Has the Western world sunk into communism while I wasn't watching?
You guys don't need those items. They are cosmetic. Hence the name "cosmetics". You can grind a full set of them for free too. You'd want the whole stuff? You understand that the developer team has to be paid for all the work they do to keep the game fresh, but you still want everything just handed to you?
Why not petition for limitless access to free beer while you're at it? -

It's a virtual set of clothes for virtual characters in a virtual world. If you cannot get it (although two weeks is plenty), well... I think you'll still do fine. -

I'm quite happy at the moment with lobby waiting times being very short, even as killer, but I'm not sure DBD's playerbase would be enough for two sets of lobbies. I wonder if LoL has a bigger number of players (never played it).

@Fibijean first, feel free to ignore lowbei. Occasionally he presents valid points, but he's mostly interested in trolling and baiting people into little flame wars. Not worth it.
As for casual mode, I think it would be very tough. There's no guarantee the players you view as salty would not find their way in there. Also, if deranking in the current ranking system is possible for people who want to play more casual, it is possible for everyone else.
To be honest, I can't wrap my head around "casual" play anyway. Would you want a killer to assist survivors? Would you want survivors offer them up for the hook? Games like this are great exactly because they're competitive. You try to take competitiveness out of it, you kill the game. Give your best and hardest, and take a deep breath, smile and say gg when it doesn't work out.
Btw, dbd DOES have casual mode, it's called KYF and Survive With Your Friends. -

Well from what I've seen. ngl I don't watch his stream very often, just the occasional YT video, and it's miles less toxic that someone like Pug, ochido, anyone that publicly encourages DCing to derank (or DCing in general).I could be way off and he could actually be a mega-twat while streaming though lol.

"Tunneling = DC" ? What is that? Do you realize how effective a strategy tunneling is (when done right)? Do you realize how much you screw your teammates over when you DC? I know it's feels bad when you are the one being tunneled, but if everyone had the same attitude, then in every game it's either you get tunneled and DC, or someone else, then he DC-s and then the killer picks you up one by one.Losing a game doesn't make you a pussy. Giving up does.

Cheating is a valid reason I guess. But I can tell on PC there are hardly any cheating. Mostly it's just immature players accusing others of it, because they themselves can't take a defeat with a bit of dignity.
Maybe cheating is rampant on console, I don't know. -

I just usually start them with two more or less coherent English lines, then throw in the Chinese spam. You know how mods are, lazy, self-important bums, they don't actually look into it. I just meant, this patch is by no means a reason to leave... rather a reason to stay. It improves the balance a lot. No offense @slingshotsurvivor , but this is a pointless post. Ah I get it now.
It's worth every second and every drop of fake tear I couldn't take it so I didn't watch it all, but it's better than some of those 4 hour long Bollywood romances. -

Killer quitting counts as an escape for remaining survivors ---> 5000 BP, plus whatever you gathered up until that point.
What's more important I think is that some kind of minor reward should be there for survivors who stick around after one loser ragequits.

Sloppy Butcher already became more popular when it was given the Mangled effect. Now it's gonna be even better, not sure if it will make it to meta though. I'm guessing not.
But it greatly increases the usefulness of Autodidact too. -
You can hide though. Much better than looping. Not always possible, I know, but more reliable.
I hope the next chapter comes with some creative stealth perks. -
About time I think. Generally leans towards killers, yes, but doesn't go too far either. It's exactly what we needed. As a survivor, you don't "lose" if you die in the game, whereas as killer you're a failure if there are no kills.
I had 4 games as survivor today, died in three, and they were all good games. The healing change is particularly good, now you actually have to take being injured seriously.
I think one of the problems with this game is that we were too used to a relatively easy escape when playing survivor. This has to be changed. It's a horror game I hear.

I don't even use them as Wraith or Pig. Thicker fog generally favors survivors.

@TigerKirby215 it IS actually a low rate. I keep checking it since the new patch is out and it's always around 0 or -1% for me. Granted, I don't camp much, but still. I was originally worried about this new emblem mechanic but it seems quite benign.

I know a lot of players (some streamers like Tru3 too) are saying sabo buff leads to slugging games and that's not fun, but I disagree. First off, it's not such a great buff (+40 seconds is not that much and they took away Saboteur's speed bonus).
Second, not only I kinda like doing those well planned sabotages to 99% then dropping the hook right in front of the killer carrying someone, but I can respect it when playing killer too. It's not that easy! I had a game (pre-buff) against a funny sabo squad, and it cracked me up every time when the hook fell on the ground right in front of me again and again. They hardly made any progress with gens so they ended up all sacrificed anyway, but it was so funny. Granted, they were also nice players so the friendly convo after game makes it a good memory. But my point is, don't get too worked up about "survivors screwing with you on purpose". This is kind of what the game is about: hinder your opponent any way you can. And sometimes it's really just about someone testing new tactics to play, new loadouts. Variety should be always welcome.

@KillorRun I think he's worth it for his perks at least. Blood Warden is awesome, when it works out (sometimes it doesn't, but still great) and while hardly meta, Remember Me can be pretty damn useful too. Fire Up is kinda garbage.
As for Freddy himself, I LOVE playing him. The others above are right, he is undoubtedly the weakest killer there is, but his gameplay is very unique compared to other killers.
There's a lot of demands to make his Dream Transition shorter (it is normally 7 sec), but it's a wrong approach. The best play with him is use Dress addons, to make it very hard for survivors to wake up. Hwe's got a lot of potential for slowing down generator progress, plus, as @The_Crusader mentioned, he has better chance to turn a 3K into a 4K than anyone else with some skillful slugging at endgame.
I managed to do some 4K-s around rank 4 and 3, but you have to change your playstyle much to adopt to him.At any rate, he's not expensive, plus, you get Quentin - he's pretty much useless, except he has Pharmacy, which is a good perk if you're the hoarding kind as a survivor

I'd really want a BP or emblem (rather BP) reward for the first one out, and somewhat less for the second one.
Sometimes they just wait to see if there's anyone who needs help, but sometimes they just waste the killer's time for that +200 BP for Escaped event, which is annoying. -

@pemberley I LOVE doing gens. I have over 500 hrs as survivor and it's still my favourite thing to do. Scratch chases, don't need that pressure.

I disagree too, @Pie314159265358 . Giving opportunities to survivors to pallet and window loop for 3-4 gens was terrible, it's gonna be slightly better now. And the increase on healing time was badly needed too - it's the perfect middle ground between making repairs even longer and not changing anything. I play a lot of survivor too and it was just too easy, while playing killer have been hell quite often.
Looping must stay to some extent, survivors must have some way of escaping/dodging the killer, but not for a practically infinite amount of time.
Again, the game is going to be a little more stealth based. Much better. -
