NOED haters: Isn't it more about you being frustrated about having lost a decent game or two due to bad luck? Well, that ######### happens - NOED or not. You've probably escaped a handful of times where you didn't deserve it as well. Grow up.With you on this one. It's the typical "I played perfectly until right at the end when lazy, cheating, scrub killer used NOED/Rancor, downed me, and I died" response.
When I see Noone Escapes Death come up, my first thought is always "Awww #########. I guess I should've cleansed that totem after all". Then I get (or try) myself out of that gate as quickly as I possibly can.
And if you're on the hook, I'll wave at you as I peg it out of there.

Occupied
Rare Dwight Fairfield Perk
Your cowardice and experience of hiding in lockers has taught you a thing or two. When you are inside a locker, the door cannot be opened by anyone else for 30/60/90 seconds.Broken Hinge
Killer perk
Your keen eyesight has revealed a key weakness in survivor tactics - the locker handles and hinges are on the outside! When a survivor enters a locker within your terror radius, the hinges rust. The doors can only be opened by you for 30/60/90 seconds.Edit: At tier 3 of Broken Hinge, killers can use a mori token to permanently seal shut the locker doors. The Dwight survivor inside is forced to wait until the end of the trial, and then dies.

Suck the flowers until the killer sees you.
Then walk to the next hook and let him hook you, suicide.This. Everyone else is doing it, so f*ck it.
Finished my 60 a while back, but am resigned to the fact that it just isn't possible to have a proper game of DbD at the minute. So OP, really doesn't matter to me if you join the suicide squad in order to speed up serum collection. You do you.

Die Laughing
They say laughter is the best medicine. Recover health by repeatedly crouching while in the killer's line of sight. Once fully healed, Die Laughing has a cooldown period of 120 seconds. -
If my Spine Chill doesn't pop within the first minutes of the game, and there are no indications otherwise, I assume Myers and adjust underwear accordingly.
-
This is a while back, but I once lead a killer to some guy (Bond ftw) who then got downed, teabagged (by me), and then mori'd (with me sticking my Meg in the camera view to get in some quality laughing)... All because he attempted the most-infuriating hook farm/save mid-chase.
Looked at the scoreboard at the end and found he had Borrowed Time 3. I did not know this, because the killer didn't hit me after the unhook.
The shame was real. Never behaved quite that badly since, in my defense.
Edit: Feels good to let that one out.
-
I can't help thinking that it must be a little heartbreaking for the devs that their official forum is just full to the brim of people complaining about everything. No matter what they do, or don't do, people ######### on and moan.
The actual constructive threads, with decent ideas and sensible conversation, and fun threads, are often lost amongst the endless whining.

At the very least, it'll get you kicked out of The Hookers.

The rarity of them is a non issue to me. Basically all my killers are at P3 so the rare ones come up plenty, it's just a lot of blood points to have to keep sinking on them all for only 1 use each time.Can agree with that point of view too. Taking both into account, we're basically discouraged from running add-ons.
-
We were just talking about add-ons in the Pig thread. Makes me wonder if my same arguments couldn't be applied as a simple tweak here - i.e. increase the rarity levels of toolboxes and toolbox add-ons. so that not people can't run them every single game.
Edit: And, as @Blueberry pointed out, the bloodpoint cost of items is another variable that could be adjusted to discourage overuse.
-
@Blueberry said:
We need a pass to bake a lot of addon strength into their base kits and of course adjust the addons accordingly afterwards.I can understand that incorporating many of the add-ons into base kit might be hard to balance (and hard for survivors to swallow), but surely an easy (and very small) buff would be simply to reduce rarity of the good ones so that we actually get to use them more than once in a blue moon.
Or give us some kind of shop so that we can choose which add-ons to buy, instead of relying on the RNG. I don't think I've ever had a modified timer.

-
Like a lot of killers, the devs need to reassess which add-ons actually make Piggy decent and then reduce their rarity.
I don't think Amanda needs that much work really. But I rarely get to run the nice add-ons, because they're too rare.
-
Chase them around and see how long it takes survivors to realise that I'm not swinging.
It's usually quite a while.
-
I, Eight, promise to be the ray of light for everyone to see on this forum. I'm gonna be a better example and will show others what it's like to be a beacon.
Unless you're a Jake main. In which case, f*ck you - I'm coming for you, you hook-farming little bastard. Hope you like traps on your head, noob!
Edit: Did I do that right?
-
Runners High
A vigorous workout triggers euphoria in you. After escaping a chase, you are immune to status effects (except exhaustion) for 30/45/60 seconds. Prevents sleep, but does not wake the survivor from the dream state. -
@SovererignKing said:
I just want to give the Killer a laugh maybe and some points for smacking me.If you legit make it funny, I won't hate you for it. But if you're just going to stand on the exit line, looking goofy, and then leave as I approach, then that's not funny and I'd rather you'd left.
Survivors who want to have actual fun, instead of BMing, at the gates need to be blatant about it and take the risk that they're up against a killer who doesn't have any craic.
Unfortunately, fun (and nice) players are few and far between on both sides.
Back to the original topic, taunting from the safety of the exit line isn't even a proper taunt. You're not showing how good a survivor you are - you're the little kid shouting abuse at another little kid with your 22-year old gym rat brother stood behind you. All you're doing is wasting my time. The good players, the ones who've 360d and flashlighted the killer all game, are the infuriating ones because they've taunted you all the way through the game.

@The_Crusader said:
I also often see hags who put down 5 traps around a hook and also facecamp.Yeah, that's another one I don't get.
I'm probably a better Hag player than I am a Piggy. The reason I don't play Hag much, is because it's a full-on experience - from the moment the game starts, everything is full throttle.
I don't trap hooks or gens, I trap all the places people are moving through... and survivors are constantly setting off my traps. It's exhausting. I don't always win, but my god can you panic survivors with Hag! Camping is a complete waste of her ability.
Edit: Will add, I ran Insidious during the Blight. Just because I wasn't focussed on "winning" and it meant I could give myself a break here and there. Set some cool traps, stand still within range, catch your breath, and wait (won't be long) for the booming to start.
-
I wonder how much of Piggy's reputation is explained by the behaviour of survivors. Like camping with any other killer, you're often rewarded for tunneling trapped players because they react poorly.
Getting rescued off the hook and immediately running towards the nearest jigsaw box, without even stopping to heal, is a gift for Pigs. I can slug you with one quick hit (and then get back to applying pressure on the others), which means someone has to come off gens and rescue you again. Or I can hook you again and possibly finish you off.
And trapped survivors often don't come off boxes when you approach, they give up. Again, you're offering yourself up and then blaming me for it because I was in the area and decided to check.
See how nice us Pigs are, we're even here on this forum telling you how to beat us! Give us hugs!
-
No need to make her white, just give her a big ol' red afro like Ronald McDonald.

@Peasant said:
You have Meg Thomas, you need to specify that we need a male red-haired survivor.May as well give the poor bastard a "Tunnel Me" t-shirt.
-
Probably the Macmillan Estate. Suits my playing style - mostly stealthy, but plenty of opportunity for exciting chases and vaulting.
Edit: Unless I'm Kate, in which case give me any map and I'm going to run around like loon, flicking that hair.

@Chi said:
Most people that play Pig, play her because they have a daily. They don't know how to use her power effectively, so they play like #########.True. Could say that about a lot of killers though - Docs on PS4 seems to be a good example. Spam shock therapy for the first 5mins to complete daily, then rush around in punishment mode and try and club people.

@The_Crusader said:
Crouching around a corner though lures in survivors closer than they would be with any other killer asife from Wraith so she has an advantage.In theory, yes. In practice, doesn't seem to matter at all - survivors are going to rush that hook regardless.
An Insidious Leatherface or Billy is a far more dangerous camper than a lil' piggy.As for the trap...well it's annoying. You're trying to get the trap off, the timer is ticking and she's lurking the boxes looking for the tunnel.
Exactly, it's annoying. But when you really sit and think, you're not worse off than you would have been against another killer. In fact, you're often better off than you would be against other killers. We have ways to be more irritating than other killers, but its superficial stuff really.
And don't panic if you get trapped and then unhooked, you have loads of time and do not need to be rushing to the nearest jigsaw boxes (which is what we're expecting you to do). We can't effectively patrol all the boxes and all the gens - either you're getting away, or your team is popping gens. Pig is not rewarded for focussing on one player, she's penalised for doing so.
But it's sometimes fun.

-
Ever tried aiming at something with 5fps.
It'd be a lot of work, in a lot of areas, to make hits accurate. -
Here's a tip for you: just because I'm being nice to that Feng, doesn't mean I'm going to be nice to you. Assume not until indications are otherwise.

Bear trap on head - GEDDITOFF! GEDDITOFF! GEDDITOFF! Come on this is the fourth box I've visited and I'm pretty sure she's somewhere behind me giggling her ass off.I do the opposite - I'll get on a gen with someone, and watch as they keep trying to tell me that my head is beeping.
With about a third of the timer left, I'll go for the boxes and see how my luck is.
Lots of Megs with no heads because of that. Seems to work better with Kate, for some reason.
-
@SoylentPixie said:
She'd probably just hang it from a tree and wait for a survivor to run into it face first :chuffed:Lol.
Or place them at waist height in bushes then watch as the Claudettes trap themselves.
Dwight would, of course, be that guy... who manages to end up with an RBT on his foot.
-
Hahahah.
Well... I'd like a chainsaw... but we don't always get what we want.
And, besides, how is a Hag going to perform a complicated operation like fixing on a reverse bear trap in 2 seconds with those freakishly long fingers? -
@The_Crusader said:
The Pig is the worst killer in the game by a mile due to how toxic she enables killer to be. Give me a 4 man squadette over her anyday.What can she do that's worse than any other killer? She can put a trap on your head before tunneling you... but if she does, then it's actually no worse than being tunneled by anyone else. She can guess you're going for a jigsaw box and patrol them... while the rest of your team does gens.
Piggy has a choice - when she wants to be super mean, she sacrifices her chances of winning the trial.
Camping... any killer can do that. And doing it crouched is no more effective than doing it standing up.
-

I'll stand crouched behind you and root for you if you're the last survivor trying to get your RBT off lol.I try to keep one RBT in reserve for just such an occasion. You know, sometimes I watch a survivor have so much fun getting the trap off, and it brings a tear to my eye when I know how happy they'll be to be slugged and given a second trap.
You are most welcome, Jake. Enjoy.

I try to chill......I really do.....but then something triggers me in the match....I go in expecting to crouch around with the survivors, have a little fun, do a little dancing, and make friends. But they run! They run, and they teabag, and they don't give me any love at all.
Love me or suffer the horrible consequences! Make your choice.

Didn't you get the memo, game is dead because of those 4 seconds. Killers are getting four kills every match and so survivors are leaving DbD.
Or... everything is cool and survivor mains will just moan about this until the next patch, when they'll find something else they don't like.

And, for the love of god, remove the hit box from hitting the Trapper at all. He knows how to walk through his own damn traps.But there's nothing funnier in this whole world than when a Trapper walks into his own trap!!! Can't remove this.

Hot fix?
My PS4 always gets 8001 errors after first installing an update. I just restart and everything is usually ok.

Because he's Mike f'n' Myers, he can give you an entire match's head start and still 2K.
That's why they've made 10 films about him. How many have they made about you?

No money to spend otherwise I would, but once I do have some money I'll definitely be buying some of the other stuff on the store. While that was a lot of playtime used to save up, in a sense it's my way of saying thanks to BHVR for the hard work they put in.Full respect to you for getting that many shards to spend in the first place.
BTW I hope my post didn't suggest that I think my time is more valuable than yours, or I'm some rich twat etc.
I was commenting on a purely personal basis that I can't justify the shard cost, but can justify auric cells. -
Piggy's and Wraith's are really disappointing. There are a few I haven't seen though, I guess they may be worse.
Going to say Myers is one of the best - there's something quite dramatic about it, and Rin's is also pretty awesome (f*cking love her shriek at the end).
-
sigh Such demeaning and immature behavior posting this.

I demand you take it down immediately.

I'm going to guess it's because we're stuck not being able to play (No, whinging survivors, not because of queues... because of boring ######### like work) and just want to jibber jabber on about DbD without having to actually think too hard.
So threads like this are perfect.

-
There is no survivor anymore.
Thank you. I spat out my granola reading this.
You've won the forum.
-
21.6k shards...
I just buy stuff like that. When I think of how much playtime that is, and add a value based on how precious and scarce my free time is, it's easier just to pay the money.
-
Well, Bill and Nea are like 70 or something. You can just tell.
-
Most: Billy, Hag, Myers
Least: Clown, Leatherface, NurseI find Freddy seems to come in waves - I'll have days where 80% of matches will be against him, and then not see the ######### again for two weeks.
PS4 btw.
-
I never even noticed that. Saw someone type something, but didn't know what they were on about. I'm going to take it as a sign that the devs are giving Amanda some attention.
Also, P3 L50 Piggy... love you!

Its a joke that the event lasts 2 weeks, but who am I to complain.Be fair, not all of us can play enough (even over a weekend) to collect 60 vials super quick.

IN the meantime I play other games and enjoy survivors crying on forum how hard it is to get killer vials

Hahaha.
