Incompetent killers LET us finish gens fast. He compensates with facecamping because he cant play pro actively and is angry because he blames system , not his skill.
Go learn, tactic, learn about vision tunnelling, have an open mind. Then you MIGHT not need to facecamp.
Here is my tactic for you:
I pick Leather Face > I down the first survivor > I camp with BBQ > They trade hooks > I get EASY points + SALT and barely played the game.
Find another match, rinse and repeat.
Efficiency... YES!

You can't down Survivors with it and they can out run you so I don't really see a point to it? I've been trying to level him up because I want his perks and I figured ill play some games as him. So I need some tips or is he just that bad?
Some killers were made with the sole purpose of providing memes for the community.
Legion is one of them...

Actually, the most satisfying thing is when you chain a t-bagging survivor at the edge of the exit gates, blocks their escape and mannages to kill the douchebag...

Blood Favor actually did something. On the PTB, it has allowed trickster to shut down loops as soon as ONE knife hits a survivor. That's just trickster. Imagine killer's like Deathsligner, Plague, Nemesis, and Huntress. Remember, the change was that it has a bigger range and now it is affected by SPECIAL ATTACKS.
Im not sure if i understood what you are talking about but:
(All changes mentioned are based on the latest version of the game, the PTB)
The "Blood Favour: No changes" already considers the PTB version, so it doesnt need extra changes other than the ones found in the PTB.
Im not sure if the first knife of Trickster should block pallets tho, but if its intended, it will be great on live servers XD

So running at 90% vs 115%, who can bloodlust on top of that... yeah, I see how that wouldn't be broken.
But as for Hexes:
- Devour Hope would've been OP as hell, 3 hooks and you get permanent expose?
- Crowd Control - simply broken, with your great idea of running at 90% chases would end in 10 seconds
- Blood Favor - pretty OP if that wouldn't be Hex
- Plaything - permanent stealth no matter what... yeah, that's obviously totally fine
You seem to be upset about Boons, okay, but still that post sounds like typical crying of a killer main who wants a total easy mode, not even easy, but auto-win mode. You REALLY and sincerely think this would've been balanced? Because your idea wasn't even near that word.
Plus Boons are good, yeah and BHVR will probably nerf them anyway, but you know you CAN get rid of them? Yes, they are good, but they aren't 'uncounterable'. Boons are nowhere near being as broken as your idea.
Play KYF match, equip DH, Ruin, Blood Favor & Crowd Control, make rules that your friends cannot interact with totems (to imitate your idea of Hexes without totems) and see how the game goes. I guarantee this will be a complete braindead, easiest win of your life.
Please read my response to the first guy, i've already answeared this idead of "OMG X perk would be so broken".
On the Exhaustion topic, i said "5 or 10%", devs could try it out and see which number fits best, but even with this small speed reduction survivors would still be able to loop for days using pallets and windows.
Take a look at clown, he reduces survivors speed by 15% and also make them slow vault windows, but even then, he still is one of the weakest killers in the game, i asure you there are several reasons for that, and a 5% decresed speed for survivors who already used one of their second chance perks won't change much, but could help a bit.

Survivors have 2 choice: destroy Hex or turn Hex to Dull.
Killers have 2 choice: destroy Boon or turn Boon to Dull.
Requires survivors to turn Hex to Dull before turn Dull to Boon. That way it will take survivors 28sec if a totem is a Hex. While keep everything else at 14sec.
Well thats another way too, but i didnt want to change how they work so soon because you know... devs put a lot of effort and thinking before releasing them on the PTB, right?
-
@nikodemo said:
Generally, I think survivors are too fast. It drags out chases, leads to hold-W meta and Scooby Doo esque looping.
It's excessive. Their run speeds need to be toned down, or maybe exhaustion slows you down more.
I think that whenver you have the Exhaustion status effect on you, your Running speed should be reduced by 5 or 10%.
That way there is a trade off for exaustion perks, which would probably bring more perk variety into builds in general.
-
Not really, it basically guarantees that you get the maximum amount of ground covered with your charges with no server or input delays.
So, most of the time you can chainsaw for longer than normal, but it got nerfed and now your speed is reduced =/.

@C3Tooth said:
Boon should not trump over Hex like if there is a Boon and 5 Gen done. Noed should be triggered and trump on that Boon.
Otherwise its good. Boon has to be strong so survivor feel like its worth to spend 14sec on Boon, or they use 14sec on Gen which is a lose.
Circle of healing should only give ability to self healing at 16sec speed. 2 survivors there pay 16sec to heal themselves is already far stronger than healing each other for 32sec (without Boon)
Oh i think it would be clear because Blessing take as much time as Cleansing, but it wouldn't be 14 seconds, would be 21 instead.

Yesterday i was playing Hag (without Franklins) and a full CWF changed to 4 flashlights at last second during lobby...
All of them had the same perks: Dead hard, Unbreakable, Soul Guard and DS.
On every chance they had during a chase, they would go into a locker and blind me whenver i tried to catch them.
There were many t-bags, blinds, removed traps, pointing, locker abuse and hook spam...
In the end, 1 gen got done, i got 28k points while they got 7-11k, everyone got slugged to death and they were EXTREMELY SALTY on the end game chat 😄.

Problem is that it is not guaranteed hit and you can miss that. It happened to me several times already.

My newest fail resulted in getting normal hit instead of insta-down with Oni. Also really nice.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=083Wa4oEs5c
Either remove it, or just make that guaranteed hit.
I don't understand, why it is not guaranteed already. I obviously was in range for it...
I think that instead of a guaranteed hit we should get a guaranteed grab, its so awkward to start a grab animation then stand still for 0.3 secs or so and then hit the air / survivor...

I understand the purpose of this perk is to help new/lowskill players to get at least some kills in the game, but it doesn't really help them learn how to properly play the game nor it does provide fair experience for survivors. Why hand out insta-downs and speed boost for little to no effort in the match? A simple time limit of 90 or 60 seconds (like Haunted Ground, imagine the latter having no time limit) would suffice even without removing Haste.
Do you consider gen-rush and 90 pallets per map a "fair experience" for killers?

@nickofford said:
Cleanse 12 totems to prevent a perk which might not even be in the game (Noed) and each totem takes 21 seconds
This is beyond unrealistic
Just as waiting 60 extra seconds after each unhook in order to prevent a perk which might not even be in the game (DS), oh and lets not talk about Unbreakable and Dead hard which add even more time to killers when survivors use them.

Devour hope would be overpowered and run on every loadout, 3 hooks as any killer you now get exposed effects 5 hooks you win the game
Thrill of the hunt would be useless unless it was reworked slowing down totem blessing / cleansing is useless with no incentive to do so
ruin would be op
undying would be useless
retribution would be useless
third seal would be extremely annoying but mostly punish soloqueue more than swfs
plaything would be op permanent oblivious can be brutal
Noed would still be noed so fine I guess
Lullabye could become a meta perk (against streamers who read chat)
Haunted grounds would be useless
Crowd control would be ok
Blood favor would be pretty good
DH would be good, but survivors can still counter it just as usual, unhook with BT before killer can get away from the hook.
TOTH would not be useless, it would be as much as useful as it is on the PTB, just to slow boons and cleansing.
Ruin would be ok just as it is now, survivors would just keep gen rushing and tunelling as usual, not a big change overall.
Undying wouldn't be useless, you still get the aura reading, but now you get from every totem, good thing against someone setting boons.
Retribution wouldn't be useless, you still get oblivious effect, again, good against boons.
Third seal is ok.
Plaything would also be ok, as it rewards for hooking different survivors and might actually make this game somewhat scary again.
Lullaby with 5 stacks usually only works against noobs, so it wouldnt be much of a difference from now...
Haunted grounds is the only perk which would need a rework, would be great if it effect triggered every time a dull is cleansed.
NOED, CC and Blood favor would be ok, as you've already said.

After the implementation of SBMM and the devs constantly ignoring player input, I am so f-ing close to uninstalling this game. As killer, I am constantly getting frustrated over only and I mean ONLY playing against sweaty SWF squads that give me no chance of winning whatsoever. When I first started playing DBD (when Ghost Face was released) it was so much fun as I thought I was winning/losing an even amount of times and making ACTUAL PROGRESS towards getting better at the game.
But now with the introduction of SBMM, I haven't won a single game and I can't make any progress on getting better because I have no control over how the match plays out, and for the life of me I can't figure out what to improve on as killer because each game goes the same exact way: Survivors gen-rush and the gates are opened within 5 minutes, regardless of how many slowdown perks I use. Additionally, it makes my blood BOIL when survivors taunt you and rub it in your face that you cant win by t-bagging, flashlight clicking, etc.
To the devs, fix your goddamn game. It's not fun anymore for me, and for loads of other people in this community. This game has so much potential if you guys were to actually take our input seriously. The fact that you guys ignore us 9/10 times is infuriating and makes a lot of us want to just quit playing your game completely. So for the love of God, please please please PLEASE balance the game for Killers.
I'm also welcome to hearing other people's input as I know I probably sound biased lmao. All I ask is that you are respectful of my opinions, thanks :)
If you have hope, you can still playing, but if you dont (specially because this game always mannage to frustrate us with every update), you should just uninstall and move on.
Maybe you should go play Civ. 5 or something else, did you see Diablo 2 remastered just launched? I'm having a blast with it, if you like the ARPG genre, i strongly reccomend it!

This is not a bait, i wanna see ppl opnion on this.
-
I want new viable killers, not new broken survivor perks in my game!
-
- If a survivor is hooked in the basement, it instantly loses 33/66/99% of its current life stage.
Its a generic perk so it deserves a generic effect, this should be enough to make this perk viable and fun at same time.

I know a majority of hex perks aren't used for a multitude of reasons. But I'm curious if you had the opportunity to change all the hex perks to be better how would you do it.
How would you buff all the hex perks in a way that warrants it to be a hex?
Rework Hex Perks to have 2 effects, 1 thats stronger while a totem is lit and a weaker effect that will remain even if the associated totem is cleansed. That way you don't lose them completely even with bad maps and ######### survivor spawns.
For exemple, Ruin:
- While the totem is active gens will start regressing at 100/150/200% the normal rate whenever its untouched.
- If the totem got cleansed gens will start regressing at normal rate if they are left alone for 5/4/3 seconds.
Notice that even tho it might look strong, you have to take in account that by equipping ruin it will become almost impossible to use Pop on the same build, or other "gen kicking" perks.

When you run this perk, do you feel that you get a decent amount of extra game-time from it? I haven't yet bought Pinhead and I'm wondering if it might provide more value to the game than Deadlock when you consider both the Obliviousness and cleansing time. When I'm hit by Plaything as survivor, getting rid of the totem is first priority. I'm assuming that all 4 survivors generally do cleanse. That's almost exactly 1 minute of time added to the game, not counting travel time.
I usually run Plaything as a replacement for Undying, so Ruin and Plaything is a better choice than Undying, at least for me...

I see lots of discouraged killers and survivors say they can't stand constantly going up against the same handful of perks over and over again. That being the case, as a survivor main, I've been running builds that avoid items, exhaustion, gen progression and super healing, all in hopes that killers might have less of a super sweaty match. I was wondering how you guys feel about your opponents running off-meta loadouts? Do you think it lessens your frustration at all or makes the game more enjoyable for you? Or do you think I'm just putting myself in a disadvantageous position by purposefully avoiding the most useful perks?
I know when I have a match against a killer who camps and tunnels me, I have that urge to slap DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, etc, and screw the next killer that tries to touch me, but I don't wanna make anyone's match unpleasant. I get that I can play how I want to, but I'd rather play so everyone has fun, if I can help it. What do y'all think?
It will lessen my frustration if i don't see gens popping every 40 seconds, survivors leading me to building loops, dead hards to pallets, BT, DS and Unbreakable, chases taking more than 30 seconds to finish, hits not validating on pallets and survivors faking a save multiple times on the hook.

@xX_DeoxRc_Xx said:
I'm not talking about actions like "not being toxic, not looping an infinite" etc.
What would you add to the game to prevent these situations??
I would do it so if the killer was on a certain range of the hooked survivor for a certain time, the killer will get blinded and unable to hear anything until 5 seconds after the survivor got unhooked
Most of the time, its survivors fault.
They get camped because killer is feeling pressured, or because the hooked one was very toxic during the chase.
Its very rare for a killer to camp if gens are not flying and survivors are not toxic.
A basic killer midset is as follows: 1 gen = 1 kill / 2 health states.
So if a survivor makes the killer lose a gen, he will probably camp until second life stage, and if another gen is finished while the survivor is hooked, he will do his best to guarantee that kill.
Keep that in mind while playing and you will probably see less camping, but if you wanna troll the other survivors, just gen rush so they all get camped while you escape an "easy match"...

What are the chances of giving Spirit some variation on the Pinhead window vault animation so she reclaims some of that ethereal/ghostlike quality that makes her pretty unique?
I feel just like the change to remove her collision while phasing, it would really help make her feel more Spirit like to play against.
Doesnt really matter anymore, Spirits will become a mythical being much like Demogorgon these days, she will be dead next patch.

Who else thinks Built to Last will be meta? Obviously it will only work with items but it can work great with medkits and toolboxes and probably won’t be that OP considering survivors have to waste time hiding in lockers to use the perk.
Gens are already too fast, now survivors will have 3 toolboxes each...
Killers should just give up at this point, like AFK at a corner, DC or just have a break until the next update...

Like I haven’t had a non toxic match in probably months. I’d say since March.
Maybe you can try to tunnel the first one to death and then slug the rest until everyone is out of unbreakable.
On the chat you should drop one of these GEMS:
- "GG" followed by "GG = Git Gud"
OR
- "GG EZ 4K BB SURVIVORS" if you actually killed everyone with that strategy.
Proceed to harverst any SALT they decide to drop and move on to the next match... Keep doing that and hope survivors will someday reflect on what they are doing for themselves.

Works for the majority of killers (mostly for 115% ones). Its a lot of fun, give it a try.
- Devour Hope
- Haunted Ground (or Undying)
- Make Your Choice
- Starstruck (or NOED)
Also another nice and viable build which works well on most killers, but i've been using it mostly on Wraith.

His power needs some smalls buffs overall, but he is playable right now, you just need to know when to use your chains and also be VERY accurate with them.
Which means you arent supposed to use it on open areas just to try and catch survivors quicker (that doesnt help at all).
You should be using the chain only at pallets, windows and loops in general, so you can get free hits whenever you land your chains.

As a Legion main, whos ONLY POWER is to GO FAST... my top movement speed is 130--and I'm not invisible. Like you can see my a mile away most likely.
So I just watched my friend get the easiest 4ks I've ever seen by just being cloaked, walking up behind survivors, uncloaking, and then with his burst he gets after uncloaking just slugs them--cloaks again--catches up--uncloaks, and hits them again.
Like... da fek
Like let me know if I'm getting confused with something but it seems like some killers are just daddys favorite lol
Thats why we have killer tiers...
Low Tier: Wraith.
Trash Tier: Legion.
Its simple as that...
