoy the game more.
So being left to go the second stage whilst 3 teammates walk around the map or sit crouched behind a rock is an acceptable reason for me being left to go to struggle? Even though I saved all 3 of them during their first hook stages? No thanks.

I agree, I wouldn't want to be associated with the FNAF Fandom. The only way they salvage this chapter is making the killer very fun and very strong to play, and making the survivor have mediocre perks.
I understand it’ll make a lot of money as the games (for some reason) seem popular and it was constantly being spammed on Twitter to be added to the game, but it just feels like a cash-grab.
This is the only license that has came to the game that could potentially get me to stop playing as I’m really dreading those annoying FNAF fanboys joining an already annoying DBD community.

It sucks humans are dirty, disgusting things behind a screen, but fact remains they are. Kids nowadays have learned this, much younger than when I was a kid. This means they get it. If someone tells you to off yourself, and you get pissed, nice work giving them agency in your life. You need to ignore waste-of-space humans and don't let it trigger you.
Regardless, permanent IP ban is ridiculous, and unenforceable. If someone wants to be upset about that kind of talk, then they can send in a screenshot/movie/morse code to BHVR instead of coming to a forum to complain.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3902541#Comment_3902541
You are assuming FAR too much. I understand why he's pissed. He can totally be pissed. Nothing I said was false, was it? Might be viewed as callous, but thats fine. As long as the idea I was trying to deliver is understood.
I don't mind that, as I am in the healthcare biz and get talked down to all the time by people 'who know better'. These forums are no different.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3902534#Comment_3902534
Of course. I agree. Its not acceptable at all.
Does that mean it'll stop? No. Should you engage with such toxicity? No. What should you do? Ignore it.
If you disagree with one or more of those, I'd love to discuss and perhaps, perhaps change my perspective.
I really can’t stand this double standard people seem to have about what happens online vs what happens in real life. Is it really that difficult not to be a total arsehole to people over a ######### video game? Some of you need to touch grass and really evaluate your life choices.
I agree. Double standards suck. Glad there's none here. I dont know what you're talking about with this, apologies. Screen or no screen, I'd say what I said because its good advice imo.
You shouldn’t have to just ignore it though. Which is why I used the PlayStation platform as an example. If anybody messaged something like what’s in the OP to another player they would be banned. No questions asked. Behaviour shouldn’t be allowing players to say whatever they want in the endgame chat without consequences.
And you clearly misread what I originally said as yes there are double standards here. You quite clearly said “Then he'd be like you, unable to understand he's on the internet” - which heavily implies that this type of behaviour should be considered “the norm” online which is why I brought up double standards. Most of the people saying this ######### wouldn’t say it to a co-worker or a random stranger because they know there would be repercussions for their actions. It isn’t hard to treat others with respect and I don’t get why so many people become Neanderthals whenever it’s being done online. It’s like they forget they’re still speaking to another human being who lives in the same world as they do.
I can almost guarantee that if there was an easier / more effective way to report the people saying vile things in the end game chat that it would start to disappear. These types of losers take the game far too seriously and don’t want to actually get banned. -

Odd when parents have the verbage "he got a 4k"
How is that odd? You're implying that there are no DBD players who are also parents?
That was such a weird thing for them to say. Are people supposed to stop enjoying / playing games when they become parents? They’re also acting like saying 4K is some sort of ‘TikTok language’ that originated with the teens of today when it’s been a part of this game for years.
-
@ChuckingWong said:
Odd when parents have the verbage "he got a 4k"
Over more odd when they use a bunch of other verbage and titles that dont match up with how any parent I am aware of speaks.
People are rude in end game chat, report them with the function. How exactly should a parent talk? Do you realise the person in the OP could only be in their 30s / early 40s? I also fail to see what they said that somehow rules out them being a parent as it seems like you’re alluding to them typing in an immature way? I’m in my 30s and would refer to getting 4 kills as a 4K as that’s what it’s called and what almost every single person who plays DBD calls it. Are you saying if I was to have a child I’d have to stop calling it that? You really just typed a bunch of nothing.
-

Why are you letting your child play a M rated game? Also, why are you acting all high and mighty and preaching at a bunch of completely unrelated strangers? We didn't do that, don't have any idea who did, nor would most people condone them doing that.
How do you know the age of their son when they never specified it? They could be 18/19 for all you know. They’re not acting high and mighty or preachy in the OP, they’re stating that the Devs need to have stricter rules in place to deal with these types of people, which is beyond fair to say.
If you don’t condone that type of behaviour then why have you somehow found the OP offensive and like it was a dig at you personally? Pretty weird.

Being on the internet or playing a game “about murdering other people” shouldn’t mean it’s acceptable to tell other people to kill themselves or to get cancer and I can’t believe you’re trying to defend that type of behaviour.
If somebody said those types of things through PlayStation messages then they’d be permanently banned from using that account ever again.
I really can’t stand this double standard people seem to have about what happens online vs what happens in real life. Is it really that difficult not to be a total arsehole to people over a ######### video game? Some of you need to touch grass and really evaluate your life choices.

I love being found 30 seconds into the match and caught so fast that I may as well have started the game on the hook!
I love being targeted off hook, or otherwise watch as the killer bypasses 2-3 other players closer to him to come after me.
I love watching how killers hover over you after a down because they can't pick you up fast enough - wouldn't want to waste a millisecond, would we?
I love being mismatched with ho-hum teammates who act like they just barely passed through the game's tutorial.
I love seeing the same stupid perks on every player.
I love being slugged as the second-to-last player because killers can't fathom risking giving up hatch. One escape is inconceivable!
I love that the devs are more concerned about releasing the next line of cosmetics than addressing pressing issues. At this point, leave the gaming industry and become a fashion business if that's what you like.
And if you're reading this thinking any of the above are unfounded claims, you're the problem with this game and this community.
Aren't most of your points just survivor specific and not solo-queue survivor specific? Being in a SWF wouldn't really solve most of your complaints. But, hopefully the new changes they're going to be incorporating do. I've noticed that since they implemented being able to Mori the last survivor that slugging has became much more prevalent in my games. It was never this bad before as most killers would just hook and try to find the hatch before you do.

"I kinda love the pure randomness of it all."
That's one thing I love about it too. I think a lot of people who use the forums are people who play a lot and have high expectations (not saying anything is wrong with that).
I'm pretty chill. I don't mind if someone plays bad. Hell, I think most people can't claim they never make mistake or have off days. I had a game a couple of days ago where I screwed up two pallet saves that I could have got and got in the way of a flashlight save. Yes, one of the other players let me know in chat by calling me a "Dog tm8" TBF to me I was the only one to die and I did it making sure someone else got out.
TL;DR - As long as I can see all the other players are trying I don't really care if things go south. Sure, I might be saying to myself ######### but it's only the people who give up and don't help the rest of the team that piss me off.
I've been playing since 2017 and I can still have moments where I mess up during a chase and probably come across like I've only just installed the game lmao. It's unrealistic to think people will always play to the best of their ability and have god tier chases. A lot of things in this game are all about luck and RNG and a lot of the time it's got absolutely nothing to do with your skill level. I haven't used an exhaustion or anti-tunnel perk in years as I personally don't find them enjoyable to use and I have much more fun running healing builds or Open Handed + Kindred. I personally value aura reading / healing over being able to protect myself as I find it more fun escaping chases or being able to loop for a long time knowing you had nothing to help aid you during those scenarios. I think because I've been playing for so long, you just grow tired of the 'meta' and realise that when you stop playing thinking you have to escape every match, the game just becomes much more chilled out.
None of my solo queue matches feel the same. I just love having no idea if it's going to be a fun ride or a car crash. I used to play with some friends a few years back but they no longer play but it honestly became stale for me. I didn't like knowing that I always had strong teammates with me / always knowing what perks they were running. I can't imagine playing as a SWF again tbh. I've became such a lone wolf gamer and some of the best and most memorable matches I've ever played have been in solo queue. -
I don't consider escaping or killing as a win. For me, winning is all about how much fun I had during the trial. I'll often die during the EGC to get my teammates out of the trial or let survivors finish generators if I feel like I'm getting too many downs / hooks within a short amount of time. I don't really consider curb stomping a team of solo players or being a gen jockey all game whilst the killer proxy camps / tunnels my teammate(s) a win as those matches aren't engaging at all for me. I think when I started prioritising fun over trying to 'win' I started having way more fun with this game and it takes the unnecessary pressure off.
Now don't get me wrong, when I play I don't intentionally throw games or anything like that and I will try to escape a trial or kill 3/4 survivors. It's just not the be-all and end-all. -
It's honestly a mixed bag for me. I can have matches that remind me of why I've been playing this game for so long and matches that make me want to rip my hair out. But, even with all of the issues solo queue has, I do prefer it to playing in a SWF. I kinda love the pure randomness of it all. Every day in solo queue is like Chaos Shuffle to be honest.

Only thing that prevents me using it, is because vs stealth killers, you significantly makes the game easier for them unless your lucky where someone else had a perk that makes them the obsession.
Object will still proc killer aura for you and yours to them if the killer has any aura read stuff even if your not the obsession but at least they cant see you 24 7 if your not the obsession which then makes it fair, think of it as 2 v 8 aura reveal in that situation.
Honestly that should be a mechanic given in the base game. Killer still can see you but cant 100% brainlessly find by using things like brainless nth oh kick gen there they are you since the survivor will now be aware they are being shown and can have some counter play to it but ofc killers think its unfair.
Yeah, one of the downsides to the perk is if you’re going against a stealth killer, but most stealth killers lose their oblivious status effect when you’re in a chase and it can come in handy then if they’re using any aura reading chase perks. Plus, a lot of perks / builds have other things that counter them, so it’s just the risk you take. It’s like when I bring a full healing / medic build and it’s a Plague. For the majority of the match, I’m perkless. 🤣
-
I wish there was an easier way to report players, especially on console as I’ve noticed on PC you can report on the end game screen and type a message, but it doesn’t give console players the option to type anything.
In order to report somebody I have to report them on the end game screen, save a video of what exactly I’m reporting them for, upload that video to YT and then file a ticket with their support team where it gives me the option to link my video.
I’ve actually had a lot of players over the years who I could and probably should have reported because they were cheating or using exploits and I didn’t because of how time consuming it felt when all you want to do is play the game. -
I understand why people use aura reading perks and add-ons but the sheer amount of them currently in the game has became tiresome. Especially when pre-existing perks have been changed to now include aura reading, which screws over people who don't read patch notes and keep on top of perk changes. It's the main reason why Object of Obsession has became a staple in my survivor load outs. It came in extremely handy when almost everyone was using Weave Attunement and Franklin's. It's lead to some pretty hilarious interactions where the killer thinks I'm hacking as they don't realise I can also see them.

I can see the rage meter being his simple power but not the teleporting. Early dbd killers had no mobility. Wasent till demogorgon till you can teleport across areas. Pig and ghostface would have been next in this hypothetical timeline and they have no mobility
The Hag teleports and she was released in 2016 so they could have definitely given Jason mobility.

Either because we don't have any equivalent of Kindred in 2v8, so we assume that someone else is going for the save. Or if you're in RPD, it's hard to get across the map.
I keep saying we need some kind of Kindred in 2v8, so we can make more informed decisions on when to save and when to stick to gens…
I’d love some form of Kindred. It would make sense for that to be something the Scout class got considering that already has some aura abilities. Maybe this will be something they’ll incorporate for the next iteration?

Happens at the start when everyone is on the same side of the map. Everyone kind of presumes someone else is closer and you get left there for an eternity. Worst is when it happens on RPD with two killers playing together. Have seen one attack the fire escape side and the other (Billy) stayed in the main hall and stopped anyone getting across to the other side of the map. Two people died in cages before anyone was able to get past the Billy alive. Was allowed to happen because everyone was slow to react to what had happened and was a case of "there must be someone closer", until people started realising.
Probably was the one plus of having bots. They would go for the save straight away in this situation.
I’m not a big fan of bots in the normal game mode but they were actually better than most teammates in 2V8 as I noticed how they would prioritise going for saves. I’m actually surprised people complained about them as I’ve definitely noticed a negative change since they’ve been removed.
I’ll play a few more games later today and if it still feels the same, I’ll just stick to playing the normal mode as I’ve got my challenges done. -

Yeah, it's either:
Everyone is gluead to gens and no one goes for saves, so even getting hooked once can be fatal.
No one does gens and everyone is just full healing and saving.
I've had both.
The last time it happened to me (before I headed back into the normal queues) I was left to die in my first cage whilst 5 survivors all stood grouped together taking it in turns to heal each other. One of them was a TTV and after watching it back from her perspective she didn’t once comment on the fact I was caged or that I was left to die. It’s like some people are completely oblivious to the HUD. She even made a comment about how they needed to get gens done as too many people were dead and it made me laugh out loud because of course we’re dying if people aren’t uncaging. 🤣

Only had this happen once, thankfully. I knew it was going to happen though because my team were just so bad. One of the killers was a Legion and my team were all grouped up in one corner. All of them. I was just hanging on hook watching them run around each other in circles while Legion injured them and the Wesker downed them. It was painful to watch. I knew I was gonna die on hook and sure enough I did lol
It didn’t really happen to me a lot during the last event but it’s been happening a lot this time around and last night it happened 3 matches in a row which was when I decided to head back into the normal queues. The worst is when I feel like I’ve uncaged loads of survivors / done gens and I just get left without a care in the world. I wasn’t sure if matchmaking had been tweaked or maybe there’s just an influx of new players? It’s making it difficult to enjoy this mode.

I always find it a little strange when players decide to spare or target others because they are playing a specific character or using charms
Me too! Somebody let me live a few weeks back because the other person was playing as Nea and they said they will never let a Nea escape. I think it’s so weird to dislike a character that much. From what I saw, the Nea wasn’t doing anything that should anger the killer player. Just the fact they chose to play as her was enough I guess. 🤣

The Yun-Jin one is an abomination. It looks like a combination somebody would put together if they’re actively trying to make an ugly outfit just for the fun of it. I don’t know what would possess somebody to combine that shirt with those pants? It’s such a bizarre choice. That shirt looks nice with her default black leather skirt, but with cargo pants? Absolutely not!

I love putting them on my hooks, but I never wear them whilst playing survivor as I think they look so clunky / ugly and they sometimes hang in awkward looking places. I had a funny experience recently where a TTV / well known DBD streamer killed me and let somebody else live because they had on a pride charm and I didn’t. It’s funny because I am actually gay but don’t use the pride charms as I love using the Alan Wake ones.

I got slugged the other day and decided to incorporate Unbreakable into my build (since they gutted Wake Up) and I have only managed to use it once. I know slugging has increased, but I was surprised how little I actually needed to use it during my matches. I'm just keeping it as a fail safe. I'd say that proxy camping / hard tunnelling is seen more in my matches as of late. Both survivors and killers seem really fed up and aggy recently.

Another funny thing I forgot to mention was the Kate who also messaged me was using the "you're so angry" thing, so I asked why I'd be angry when I just finished my last Tome challenge and sent her a screenshot. She then said "omg you've only just finished the Tome? that's so sad" with loads of the crying face emojis. So I replied and said that unlike some people, I also work for a living and don't spend 24/7 playing Dead By Daylight and she didn't reply after that. She tried it! 💁♂️

I read the rest, by you lost me at "tunneling at 5 gens." It tells me what your caliber of team is, which is giving out several hooks before a single gen has been done, when at least 2 should be done after the 1st chase. It also tells me that you don't realize that such a result can only come as a result of survivors looping bad/being inefficient on gens. Instead, you assume that it's all the killer, and all the OP stuff he can supposedly do. Shocking, from someone who's played killer and SWF for 7 years. I get that there's killers who just destroy teams and then abuse that position to be toxic. But aren't those killers just getting lucky? Of all the killer matches you've played, surely you've never had it that easy? So I think you need to look at the real problem: matchmaking. MMR, as it functions now, sort of orchestrates matches. It forces mismatches to hide the imbalance of the game. In reality, when both sides play well, survivors beat killer 9/10 times. But in your average solo match you never see it, because either you're a good survivor and you get dragged down by bad teammates, or you and your teammates are bad, and get forced into a game with a good killer anyway. So I don't like to push stereotypes, but all those toxic Wraiths (it's always him who they play), they act that way because they hardly ever win. They're angry, because the moment they get put against decent survivor teams, loss after loss. That's the experience of most killers. These guys just choose to take it out on other people.
I didn't assume anything? I know that if somebody is being hooked whilst 5 gens are up that they either got unlucky during their first chase or aren't a strong looper and I never claimed or assumed this was because of the killer and the OP stuff they can do. YOU said that, not me lol. I was listing reasons why I don't enjoy solo queue and my teammates being hard tunnelled at 5 gens is one of those reasons. If I was playing with a SWF, it wouldn't be as much of an issue as I know the people I used to play with could crank out generators whilst the killer focused somebody out of the game, but I'll have somebody being hard tunnelled whilst another survivor chases after them trying to flashlight save and another searches chests. You're right that this is a matchmaking issue, but it's still especially frustrating when you're playing solo. I even sometimes go against killers I definitely shouldn't be facing and I can tell the match must be frustrating for them.
Like I said, I can still enjoy this game but I definitely don't play it as much as I used to and I don't find playing survivor as fun as it once was. Nowadays it's rare for me to have matches without somebody giving up on their first hook. It's almost became the norm and it leaves you feeling burnt out.
