Possibly? I mean, they’re pretty much the same mechanic. At first I thought my game was about to crash as I couldn’t move for a second and then Claudette just spawns on my head. Maybe it’s less of a bug and more of crazy timing on my part, but I still thought it was worth reporting! lol

I’ve been playing since 2017 and I’ve been a solo queue player for just over 2 years now and it’s never been worse. Survivors giving up on hook almost every game, disconnecting or just going AFK. Killers refusing to hook or waiting for you to be 99% bled out and then hooking. Hard tunnelling at 5 gens etc etc. I can still enjoy the game, otherwise I wouldn’t play anymore, but it definitely tests my patience more than it used to. I got slugged the other day because I was with a 3-man sabo squad and the killer assumed we were a 4-man and because they were a TTV I asked them why they refused to hook me and they cussed me out but then eventually apologised when they realised I wasn’t with the other survivors and legitimately didn’t realise what they were doing as they were on the complete opposite side of the map to me. I don’t know why, but everybody just seems really angry at the moment. Tunnelling can be a strategy and I understand why it’s happening during some of my games, but I had a Wraith the other night bring Knockout and Third Seal and slug the entire team. It also wasn’t easy to avoid being slugged when you’re playing with randoms and have no way of knowing where they got downed. He brought us to Midwich and had Undying and Thrill with the All Seeing add-on as well, so even trying to cleanse the totem proved troublesome. The match ended with us all being bled out. Where is the strategy? You can’t tell me that Wraith wasn’t deliberately trying to annoy us. It’s just felt so brutal recently.

I actually get more consistent use out of Wake Up! because it activates whenever the exit gates are powered whereas Sole Survivor only works if the rest of your teammates are dead. I know Sole Survivor also slowly becomes a permanent Distortion, but I’ll be a Wake Up! enthusiast until the end, unless they somehow change / gut it too much lol

There’s this prevalent strategy wherein “buffing” survivor perks involves saddling them with unnecessary drawbacks so the perk ends up nerfed (Pharmacy, Calm Spirit, etc) or literally not changing at all (We’re Gonna Live Forever, Decisive Strike, etc) even though they’re alleged to have been buffed.
In my eyes it is an enormous waste of time but I suppose it allows the devs to say, “see survivors look we did a thing, now go buy this new swimsuit cosmetic for Sable” while also not infuriating forum killer mains.
That’s the thing that has me worried because I still don’t understand why they thought that making people cleanse / bless totems slower whilst using Calm Spirit was a good idea, like, at all. I rarely see that perk in my game nowadays and it’s currently a worse version of that new Lara Croft perk and that also allows you to see the killers aura when you’d normally scream.

Hello there fellow Wake Up friend! I’m currently using it on my Alan Wake survivors which just feels very fitting lol. Let’s just hope the ‘tweak’ is just them increasing the opening speed and adding another effect.

I believe that things happen for a reason, although we might not know at the time what that reason is. I genuinely think that me and Chris were destined to meet as everything I went through as a child / teenager / young adult with my own parents made me a more caring and understanding person and I’m glad I was able to help / be there for him on this new journey.His parents are a lot more open-minded than mine were (which he already knew) so they had no issues whatsoever with our relationship. His mum is our personal cheerleader to be quite honest as she didn’t like his ex-girlfriend as she was apparently really manipulative and nasty towards Chris / always trying to stop him from seeing his family. Now everything is pretty much perfect as he’s much happier and I finally feel like I have a supportive family behind me. 💙

It’s nice seeing this thread still receiving so many nice comments. Sorry that I rarely visit here anymore, but life can just get in the way. A little update for you all is that I met another Personal Trainer last year (who identified as straight) and we became really close friends and he started to develop feelings for me and went on his own journey with his sexual identity and came to the conclusion that he’s probably heteroflexible as he’s always been with women / identified as straight but that he couldn’t deny the feelings he has for me. We took things slow and just kept things as friends but now just over a year later we are officially a couple and are planning to move in together sometime this year. We’ve already lived together for a substantial amount of time as we went on holiday for a week in a caravan and he’s been living in my apartment for the past few weeks as I was going through a hardship and he didn’t want me being alone. It’s crazy how you can find love when and where you least expect it. It’s just been so nice falling in love with my best friend.
I guess the real life David King has found his Dwight. 🤣

It seems that other people have noticed it recently. I guess it’s a new bug? I haven’t played this game in a few months and I only started using Bite the Bullet again last night. -
It’s a shame they reverted the glitch as I loved using the pants with his Christmas sweater. Hopefully they unlink it again in an upcoming patch.

Did you buy a cosmetic? They don’t come with the DLC, but you receive them after buying one of the new Chucky cosmetics in the store. I was also confused by this at first!

The Nea making direct eye contact with me as she slams into walls probably has Dead Hard, I don't feel like that's very difficult to ascertain
My friends only ever seem to get use out of Dead Hard when it’s a newer killer. As soon as we’re against people in our MMR range, it becomes virtually useless as killers just wait for you to use it and then swing after. Since the rework, I can only think of a handful of times people have been successful using it against my Myers and that’s when they’re running into a pallet. I find it no more ‘annoying’ than when people use Sprint Burst to zoom away from their gen. I’ve truly never understood why Dead Hard is always such a hot topic.

Dead Hard was recently nerfed. I’m not sure what else they could do with the perk at this stage and I don’t find it anywhere near as powerful as it used to be. Can you still get use out of it? Well, yeah, but you can say that about every single perk in the game. It’s not as reliable as it once was.
Even as a David main, I’ve never fully understood the love for Dead Hard. In terms of exhaustion perks, I’ve always found Lithe to be far superior.

I normally just don’t wiggle if I’m the last survivor left and I’ve been caught. Not because I want to be given the hatch, but I just don’t see the point in escaping the grasp to then have to look for the hatch with the killer right up my arse. I just accept that the match is over at that point and get into another one.
It does make me laugh when people drop me away from the hatch and stand next to it, signalling for me to crawl to it, when it’s quite apparent they’re going to close it when I crawl closer. I just go AFK and make a drink and don’t give them the satisfaction. I’m not bothered about receiving the hatch. Just throw me on a hook and let’s both move on. 😅

I wouldn’t really say that this is an issue with killer mains, it’s just a player issue. Some people just like to be dicks. I had a match recently where a Steve DC’d about a minute into the match as he got downed by a Wraith super fast and then a Claudette DC’d as soon as he did, so I assume they were together. So it’s just me and a Feng with 5 gens and the Wraith chased me for almost 5 mins (as I recorded the match out of intrigue) and when he eventually downed me he just continuously hit me on the hook over and over until I died. This is whilst the Feng sat in the basement and didn’t do a single gen lol. In a normal match with competent players, that chase would have cost him the match, so I’m not sure what he achieved by hitting me on the hook / nodding at me. Why am I being ‘puninished’ because 2 randoms on my team leave at the start? Dicks will be dicks.

I don't actually use Dead Hard, which people always find weird as I'm a David main lol, but I find it more rewarding looping / escaping chases without using Exhaustion Perks. I also find that Exhaustion Perks sometimes make me play stupid and they actually end up getting me downed, because I'll go out of my way to try to activate Lithe and end up being hit over a vault etc - I just seem to play better without them. But I suppose it's each to their own. I understand why they're so popular, they're just not for me.

You’re definitely not wrong about it being physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting! I hate that there’s people still having to hide who they are out of fear of their own safety, but all we can truly hope is that with each generation people are becoming more and more accepting so that less kids are brought up thinking being part of the LGBT+ community is somehow wrong.

I’m not sure about every character, but I’ve always personally viewed Claudette as being Asexual. She reminds me a lot of a girl I used to go to school with (both in looks and personality) and I recently found out that she is in fact, Asexual.

It definitely wasn’t forced. One of the things I’ve seen said multiple times online is about how it came out of nowhere, but it didn’t. Just because we weren’t initially told David was gay, doesn’t mean he wasn’t gay. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Behaviour come up with in the future, but I’m personally glad that the first LGBT+ character wasn’t somebody new, because that could have potentially made it seem like that entire chapters identity was solely based on the fact that the survivor is LGBT+ and that’s not what we want. Being part of the LGBT+ community should be normalised and this is a great step in the right direction. Being able to go on a journey of self-discovery with a character many of us already love is amazing in my eyes.
There’s a great quote from a TV show I love called Orphan Black which is “My sexuality's not the most interesting thing about me” - which is a line that’s always stuck with me as it’s so true. Too many people expect members of the LGBT+ community to act and look a certain way and if you dare do something outside of what they would consider the ‘norm’ it blows their mind.
I just honestly find it crazy that some people think that your sexuality dictates who you are as a person when it’s only such a tiny part of your life. The fact companies are still called ‘woke’ for being inclusive is EXACTLY why it’s important for us to keep fighting for representation as showing REAL people in video games, movies and tv shows shouldn’t cause as much backlash as it does.

Thank you, I've become much older and "wiser" as they say, so I am definitely in a happier place now. 🙂 I came out the other side with less people in my life but with people that truly loved me for who I am. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I’m glad to hear that mate! I relate so much with what you said about having less people in your life now, but having people that love you for who you are, as that’s exactly what happened with me. For the first time in a long time I can honestly say that I’m happy with where I am in life and with the people I get to share new experiences with.
I hadn’t heard of Cavapoo’s until a few weeks before I got Milo but I fell in love with him immediately and definitely found the right breed for me. He’s amazing! <3

Thank you for opening up about your personal story on here. I think many times some people don’t truly understand the importance of why it means so much that we have representation. This is part of why, because it resonates with people who have witnessed the difference between being able to be yourself without question vs being somebody else for the sake of who others believe you should be.
I know I am only one person amongst many, but I am truly thankful to BHVR for doing this. Mostly because they didn’t have to, but also because it honestly felt like a warm hug and then just saying “you belong here and no one can tell you otherwise.” ❤️
