  • Yes, reduce her base cooldown to 10 seconds and activation time to 1 or 1.2 seconds, also bring back the window mind game animation (fake vault) and for god sake, fix the sounds to not allow survivors to distinguish when you are phasing or not (if a survivor keeps running in front of you they will hear the chase music, which will stop when u start phasing)

  • Refer to this post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248602/gen-regression-rework

Leave a vote and comment if you like it, maybe devs have a look if it gets well spread up.

    1. I get called a Tunneler and Camper 90% of my matches.
    2. People tell me to kill myself on a daily basis.
    3. I constantly get reported for no legit reasons.
    4. At least 1 new profile comment per day.
    5. There is no limit for the amount of SALT a survivor can drop for me, and thats what i enjoy the most, which is the best part of this game 😄
  • My build for him: Corrupt, Play with your food, Save best for last, NOED.

This build covers every part of a match, the beginning, the mid and endgame. You can save stacks from PWF by picking survivors that are trapped, u can also get free stacks for it just by looking the obsession, so u can end chases faster.

I hope devs remove bloodlust from the game and transform it to a perk

I hope devs remove pallets from the game and transform it to a perk that spawns 1/2/3 of them randomly around the map.

Solo survivor is the weakest group of players right now (killers and obviously SWF are stronger). Why are they gatekeeping knowledge that SWF get for free, as this results in multiple survivors getting off gens, which is fantastic for the killer. It would make playing solo survivor way less clunky, and wouldn’t be too impactful to killers. Imo, this basic knowledge shouldn’t be locked behind a perk, and it’s honestly baffling that this is still an issue 5 years after launch.

Obviously, I don’t think the seeing the killer part of Kindred should be base kit.

Same reason why BBQ and Whispers are not base kit either.

Yes, this is a DBD question, as I only want one to play DBD.

My PS4 stopped working today, and it's not able to be fixed. Which sucks, obviously.

Anyways, I can't stop playing this game, and that means I have two options:

    1.) Get a PC

    2.) Get another PlayStation.

I'd rather not get a PC, as I don't remember my Steam info, and I don't want to start over.

So my only option is to get a PlayStation.

Since I'm going to be getting a PlayStation, I might as well get an upgrade.

But I can't find one ANYWHERE.

So, do you guys know any sites that aren't sold out?

I've found one on Amazon, but its not cheap tho...

I have 1100 hours into DBD. Ive been playing since the beta, while taking many breaks when the game was unplayeable in the last years.

Currently, Ive had little incentive to play the game, and like many I'm very sad that they still did not account rank rewards or anything with the 5 year anniversary stream to actually give more reasons to play the game, but whatever, we're talking about DBD devs after all.

I'm not here to just sh*t on the game. It has good points but so many terrible counterparts.

Through pain, blood and tears, after leaving the game for several months a couple weeks ago, I went back from rank 17 to rank 4. Solo. It was HELL. Took me like two weeks of playing quite a lot, y'all know how solo surv is terrible, won't elaborate on this, thats why pretty much everyone plays SWF now(another big issue)

Recently I was hyped for the RE DLC, bought RE2 and did it last week, very good game which hyped me even more for the DLC(never played a RE before). Now today I boot the game, figured I could at least get back to rank 4 before rank reset so I don't bounce to like 10 or something.

Game 1 : 10 min queue. Killer ends up hardcore camping and tunneling any survivor he can. I realize team mates are not very good and still do 3 safe saves while they don't do much and try to pip. No pip. End game board : 10+ rank disparity, you wait 10 min and get hideous matchmaking. I'm rank 6, the other survivors were 12, 14 and 17 and the killer was 15.

Game 2 : Long queue again, one team mates DCs 30 seconds into a match because it's a blight. Terrible from this survivor but I can understand the feel when you wait 10 min to get billies, blights or nurses. I played like I was playing for 1Million USD, depip.

Game 3 : Cheating billy, Ive been seeing quite a few of these guys recently. With 1K hour you can easily tell when someone is cheating especially when they find you out of nowhere 3+ times per game, and runs exactly to you, every single time, even when he has zero clue helping him.

Stuff like this has been going on for very long. The only thing the player can do is turn on cross play, which makes the game even more unplayeable, I'm sorry but the skillgap between console and PC players is immense. I would probably not be much better with a controller but if you're trying to rank up, just don't turn it on.

Also I mostly talked about survivor(solo) stuff here, game is a hundred time easier as killer, hence why I don't play killer too much because you can double pip every game from low ranks to like 7-8 and it's just easy to reach red ranks on killer, the amount of points you get is so high it's almost impossible to depip or not pip before red ranks, and I'm a pretty good killer but nothing crazy.

They really need to adress all this stuff and make solo surviror more enjoyeable and playeable. Stuff like this is why people go SWF+coms on discord, and killers get mad and feel entitled to camp and tunnel. There are a lot of wrong things coming from both sides but the devs are not helping at all.

What do you guys think? How do you still enjoy the game?

I've played over 3000 hours of Killer ONLY. Profile comments and SALT on the end game chat is what keeps me playing this game, they are so satisfying!

People gonna say : but spirit was nerf at the 3.4.2 update so what's the problem ?

We have many problem with this killer, like :

    • stridor is too strong
    • low addons rarity but really effective ( speed / duration )
    • too low cooldown ( 10 secs )
    • no signal when she activate his power

    That's all for me btw

Really, do one of these changes please

    • Stridor is a meme, i've already used it many times, and for the most part it only makes me think that a survivor is close to me when it is actually 10 meters away...
    • I don't use addons, they are consumables and i dont like to waste them.
    • She has 15 seconds cooldown and 5 seconds of power usage. (Cooldown should be lowered to 10 secs, if you miss a survivor with 15 sec CD you are #########, plain and simple)
    • Survivors can keep running in front of her, if the chase music stops it means she is phasing, thats really stupid and should be fixed because it can and IS constantly abused by those who know about it. (Spine Chill also exists, devs should rework this perk because its utterly BROKEN against several killers, including Spirit)
  • @DeftDaemon said:

Since you can't see survivors while phasing, what if this included passive phasing. Also add-ons that increase passive phasing frequency and duration now decrease it.

If you werent able to see survivors while passive phasing, I asure you that it would be a game breaking buff because u would easily be able to take true advantage of the passive phasing on loops and chases.

  • Idk why Insidious is o this list, its a very useful perk...

  • @Kate_Main_01 said:

When you play Killer who do you get the most wins with and why? Certain playstyles lend themselves to certain Killers so I'm curious to know which ones you all find most intuitive!

I have the most fun with Legion but am the worst Killer in existence. I'm so bad at it! That said I have to go out of my way to not get a 4k with perkless level 1 Doctor. I don't have any Killers to rank 40 and any BP I get with Killers go to my Survivors. (The only exception is Legion who I've taken to 15) So I think that makes Doctor mine.

    Leatherface = Pay to Win.

    Enough said.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

Yeah I think Hag. With Spirit at the end of the day it comes done to how well you can hear. Hag you gotta keep you area intact. Recognize wether the survivor is in your lunge range. And learn area movements since you can't just trap loops then survivors will just go around since she is too slow to catch-up. And as well mindgame if to tp or not if the phantasm is still up. And how to corral them to your traps. And good reactions since just spamming a button will backfire. And how to deal with flashlights and SWFs. But what do you think?

Hag is more about map knowledge, Spirit relies more on predictions and mind games for the most part, she is way harder to master than insta teleporting from 40m away and getting free hits all around the map.

  • @fogdonkey said:

I think only 4 man SWFs should be allowed to play survivors. Solo survivor mode should be removed from the game.

    What do you think?

This would also solve the issues with SWFs being stronger than soloQ.

I've already seen better baits around here... Good old times.

  • I had it on the moment i read this post. I mean, they wont remove the SWF option and won't ban for using comms, so they should at least give the killers equal advantages such as aura reading, extra perk slots, permanent bloodlust levels to reduce the chases and so on...

  • @Demogorgeouse said:

Its not fair at all. If were gonna allow this in the game then why not make survivors move 2.0 ms and make then one hit by default. Its not fair because they can tell their teammates to bodyblock. Not to mention that its basically a free wallhack and i basically have to hide from them amd sneak if i wanna catch survivors. Also not to mention 1/2 of maps are survivor sided.

I agree, but devs cant do much about third party communication, however i think the killers facing a SWFs should have some equal advantage, such as being able to constantly see every survivor's aura that is on a SWF on the match.

I was currently in one of my worst played games against a Pyramid Head and im still kinda new. I was runnung forward quite a few times while looking behind me and sometimes ran right out into him because I thought he was behind me. I worked on gens though and did 2 on my own. At the end it was me and a girl who had hatch key and knew hatch location. I was second hooked already and in the barbed wire stuff so I didnt run away so I could die and the other girl could use hatch.

At the end of the game, the killer said theyre reporting me, and I thought it was because I died so my teammate could escape but they said the reason was because I ran toward them which was more in the first half of the game when I was looking behind me with my camera as I ran. He said I did it 3 times and, I did but not purposely. I was looking behind and around me.

Again i'm still new and it was my first time playing a different survivor than I usually play and his perks are more difficult to understand so I was scrambled the whole time. I have never been reported in any game that I know of, so im nervous now? I didnt think I could be reported for messing up looking a certain direction and happening to cross paths with the killer. I dont think im the worst at the game but im not the best. Ive owned the game for 4 years but this month is the first time I ever played it, ive had a lot of games to catch up on.

Stressed and want advice is all thanks.

Ingame reports are meaningless, specially false reports (no legit reason for a report).

Look for their stream, if they are on i open it to see if they are on a CWF.

    • If its a CWF i leave the stream open to get information i shouldnt have access to (just as they are doing by using voice chat)
    • If its not a CWF i pause the stream and play normally, once the match is over i go watch the replay.
    • If the stream is off i check if there are more than 1 console on the lobby, if there are 2 or more consoles, i just dodge it, as usual.

For the amount of grind there is in this game, we really aren't given much for finally achieving things. (For example) Like ok nice, I have killed 1000 survivors in my total time of playing this game , but I get nothing. Why are we not rewarded with a cool cosmetic that is exclusive to players who have played this game for an extended amount of time? There is no fancy cosmetic you get for doing something significant, and there is no reward for doing anything in this game.

I want cosmetics that I can show off to other people that shows my level of superiority. I want a baby dweet to look at me and think "Wow, this person is be a god must have no life!" or "Holy hell this killer must be good and means business" JUST by taking a look at my character.

The cosmetics we have now are pretty good, but you wanna know why I don't care for them? Because some are pretty pricey honestly, but mainly because anyone can get them.

Any person who plays this game and wants cosmetics can just go ahead and buy them. But that isn't very rewarding, it doesn't let you know who has put in the hours to "git gud", it just shows you who likes the game enough to spend extra money on it.

What if when you get 10 flashlight saves you get a new skin for flashlights that you can toggle on and off? What if you could get a cool skin that shows you love using medkits? Just little things like that including full on cosmetics for your characters would go a long way and make it feel more like everyone is grinding towards something.

Everyone with 1000's of hours on this game only have their playtime to show as their sort of glory I guess. We should at the least be rewarded with exclusive cosmetics that can be grinded for at any time. That would make people feel more inclined to play the game more as well.

You get achievements, shards to use on skins and even Legacy skins if u are old enough.

If thats not enough for now, i suggest you to enable comments on your profile and take each and every single one of them as Badges of Honor.

Anyways, it would be cool if there was more rewards, but while we dont get that, getting new comments are pretty fun.

  • @Arila said:

I've noticed this for some time now -- only just had the chance again to see that it's still a thing.

A survivor could be standing DIRECTLY on hatch, SPAMMING to enter, but the killer can just walk up to it and close it anyway. It's absolutely ridiculous. Whomever gets there first and interacts with the hatch first should get out/close it.

If a survivor finds the hatch first the killer cant even grab the survivor anymore, how about that "priority"???

  • @wxnickxw said:

Pretty strait forwards number one choice. Killer mains only please there's a survivor one too

To everyone voting for "Keys", if a survivor "escapes" via the hatch, it actually dies, so u dont have to feel bad when they use keys, you won, plain and simple.

And if they tell you they are alive, they lost anyways, because if it was not for their keys, they would have been sacrificed anyways.

  • When you think about RE, the first thing in your mind is Nemesis, if the killer is not Nemesis, devs are either out of their minds or they couldnt have the license for him...

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It's an achievement that relies on your opponents being either careless or inexperienced. It's the same reason achievements like Quick Draw and Rescue Mission are so brutal.

I got it by facing several matches against TOXIC Full CWFs on Rank 1 bodyblocking the hook in order to prevent me from killing a single one of them, i highly doubt they were "inexperienced".

  • Very questionable tier list, Blight is BY FAR the hardest killer to play and to master, Spirit is not that easy at all and NONE of those "Very Hard" ones are actually hard to play, Trickster and Huntress are also not that easy, duuude is this a bait or what? If its a bait then u got me hard!

  • @wxnickxw said:

I'm not sure if you're trolling, or you just don't play low-mid rank survivor. And it's generally not me being face-camped.

It's almost always ghostfaces. I'm not sure what it is about ghostfaces who never use their power, bloodlust for a down, and then just turn the game into misery.

Dude if its a facecamp it can be EASILY countered by BT, DS and gen rush, a Facecamping killer cant even see their surroundings and wont stop facecamping unless someone tries to unhook.

  • @imperialgoblin said:

I'm more of a killer player, though I enjoyed dipping into survivor to chill with friends often. But most of my friends have as of recent lost interest in DBD, so with the new tome I've been forced to solo queue to do challenges and, good lord, it's been by far the least fun I've ever had playing this game.

Face-camping NOED Freddies and Ghostfaces every other match. Claudettes hiding in the corner self-caring for 90 seconds. Sometimes I think Kindred is more of a hindrance than a help because with low-mid rank teammates it means they all freeze up and crouch-walk into the corners of the map while you sit on a hook. People hiding in lockers the whole match, and then just camping the hatch waiting for you to die on your first hook. The most infuriating DBD game I've ever had, where I lost two teammates early, did 3.5 gens by myself and looped the killer in between while the other teammate crouch-walked and hid, only to get NOED'd just as I opened the exit gate and killed while the other teammate waltzed out. And because every other game I wind up getting chased and downed first and die soon after because everyone is self-caring or locker-hiding or crouch-walking around corners while I hit stage 2, I'll never rank past these kinds of players. I'm far from the best survivor player out there, but yeesh.

I don't know how anyone does it. I've finished the survivor half of the new tome's challenges and I don't know if I'll ever queue survivor again. Jeepers creepers.

From my experience, Face camping is extremely, and i mean EXTREMELY rare to see nowdays, you must have done some REALLY nasty stuff for a killer to face camp you dude...

  • Yeah, i really liked the machine gun build, please bring it back devs!

I think it'd be fine if they just upped the base regression rate (maybe the same speed as ruin) but reduced ruins speed so that ruin isn't any different to how it was before.

The idea to make it take a couple seconds for regression to be stopped seems fine though, although it applying to ruin as well is unnecessary power creep for an already strong perk so I don't think it should apply to ruin.

I think thats a valid option too, but if regression became same as Ruin, the perk should be buffed to regress even faster OR not being a Hex anymore.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

Most people have played with and against a swf. Playing with your friends or undeniably fun, but going against a swf is mostly painful for killers. But, I still believe that swf doesn't need a nerf, or a change. Hear me out.

Most people that come into the game want to be introduced to the mechanics of the game by other people. A popular way to learn is to play in a swf, a different one is to watch a ton of youtube videos and streams. But generally, most people agree that playing in a swf with people that know what they are doing can improve both your experience with the game and help flatten the learning curve of this game (I hope i said that right, basically I mean make it easier for newer people to learn this came)

Also, there is this unbelievable fact that people like to play with their friends the same videogame, I know, pretty weird. I don't deny that it's painful for the killer, but completely removing swf or punish swf for playing together in some way, isn't really the way to make it fair for the killer to play against a swf. The killer WILL be in a disadvantage, and if the swf is coordinated then the killer WILL have a bad time, that's why most people flat out refuse to play with swfs if they recognize one, and that's why I personally don't support the idea of showing if a group is a swf at the start of the match, but I do support giving the killer extra bloodpoints and inform them in the endgame screen that they played vs a swf.

According to the data that were last released by bhvr, swfs are pretty rare, so that shows that they don't really break the system, even if they break the games unwritten rules, specifically that the survivors shouldn't have a way to communicate. So even tho I believe that swfs are breaking the immersion of the game, they still are pretty rare to take immediate action. Now, I must admit, that there is a chance for the data to be too old, and that the amount of swfs existing to have raised dramatically, I won't deny that. That's why I'm talking for the data that we have now, and I'll admit that I'm wrong it I'm presented with new data in the future.

So what do you guys believe? Should bhvr keep swfs as they are? Should they delet em? Let me know below

SWF is NOT a problem, the problem resides within CWF (Cheat With Friends), if survivors were not using Discord or other forms of BS in order to get information they shouldnt have access to, game would be balanced!

  • She is extremely frustrating to play and learn nowdays, i'd reccomend to play any other killer with similar strength such as Spirit, Hag and Leatherface and leave her for last.

  • @Power_Guy said:

It takes Killer's 2 seconds to kick a generator & start it regressing.

It takes Survivors 1 frame of animation, which can be done mid-chase, to stop the regression. That's 1/60th of a second (since the game runs at 60 frames per second).

Look at that discrepancy; 2 Seconds for the Killer to regress. 1/60th of a second for Survivors to STOP the regression. 120 frames to regress, 1 frame to stop regression.

A Killer kicking a generator takes 120 times more time than a Survivor needs to stop it.

This is pure BS. The Killer is SUPPOSED to be the power role. But while they pound on a gen, a Survivor gets to give it a friendly wink while sprinting by to undo his work.

In a game where the Killer has very limited time to do ANYTHING.

Survivors should not be able to stop regressing gens in a chase.

Make it so the Survivor has to work on a gen for 1 second, then an easy skillcheck pops up (unless the Killer superseded it with something like Overcharge):

If the skillcheck is hit, the generator stops regressing & resumes progressing while a Survivor works on it, like normal.

If the skillcheck is failed, it will be 3 seconds before it will pop up again.

(Again; if Overcharge was used, the FIRST skillcheck will be Overcharge's, if failed, the next Skillcheck will be easy. If Overcharge is succeeded, then it counts as the 1 anti-regression skillcheck)

While the skillcheck is not passed, but the gen is being worked on, regression & progression are both paused. Regression will resume if the Survivor(s) leave the gen before succeeding at the anti-regression skillcheck.

If the devs actually care one whit about game balance, gen tapping will be fixed.

    Refer to this post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248602/gen-regression-rework

Vote and comment to help the devs see it.

  • Nah, The Hag is fine.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

killers take 3 seconds to kick a generator which barely does damage and gives a painfully slow regression progress

Survivors can tap a generator for 1/60th of a second to immediately halt that painfully slow regression.

It seems kind of unfair and rather survivor sided that a survivor can just tap a generator (even in mid-chase) to immediately halt regression with almost no risk behind it. While the killer kicking a generator provides high risk and little to no reward.

If survivors couldn't gen tap anymore then killers would be able to pressure gens better without needing gen regression perks

    Nice TL; DR 😆

  • @Seraphor said:

While they're both great ideas, I think both of them together would be too much, and in fact may hinder the killer a little.

If they go with the instant 5% regression, then the killer could actually benefit from a survivor tapping the gen right after, and make it an instant 10%, but would still allow survivors the option of a quick tap for things like when going for a hook rescue by a gen, or when the killer has actually left but you don't want to continue working that gen just yet.

On the other hand, if a survivor has to commit to a gen for 2.5s before it stops regressing, then it's going to take them much longer to counteract that 5% instant regression, in fact they'll likely sustain an addition 3-4% regression just while doing so, and then the additional time it takes to make that back up, it would effectively mean kicks have a net regression of something like 12% by default. So take out the 5% instant regression, just keep the 2.5s commitment requirement to stop regression, and you already have your effective 5% regression built into that. It wouldn't allow for survivor mistakes like above that could allow for 10%, 15% etc. if you keep kicking it, but it would prevent those sneaky gen taps mid chase.

Personally I'd go with the instant 5% regression. It gives all players more agency, survivors can still tap gens, and killers have the option of breaking chase to get an additional 5% regression if they want to.

I think that allowing survivors to tap the gen in that scenario would result in many survivors trolling their teammates and working with the killer in order to reduce the gen progress to 0.

I also suggested that the progress gets paused while the survivor is repairing during those 2 seconds so there is no extra regression if they commit to repairing.

  • Well yes, any visual indication would be fine, but a skill check could result in some weird ######### like it already does with Overcharge where you touch the gen, start running, receive a skill check in the middle of nowhere, fails and then the gen magically explodes 😂

  • @LazyPayday said:

I'll make this short, do you think Legacy skins should be available to the community? I wanted to make this to see if the legacy owners truly care about their exclusivity or think others should have it too. Also this isn't me asking for it, I want to see if the majority agree with the devs or the devs are just talking for you in that it should always be exclusive.

You can "earn" the Legacy 2.0 skins (AKA Hallowed Blight skins) already, leave the old legacy ones alone!

  • @Woodywool said:

    I really like the idea.

The fact that killer is breaking a gen for some seconds but survivors can stop regression of it by tapping the gen is unfair, I think.

But I slightly change one thing:

    • Now every regression generator spawns a skill check when a survivor starts to repair it
    • A survivor must complete a skill check (any of good or great success zone) to stop the generator regression. It takes around 2 seconds too.

Because, the skill check will notify to the surv when the generator stops regression than holding M1 for 2 seconds. You can easily hold for 1.99 seconds and don't stop the regression. But with skill check, you will know when it ends. Or at least, make something visual banner (effect icon, for example) that it will show to the repairing survivor.

A skill check is not a bad idea, but it would be easier with another form of visual indication, btw dont forget there is Overcharge with the same effect, so it might get confusing if there were 2 skillchecks on the moment you touch a gen.

  • Its not a bug, you cant see killer auras while they are Undetectable.
