Nobody gave him any incentive to camp. He was doing that all by himself from the get-go with ruin and 5 gens still standing. Always a sure sign of a crap killer.
Our team played well. And in the end he came out with less points, and 45 minutes wasted for nothing. The delicious salty message he sent me after made me feel even better.
I didn't force any hatch stand off. He had 3k already under his belt. Nobody put a gun to his head and forced him to be such a try hard that he was willing to wait 45 minutes to try and get a 4k, any more than nobody forced him to camp on his first hook when 5 gens were still standing, as well as his ruin.
In the end it didn't even pay off for him. If anything he fed me with all the hook saves, pallet stuns, and gens I managed to get done, as well as that hatch escape in the end. Whereas he walks away look like an idiot who wasted three quarters of an hour on nothing, and didn't even have the blood points to console him for all that wasted time.
That's the real truth.
You are the definition of entitlement.
If that's true then I fit right in on this forum don't I.

The killer is the one who wasn't doing anything. Exactly. A crap player. You think this was sound gameplay strategy. I say saves because that's what it was. Saves. Just because he tunneled doesn't mean he caught them every time. Which he didn't. So we were not feeding him. Second, what broken mechanic was abused? And I did win. I escaped. I made more points than he did. And I made him waste 45 minutes with no pay off.
Chasing the weaker target is definitely a sound strategy. And if he really was camping 100% of the time as you claim, then you couldn't have saved anyone - he would've been right there and hit them again.
Conclusion: You are lying.I'm going to assume you are new to this game if you seriously thinking its impossible to save someone from a camping killer. Borrowed time ring any bells?
I'm lying? Ignorance thy name is Orion. What would I have to gain by lying about this? It will still be the truth whether you believe it or not.
So you fed him by giving him an incentive to camp. He knew you'd come for the rescue, so he stuck around, and you played exactly like he expected.
Your team played poorly and lost. That's the truth.
What you have to gain, among other things, is a justification for yourself to play in a way you yourself believe is scummy, namely by forcing the hatch standoff.

I had a 45 minute hatch stand off once. Ordinarily I wouldn't waste that much time and I would just let the killer kill me. But this killer camped and tunneled from the get-go when 5 gens were still standing as was ruin, so I wasn't letting him get a 4k.Sounds like the Killer played effectively by chasing the weaker links. It also sounds like your team was bad, if they lost to a Killer who did nothing for long periods of time. GJ punishing the Killer for your team being bad.
They didn't do nothing for long periods of time. 4 gens got done, several saves were made, ruin and devour hope got taken out, chases were done, and in the end the "effective killer" as you call him came out with less points than me even though he got 3 kills through camping and tunneling.
I bet he was just having so much fun standing there watching the hook for long periods of time, too. That just screams fun gameplay strategy.
The Killer is the one who wasn't doing anything. By the second hook, all generators should've been repaired.
You say "saves", I say "feeding". You say "tunneling", I say "chasing the weaker target".
Your team played poorly and decided to knowingly abuse a broken mechanic because you still felt entitled to winning. The killer is the one who wasn't doing anything. Exactly. A crap player. The Pig. I loathe the Pig. She seems to attract the worst campers and tunnelers, even when you have a trap on your head.Awww, did the mean lil' piggy not leave you alone so you could take the trap off in peace?
Just playing, mate.
Tunnelling and slugging, yes. Camping... I don't think Pigs camp any more than anyone else really. But they probably shouldn't be doing it at all.Pigs on PS4 do. They stand in their crouch mode by the hook, and just wait. If someone does manage to get you off the hook, they tunnel. Even if you have a trap on your head. I don't get why they put the trap on if they are just going to tunnel you anyway.
Its like if Trappers or Hags put a bunch of traps around the hook, and then just stand there and camp. What's the point of the traps if you're going to camp?
-
I just had two games in a row where the killer (Trapper and Wraith) rage quit as soon as we got the exit gates powered and took out their NOED. We didn't tbag at the exit gates, or taunt the killer in any way. Everyone played fair.
Killers can make themselves a joke without any help from survivors sometimes.
-
A little irony that this happened in Halloween month, too.
-

The atmosphere. Feels like a real horror game.
Getting to face some iconic horror movie killers like Michael Myers and Leatherface.
The team work as survivor (when you get a good team). -

I play on PS4.

Maybe its time to look another game.I wish everyone who complains about SWF would do that. Because its never going to be removed from the game. So why they stay and endure something they think ruins the game is beyond me. Its like they're gluttons for punishment.

You are doing nothing wrong. The deliverance perk is broken. It often does not work for many players. Not just on Xbox. PC and PS4 as well.
Hopefully they fix it soon as it has been broken since they released it. -
Please do not add dancing or tough emotes or anything goofy like that. One of the things I love about Dbd is it feels like a horror game. Part of the reason is it doesn't have goofy comical crap like that.
One of the reasons the F13 game is so inferior in my view is you see survivors running around dancing and blowing kisses and other stupid stuff like that at Jason. It makes the game feel comical. And Jason a joke. Why are those emotes even in the game? The survivors are being hunted by a killer. They know they are, too. They are not oblivious to it. Dancing or any kind of comical emotes has no place in that sort of situation. Ditto in Dbd.
Seriously the teabagging in Dbd is hated enough by killers without adding stuff like that for toxic players to abuse. -
Its a very situational perk. Most good survivors cleanse all totems thereby rendering it useless before it even has a chance to activate. If not for the points then to eliminate the possibility of NOED.
As survivor its a wonderful feeling to survive a game when you and your team took out all the totems, you took a hit after the exit gates powered up but still escaped, and get to that end game menu and see the killer had been using NOED. -
My never changing Dwight build is Bond, Leadership, Self Care and Urban Evasion.
When I do play killer I tend to use Sloppy Butcher, Bloodhound, Hex Ruin and BBQ and Chili. -
Wraith above Myers and Huntress? Doctor at the top? Huntress at the bottom?
Bogus list. -
What a hilariously ignorant thread.
-
Congrats.
-
Would really suck if it kept giving you the Game.
-
I love Freddys that run overcharge.
-
Oh yay. Can't go a couple of weeks without this happening.
-
Original, Halloween, and Christmas theme.
The Spirit one is decent. I didn't care for the Clown one.

Wait people should be banned for giving a fellow survivor a sporting chance to survive? I'm assuming you mean dying on the hook. The poor killer has to settle for a 3k?What a cruel world we live in.
I'm sure it doesn't matter. Why can't i have my victory if i downed all of you?
Because downing everyone doesn't guarantee you a 4k. Its like a survivor asking why can't they all escape just because all the gens got repaired.
-
I have noticed longer waiting times the past couple of days. And that was playing by myself, too.
-

As a survivor, any time I survive is a win.
-
Was this person playing from the Moon?
-
This forum would be a ghost town without complaining and insults.
-
Most Wraiths are born campers. Like Pigs they'll go stealthy near the hook and camp.
-
He is balanced. He can scare the hell out of you. He has the awesome Halloween chase music.
-
I watched your video, and honestly as a survivor main let me say I do understand the frustration of having the last three gens so close together, and it being nearly impossible to get one done with the killer patrolling them. I've been there, done that. Yes, it's annoying. But at the end of the day that was your own mistake. The killer didn't force you guys to select the gens you did to repair. You guys should have spaced out the gens you repaired more evenly so you wouldn't be backed into a corner like that when it came to the last one.
Second, you cannot fault the killer for protecting the gens and chasing you guys off them. He wasn't holding the game hostage either. He hooked several of you. He was no fool. He wasn't falling for your obvious attempts to bait him to chase one of you away from the gens for a prolonged time so he'd leave the gens free for two or three of you to hop on and gen rush.
He kept his dignity right to the end when he didn't respond to the vitriol that was thrown at him in the after game chat. Most of you guys got out. And a couple of you even made more blood points than him. You should just take that victory, and the harsh lesson you hopefully all learned about what gens you repair on a map, and move on.
-
This has been one of the most entertaining threads to read.
-
I just had a hatch stand off that lasted 45 minutes. Ordinarily I wouldn't even entertain the idea of wasting that much time. But this killer camped and tunneled the entire game, and I refused to let this douche have a 4k.
The beautiful part is not only did I win the hatch stand off, I also came out with more points than the killer.
-
Jump scares usually make me laugh after the initial fright has worn off. Michael Myers is great for that. Or when I'm playing with friends and they get jump scared. One of my female friends nearly always screams when we get a Michael match lol.
-
There is only one reason most of them do it; they're douchebags. Simple as that.
A good killer goes off and finds pallets to break or gens to kick. Some will just go off and have a bit of fun e.g. Hillbillys chainsaw around the map, Hags and Trappers go and set traps for points, Nurses go blinking around the map etc.
I'll tell what is funny. Freddys trying to hit you when you're on the hook. -
I never dc. Even if I get the Doctor on the Game!!!
-
I see her daily on PS4.
-
There is some serious sound issues going on with Pale Rose. I had one today where it sounded like I was beside the ocean with crashing waves.
-
The best way to punish face campers is to get gens done.
-
Bond
Leadership
Urban Evasion
Self Care -
Definitely the Pig. Most Pig players camp and tunnel, even when you have a trap on your head. They'll sit in their crouch mode near the hook just waiting. And if someone does manage to get you off the hook, they'll be straight after you.
I also find the traps themselves annoying as hell. Especially when the timer is on. I think the Pig is the worst DLC to come to the game, as the awful Meat Plant map came with her.
-
Hags and Trappers seem to love this map. Several times I've been in lobbies where they burned offerings for it. It does hide their traps well.
-
Haddonfield for sure. Love that map.
Also really like Springwood and Family Residence.
-
Hex ruin is almost pointless now. Most high rank survivors can work through it regardless.
-
Best: Spirit, Hag, Leatherface, Myers, Nurse
Worst: Pig, Wraith, Trapper

When I camp survivors, it's because they deserved it. EX: Body blocking other survivors from windows/pallets, ratting out other survivors, farming survivors before I have the chance to leave the hook, watching survivors die on hook, etc.Basically if you're in a match with me and you're being a douche to the other survivors, you're getting camped. If you're going to ruin the game for others, you don't deserve a chance to do anything but die on the hook.
Now that kind of camping I give thumps up to.

As a survivor main, initially I found her creepy. But after facing her few times, not so much. Those sounds she makes, honestly she sounds like a dolphin.
