  • I don't think we'll get a new game mode in version and any major changes to game mechanics will come in the form of DbD2. Im guessing that requires too much coding and adjustments to make it viable or we would have seen more signs of new game modes. Hopefully they keep putting out new chapters between then, and let current purchased killers and survivors carry over to DbD2 when that happens.
Devs already said that they are developing several different game modes
  • Brenda from Scary movie  😂 she is the best
For original: Maybe a cute cheerleader or a footbal jock haha. I mean these two types are always in horror movies.

Because some people play more stealthy and pip and rank up that way super fast without actually learning how to juke. For example if you do a lot of gens, survive without getting hit by the killer have been in the killers terror radius for some time you can get a pip that is how a lot of survivors play, they just do the gens and then exit and let you hang on the hook to die even at red ranks.

Stealth play is the smart play. Juking, breaking LoS, these are all part of stealth.

I know. I like playing stealthy as well but I was talking about those who do not even bother unhooking someone and just let everyone die on hook and cannot even keep a killer busy for more than 2 seconds. I even encountered people, thank God rarely, at rank 1 that just hid in the locker the whole match and came out after the exit or hatch opened. How they got to rank 1 I do not know.

Not every every killer needs to be top tier

Have fun versing Nurses and Billies 24/7.

I faced more Trappers, Wraiths and Pigs at rank 1 than Nurse or Hillbilly. A lot of high ranks use mid or low tier killers. There are some awesome Trappers at Rank 1 who know where to set unexpected traps and get a 3-4k easily.
  • It is not OP. Just annoying because every killer uses it.
  • Feng Min. She is my bae. I also sometimes play Claudette because her new school girl outfit is amazing.

To me, there's no point in maining a certain survivor. I just won't main any male characters due to the hitbox differences. Aside from that, maining a character is purely cosmetic. I just play a lot of Meg and Nea, for some of their customizations. Meg Main big brain

Female and male survivors have the same hitboxes. Devs adressed this already.

    Camping hags and skillcheck doctors.
Love to go against billys. When i hear the chainsaw right when the game starts, i know its gonna be a good one.

Same. I love playing against Billy and hate hag and Doctor. I find that the chases against Billy are the most enjoyable.
  • The Doc and Hag because my ears and my heart cannot handle all the screams and jump scares.
  • Probably someone who never played freddy befor

If you go back to your normal game it will have the event clothing.

I went back to normal, they're gone. Sorry, I was trying to say I lost them after I was done with PTB and switched to normal.

Oh that is a bummer. Maybe try writing the devs.
  • If you go back to your normal game it will have the event clothing.
  • I like her. You can play a lot of mindgames with her. Also if in the end it turns out that she is too weak the devs still can buff her if they want to. Morf_uk mentioned in a stream that The Spirit was too OP during her development so they had to nerf her quite a lot before releasing the PTB, so they definitely know how to buff her.
  • When they destroy one of the totems does not matter which of the two they are in exposed state for some time which means you can down them instantly

The first teaser showed us a ghost in the last frame the second teaser told us the killer was female and that maybe a sword is involved. The hints were pretty clear imo

The second teaser certainly didn't tell us the Killer was female.

The teaser definitely told us that the killer was female. The man in the teaser spoke so we could definitely rule him out as the killer because the devs said a long time ago that that we will never hear the killers talk. Also the teaser showed us a japanese writing which said "reborn" and as we heard the girl getting murdered we knew that she was the one being reborn (and with the first teaser showing us a ghost we knew she was reborn as a spirit)

  • Lol this is the first 'sexy' character in the game. FT 13 is by far worse

Her power seems super good for ambushing. Haven't seen her power in play during a chase, however.

It's kinda hard because scratch marks disappear, but if you bump into a survivor then you can easily hit them.

I also like her. I do not get why people think she is weak. I think she needs time to get used to and play with I mean she is categorized as difficult by DBD. But in combination with some other perks she is strong imo. People will propbably use bloodhound with her in the future to not lose survivors quickly.

New killer is soooo cool. I also like the new survivor but was hoping for a school girl 😂

Feng's cosmetic outfit was enough lol

What Feng cosmetic? She does not have a school girl outfit
  • She is not low tier she is definitely high tier.
    2. She sees their scratch marks and their blood so she still knows where they are and quickly go back to her real form and one shot them
    3. She is really fast during her spirit form and cannot be seen a definitely strong ability.

Maybe try actually playing her seriously instead of coming here and complain. I have watched several streamers play her the past hour and she is really a strong killer if people actually take the time to understand her perks and ability. For me she is definitely up there with the the nurse and hillbilly. She is really strong when it comes to end chases and loops quickly and mindgaming survivors

Update: Dev's just said on the stream that bunny Feng Min will definitely happen!!! They just are trying to figure out how to deal with her hoodie, if they make it part of the head or the body, but in the mean time to keep us satisfied they will bring out other cool clothes while they develop bunny Feng Min.
What time in the stream was this said?
    Around 33:07
  • I don't suppose you know when this was said in the stream, do you?

    Around 37 min.

In the teaser you could see a lamp with a bulb so it is our era or at least 19th 20th century a bit too late for samurais also DBD killers never talk dev's said so once.

They don't talk in-game, but they were capable of speech before being taken by the Entity. I'll stick to the Oni idea.

Well the Oni could be the woman. In the video one time it is said and one time seen written in japanese the reference of being reborn (two times is more than just a coincidence). So the woman could have been reborn as an Oni after she was sacrificed by her father (we see a shrine at the beginning maybe they prayed to an Oni and he sacrificed her to it)
  • Orion said:

The Entity takes people responsible for great acts of evil to become its Killers. This means the new Killer is a Samurai, but more than that, he's an Oni. Oni are malevolent creatures who share a resemblance with stereotypical western demons.

  • Is that all we get for prep? They let us know it'll be out Tuesday and then go onto the "play with the devs" garbage? Did they give any information about what is going to be released on the PTB? What changes are being tested? What the survivor and killers perks and/or powers are? Anything other than "It'll be up Tuesday?"

    I swear, this company...

They said they want to keep the changes a surprise and said all of the important clues are in the teasers. They said there will definitely be a change to Decisive strike soon.

  • Under the mask there is a shrine so maybe the father sacrificed her to the God (mask) and she was reborn as an Onni after that
  • The killer cannot be a samurai. In the video you can see a lamp with a bulb. Clearly has to be at least 20th century. So no samurai. Probably the girl but maybe not the slit face girl
  • so my theory is that it could still be the slit mouth woman if we are going by the urban legend (not carved that was just a take on it) she has her mouth slit by her jealous husband because she was having an affair which could be the scene in the new teaser but from the point of view of the husband to mislead us on thinking it’s s samurai or oni guard to keep that hype up what do you all think?
The man who slits her in the clip is her father he calls her daughter in japanese so no slit woman
  • I don't know how I feel about the change. I am not a fan of Kindred, because in my experience it does the opposite effect of what it is supposed to do. I used kindred for quite some time as a survivior and instead of organizing themselves the other 3 surviviors used my perk to meet up and do gens together throughout the whole match and then escape although the killer did not camp or still all 3 survivors chase to the hook trying to get the bloodpoints and pip and wasting time they could have spend on doing gens. I would wish they would add the option that one can deactivate it when it becomes a standard part of survivor because I do not want it.

If you want streamers like this to go away, then support non-toxic ones.

I am always disappointed that the non-toxic players that try to spread positivity in the community with their streams and videos never get as much views and attention as toxic players e.g. Tru3 is one of best non-toxic players imo who does not need toxicity to pip or win against the players. Wish people in the DBD community would support more non-toxic players and give them more attention.

I dont know what it is but i can not escape for the life of me. I play on Xbox and ps4 and I dont know if it is a connection issue somtimes or what because the killer can hits me miles away it seems like. The bend around corners while I drop a pallet and they appear on the side I am on gets me every time. I was twitch streamers and their character seems fast and keeps a distance. I just plain suck i guess. Not sure if I walk around to not get exhausted and wait to run for chase or what

If you can try to play on PC if you are really into the game and would not be bothered spending money on it again. Console has a lot of issues currently, things like teleporting also occur on PC on occasion but not like everyday or every week. It is really harder to play on console and harder to juke the killer I find.

I haven't seen this addressed anywhere, so my apologies if I just overlooked it.

If you decide to buy characters from the DBD in game store, then buy the associated DLC (or are gifted it from a friend) does the game give you any kind of compensation? Like bloodpoints or something? I know it probably sounds like a silly question.

For example, I have Feng but I don't have the Doctor. If I decided to buy the Spark of Madness DLC from the Steam store...? Then what? Just a waste of money, since I already have half of that DLC?

    Thanks!

You won't get anything. Had the same issue once. Bought Feng with my shards, then saw that you do not get her relaxed outfit when you buy her from the shop so I bought the whole DLC. You do not get any reward for buying the DLC although you already have half of it.

That is definitely japanese numbers on the window there. Confirmed Killer is of Japanese origin.

I meant the milky white figure standing in the open door. It can still be a japanese killer nontheless

  • Clown is fine. Yes, he is difficult to escape from especially if he is played by someone skilled but I find that it is still fun to play against him, it is challenging but not frustraiting. The Hag imo is by far worse and would need a nerf or rather not a nerf but survivors should be made more aware of how to play against her as I still see Rank 5 survivors who do not know that you have to crouch on her traps to unhook someone and ruin the game for everyone else with that.
  • Speaking of signaling to other survivors you're being camped, how does the arm flailing work on PS4? Is that a thing at all? I thought you could just try to unhook yourself.  I've read on Reddit people are doing that
Thd thing is it is not universal for signaling camping. Most survivors I encounter nowadays use the flailing arms to signal that they can get unhooked savely.
  • I would piss my pants if it is the girl from the grudge. Imagine her crawling around the corner while you are doing a gen.
  • Same. I enjoy watching other survivors suffer and die after they left me to die on the hook. Sometimes when the other survivors were real a-holes and I am feeling being petty  I may even thank the killer in chat haha.
  • Yes, hitting a hooked survivor for 3 minutes straight is one example of a toxic killer. It annoys the heck out of me and makes me so angry when killers do it. Or extreme tunneling like ignoring every survivor even injured survivors that are directly infront of the killer because he only wants that one survivor and chases them non-stop throughout the whole game even though the survivor was not toxic and there was no gen rushing.
  • The intention behind t-bagging also depends on the rank I think or rather if the player was new. When I started playing DBD I did not know that t-bagging at the exit was a way of tauting the killer I just thought the survivors had a dance party lmao (yes I was that naive) and always joined in. Some use it to tell the killer to hurry up and hit them others try to brag about their victory.
  • This happened to me a lot of time when I was rank 20 survivor. In rank 6-15 however I have never seen killers do that
  • I’m not even a feng main and I would play her to be dressed in these (definitely 7):

    Yes so cute 😍
  • The new sprint burst is so awesome especially with Urban Evasion. It is so easy to escape killers now
  • Feng min's new outfit is dope. Cannot wait for it. I hope they release her bunny outfit also this year. We have been waiting far too long 😥
  • I think that would be a cool idea to change up the events and to get shelfish survivors to finally get a motivation to unhook other survivors, however I think this also could lead to even more facecamping from some killers who do not want to give the points to survivors (similar to survivors sabotaging event hooks and killers camping event gens)
