  • I don't give the hatch to anyone. I farm if there's only 1-3 survivors sometimes. When I start chain-slugging on Pig to close a 4K, I sometimes lax my chasing on the last guy for more hunting points.

  • Monto, and that's all. Tru3's gameplay makes me cringe because he sometimes does completely illogical things, and then turns around and bitches about how survivors are too strong because of his own obvious mistake. Marth is too good, so his matches are really one-sided.

I know one thread was already here but here is my idea.

    1. Electric Starter. Hillbilly can charge the chainsaw instantly. Downside. Cool down is tripled.

    2. Iridescent Chain. Survivors put into dying state by the chainsaw can't get back up for 60 seconds allowing him to slug them very effectively. This means no unbreakable, no mither, and survivors can't heal them back up. Also if they are picked up the 60 second timer is cancelled so if he drops them then the effect is nullified.

While these are definitely very strong remember these are Ultra rarity so they should worth it.

I fail to see how Electric Starter is any different than his base gameplay of fluttering the saw. It's not like it slows him down or causes any penalty at all.

I remember someone getting banned on Friday the 13th because several (underage--which F13 team pointed out as the reasoning here) girls were harassing him. He talked ######### back, they said they would talk to their dev friend and get him banned, and subsequently did. The girls never faced any repercussions and just went on to trash talk more people with their dev-protection. That game is cursed. lol

Never believe a punishment/justice system is fair or balanced.

yes, a very interesting story behind that one.  i have often pondered what the final outcome was on that.  i drew my own morbid conclusion about what really went on.  interested parties can see it here-https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/2938/whatever-happened-to-that-dilly-dude#latest

He was banned, unapologetic about it, and it upset a ######### load of people that were into the game. His profile was open to confirm it, as it was his only VAC ban. It was a customer service disaster as far as I see it, and just further hamstrung that game.

  • Those screams sound pretty real. If I was going to die, I kinda want to be suffocated by the Nurse. She's so gentle. :3

    Updated often. lolz

I started back when Freddy was released, and it's only the middle of this year that we're actually seeing systemic balance changes.

  • Self Care
    Sprint Burst
    Urban Evasion
-**We're Gonna Live Forever (Wild Card slot)

I also like, and potentially recommend:
-Calm Spirit (if you hate Doctor)
-Balanced Landing (godly where it works)
    -Leader
    -Small Game (Hag/Trapper/Ruin hunting)
-Iron Will (ninja! but blood trail gets me more often)
-Technician (suck at Greats, but don't want Ruin)
    -Spine Chill (anti-Freddy/Pig/Hag)
-Adrenaline (if you frequently make it to late game, but still die)
-We'll Make It (great for hook saves)
-Sabotage (Boldness points, rare shoulder save)
    -Dark Sense (killer vision)
    -Decisive Strike (beware of camping)
-Unbreakable (anti-slug, but also gives the opportunity to be heal-saved if killer gets distracted)
-Empathy (injured survivors running is basically seeing where the killer is)

Remove insta-chainsawing around corners. It's goddamn stupid. Fix the hitboxes and nerf the add-ons.

Do that and its a dead killer. The only reason billy is viable is because he can go around corners in the beginning. remove that and he can be looped easily

    Really? lawl

Nurse doesn't have instant downs, crosses maps slower than him, has reduced movement speed, and reduced lunge. The fatigue on her blink makes it a lot easier for survivors to escape if she fails to hit with chain of 3+.

She can't even use BBQ & Chili even remotely as well as Hillbilly can, and she can defend hooks the same way, still to less effect than him.

Myers is viable. Hillbilly is broken. At the core, they're the same design: build up for a one-hit, only Hillbilly can spam his without addons, never lose movement speed or lunge, and bolt across maps with no penalty, even if he misses a survivor and hits a wall. Even Myers gets penalized more for whiffing swings than Hillbilly does his chainsaw. If all killers got brought up to Hillbilly's broken level it would be a dead game because no one would want to play survivor against garbage like that. It would completely defeat any purpose to map design (not that this game has a consistent spread of procedural on map generation).

Doctor is already one of the worst things this game forces upon new players just trying to learn this game, right next to the idiotic monthly rank reset.

I stand by that Ruin needs to be built into this game (or hex system removed/reworked), map RNG needs to be fixed, and Hillbilly nerfed. No killer with that much mobility should have spammable instant downs all game long.

I don't see any purpose into Leatherface when Hillbilly's chainsaw cleaves/AoEs just as much. The only bonus to LF is that he can hit multiple people in the same saw, but they still have the same cleave. Hillbilly's collision is better against objects, since he can quite literally wrap around them and hit a survivor, or strike through corners because of the way the hit detection system is designed.

Hillbilly shouldn't have full movement speed. Hag doesn't, and she was doing pretty well even before her buffs.

Finally something good to read, I only read killer mains whining, people talking without facts and people missing the point of the topic.

The forums have always been in denial about how ludicrously over-the-top Hillbilly is, so you're always going to get his defenders flooding in. From how insanely broken he is with BBQ & Chili to how unbalanced he is baseline, no one will acknowledge it and they just want all killers to be as broken as him for some reason.

Yet, they act like Nurse is the worst thing in this game.

  • Urban Evasion - The ultimate ninja stealth skill.

Hex: Third Seal - Awesome and useless at the same time. Sadly, it's a victim of the Hex system.

  • Ruin needs to be core to the game in some way, and then removed as a hex perk. Ruin can be game changing in how powerful it is (RNG spamming you with skill checks + good spawn location), or completely worthless (no skill checks/bad spawn location).

Either that, or survivors need another time-intensive objective forced upon them.

Afterwards, it would be easier to balance killers around Ruin if they all had it. I feel for players investing themselves into killers, but don't have Ruin (yet).

  • Ruin + NOED?

I rarely see killers run that combo (two hexes? wuuut) anymore, even the ones that typically do/should (Wraith/Nurse/Freddy/Pig/Hag/Trapper).

You got screwed on RNG because you went down right where NOED spawned, and also made no attempt to juke or disrupt Bloodlust while Pig took the long way on the loops.

So, while that Pig may have been bad, you didn't exactly do yourself any favors. Given her pattern, you could've easily double backed, broken LoS and the chase and caused Bloodlust to fall off completely, and possibly even made it out. She was breaking LoS to try and cut you off before you even vaulted.

  • The fact that Ruin is required to eat a killer perk slot is #########. It's also ######### in that RNG determines how effective it is, both in spawn location, and the frequency at which skill checks appear.

Rework for the trapper ultra rare new addon is amazing, but for hag? Booooo this add on destroy it all her power

Well, that's because Mint Rag has all of the power. Seriously, it's broken as hell.

Depends on the killer. I currently play Hag/Pig and farm/do dailies with everyone else. The only difference between them is Monitor & Abuse/NOED, respectively. It's not needed for Hag, but Pig relies on it.

I call bullshit. Pig has RBT which is used properly can help with your endgame. Saying a killer needs NOED is like saying survivors need DS. No only the bad ones do.

Your traps aren't for securing the endgame; they're for pushing the attrition forward in your favor.

Never believe a punishment/justice system is fair or balanced.

  • I feel like Sprint Burst's versatility is why it's so preferred. It's useful even when not in a chase, such as having to go huge distances to try and rescue someone from a hook, or escaping from a dangerous hook rescue.

Dead Hard is neat, but nowhere near as powerful as the others. It also disproportionately affects different killers.

Lithe suffers from the same problem as Balanced Landing, but to much less effect: requiring a very specific scenario to trigger it.

I've been using Balanced Landing 1 on my Claudette as I prestige her, and it's miserable not having SB, or even Lithe. My only other option was Dead Hard 3, which is bugged for me for some reason. Where I can use BL, it's great, especially for doubling back on vertical jukes. But then some maps have little to no places you can use it... at all.

I agree maps could use a once-over so that the "flee" perks are more equally usable. Right now, Sprint Burst's only weakness is accidentally using it when you don't mean to, which is a problem I also had with Balanced Landing inconsistently triggering on falls from varying elevations, to a slight curb-hop triggering it at times.

  • Doing this in the basement with multiple traps on a bad hook save is funny, but it's a pretty unnecessary and desperate tactic.

  • You face the problem with people having a higher aptitude for certain games. Take MMOs for example. You can take your experience to another game and ease in faster, but some people are straight-up doomed to be low/mid-tier players no matter how much they try/practice. I call this "Casualitis".

  • Hillbilly and Nurse are the only killers that can get away with not using Ruin, and the latter is very, very hard to play at a level where you don't need it.

Basically, if your killer can't hunt to slug until all four are down, they're not particularly geared towards dropping Ruin.

You can buff Ruin's longevity a bit with Thrill of the Hunt, which I've been experimenting with for early defense. However, as a survivor I know it's generally not even worth attempting to cleanse if it'll be defended.

  • I'd consider Hag the strongest, followed closely by the fat ######### that's basically an easier Huntress and even runs faster than her. Pig is good, but you have to have extremely good in-game judgement, and she's brutally perk dependent for top end.

Aside from Ruin, none of the perks any of those killers have really outweigh each other. Make Your Choice is good for Hag and Pig herself if you try to opt out of tunneling. It's a wasted perk slot if you never bother trying to use it. It might also be best on Clown, since he's basically inescapable once he's seen you.

Coulrophobia sounds kinda neat for a Distressing setup where you don't use A Nurse's Calling. Bamboozled is also decent in some cases, but I feel like real window looping is rare because it hinges on map RNG, so its overall usefulness is questionable at best beyond killer shack looping. Hex: Third Seal is cool, but it still counters itself, and the devs don't seem interested in changing the perk at all.

Pop Goes The Weasel can be powerful, but I feel like it's utterly outclassed by Overcharge, particularly if you're going for a 3-Gen Defense (which is even more powerful under Distressing/Unnerving--but it's a pretty boring way to play, imo). The requirement to hook someone first really hampers it in contrast to Overcharge if you like kicking generators in general. On top of that, no matter how good a survivor is, the Overcharge 3 skill check is hard to hit every time.

  • @Hillbilly420 said:
Sloppy Butcher still doesn't really do anything. The extra blood doesn't make tracking easier not unless you got Lery's or Gideon as a map. The extra healing time is nothing.

That extra healing time is not nothing, especially if you're dealing with Coulrophobia + Distressing. It's an alternative to A Nurse's Calling if you want to run Distressing, and it can be nasty, particularly if multiple survivors are injured and stuck in your terror radius.

  • I like her, but the Ambush is weak, so she's really not stealthy at all after the beginning of the game. Many games you can't afford to waste precious seconds on sneaking around, or gambling on the really weak and telegraphed Ambush attack.

  • @serabeth90 said:
Yeah, she kind of is. I started playing the game just a month ago and I was content to just be a rank 20 killer and have fun learning the game and messing around. I now inadvertently pretty much am constantly ranking up and got to 15 just tonight with pretty much 4k each game.

Ahem. But yes, back to hag. I don't even have OP perks on her. I do have rank 3 ruin but the rest of my setup is rank 1 trash. They typically find and kill my totem pretty quickly anyways. I have no tracking perks, unless you count the new bitter murmur (rank 1) that I use for lack of anything better in that slot. It generally doesn't help me at all. Her far range is pretty glorious though and I love the trap setting time.

It's easier for newbie killers to kill newbie survivors in general.

  • Hillbilly's Chainsaw in the right hand, Leatherface's in the left.

  • I feel like I'm speedhacking on the Hag now. The trap and pick-up animations are so fast.

Don’t see any issue with killer seeing items in lobby makes no difference to a survivor, and if it’s because of dodging, I’d rather they leave the lobby then load in see a flash light then DC

People still fear flashlights? Honestly, if you get a save, I'm high-five-ing you as I drop the survivor I'm carrying.

  • Maybe it should show other survivors' positions for a few seconds (2/3/4 or 3/4/5?) after each generator is done. Some fluff buffs wouldn't be bad to lesser used perks.

As it is, Madness 3 should be nerfed, not made harder to escape.

I've always felt madness should get totally removed the 1st time you get hooked similar to Freddy's dream state. But to compensate you'd be more susceptible to further treatment so to speak. So if for example it takes 15 seconds to get to phase 2 then the 2nd time it should be 10, 3rd time should be 5 etc. Now granted those are just numbers and I don't know the exact numbers since it varies on distance as well.

The whole mechanic needs to be reworked. Passively hitting Madness 3 over and over isn't fun, since you become a lightning rod of visibility and your interactions are shut off. It's stupendously easy to get forced into Madness 3, and then hooked, and then farmed. It's E-Z Tunnel oven, and it offers a lot of other benefits already.

It only takes one, maybe two, hit(s) of Shock Therapy and some passive Madness to reach tier 2/3 from the previous tier. It's pretty dumb how fast his focus goes. I get that he's a points-farming machine because he's stupidly easy and less nuanced than a lot of other killers, but he's single-handedly a cancer to all but the top end of survivors--and it takes all four being good and knowing how he works to do well.

I don't understand why getting hooked doesn't drop you to, at least, Madness 2. There's nothing worse than coming off of a hook, and the first thing you have to do is break Madness 3. Meanwhile, if you get healed, that's time for the Doctor to come back, and time for you to scream to give away your position, interrupt your healing, and you're still leaving a blood trail and moaning loudly. You have to stand still, your skill checks are all over the place, and with the right addons it can take a long time to get out (or fking impossible if Distressing/Unnerving). If he's using Make Your Choice, there's no way in hell anyone else will be sticking around to heal you, either.

  • Red Forest needs more trees and foliage. It has less trees than southern U.S. states.

I don't care for any of the maps as a survivor because a better map isn't going to make other survivors smarter.

I prefer Lery's or MacMillan as a killer, and sometimes the Swamp.

  • As it is, Madness 3 should be nerfed, not made harder to escape.

  • I'm glad you can even find a pallet. I hate playing and getting the killer led on me, to end up in an entire quadrant of the map with no pallets. :\

  • He should slow down when he's aiming. I swear he speeds up while he's aiming/throwing his bottles.

  • Last time I was at a hatch stand off, the Hillbilly stayed there moving, but I went to take a ######### and watched 3 YouTube videos before a friend logged on to play and I decided to get killed.

  • If Ambush gets buffed/Sprint Burst can't counter it they can't touch her traps as well.

Personally, I'd rather see Ambush lose the roar (and maybe move at 100% speed), rather than her traps have a better swing in RNG.

However, a better swing on trap escape RNG discourages camping and gives her more opportunity to spread pressure. (Like the Doctor, but less cancer.)

If i can see you within 36 meters as billy, you are dead. Even BBQ and Billy is still counterable. Watch some rank 1 survivor mains and see what they do. Do that. People die from BBQ because they sit behind a wall and think, “yeah, Im safe if I stay here for the next minute.”

OR, Billy sees you and charges to you before the 4 seconds are over, then body block chainsaws you and tries it on the next survivor

I just suicide on the first hook in most Hillbilly games. No point in wasting my time for another 500~ points over several minutes if I can't be the one sandbagging other survivors for points.

  • Pig.

    One-shot spam is for gays.

  • I mean, it's not a big deal if people switch to Bond. This change is kiiiinda low impact, but it makes A Nurse's Calling stronger (again).

  • Down'sbilly ignores the rules of the game. lol

  • It being too strong is one of the few things most top end survivor and killer mains agree on.

  • I was pretty sure Huntress' Lullaby and Thanatophobia affect boxes, but I haven't used either perk on her since before I finished my main build.

I don't think Jigsaw Box skill checks should be like Madness skill checks. Traps aren't meant to have a strong chance of killing you. If anything, Madness should be f*cking nerfed. I think the traps are pretty balanced right now, and statistically, she has a better kill rate than most killers. At most, they could _maybe _shave 5-10 seconds off of the timer, but anything else would be far too easy to get people killed with them. As it is, Tampered Timer with +1 box can be extremely dangerous if you're unhooked into your timer ticking and can't start on your closest box.

I find her main weakness to be in Ambush, since it's the lowest impact part of her by a huge margin. The roar is just too much of an alert to survivors, and there should be an inherent risk against Pig when doing generators/totems in low-visibility areas, and especially at pallets she could mindgame with it.

  • People still spend $60 for games by Electronic Arts, and they get a lot less value of it than Dead by Daylight at $20.
