If they literally just allowed survivors to collect bloodpoints with vials after 30 this ENTIRE problem would be fixed. Being unable to go past 30 is the whole reason killer que's are ridiculous right now.

Maybe they wanted you to play killer a bit.

Its so sad! No more hype for me, this game become boring....very boring...this event broke the gameplay. Killer loby is dead.... maybe i will come back with the new killer....

Don't participate in the event then. Wait a week, it'll all be over. Read a book, get some exercise, watch Vikings, or something.

    So many threads...

  • @Blueberry said:
The only reason it failed is because they capped survivors blood points on the plants which forced all of them onto killer and killed the que times.

A lot of survivors need to learn what it's like to play killer. They're getting to do it at the easiest time, when survivors aren't playing properly, but still. I''m guessing this morning's Hillbilly left with some understanding of what it's like when you're looped, flashlighted, laughed at, and then held hostage. (Not by me).

Poor guy only got one hook, and played a petal too.

  • @Peasant said:
Wait, this might actually be better than it appears at first glance. Since Freddy is in the Dreamworld this means that he can't trigger beartraps right? This would let him chase survivors right into Evan's traps fearlessly.

Freddy: You just set some traps and hide in a corner. I'll get the survivors.

Trapper: But me want to catch poople too!

Freddy: #########, you can't run 10 meters without standing in one of your own traps. Leave it to me.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
    Freddy and Doctor.
Can you imagine trying to "Snap out of it" while in the Dream world with that horrible interaction speed debuff....my God it would take ages and loads of skill checks!

Or Freddy and Trapper? Assuming the debuff works with traps... I never seem to get out of those things anyway.

And imagine how hard it would be to see the damn traps while asleep.

  • @Killmaster said:
Just hook who you can, 3 die 3 escape that's a fair and even match.

    Lol.

My profile is private, but couple of times I week I play on someone else's machine and get hate mail. Got one recently because I didn't try to kill everyone. Like, it's quarter to midnight, I'm tired, and you shits have ran me ragged for 20mins... just escape so I can go to sleep.

  • No more hex perks until they re-think totems.

Survivors aren't even scared of triggering Haunted Ground anymore.

  • @Killmaster said:
I would like at-least 6 survivor's vs 1 killer. More gens or increased gen times and more people for killers to kill can never be a bad thing.

F*ck, no! Herding four cats is tiring enough, I don't have the stamina to chase six of the little bastards.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
It could be cool too if you had the potential to find the key to your teammates RBT and had to save each-other. This would of course be 100% troll bait and break the Pig beyond belief but in theory is a fun idea.

Giving an option for teammates to help sounds like it would be cool. A sole survivor still needs to be able to remove the trap himself though.

The problem is that the option would massively benefit SWF teams, who already have it too easy.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
I think you misunderstood #2 so allow me to correct my wording.
    ...
I believe this add-on should be in her base kit and that Jigsaw boxes shouldn't have their aura revealed until the trap is triggered.

Ah, yep. I misunderstood initially. Thanks for clarifying. I think this one may need playtesting to see if it's good and fair, or a step too far.

However, if you apply a few very small changes (like your third suggestion about the dead box) to traps and also this one, it may have the desired effect of forcing more panic from survivors. If they can't plan a route around the boxes, they're going to be more inclined to start hunting for them immediately (or waiting until the timer starts, of course).

    Gives them an interesting choice.

Edit: I don't run Rules No. 2 often enough to say anything for certain. "Ultra Rare"... sigh

  • @MegaWaffle said:
    My quick buff idea.

1: 6 traps by default so you don't feel obligated to save for endgame
2: Boxes are not revealed until trap triggers
3: Add an additional box by default that yields no key for any trap as a way to lower the instant RNG removal (if you make the first box a guaranteed fail then survivors who know they have no time won't care to try)
4: Anyone with a trap on their head suffers from a 10% action speed decrease to healing (maybe not healing now that we have the healing nerf) generator repair and hook saves.
5: IF the above still yields poor results then have the RBT active the moment the survivor is saved from the down state/saved from the hook and not require a gen to be completed.

    Interesting.

    1. Yes, 4 is definitely too few. Shouldn't need an add-on to increase this number when they're so easy to remove.

    2. Yeah, that'd be nice. But I'm not too bothered by them finding out I'm a Pig. They're going to know soon enough anyway.

    3. Reasonable option.

    4. Or make Slow-Release Toxin and Rusty Attachment common add-ons instead of rare.

I also don't see why survivors are able to get through the hatch with the trap on, but not an open exit gate. I guess it's difficult to find the fair balance on this.

Edit: Related to 4, we also need a rare add-on that applies the Broken effect. Maybe time-limited.

I usually have the bad luck of being near the killer when I’m the obsession so I have little chance of not being found and killed.

Lol. I wish I had more games with you.

I have a vid of one very unlucky obsession who managed to avoid me for the entire game. I finally down him just as the last gen pops (actually, mid-animation picking him up). This was a difficult choice - I felt sorry for him, but also, it wouldn't be a funny story if I just let him go...

Mori it is. Sorry David. :)

  • Some good ideas in this thread. I'm assuming those suggestions aren't implemented when I type this.

The RBT timer's should be shorter. I'm not looking for kills, still keeping them as an alternative objective to slow the game down, but only inexperienced survivors panic when they get trapped. Most others know they have ample time - I even find trapped survivors on gens and making hook saves.

As much as I love the idea of the timer decreasing a chunk when another gen goes, I don't think your average survivor gives enough of a ######### about his teammates for this to stop them working the gens.

  • No. Mostly same reasons as Chester.

(I'm also not someone desperate for BHVR-owned servers)

  • @Murlin said:
Devs, Have any plans to make survivors more atractive?

Kate is pretty hot. And they even stuck some make-up on one of Nea's cosmetics to try and disguise her mutant face.

(Or, to respond to the actual question: No shortage of survivors on PS4, as a general rule.)

  • I'm sure I read somewhere that they want to keep the codebase as multi-platform as possible, rather than have too many parts that target platform x and others that target platform y.

Makes sense from a development standpoint. Sucks in terms of actually getting the best out of each machine.

  • @Gurpsmeister said:
I'm just super confused that as a survivor it seems no matter WHAT style I do, I'm a jerk for doing it? What do you want Killer mains? YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!

Sometimes people complain about stuff as a symptom of a wider problem or a growing feeling of frustration. You may have done nothing wrong but that particular killer had been treated like ######### for too many matches prior.

Just rise above it, be nice, and hope your niceness infects others.

  • @Dabrownman1812 said:
Word, I was just joking lol.

My bad. Sorry fella. I didn't put enough thought into your post before replying. :)

  • @Dustin said:
I don't want to be that guy but what about killer offerings? What would those turn be exchangeable for?

    Hmm..

'Tis is a bit ######### that killers didn't get anything as fun (but ultimately useless) as the Wisps or lunchboxes. BUT the whole event is really about collecting killer costumes, because they're awesome and the survivor ones are few and meh.

So we didn't do too badly on either side.

  • @KoalaTux said:
I just think it should have a 2-3 minute timer so you atleast have some time to counter it and hide.

LOL. Right. So, exit gates are all powered and you want the perk to delay for 3 minutes? You should be out the door already.

Rancor is absolutely fine as it is. Some obsessions just need to learn that teabagging at the gates, attempting unsafe hook rescues, and hunting for the hatch is not a great idea.

In no way is Rancor a free kill. It's just a fairly weak way of giving one person the Exposed status effect.

Edit: And it seems most survivors have figured this out already. If I play Rin, assuming the obsession is still alive at the end, most of them are incredibly sneaky and/or ready to make a sharp exit as soon as that last gen goes. But on a Piggy - well, noone expects Rancor on Amanda.

  • Very few nice people on either side at the minute. Few enough, in fact, that I've been able to clip all the times it's happened.

Survivors - happy to harvest with you there, don't nod or bow, then f*ck off. If caught, will DS you on the way to the event hook.

Killers - pretend to let you harvest but then down you anyway. Then come on here, and moan that people d/c.

If someone is harvesting, I'll leave them be. I got a bit carried away the other night and downed someone, then immediately felt bad and juggled them until they were back on their feet. And if a killer lets me finish the plant, I'll run my own arse over to the hook (or, at the very least, not wiggle when picked up).

But it's becoming so tiring to try and be this accommodating/fair just to get ######### on all the time.

  • Ahahahaha.

    You ######### moron.

Nothing is more unsatisfying when you trap a survivor and 20 seconds later they pull it off :(

Sometimes you have to look on the positive side: like because you've been tunneling protecting them, you get to down them straight away and put another trap on.

    You know they love that!

I'm kidding... of course... would never do that.

  • @Dabrownman1812 said:
Bbq is op, survivors just die when they get found. E

Just addressing the original proposal. :)

I hate BBQ for two reasons: 1) God damn killers just find me instantly, and 2) none of my killers have it.

BUT I'm not convinced it needs nerfing, and I'm 100% certain that introducing even more crazy powerful perks is not the solution. :)

  • @friendlykillermain said:
yeah but still theres no denying if a survivor has a bear trap on with slow release toxin they will not get away ever. i just wish slow release toxin was more common because t is by far my favorite pig add on

Even if they increased the rate by 50%, I still wouldn't get any. The RNG absolutely hates my Piggy.

  • @Toecutter said:
If only i could show you the video of the survivor that disconnected earlier

Not excusing it, but maybe you were a dick? The ######### is flowing freely from both sides at the minute, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't take your word that you were a perfectly well-mannered example to killers and this guy decided to quit at the end for absolutely no reason.

Edit: And this particular guy didn't ruin anything for his teammates - you already said you'd killed them all by then. All he did was get under your skin. If he reads this, he'll be laughing.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
unfortunately ive noticed even in prestige 3 the rate of this add on appearing is unfortunately quite low but still when used correctly she is unstoppable. if they ever buff her she will absolutely become s tier.

Not sure she needs buffing, maybe just give her cheaper add-ons or buff a few of them instead. :)

  • @BLUE_APE said:
But when the very few people started playing him, survivor mains are not experienced with him anymore because you rarely see him, and they are least expecting him in a match......

You may have a point. I dunno. I throw a LOT of bottles - never at the survivor, aways to direct them where Id prefer they go - so maybe that's confusing them. I could be giving survivors too much credit in using them to justify that Clown is a decent choice for a killer.

Hm? maybe I should main clown or freddy? if hardly anyone is playing him, then I'll have the element of surprise.

Well, I'd definitely say put some time in with Clown. If you like chasing people, he's a fun one to use.

I've never played Freddy, but it looks like he has a lot of problems with decent survivors.

  • @azazer said:
Has anyone tried using spys from the shadows? I'm trying to get it to tier 3 before I start using it. But since you can't use auras while phasing, I thought the loud noise indicator would be a good way to track people

Never, ever got any use out of Spies at all. TBH I'm not convinced it's even a working perk.

  • PC / PS4 / XBOX?

On PS4 they're already on sale. I think someone suggested 22nd for Steam, but that's been and gone so I guess not (not looked though).

  • I like it. :-/

And since we're going with a theme of punishing people for achieving their only objectives in the game:

    Degeneration
When a generator is completed, all survivors within an 8/16/24 meter radius receive the Exposed status effect for 30/40/60 seconds.

  • @KingSavageGaming said:
No tier 1 myers is completely immune to all aura reading perks and stealth perks

This drives me insane. I'm so used to Spine Chill going off that these creepy, sly Myers are constantly catching me out. :)

  • Eh? Clown is pretty cool to play.

The point of the bottles isn't to inflict any damage (or even slow people down), it's to control the survivors' movement - ideally before they reach a looping point. If the gas actually caused injury then it'd have to be limited further, like a hatchet, which would take away the only unique thing about him.

Bamboozle is also pretty fun to throw in on any killer.

Thankfully, I rarely see skilled Clown players. But when you do, they're damn near impossible to escape from.

  • Must play with Distressing at some point.

I'm tending to run: Whispers, Nurses' Calling, and Sloppy Butcher. Slot 4 depends on my mood: usually Rancor or NOED but, at the minute, Iron Grasp.

Make Your Choice is ok on her. But, as with Pig, I usually get more use out using Whispers to get the approximate direction, heading that way, and waiting for Nurses' to proc.

I don't have Hex: Ruin yet, unfortunately, but don't tend to have much luck with the hex perks anyway.

  • @stellardark said:
Please make it so survivors can at least still harvest nectar after vials are completed so both survivors and killer can benefit from this event.

Just let the other survivors get the nectar and take it easy for 10 days. It'll soon be over.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:
Can I have the hugs, because I get plenty of the latter from your fellow Pigs already.

    You sure can!

And in-game, nothing says "ggwp" quite like a crouched pig creeping up behind you to give you a hug.

  • @VolantConch1719 said:
Also, yes. Leatherface is bad. I'd say he needs a rework, but I've never seen the movies so I have no clue what they could do. I do like that he can wear the faces of the original 4 though. Nice touch.

He's terrible. But pretty good fun to play. I don't mind low-grade killers if they're entertaining to use.

  • @VolantConch1719 said:
The only reason I stick around is to help any Survivors who are still out there. If I know the killer can instantly down me though, I get the hell out ASAP. Or if I'm injured.

Yeah, no complaints about you hanging around to support your team mates. And it's a difficult call when two survivors are at one gate but don't know the other two are at the opposite gate (assuming you've left all four alive).

I was really just thinking that the 4-man teabagging party who insist you trek over to them just to taunt you tend to disappear pretty quickly when that chainsaw revs.

FWIW For survivor cry-babies thinking I'm deadly serious here - I never kill anyone in the gates. If you're in there, I consider it a loss. I'm not looking for a way to kill you and cover up my failure as a killer. :) Why you feel the need to taunt me from the safety of the exit line, is beyond me. You want to show me how great you are, come out into the map and taunt me one-on-one.

  • sigh

This is what we're up against @friendlykillermain . They want to hate us. It's confirmation bias in action - they see camping and tunneling because it's what they want to see.

    @Dwight_Fairfield said:
    The Pig deserves no love.

That's... just... mean. I shall smother you with hugs until you change your mind. And if you don't change your mind, I'll bear-trap your head and tunnel you until you d/c!

  • @The_Crusader said:
However the ones I play often go around checking jigsaw boxes and if they find you they'll go on a map wide chase just to secure a second hook.

Dude, those boxes aren't cheap. We leave them lying around, exposed to the elements, and those damn crows are all up in there.

So we make our rounds, to ensure that you have working jigsaw boxes when you need them. What do you do? You jump out on us, forcing a fight or flight reaction!

  • @Peasant said:
Too bland. The only reason I'd pick Tapp is to make the "You got Tapped" meme.

    Dwight?

    Hahahahah. Just kidding.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
yeah i once had a game where i managed to round all the survivor sup and bear trap them and was just keeping them in my line of sight

That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. The Fog is a harsh place, and you went out of your way to be the shepherd for these poor, defenseless simpletons.

when a poor misguided Claudette led the charge to freedom and all 4 ran trough the barrier. i still hear those snaps in my nightmares the screams still haunt me i still see them the blood the wriggling bodies truly an awful tragedy.

Oh, the senseless loss of life! It's too much to bear ("bear", geddit).

Unless one was a Jake of course.

    still give more love survivors

Exactly. Got to give a little love to get a little love.

yeah the traps are only to their to make sure they play with us forever as long as they dont power a generator and stay in our line of sight they are perfectly safe!

You know how much they hate us - I was trying to farm with some survivors on the first day of the Blight - a David panicked so much he ended up rushing the exit gates with the trap still on. I even tried to run in and stop him!

If we had a dog... it'd run away.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
ahhhhhhh another pig main good day too you its nice to see love for the most underplayed killer

    Well thank you, kind sir.

I switched from Huntress to Piggy - mostly because I thought survivors would enjoy having me crouch up next to them and give them hugs. But they don't.

Can only take so much rejection before the blade comes out and people get traps on those heads.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
i totally agree why the pig hate people

People are always "Wah wah wah, I had a trap on, why you slug me? Toxic. Reported. Enjoy you ban!" Count yourself lucky, if I was a Billy/Leatherface, you'd be dead by now. The timer doesn't go down when you're slugged - I just saved your life.

Most of the time, I can't even get people to engage with me if I crouch and dance around a bit. :( Noone loves us.

  • @Peasant said:
So what you're saying is that Quentins are basically Gollums

Hahaha. That sums it up nicely, I think.

I don't know why you wouldn't pick a nice character like Meg, Ace, or Kate. :)

  • @Peasant said:
(Also for some reason whenever I play as Quentin female survivors follow me more often and longer than anyone ever did with Jake.)

They're just wondering what kind of creature you are, and whether they can carry you around in their handbags.

I think I've only ever seen two Quentins in the wild. The first time, I was pigging around - you know, slowly working towards a Jake and getting ready to put a crown on his head - when, out of nowhere, this ugly little critter appeared in front of me. Scared me half to death.

The second time, I was just a Meg, on a hook. And this thing tried to put its slimy little hands on me. Like, euw, leave me on the hook, freak!
