I don't think so.What do you think about Ruin?
Very interesting build, never thought of caulrophobia on hag.
Now that I am lower rank again, I will give it a try
Btw, I believe that against a competent SWF you automatically lose if you dont have ruin up. The gamble that they dont find your totem isntantly is the only thing that can give you a chance (talking about the optimal SWF here, not the yolo hook rushers)
-
Please make it such that killers dont use addons/offerings when survivors DC either, thanks

I always say people should play as they want to play so I agree with this. There is no rule saying killers can't camp. The devs even explicity explained that killers are allowed to camp, survivors just dont wanna believe the truth

Only as survivor, the game is easy enough that Iisten to music

I mostly play with randoms and I'm tired of facing the spirit. I got nothing against the killer but she's way to good for the little bit of required skill to use her. Its impossible to do gens or unhook other survivors without her immediately downing the survivor again. And nearly every game she's the killer! She literally takes the game hostage it's so irritating. Looping against her is useless since she keeps teleporting and since I am a purple rank the killer usually knows how to counter jukes and 360s. So if she keeps teleporting from the gens to the hook and tunnelling survivors there's not a lot u can do to beat her. She's like an easy to use nurse but not that good. It's just easy for anyone to use her and win. She needs some kind of nerf in my opinion. She's the only low skill required killer that gives me a hard time beating her. If you don't want to nerf her maybe bring old pallets back to the game??Spirit is one of the hardest killer, in my opinion even harder than nurse.
And she is terrible against a competent SWF, she stands no chance against that. Survivors always claim that its the opposite but when I request spirit gameplay vs competent SWF, I never get an answer

I recommend playing her yourself to understand her weakness and then you can use those to play against her

Rank manipulation is a very common thing in this game. BHVR even featured streamers as fog travelers who openly depip to avoid playing at rank 1 in favor of easier games. One thing that enables this is the estimated 40% DC rate allowed before you are punished. You can depip to rank 15 and rank up to any given rank and then repeat the process as long as you don't constantly two pip.
Obviously a single depip on DC makes the process of deranking take twice as long.
Just a thought on how to curb one of the games cheesier practices.
By doing that, you will just increase the DC rate and dont fix the actual problem.
DCing needs to be punished at its core, for example by a increasing queue time penalty, the more you DC -
Must have been low rank.
I am a killer main and I am not even affected by lullaby with 5 tokens anymore.... skillchecks are not hard to hit once you had a bit practice.
-
Rank 8 is when the survivors slowly start using their brain and killer becomes a lil bit harder

Can we not break immersion please. This game definitely won't be scary anymore if everyone is running around in swimsuits. It works with F13, but not DBD.The game stopped being scary once the survivors discovered looping

Sounds like you didnt lobby dodge that SWF and that you play solo-survivor.
camping works really well against many SWF because they are over altruistic, but ofc you can lobby dodge them too if you want

ive been experimenting with this . it seem the way it works is the person who made the initial group is what it goes by that is why you see 2's in a level 18 match up and 18's in a level 2 match . there is a range of what the matchup looks for so say a 18 might get a rang of 16-20 depending on available players , so if they make the group with friends in the 10-2 range those players will be playing a killer in the 16-20 range .this is just another thing that is broken about the swf grouping , the developers know about it and we haven't head anything at all , they pretend they don't know at least as far as the information they give out is concerned . the only info ive heard was them supporting swf months ago when they implemented it and talked about how big of a success it was with 70% of all games played being some form of swf .
Since then I haven't heard anything from the developers about it , but the community has voiced up pro and con about it on a daily thread and usualy multiples . ive heard a lot of killers wanting opt outs , survivors complaining how swf only work together and if they are the odd man they are left to die because the 3 man can win just as easy without them . people complaining about the rank imbalance in matchs because of it , the list goes on .
That is not only months away, this was a year ago (maybe even more now), apprently the devs dont give a damn about the situation, so yuo have to use the tools vailable to you (derank or lobbydodge)
-
Ok I like this idea.
Each survivor can bann one killer and the killer can bann 4 survivors. Lets implement this into the game, cant wait to bann all those claudettes and I will be glad to play a different killer than pig if you dislike her so much

One issue with accepting comm and balancing the game around it is that many players will still not use it, which would leave them in a disadvantage. Take Left 4 Dead for example: very much based on teamwork, yet less than half of the players use voice chat, despite the function is ingame and simple.
I still think accepting comm is the better way, just voicing my concerns here.If you want to play casually thats up to you. There are tons of overwatch players that never touched the talk button for example.
However, when you climb into higher ranks, people will being to start using voice comms.
If you dont balance the game around voice comms, then what is the killer supposed to do? Just DC?

So, I just had a match where I couldn't pull a pallet because a Nea was in it and it kept prompting me to heal her as opposed to pulling the pallet which I was then instant downed by a Leatherface chainsaw - this wouldn't be an issue if vacuum pallets were removed... which brings me to the actual topic of this discussion, why are vacuum hooks still in the game? How is it fair that you remove vacuum pallets and yet killers STILL have vacuum hooks. A wiggle bar can look full, but because of a vacuum animation for hooks, it doesn't matter. You're still put on the hook. Seriously, dbd devs, you need to fix this. It's absolutely ridiculous. You "fix" things that don't need to be fixed but then create more bugs and issues for others.I agree, just like survivors can unhook from all sides, killers should be able to hook from all sides so that we get rid of this stupid hook gliding and the collision problems
-
Yes extra BP would be a fair compensation until devs balance SWF

what happened to rank 1 survivors? everyone there is so boosted when i am playing survivor. just finished my 5th game in a row of all of the survivors getting destroyed because no one wants to do a generator. please survivors if you are seeing this. do gens im so tired of dying and everyone just crouching and doing nothing.ps: when im playing killer survivors always gen rush and pallet loop perfectly but when im playing survivor everyone is ######### and cant do anything for themselves
Make piping easy AF and every boosted meghead can reach rank1

Both sides pip too easy btw, but thats only my opinion. When you play killer, you most likely verse SWF thats what seems so weird when you compare it with your solo survivor experience -

Seriously, can we get some kind of mechanic where if you go up against a full SWF group you don't have to queue with them for another few matches? I get that people wanna play together and will be on voice, but thats 3 matches in a row now trying to complete my killer daily quests that have been against coordinated SWF groups who don't let you pick anyone up without a DS or a flashlight to the face, who then love to tell me I'm camping, when I try to kill the other 3 of them who are charging the hook when I finally get one on it.NEWS FLASH:
If you're hanging around the hook when someone gets hooked, its not F---ing camping if the killer sees you there and downs you.
Stop trying to make the game not fun for killers, or its going to have a negative impact on the game later on. This goes from a player POV and a Dev POV.
Either lobby dodge them or derank to ranks where you can deal with SWF, thats my advice

So im just gonna be direkt here: its BS.and no, im not trying to defend DS by any means, i totally agree that it should get nerfed and that the perk itself is huge BS too, but you are putting waay too much effort into it, its almost absurd.
in my opinion, you dont need any ogf this "can be activated with e and will put the broken status effect on you" or the newer "can be activated with e and will only stun the killer in place". that way, in my opinion, you just have a ton of unnecessary programming to do, which will end in us waiting forever for the much needed nerfs.
heres my, much simpler solution:
DS will still free you from the killers grasp. this works ONLY when you hit a tremendously hard skillcheck, once per match and for the obsession.
that way, we will only have 1 DS per game, the killer knows who has it and is able to play around this person.
in my eyes, the main problem with DS atm is, that you never know who has it, so you cant plan around it and it can easily screw you completely over, especially if there is 2 or more. also, its really unfair, when more than one person can get off your shoulders for free.what are your thoughts on this?
do you like DS the way it is now?
do you like my idea?
do you like the devs idea?
or do you have your own idea?
please tell me in the comments below!
have a wonderful day!We already have activatable perks in the game, the programming they have to do is laughable tbh.
There are two problems with your idea:
1. Skillchecks are hit on high ranks and this is where DS is the real problem
2. What happens with non-obsession DS? Are they just running a dead perk? But I agree too, the DS nerf is going into the compeltely wrong direction because it needs SWF coordination to make it use and then it is similar to the old DS.
I prefered their first idea to apply the no-mither effect afetr you used DS (but make him only be able to use DS if he hasnt been hooked yet)again: i dont have a problem with one person using his DS. since you as killer can clearly see the obsession symbol, you can play around that guy. therefore, the others would 100% be safe non strikers.
and yes, if there is 2 Dstrikes in the game, only the obsession will have it. the other one will have to play with 3 perks. That way, its actually a high risk - high reward perk, just like NOED. a lot of killers play the game with only 3 perks, and the 4th doesnt even activate in the end game, so why not for survivors too? the perk is powerful enough to be worth this risk. That would just make SWF even stronger, bad design if you ask me
how would that make SWF stronger? because only one of them can use DS now? sry, but i dont get your point there...
Because they can coordinate who takes DS and can avoid picking multiple ones, runing aroudn with dead perks

Usually its camping when you kill at least one survivors.
Just ignore them after game chat, even if you stand 1 cm away from their face on the hook, its still a legit way to play, the devs confirmed that

I am pretty sure you would ######### yourself if you versed some of that killers IRL, so diapers only make sense

But that would be a straight buff for pig, ofc that would be unfair for survivors since pig already is op

Its called SWF, high ranks team up with lower ranks in order to be able to bully low rank killers like you.
You can avoid this by lobby dodging SWF (Survive with friends). If multiple survivors join into your lobby at the same time, chances are high that they play together and you can consider opening a new lobby to play a normal game.
-
Option 2 definitely if I had to pick one
Also another option I consider really interesting is that within a SWF, all perks are unique, i.e. all SWF members can only use each perk once in their loadout such that 3x DS and that stuff acnt happen. Would force them to use other perks beside the meta ones and would act as balancing too

No, it’s the equivalent of holding W and violently shaking your mouse from left to right. It almost completely eliminates the effects of struggling.
I mean if you run forward and violently smash your mouse around, isnt that the same as the wiggling effect?^^

It can take 5mins just to get into a Trial & then Killers quit half way through.
Yes there should be harsh penalties for DCing, but ofc they would apply to both, killers and survivors

I find her interesting and I wish she was more challenging to play against.
Low framerate and controller aim kill nurse.
I actually mained Nurse for some time and she is well playable with a controller. It takes practise but the FPS and lagspikes after blinking is a way bigger issue.
I know its possible, but even on PC its already hard to get used to nurse and master her. I dont even wanna imagine how this is on console, but I can understand that our fellow console killers dont wanna go through this trouble

Why does that happen? Am i too good or these ppl just got carried all the way here? I feel very offended when i face this kind of survivors, they dont belong to Rank 1, go back to Rank 20 NOOBS!
Rank 1 is a joke to reach, thats the problem.
Dont worry, give it a few days and you will face that depip squad that makes you cry^^Games can be like day and night, one game you get genrushed with 2 hooks in the whole game, the next game you 4k with no gen done.
DBD simply has no proper matchmakign and the rank system is a joke. also SWF can boost each others rank very easily, hell you can even reach rank 1 by versing rank 10ish killers only
