  • Not tried yet, but I assume this means Bond no longer shows survivors hidden in lockers? That's no good.

One of the reasons I run Bond is to see when I have a team of f*ckwits who are just hiding and not doing anything.

Whichever you wish to do! Personally the first like was the latter buuuuuuut, I don't mind either way

Hahah. I'll go with attractiveness then...

    1. Rin. A super-pale Jessica Alba... how could that not be a winner?
    2. Meg
    3. Meg
    4. Kate
    5. Did I mention Meg?
    6. Feng is kinda cute...

... But Doc's costumes are awesome.

And the clear winner in terms of personality: Amanda.

  • @Vesperiavi said:
I'm curious, personality and look wise, how would you rate some of your favourite characters in Dead by Daylight?

As in, "best design / implementation" or "holy #########, what a hottie"?

Edit: Just noticed you have Nea on your list, so clearly attractiveness isn't something you're factoring in. ;-)

  • Aside from everything else, why should I (as survivor or killer) be forced to play a game with people I don't want to?

I don't often recognise usernames on PS4, but there are some people I know who I will not play with again. Since I can't block them, whether I'm survivor or killer then I'm leaving that lobby.

  • @JoyfulLeader said:
    Honourable mentions: Feng

Can't call Chinese people that anymore, dude! ;)

  • DS is just a symptom of the problems. IMO it is, actually, fine.

It's a time-management, gen-rush issue when a killer can't afford to miss out on a couple of hooks at the end of chases. You could remove DS completely and it'll barely make a difference to the problems killers have.

Deal with SWF groups, deal with the speed at which generators can pop (or make toolboxes rare), and DS becomes nothing but a mild annoyance.

Did they ever confirm the Hallowed Blight event was meant to be a hint for it? I forgot.

I thought I read that the Blight was linked to Chapter 11. Next DLC would be Chapter 10. Not sure if the "oldest killer" stuff was part of that, or not.

    So, I guess, I don't know anything.

  • I'll happily target and hunt down a Jake. But am not going to waste an entire game if it becomes clear that the guy I'm chasing is beyond my skill level to catch efficiently.

It is sometimes hard to bring yourself to let go of a chase, but it needs to be done.

  • Pallet stuns are BM/trolling now??? Hahahaha.

(I really have nothing to add, just wanted to post in this amazing thread)

You cant get that much toxicity at Rank 20s u know...

I can't get any on an alt account. Long story, and I'm not sharing yet, but survivors 16-20 just haven't learned to be miserable, whining bastards. God knows I've been trying, but they just won't send me hate mail.

  • You could try the restore licenses option, see if that helps.

I bought all the DLCs on PS4 (partly for this reason), and CAN access those characters from other logins.

  • Sorry, I don't want to talk to a load of kids online. If it ever becomes a requirement, I'm out of here.

I'm not a huge fan of multiplayer online games in general. For some reason I got into DbD though.

  • @purebalance said:
I mean I'm weird as a survivor I prefer the maps like the Game, Lampkin Lane, and Badham.

    You are weird. Lol.

Not a fan of any of those, when playing either side.

  • @Venzhas said:
I never said that the last survivor deserves to leave automatically, I just made a point about how it's unfairly easy for the killer to catch someone in the hatch. Not being mad to lose or whatever.

Fair enough. I didn't catch that in your original post.

But it's not quite that easy to catch someone at the right time. Sure, good killers will give you enough space to try and jump in (then grab you), but if they accidentally lunge or mistime things then it doesn't work. And a good survivor won't fall for that anyway.

That's why these stand-offs happen. Noone wins.

If you both end up at the hatch at the same time... someone just needs to be adult enough to say "f*ck it, you win, I don't care".

  • @Venzhas said:
But when you find yourself alone after all of your "team" dies or DC with 3,2 gens left to do, and a mercyless killer that absolutely wants his last kill, you have no chance to finish the gens and open the gates you know it...

So he has to let you escape?

I can't be arsed with these standoffs so will, generally, just let players have the hatch. But you don't deserve it, and being mad that he didn't let you escape is a bit silly.

  • @MartiH said:
Tapp= 50 (I know he's in his 50's but I'm not sure about the exact age)

Don't remember if Tapp's age was ever revealed, but Danny Glover was 57/58 (can't be bothered to work out the months etc.) when Saw was released.

  • Next killer.

I like Freddy (the character/films not the current implementation in DbD) but am not particularly interested in playing him or playing against him.

  • Yes, but the rewards for the "secondary" objective were so great that they became the sole objective for most people.

  • when the killer plays Hex: Ruin but you can't be bothered to find the totem

  • @purebalance said:
The Game is actually considered one of the more killer friendly maps because of the lack of real obscuring scenery.

Oh, I know. And I have no criticisms of it.

    It just doesn't suit me.

  • when you're on your first hook, but the other survivors don't even move to help you

  • when a survivor kites the killer over to you, and you get hit
when the killer is using a mori token
when survivors are still in the game 30 seconds after the last generator is powered
    when Jake hook-farms you
when you see Jake is about to hook-farm you

  • @Peasant said:
This is just a random question, but does anyone carry around afk survivors while they're AFK?

    You mad genius. LOL.

  • @Peasant said:
    Oh yes I do!

I can't even remember what my premise was... but I am 100% certain, and have the forum-accepted amount of evidence (which is none) to prove that, in fact, you do not.

  • Hag (or Nurse)... and ugh... Now... I don't actually have to be this survivor, right? I'm just using their perks?

Can barely say the name. C-C-C-Claudette.

  • @Peasant said:
    I disagree with your claim.

    No you don't.

  • @alivebydeadight said:
    and premonition

Yeah, I tried that one. Didn't get on so well with it - but that was in a general build, it might fit in better in this one.

May as well give it a whirl. Cheers.

  • @alivebydeadight said:
Spine chill can be countered if the killer was to turn around

True enough. Still a nice little perk though.

Maybe less useful now that I have OoO in there.

  • @AnotherRandy said:
Idk about you, but I don't hate every single aspect of this game. Otherwise I wouldn't play dbd anymore. People are just overreacting

I was joking mostly. But this forum isn't an ideal source of useful feedback for a development team - almost noone agrees on anything.

  • @AnotherRandy said:
Also, you need to trust us as community more and give us the opportunity to test those changes more. I know that you guys do internal testing, but you need to let us players test this and give you feedback (for

Us? As in the people on this forum? Who hate every single aspect of the game, and will find something to complain about with every action taken or not taken.

If we could get our ######### together, maybe they'd listen. But would you, honestly?

  • @thekiller490490 said:
Press your standard attack to start Mori in them but don't fully filled the kill bar by releasing it early. Hag is the best for this IMO because she keeps biting their face off. Now go be toxic back to the little bastards.

Cheers mate. Must be timing thing for me, pretty sure I've let go "early" before but obviously did it wrong. Will practice. :)

Clown mori spam is hilarious (seen it on videos only, unfortunately). Spirit's was also pretty funny (pick 'em up, drop 'em, pick 'em up, drop 'em). I was in stitches.

  • I suspect the shard reduction is deliberate, and they're unlikely to go the opposite way.

It's like "Hey, you've played the game for hours and hours now. Spend some real money instead of using shards."

@Eight I know that I'm working on getting Deja Vu, Object of Obsession, Dark Sense, and Kindred for a psychic build for Meg Thomas. For her Fortune Teller's set of course.

I ran Deja Vu on Feng for a while (with technician and I forgot what else, basicaly a "get ######### done" build). I liked it, Underrated perk.

  • I need to understand the circumstances under which the killers can see me with OoO. Time to study the wiki.

I've never really played with Obsession perks (rarely even use DS) so have a lot to learn. I'm used to perks like Dead Hard, Lithe, Sprint Burst, Quick & Quiet, Lightweight, Dance With Me etc. Not these ones.

  • @Peasant said:
OoO is a great perk, then Freddy appears.

Lol. Well, I often make bad mistakes against him. So a build that weakens me against one killer in particular, isn't too bad. Especially when it's not a killer you see all the time.

First version (using Dark Sense) essentially meant I was running with only Bond against Myers. That was fun, and he's super common at the minute. But I actually enjoy playing against him so wasn't too bad. I don't mind losing anyway. I guess this one puts me at an even greater disadvantage, but it's still good fun.

Was great against a Nurse. I ended up the only person (still alive) who hadn't made the gates yet. She was blinking from one gate to the other. Every time she went left, I was running right. And then the opposite. Took a while but I eventually made it through.

  • This is hillarious. Camp away, my friend.

  • @SasukeKun said:
    You're not understanding.

    You're right, I don't.

Are you saying want Boil Over to give you a longer wiggle time - affecting the killers movement but not actually improving your chances of escape?

Edit: Or even, same wiggle time but more movement effects, which would increase your chances of escape substantially.

  • @Rebel_Raven said:
I'm on the edge of retiring as killer, and making it possible for killers to get a game that isn't a 4 man swf by going survivor main.

I was literally (in the literal sense of the word literally) thinking the same thing. Might be time to hang up my RBTs. I can play the game nice and casual, having fun and making progress on the survivor side... or I can spend every waking moment gitting gud to compensate for the massive advantage those SWF teams have.

The latter, ain't going to happen. Just how good am I expected to get to play a f*cking game?

  • @SasukeKun said:
Why would you have to buff and nerf different things? This is only about Boil Over

Because if all of the situational or training wheels perks are actually made super useful, you have balance issues. Not all perks can be great.

But assuming, for a second, that Boil Over is the only perk left in the game that people want buffing...
Noone wants to just wiggle longer, they want to escape. Boil Over is deceptively dangerous - it could easily become a Decisive Strike 2 that can be used multiple times per game.

And if you make it good enough, killers then need to counter with Iron Grasp/Agitation, you force all killers to use up a perk slot for a basic mechanic (picking someone up and carrying them to a hook), so you've introduced a balancing issue there.

I'm not opposed to buffing it, but it's not necessarily simple to do.

  • Played a few games with OoO instead of Dark Sense last night. Was great, except for the constant paranoia about whether they're heading your way because they can see you. :)

sqaudettes are better than the counselors that can beat him to a pulp with blunt objects

    Hahahah. Maybe yeah.

Haven't played F13 yet. Downloaded it when it was free on PSN, but not been interested enough to try it.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
he will need our full support but maybe we can give him a happy life again.

A happy life? Trapped for all eternity facing Squadettes with flashlights?

Pretty sure he'd prefer being dumped back in Crystal Lake and left to rot.

  • @Chi said:
    Garbage.

Lol. Cool. Won't try that one then.

  • Oh, any thoughts on Open Handed? I've not unlocked this and so never bothered to read the description before.

_Increases Aura reading ranges by 4/6/8 metres. _

Guessing that means it doesn't work with Spine Chill though.

  • @PigNRun said:
People insist that Empathy is superior to Bond when it comes to knowing where the killer is during a chase.

It probably is. But Bond is also super entertaining, I love pestering people when they're hiding in a locker for no reason. ;)

I guess the infinite range of Empathy is worth a lot, but being able to tell who's in a chase without them being injured (you can usually tell from erratic movement) is great too. Either would probably work fine for me in this.

Similar debate over Premonition and Spine Chill. Tried both, and I prefer Spine Chill.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
If you are feeling bold try using OoO, its a fun perk if you think you can stay hidden or break a chase.
If you want to keep with the theme of this build you can also use Small Game for finding totems and traps (a vision that danger is near!)

Ah, nice thinking. I tend to stay away from obsession perks because I'm always the bloody obsession and it never works out for me. However, maybe its time I learned to deal with this. Lol.

Failing that, Small Game is a great suggestion. Cheers fella.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
I use to use Alert if I didn't feel like using Bond (since I normally play selfish) but now that its gotten buffed I'm really enjoying Alert.

Yeah, the recent changes to Alert were really smart, and make it a nice one to use. We must be missing something though because, as we're told, survivors have had nothing but nerfs and noone plays them anymore. LOL.

Spine Chill is there to help protect my arse if the killer is sneaking up on me - I love that perk too.

Of the four, Dark Sense is the one I'd like to replace if I could think of something better (but still some kind of aura detection thing).

(And if you're wondering what happens when I'm up against Myers... I get stabbed. That's what.).

  • @friendlykillermain said:
im hoping for nurses calling i really dont want to have to level my nurse to 40

I played Nurse a couple of times on PC... not so bad. And a grand total of twice on PS4 - then I vowed never, ever to play her again.

I did, however, end up with a crap load of bloodpoints right before a double-points weekend and was able to unlock Nurses Calling. One of the best perks in the game - and one of the few times I still get excited as a killer. I f*cking love those little red auras.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
and i had good hopes from last weeks too

Didn't get any last week. So, I suppose, probability may have suggested that I'd have been much happier this week. Ho hum.

BUT maybe I'll love Vigil. And every shrine like this increases the chances that next week is BBQ+Chilli. Er... yeah... right.

  • @friendlykillermain said:
well my tv speakers are ok at best so probably a useless perk for me

Mine are so crap, I plug iPhone headphones into the DualShock when playing killer. Even so... not a great help.

But, you know, it's 2000 shards. If people have them to burn, I wouldn't say don't buy any of these perks and give them a try.

(Overall, I'm inclined to agree with your assessment of this week's shrine though.)
