This is exactly what I wanted for it. You have to earn it/ do something to be able to use it. Now it has more options for counter play and it can help get the killer off your back after being farmed by your teammate. Something I was looking for, I like it
I would argue it's nothing that you have to earn and more of a situational anti-tunnel perk. Very similar like Unbreakable is a one-time-counter to slugging.

I like everything except the obsession changing because for something like Dying Light if you already killed the obsession, are they alive now? I don’t understand how that will work. That's a good question. I don't mind the obsession changing. But currently it would make it a big DL counter as well, if that the case. On the other hand I'm not a big fan of DL in the fist place. It's not op or anything like that. It's just a bad perk which encourages a one sides play and not a variety of options for a killer.

Also for the record, if you believe that your win condition is personal and not unconditional, then we agree entirely in that regard. I know I probably sound like I'm saying your win condition should not exist, but you're completely welcome to it. The OP shared your opinion but was the one who stated it was the ONLY one, which is why multiple posters have been arguing it with them.Great - then we have no problem with each other. As for the OP, I think NuclearBurrito started this thread only as a reply to someone who stated, "PIP IS THE WIN CONDITION AS DEFINIED BY THE GAME. Any other "win condition" is purely imaginary and of your own accord" in another thread. So I can definitely understand NuclearBurrito's frustration. Of course, I don't know his motive, so I could be wrong about that also.
Mostly when someone said that because pipping is the win condition defined by the game (which it isn't) that it should thus be the metric used for balance.
But yes this is a reply to someone saying that
One would have to assume that if "PIP IS THE WIN CONDITION AS DEFINIED BY THE GAME" than with the removal of the RANKING system would then remove PIPPING.
If you can't pip, by @knell description of a win . . well I guess you could not win or lose . .
Brilliant.
Actually removing the pipping already exists in KYF. By those who think pipping means "Win/Lose", it would mean that any KYF would be a match with no win/lose....
If you would shrink DbD down to the basics of the game, getting rid of all the stuff which only "adds" to the core experience, then you wouldn't have any BP or Pips. It would be only four survivors and a killer, spawning on a map with objectives to survive. For each survivor it would only matter if they live or die. For the killer it would only matter how many survivor escape/get killed. For me that's a definitiv win condition for the game.
The thing about it: The win condition of a game isn't everything. DbD has all this stuff, which "adds" to the game like BP, grind, a rank system and pipping as incentive for people to define personal goals and to cultivate a community. A community which plays and enjoys a game. Because like said. a "win" can be very cheap. In my opinion it's not healthy for the community to discuss about some kind of win condition. The question is: "How can we make the game enjoyable" And just looking at the win condition isn't the way to achieve that.

Yeah ptb is dropping either tomorrow or next week... but unless they are super busy working on this chapter we should be getting a stream and info regarding the ptb and a teaser tomorrowThere isn't a teaser yet. So no reason for believing a ptb tomorrow. Besides that, I wouldn't necessarly expect it on tuesday. I know by the math and expectations it usually should be next week, but it can always happen in game development that stuff gets puished back. Just remember the Spirit release which everybody expected two weeks after PTB to happen. Everybody was disappointed about something which was never promised to happen.

I can't see Canadian devs doing anything related to the carnival celebrations which is not really considered a bigh thing in media. It's even misleading, because in the US carnival means something different and it's the dominant culture in media
Really just wait and see. There aren't any signs or teases so far and not much to speculate on yet. -

I would say fall 2019 isn't rushed. Besides people were asking for a Switch version quite a while and they are working on general optimization of the game righ now. We just have to wait and see.

fact is that this game is balanced around 1 Killer and 4 'Random' Survivors. It's designed around 1 Killer vs 4 'random' survivors with altruism and teamwork as only an option. But it's not balanced, because this core design is unbalancable. You either make the killer so strong, that survivor have to be complete teamplayers to escape or you give the balance strength towards the single survivor, so they have still a chance, when they can't rely on teammates. In DbD is currently more balanced to the second approach. I mean, it was onyl meant as a 'fun casual' you play from time to time. That's why even perks like DS exist in the first place or the hatch.
And I personally that's the design approach which hurts killers and balance more, than SWF. The "SWF issue" is just the outcome of this, because they work more likely together they reach the full strength potential of survivors. But four randoms can reach it as well.@TrAiNwReCk said:
Onto balance finally, the idea is that within a SWF group, and only within a SWF group each member is limited to a unique perk and item. It's that simple. The only thing that cannot be balanced is the free flow of information through communication, but SWF has earned that right. They are a special bunch, had only the 4 'Random' Survivors had such technology before being sent into a horrific trial with any hope of surviving the the Killer, the game would be called Survive By Daylight. No Special SWF Unit armed with toolboxes with speed add-ons, sabotage squads 99% every hook using no mither ect. And no 4 man SC, DS, SB, BT . . . whatever combo of perks you can think of efficient SWF running.
Any form of limitation of SWF is a bad idea. It would alienate the playerbase and undercutting their freedom. And keep in mind that the experience of a 2-person-SWF, a 3-person-SWF and a 4-person-SWF is complete different as well. And let's not start talking about playstyles. SWF groups exists with different mentalitties.
Besides that it's technical possible for Randoms to become an efficient SWF group, if they just share a Discord link during the Lobby wait group etc.
It's just SWF is not one big predeterment group or 'problem' in the game. It's onyl problematic in certain situations and combinations. Like your DS example. But this shows just how broken DS is as a perk. Especially the wiggle DS, which is just bad Design.
Actually you can't 100% balance this game. It's core design doesn't make it possible. The onyl thing I see, which can be done is weakening the strong tools survivors can have, so their potential strength is limited. That's stuff Devs did in the past and are planning to do in the future as well. (DS rework e.g.) -

Anythings an exploit these days. Breathing...Is an exploit.Well to be fair. Moonwalking or looking down as Legion is kinda a way were you avoid the game to register a chase, even though you are chasing at the moment. It's up to the devs to decide or define it. But it can be considered as an exploit.
I mean if I look into a another game recently (Sea of Thieves), a technique called double gunning (pistol sniper) was considered an exploit. Even though it wasn't any bug people exploited. Just the fact that you can hipshoot immediatly switching between weapons. They didn't ban anyone for doing it. They just took it out of the game. But I wanted to say is that certain techniques can be considered unwanted design or actually exploits. It's the devs to decide.
Currently it isn't. Just something they are concerned. Its kind of common sense, if you're able to walk backwards physically...Then its not really an exploit, and if it WAS one for whatever reason they can't stop/fix it.
It's not that simple. The game has a mechanic, which defines a chase happening or not. Yes, you are able to moonwalk/walk backwards. The game allows it. But outplaying the chase mechanic on purpose to get the DW timer ticking while actually still chasing is unintended gameplay/design. Like I said. It's a definiton thing. I can understand it, if people see it as an exploit.
In your case, you probably had very toxic players to deal with. I understand, why you decided for that tactic. On the other hand, I'm not even sure, if moonwalking is so much stronger, than just down them with several frenzy hits. But's that another topic.

I would really love to see a flamethrower killer in the game. I would imagine the flamethrower to work as an midrange AOE attack, which only deals single damage to survivors, can be stopped by walls and pallets. But also sets pallets, lockers and chests on fire. Those objects, when the burn can't be interacted with.
Survivors in a locker automaticly jump out of it injured, when it's set on fire. And pallets get destroyed, when they burned out.
Besides that I would imagine the killer to get some kind of passive buff, when beeing in range of a burning object (less than 8m). So it would be a tactical choice for the killer to set things on flames once in a while. And yes, it's something I'm hoping for a while and already pushed some thoughts into it, to be honest.^^

I disagree. Legion has to respect pallets and walls, unless he uses Frenzy in which case you can take a few hits while he messes about activating it and de-activating it.
Nurse just teleports through and hits you. She can down 100 times faster than Legion can. Plus nothing in the game sucks as much as a Nurse who just blinks across the map to tunnel on every unhook, it's so lame.
You can counter nurse by breaking line of sight and going somewhere the nurse doesn't expect. Legion you can't because as soon as you think you're far enough he just runs and catches up.
And yet Nurse has topped every tier list for years, while Legion normally rates pretty low.
So it's not as sinple as you make it sound.
Tier list have nothing about fun/frustration. There is a reason why people dislike Legion more than Nurse and that's because there is difference in gameplay experience.
Legion chases are feel completely pretedetermed. You kinda know when a survivor will fall and there is a lack of choices for both sides. Nurse on the other hand feels different. Decisions made by both sides matter. That's the difference between the two. -

This isn't meant to be sarcastic or rude but if your expecting a legion rework it may be a long time I mean freddy who is suppose to have a rework and a perk called DS that was being reworked but yet nothing. Maybe another year or two before legion gets a rework if any.
I know it will takes some time. But I think they will do it at some point and we will have to deal with Legion in their broken current state. The thing with DS is, that they are actively working on it, but they had to scrap it twice and start new. Similar things happened to the endgame rework/changes.

Nurse is all about prediction. She has to predict your movement. Walls are sightblockers, which make it harder for her and even though she doesn't have to worry about pallets that much, she can't relentlessly blink into them, because she is stunable after coming out of the blink.
Like I said only problem with Nurse are certain AddOn combos and that her blinks are probably very vulnerable towards latency. A bad blink can make her hits look really awkward. And only Omega Blink nurse downs survivors really fast. And that's an AddOn combo, which I'm sure will receive a Nerf with an AddOn rework.Well i don't think it would be well received to nerf the nurse even more by changing some of her few good add ons. If they rework her add ons then by changing omega blink nurse add ons so it's not so omega blink then what change will they make to make her other add ons good. Most of her add ons have negative consequences to the her. If they buff other add ons then players will start complaining about those ones. What then, change those as well. It would turn to a never ending cycle.
A Nurse AddOn change would be a huge rework. Like you said her AddOns are a mess in a a lot of ways, because her ability doesn't work like Hillbilly's chainswas etc. Changing values of it messes with the consistency of it. And that's bad for learning the killer, or playing her with different builds. But also makes it harder to learn playing against her, if you can't judge her movements etc.
Nurse AddOns really need something like it's own thread. It's quite complicated rework them and let's put it that way, that I don't think it would be a complete Nerf. It would be a buff in some point. -

At Rank 1 you see a good bunch of purple AddOns. A Legion player without Frank's Mixtape are quite rare actually. Besides even without it the breaking up the chase tactic still works. Just takes a little bit longer, but still shorter than some chases.Besides that AddOns shouldn't be an easy win. They should be powerful but add something interesting to the game. Just take a look at Myers, who has a lot fun and balanced AddOns of high rarity.
Legion is a horrible experience for both sides in design right now.

But it was killer sided... 2 minutes are much time in this game, also in very few games I have seen the flowers harvested in only 2 minutes. A lot of games the game ended with a 4k or only one escaped with 3-4 gens unrepaired. So what are we talking about now? The event (nectar) or repairing gens? Because you complain that you couldn't repair gens, AFTER finishing the event objective. What? Don't recur to the straw man fallacy. The nectar slow down the game for survivors due the waste of time filling the vials, time filling the vial = time not spent repairing the gens. Is not that hard to understand. We are talking about completing the event. Filling the vial. Which could be done in 2 minutes or less. No survival required. More points that completing the gens + escaping alive.
Survivors didn't had to repair gens or escape in order to complete their event objective.
That's why people suicided right after filling their vial. Which slowed down the gen progress of the rest of the team.
Why is escaping so important to you, when it's only more points in the end, but way less that what survivors got from doing a 2 minute objective?
Halloweed Blight destroyd the normal gameplay experience in general, which was an important issue of the event.
It destroyed the killer queues, since survivor mains had to play killer in order to get all vials. The devs had to change the event in order to allow 1 side to get all vials. Because it was unplayable.
Not just that. Everything was suddenly about these plants. People didn't care about the rest of the game. It wasn't possible to play a normal match. Even after they changed the conditions, it still was still horrible and killer queues stayed long, because killers were still be able to do extra bps after reaching the goal and they had very easy matches without any struggle. It was an unbalanced mess which broke the game.

Nurse and Billy are in need of AddOn rework. I would currently say Hag might be fine as she is. Everyone else could use some tweaks and changes.
Other killers reworks are more urgent.
If we would go by urgency than the list would be bigger than Nurse or Hillbilly. Myers is mostly fine, Huntress is mostly fine etc.
Really the most urgent case right now is Legion and Freddy. Legion because they are completely broken and Freddy because a lot of things. Others are just fine, if they get some tweaks here and there. -

Cannibal was originally supposed to be a Chapter and would probably have had Kate as the Survivor as she came into the game files alongside his. Internally, his DLC is Chapter 6, so all Chapters after that are 1 number too large.Devs fixed that with Spirit. She is referred as Chapter9_Slasher while Clown is DLC9_Slasher. Same happened with Legion (Chapter10_Slasher)
And if you look back into the change history the Chapter11_stats were added early January, while the Chapter12_stats were added later around the time the midchapter patch came out.
But to be honest these are just the normal stat entries for the typical achievements they add each chapter. There is nothing you can read out of them, yet. -
I think one of the devs (Janick, I think) mentioned when they talked about Legions design, that Spirit and Legion were very complicated killers in power design and that the next one won't be as complicated as them. Which of course doesn't mean that the next chapter will have a great killer. But I hope that means that the upcoming one will be more straight forward design wise similar to Clown with his bottles.

Not sure if the detection changed or just the way a pallet stun looks/feels for the killer. I got bullshit stuns before, but I think since 2.5 it definitively looks different for me.

You can't fundamently change it.No, the design issues are WHY killers camp in the first place, unless they are just doing it to be toxic, which I would argue most are not. Most are just trying to get a kill in a high stress way too fast paced game that is stacked against them in every way.
I'm really talking about killers who rely completely on camping as a strategy not a taktic they fall to ingame. You know those who camp immediatly the first guy they caught, and don't leave the hook, even though the survivors didn't give them any reason to. Those will never stop camping.
I doubt those are doing it, because they are victims of the pacing of the game. They camp, because they camp. And that is a problem, because it's one playstyle which devs have also consider, when designing the game. Which in the end leads to design compromises, which hurt the entire game. -

Why she's OP as hell. I might record a video of me playing Nurse at rank 6 (my current rank, I haven't had a lot of time to play) if you want. Can you play and record her with and without AddOns? The Omega blink nurse combo is worth to talk about, but I think when balancing Nurse comparing her without addons is important as well.

Worst thing about playing asian or russian killers is that their ping is very stable in lobby. But oh boy when the game starts the ping goes from stable 50 to spiking 50-600.I cant understand how they do that and only thing I can do is to block the ping and leave.
I'm not saying this is the case, but some Killers have said that their ping spikes after the round starts due to their computer having poor specs. The ping in a lobby is not always a good indicator of the ping you'll experience during the actual trial, because the Killer's computer will be under additional strain during the trial.
That's possible. But there are cases when you for example have a stable green ping in the lobby and during the entire game everything is lagging except the killer, who seems to have zero problems. A killer with lowspec pc would have at least some fps issues similar to console which makes it harder for them as well. And by my experience (Germany) a connection with a killer from east europe can already have occasional big lagspikes.
It must really be something with the connection, which get's wonky. Maybe an unstable WLAN or something like that. -

I'm sorry but even without perks Nurse can apply excellent map pressure to slow generators down. If a top tier Nurse repeatedly gets wrecked this bad then we have an issue, but tru3 really is not that good at Nurse. Nurse is basically the equivalent to genrushing in terms of broken strength. Kind of balanced in a dumb way, but also running into a super genrush deathsqaud is just as rare as running into a godly Nurse. For example, Zubat is doing 20-1 and hasnt depipped a single time to rank 2 and hes not even solely playing Nurse. Obviously there's some player skill variable people are ignoring.
Nurse is only broken with certain AddOns. A base nurse with normal ping can be countered/juked for a while by my experience. And I know there is this thought process of a godlike nurse, but it's still a game of prediction and mindgames if you go against her. It's hard to say from my experience, but when I have problems with a nurse, then she mostly has either AddOns or a wonky ping which made her blinks experienced differently.
The problem with anecdotal examples is that it's really hard to judge. The emblem system is kinda broken when it comes to judging players skill. I see it by myself. I always land in the red ranks as a killer. I'm an experienced player, but I doubt I'm one of the big killer, especially because I refuse to go for certain playstyles and still run often into games where I don't feel challenged, while there are other games, where I feel like I had no chance and they were above me. I would also say that you can all killers at red ranks and when I play survivor I see all kinds of killers as well.
I'm also not sure if Zubat is the best example. I've never watched his stream and I think I never faced him. I can't say if he is really that good or not. It's also always a question if the current most efficient strategies for pressure are healthy for the game overall. It's just complicated. -
The point gain is actually better for survivors. Surviving while all 5 Gens gets done.´=> 20 Pts. plus escaping with the vessel you gome to 45 pts.
For a killer to reach that amount of points, there must be 5 event offerings in the game and they need to destroy all 7 vessels (21 Pts) and hook survivors 12 times(24 Pts.) So a 4 Kill with 7 offerings and 7 destroyed vessels. Which of these two scenarios look more attractive?
I doubt queue times will get longer for killers. There won't be as many dcs as people think and even then you get the points done for gens. -
Healing against Legion can be useful in some situations, when you have to move within or through an "unsafe" area, where even a 110% movement speed killer with low terror radius can catch and down you. But yeah most of the time it isn't.

It's not the nicest and most interesting playstyle one can do but then again camping in CS or PUBG is also not the nicest and most interesting thing to do, yet people are mature enough to find a way to deal with it instead of crying out loud.
It's only in DbD where people refuse to adapt and instead rather request Mommys help.
I would argue camping in DbD is different. Mostly because how the game objectives work etc. People hate it, because like PiiFree said it's not the interesting playstyle for both sides.

You failed at every aspect of the chase in order to get on the hook. It's completely fair to lose when you fail. If you didn't lose when you failed, then failure would be indistinguishable from success.
There is not camping thread without your messed up logic of failure. There are situations, where survivors can caught easy. And beeing caught once might be a form of failure, it shouldn't cost your game.

One could simply increase the sacrifice time. Has very little impact on normal players, but gives survivors more gentime against campers.
If camping is that unfun and yet a very effective "strategy", it should be toned down to represent its skill-reward ratio. The easiest strat should NOT lead to very strong results. Same with genrush.
Increasing sacrifice time would hurt all killers. It gives survivors more time to finish a gen they are working on, before going for the unhook. I can count the times survivors unhook in the last second before the next phase.
Those always worked very time efficient.
And it's not a huge issue, because it's boring for both sides. I think if the general lifetime of killers get's improved without making camping more efficient, you will see it less. But it will never be gone completely. -

I wouldn't put too much thought into the Mali hint. Devs are using country names to reference chapter internally. England->Freddy, Finland->SAW, Guam->Clown, Haiti->Spirit, Kenya->Legion. I think Mali will just be the internal name for chapter 11.
-
Not really. Actually best strategy might be to take vessel. Avoid beeing hooked as much as possible. Rush gens and if somebody get's hooked, unhook them, so the killer can't destroy vessels etc. I think the game will actually be quite normal just very fast.

As an injured survivors you still have options to counter it. Actually dying survivors have more problems with it. They can't counter the tracking and it makes BBQ good for slugging, which technically wasn't intended.
-
Nurse is not op-.You just need a different playstyle facing her. She is actually one of the most fun killer to face against, considering how much of a game changer she is to chases.
Only her AddOns require a total rework at some point. -

I stopped reading at "the problem is camping"......But you feel the urge to post about your ignorance? Camping is currently fine as it can be right now, because survivor can counter it by doing the objective. If you lengthens matches, this strategy gets buffed as well. That's why it's not that easy to lengthen matches.
My suggestion was a nerf to the current pallet/vault situation into a state where survivors have to work for getting more defense. In theory this leads to potentially shorter chases at the beginning of the trial and slower gen progression, because survivors would be forced spending their time to unlock some pallets/vaults, if they don't want to get hooked fast. That would be at least the first thing I would try out. Making survivors work for some of their defenses. -

Is it just me or does this seem terribly favored towards survivors?
maybe it is me but why does the killer have to destroy vessels. Killers are already limited by time. Just base their score on hooks and not event hooks.
Because they want survivor and killers to compete during the event and make it a challenge for survivors to escape with a vessel. The 20+ point gain is already a good indication for that thought process. But let's wait and see how the event will look like at the end.
Both sides should be able to gain the coins at roughly the same rate. Right now it sounds like survivor is easier.
Yeah, that bothers me as well. We might even see a huge amount of dodges and long survivor queue times. I'm not positive either. I just rely on the wait and see approach, because stuff might still change until the event start. A small 2.5.1 patch might still be possible. At least I hope for a few bugfixes. Game is just so unstable lately for enjoying an event anyway.

So stupid. Whenever you show those crap people come with argument "but not everyone plays like this"
Yet they don't understand that it doesn't matter if 1% or 99% play like this. Balancing doesn't work around how players usually play.
What's your opinion about the match @Tsulan? Did you noticed any major mistakes made here or not like me?Exactly.... it shouldnt be possible to end a match in just 4mins... the main thing we should be asking is how can bhvr add objectives that wont crush the balance towards the killer
Since the game is heavily unbalanced towards survivors, I'd say there is plenty of breathing room .
The problem is camping. Currently rushing gens and leaving the match as soon as possible is the best counter to it. Problem is the longer it takes to achieve that counter the more reliable this strategy becomes for killers.
That's probably why the devs tried to improved things first with the healing changes. It lengthens the games, if killer chase "normally", while it didn't affect the gameplay for "camping only" killers. At least in theory. In praxis the change was minimal, I would say. I just see more medkits and healing perks now. But that's it.
Also whatever gets changed shouldn't lessen the feel to play the game. I remember how excited I was back when the Pig freshly came out. The concept of jigsaw boxes felt very exciting first, until you got used to it and realized they are barely a thread and more of the same (M1 + Skillchecks)
I think the second objective for survivors should be something which allows them to strategize and help them in chases, if done right and punish them in chases if done wrong.
That's why I suggested from time to time, that probably a certain amount of pallets and vaults could spawn looked. And can only be used, after a survivor unlocked them via an always available sabo action.
At least something in that direction. So nothing changes, when you go against a camping killer, but if you ignore that objective, you will have to deal with a lack of defense, which leads to short chases. more pressure and death. Question is, if that theory would work in practice as well. I'm not 100% sure of it. -
Because they want survivor and killers to compete during the event and make it a challenge for survivors to escape with a vessel. The 20+ point gain is already a good indication for that thought process. But let's wait and see how the event will look like at the end.

And the Offerings for this event are the same as the ones from the Howling Ground, the Red Envelopes. As a Killer, hook a Survivor to corrupt the Vessels in the Trial and make them temporarily destructible. Destroying a Vessel earns Moonrise progress and bonus Bloodpoints
I hope I'm wrong but this reads as if there could be a problem gameplay-wise:
If the killer has to hook a survivor in order to be able to destroy a Vessel, the survivors will most likely have collected the Vessels already before the killer could destroy them.
According to the DbD Wiki corrupted Vessels might return to their starting point. So the only way to prevent them to be destroyed is by avoiding hooks, "rush" gens, grab a vessel and go out as quick as possible before somebody else gets hooked. If that the case, we will see a lot more Noed, DS, Sabo.

I'm just sitting here wondering why the powerrole Killer has to be played rather flawlessly to achieve something while it's enough for Survivors to just sit at gens and hit space once in a while to win the match?I like playing Killer, I like the pressure and the unforgiving gameplay but I must say; if 2 bad blinks and one "not-so-optimal" decision are enough to throw the match, that's way too harsh. Imagine if that was any other Killer besides Nurse? Most likely would've ended up in a 4x escape.
I said it already in another thread: If Survivors can hit great skill checks and priorize gens, they will make most killer depip. There's not much left that you have to learn as Survivor when you know how to use a keyboard & mouse or controller.
Not to mention that those Survivors didn't even play good and still people think that only a truly high skilled Nurse should be able to beat them? That's ridiculous.
That's the issue with asymmetrical games. Even though the game is 1vs4 people expect the game to feel fair for both sides in a 1on1 scenario (chase). Otherwise people would feel the game to be unfair or not fun.
Additional to that a killer has no natural way to control the entire match, while in a chase. The objective is totally in the hand of the survivors as soon as the killer is chasing, which leads to the "Gen rush" issue.
The problem with DbD is that Killers can't really run a good strategy when it comes how survivor do objectives, except the three-gen-strat. But this one requires a good perk-addOn-combo, good gen spawns and can actually be very boring for both sides, because it takes very long time for a killer to down people while working on this strat.
The other option is snowballing/high pressure, which requires short chases(no killer, but many survivor mistakes) to have a perfect match, which is probably why we have this weird mentality in this thread. -

I'm not a fan of the amount of counters to BBQ either I mean it's a perk which can be countered by survivors now by hiding behidn a gen or going into a locker or going within the 40m distance or by Distortion tokens or by just good hiding after tracking wears off. I barely know any perk/ability with so many counters.
BBQ is a good perk, which rewarded the killer with oversight over the map and what is happening, after a chase. Of course you can patrol gens and stuff to find people. Finding your next victim isn't an issue under normal circumstances. But that oversight is nice. Now as a killer you are more in the unknown of what is happening a bit. And that's makes putting pressure on survivors sometimes much harder,. Especially, if you aren't playing a high mobile one or didn't happento play on a map with good oversight in general.
But let me tell you one thing: If you have problems with BBQ tracking now, try learn using Whispers. It's perk which much less counters and still works like it always used to. It's also the way veteran killer tracked before BBQ came out. The only thing you might look for is a good guide. I haven't learned or mastered it by myself. But it's quite reliable for tracking.

A special mode for huntress only. Similar like "Destroy the targets" on Smash. Just with Dwights.
