Heya - what is the best way to contact someone from the game? Nothing super important but for small thugs. Like, how today I didn’t receive my gift of 30k blood points per the elf calendar :)

    Thanks folks!

You wanna contact the devs to receive the equivalent of half the amount of bloodpoints a player gets in a single match on average?

Complete the tutorial or even 1 challenge from the rift and u will probably get those points faster than trying to appeal to the support.

Hey everyone! What is the SINGLE best advice you would give to a new player (either from the perspective of a killer or survivor)?

SINGLE best advice? Thats easy: Uninstall.

If possible u should refund and never look back, this game is Toxicity itself, it only ruin people's lives, its depressing, stressful and painful, staying away from it is literally the best thing u can do in regards to this game, for your sanity and your own health!

So survivors can see auras of incoming Artist birds at long range and move out of the way. (In fact it was highlighted in the official Artist survival guide on the DbD twitter.) Which makes me think maybe Fearmonger would be a fun perk to try with her. 🤔 Fearmonger makes survivors Exhausted and (more relevant here) Blind while working on a generator. Which could make it really difficult to dodge the birds sent from long range unless you just intuitively guess one is coming.

If anybody has tried Fearmonger out on Artist I’m curious how it went. 🙂

Most killer powers that involve auras wont be denied by Blindness (Freddy, Pig, Plague, Pin Head...) so its very likely that the survivors will still be able to see the crows aura even while blinded, i havent tested that in particular, so its worth shot on a KYF lobby, but even if the blindess does work it will probably be considered a bug...

Lmao so you farm them because they use the original meaning of the waving?

No, i farm them because they are trolling everyone else on the match, me included, thats why i run Kindred so i know from a far if they are trolling or not, if they are, i'll do my very best to FARM and to KILL them, and when i do kill them, i go to their profile and drop some "-rep troll survivor" on their comments as a warning to those who visit their profile so they know who they are dealing with already in the lobby.

Such a shame, as survivor, we should be facing The Artist 90 procent of our matches so close after release . But i feel like she's really unpopular. Such a shame!

Why are you not playing the artist?

Well i intend to play her more, but im still getting the perks for the build, i barely got P3 2 days ago, but since she can't interupt from a far and her chases are very long for the most part (because everyone just holds W and she is heavily slowed down during her power), i can see why ppl aren't playing her very often.

I can't say I've heard that before, usually it's the other way round but idk it's gotten muddied these last couple of years lol

I mean, they are waving like "come here, come here, cmon!!" whenever i see someone waving while the killer is camping, i know the guy is trolling and i either farm them on the hooks or let them die.

  • 1 Survivor report = 1/4 of a Report.

    1 Killer report = 1 Report.

Get hundreds and hundreds of Reports on you and someone MIGHT decide if its worth their time to even attempt to check if those reports are true or not.

If they are, there is a very small chance that the same person reviewing those cases will dish out a ban (probably 1 day ban on most cases).

Your case is probably reportable because they are targetting you constantly, but it would still take thousands of matches of you reporting them before they even have a chance to get temporary banned...

I suggest you either play on a different time, use cross play or dodge the lobby... Or you could go play knowing they will sandbag you anyways, so you should pay them in the same coin.

  • Its a way to call survivors and tell them its safe to unhook, or they should at least try "now".

If the survivor is not waving on the hook, it usually means that its unsafe because the killer is nearby.

ooh? good to know , i knew they could hit you but if there is no obstacles that's nice. thanks. tho what counts as an obstacle? a tallwall , shortwall?

Damaging crow will only happen across windows, pallets and stairs, if it goes through groundless areas (any form of second floor drop and even the small hills) or any obstacle (big or small) it wont deal damage, but apply a swarm.

  • It does nothing but slow you down, better use Clown, at least u slow survivors instead of yourself.

I suppose u didnt read her power nor played her either.

In a 8 meters range from the idle crow its a damage area as long as there arent obstacles in the way.

  • Other survivors are only there so i can use my perks to leech bloodpoints faster, there is no such thing as "teammates" its everybody for themselves, live or die and find another match ASAP.

Yes u are a CASUAL for not prestiging if u intend to play with that character, prestiging is not for the bloody cosmectics, its a proof that u arent playing like a filthy CASUAL.

Most cosmectics on store are better than prestige ones, did u actually believe that ppl care about the bloody cosmectics and thats the reason they prestiged in the first place?

LOL. I would rather go against Pinhead than Clown all day. Clown's bottles are better than his possessed chain and easier to use. For how difficult/punishing his chain is I have a handful of experiences where it helped me more than just basic attacking them.

Indeed you are right, i suppose that even clown is less than a living meme than Pinhead at this point, after all, he didnt even CAME.

  • @BaronVonChickenpants said:

As a QOL improvement can we perhaps remove the message that appears whenever you finish a level 50 bloodweb informing you that you can prestige that character?

I understand the need to inform the player the first few times, but maybe not every single time you finish a level 50 on a character that you are not planning on prestiging. Maybe once every 5 or 10 web completions instead of every time?

Ah... A CASUAL asking for CASUAL "QoL" changes, how cute... 🤣

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

So Pinhead got big nerfs on his add-ons because according to stats he was OP thanks to his add-ons. Do you think he will be around 50% winrate now or he will drop below 50% and maybe recive some buffs in future?

He wasnt nerfed, only his addons, so it didnt change much, still a mid tier killer that can be easily countered by CWFs and several map tiles. He is just as threatening as Clown.

I play both sides, but I consider myself a survivor main. I enjoy it more cause I get to play with my SWF most of the time. Even when I’m not swfing I still enjoy solo que from time to time. But I’ve noticed (today at least), that every match it’s the same thing: nurse or spirit with ruin, undying, tinkerer, BBQ. Almost every killer we’ve gotten camps if even ONE gen pops. Aren’t you tired of just babysitting the hook? There’s no more variety in this game anymore. It’s just the same 3 killers with the same build all the time. These are the types of killers that think they’re good for running the build I mentioned above. It’s funny to see them shake their head when they down someone and hit on hook only to see them get 4 escaped and watch them be embarrassed at the end. Every game is the same…. It’s just sad. This is why there’s so many SWF teams out because solos don’t stand a chance against it. Can you blame SWF?

I think you misunderstood the mindset of killers, so i came here to make it simple for you...

    1 Gen = 1 Kill.

If 1 gen pops, SOMEONE has to pay for that and if nobody is dead yet, whoever gets hooked will get camped so that "1 Gen = 1 Kill" can be achieved.

If 2 gens pop, then 2 survivors should die too, and thats why you see the killer camping the entire game, its either because someone got unhooked before getting killed by the entity, or because more than 1 gen got done while the first survivor was on the hook, so the killer will camp the second one and so on...

If you like chill games where the killer dont camp, try not putting so much pressure on him so he will be more willing to leave hooks and go find someone else as long as he is not feeling pressured by the time.

I don't understand why survivors get a speed burst when contaminated by tentacle with the first hit. They don't even get injured.

Survivors that are fully infected by Plague don't get a speed burst and they get injured & broken.

Just seems inconsistent and I feel like this holds back Nemesis.

It makes even less sense once you notice that infecting them does not count as "interupt" which means that they can continue on the gen, totem, exit gates and so on...

Anyways its just another proof of the devs bias.

I feel like I'm playing way worse then I normally do on other M1 killers, especially in T1.

It's not helping that for some reason, MMR decided to give me at least 1 BNP for all of the games I've tried to start learning him with.

I only got him yesterday, but I do think I'm getting better. I'd say my main issues right now are about gen pressure and overcommitting to chase.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    The Build:

    • Discordance
    • Ruin
    • Tinkerer
    • Undying
    • No addons because we will be playing like a MAN

    The playstyle:

Start the game just as normal, go to a far away gen and look for survivors (if discordance doesnt pop first), when you find them u have to make a decision, you either hit them with a whip or hit them with M1, getting to stage 2 is pretty important and will take you 2 hits on non infected survivors to get you there, but sometimes its better to just M1 so you dont waste too much time.

When nobody is infected think of your power as Michael's Evil Within, you probably wanna use it when u can't land a normal hit such as across pallets and windows, also if u are not very confident of landing the whip, only use it in corners and easy to hit areas, not the open ones.

As the game goes on you should constantly consider if its a good time to whip (and give them an extra speed boost) or to just M1. For me i find it more threatening to use the whip as an ensurance to damage them on places i normally wouldnt rather than spamming it and making my gameplay super predictable...

  • Remove this Dead Hard BULLSHIT hits and then we can talk about nerfing dead horses.

If you were a good killer there would be no escapes and thus no t-bag crying post. Get over it.

Boon totems are dishonest. I play mostly on maniacs and I can't help but see how much more difficult it has become to play on some maniacs. Why do you give adons for Myers at the first stage, if he does not see people through the walls because of the totems ??? And even if someone is injured, they run away to where I do not see them and heal themselves. Great game developers.

Maybe its time we should all go play Civilization V and see what happens...

  • Its not a bug, the hatch only spawns when there is 1 survivor left now.

"Where did they go" achievement also got changed in the process.

I suggest you to keep up with patch notes...

  • Ppl will come here telling you to use Thrill of The Hunt, but the actual counter is to stop playing killer entirely and go play something else, have you heard of Civilization V?

I heard its a great game...

  • Go to your profile, click on Edit Profile then you will find the option on the left side of the screen...

This perk is only used to camp a place or to camp the hook with a survivor and make a trap, how likely is it to use this perk in a corner pretending to be afk to catch a survivor off guard? It is pathetic, we should fix it so that it is more used.

I think it should make the killer invisible, just like Wraith when he is standing still while cloaked.

That's not what I said, or meant. I specifically mentioned that because of the comment about their feedback being ignored - I pointed out that the comment was tagged so it shows it hadn't been ignored. I pretty much read all the feedback on this forum.

Could you take a look on this then?

    @DbD_Enjoyer said:

We all know that matches end too fast and many killers struggle really hard to get at least 6 hooks before all gens gets done, and because of that the game becomes really frustrating and stressful...

In an attempt to stop all that gen rush, many of us run several slowdown perks, but not everyone has the luxury of picking any perk they want, specially because they might be new and dont have them unlocked yet...

So today i come with an idea to help alleviate the gen rush that will help everyone (newbies and new killers included)!

    • When a killer kicks a generator, it instantly regresses by 5%, then it keep regressing until a survivor stops it.

Kicking gens completely removes the momentum of a chase and survivors can easily stop the regression, making it borderline useless if you are not running Pop.

With this change, there would be an incentive to do so and it would also make the seconds you take to kick and the chases you didnt start on the spot less punishing for the killer.

I also believe that it should combo with Pop and Opression, both of them take one of your perk slots each, it only makes sense that they are worth it.

    • A survivor must stay repairing a generator for 2 Seconds before it stops regressing.

Why does the killer have to completely stop whatever it was doing to go into a long kicking animation while the survivors can literally tap the gen, even in the middle of a chase, and instantly stop the regression? This just sounds a biased and completely survivor sided mechanic, its simply not fair at all!

If you think that this is too strong, make it so the gen progress stays paused while the survivor is "holding it", but if they leave the gen before those 2 seconds, it will start regressing at its own again.

Yes, any form of regression over time should be affected by this, including Ruin.

I really hope the devs see this post, doesnt sound OP, would make sense, helps new players, newly released killers and would probably change the killers decision making quite a bit!

I'd like to see your opnions on this, leave your comments below!

Its an old post of mine, but i think its still an issue up to this day and these are pretty reasonable changes that could get tested on future PTBs.

  • @Mandy said:

Hi, accessibility issues are always something that we're aware of, and this is feedback that I will bring back to the team.

@BastardKing you're not being ignored, I have seen your posts and if you notice on your last one, I did mark it with the BHVR read tag - to show that this was feedback that wasn't being ignored.

Ah, so if there isnt a "BHVR read tag" on he post, it was indeed IGNORED, no matter its content?

Nothing to say here, just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

The thing is that the game tries to achieve a competitive feeling, but because its not balanced at all, ppl think its a casual game and then we get this mess called Dead by Daylight where you hate it, but still play on a daily basis (makes no sense) while devs in their delusion believe that "They did a Pretty Good Job so Far."

  • @hiken said:

literally the less and less i want to play this game, 0 variety. you can stand a nurse or 2 same with spirit per day but if thats the only thing you get you start to get really annoyed with this game, and stop playing. it doesnt matter if u lose or win, is still the same.

hopefully something can be done like LOL banning certain killers or something so at least you can get variety i wouldnt mind waiting 10 minutes for a decent game instead of going against 2 spirits in a row or 3. really.

Well if the killer is not Nurse / Spirit, then survivors gen rush and he gets 0 to 1 kill on average, thats really frustrating and encourages said killer to stop playing the game or just spam Nurse / Spirit in order to stand a chance.

  • @landromat said:

You just can't have fun with mmr system in this game anymore. If you want to keep playing you have to lose your mmr or your neurons will eventually die.

I got my rank 1s and now i play perkless/add-onless killers and no mither survivors just to lose a lot of games and lose my mmr. There is no reason to keep it high. This game becomes like a job. It was just 1 month and i already straight up not having fun and this is the only way i'll keep playing.

Maybe we should ask question is mmr even worth it if we can't have fun anymore.

System that forces you to intentionally lose your games is a bad system

I decided to use LF and camp every single survivor i get, never drop a chase, never blink, never allow them to leave the hook, never respect a pallet, and so i either lose the match, and thus my MMR, or i win with 4 easy kills, which equals to FUN, so yeah this seems fine to me.

    1. Let the killer By the altar execute the survivors.

    2. Let the action of saving teammates become the need to collect some sacrifices within time, and resurrect teammates in random places. A survivor can be resurrected three times.

    3. Let the survivors need to complete the main goal to add some different gameplay, add interesting changes, extend the game time, instead of ending the game within 3~5 minutes.

And this can effectively solve the killer’s inability to interact with the survivor long enough, and permanently solve the problem of camping and tunneling.

When the survivors found a very quick way to repair the generator, everything was different and caused the following problems.

A lot of Quickly repair the generator , Led to a lot of camping and tunneling.

We need to greatly improve the game’s mechanics in order to permanently solve the problems that hinder new players from joining, and permanently solve the problems that bother players and the company.

OMG... first of all, you CAN get rid of totems. Do you understand difference between 'can' and cannot'? You CAN snuff out Boons, with your changes I CANNOT get rid of your 'hexes'. So no, Boons are not braindead, they are strong, not braindead like idea of 'hexes without totems'.

Second - Boons most likely will get nerfed. Geez, do you even understand the words 'TEST BUILD'? It's not out yet! They are TESTING stuff! That's the point of PTB, you go there, you TEST, you give feedback. I know BHVR works in a weird way sometimes, but I'm pretty sure they will tweak the numbers of Boon totems.

Third - if Boons were perks without totems, then yeah, Hexes could also work without totems. You can get rid of Boons, I can get rid of Hexes. You can do it also extremely quickly, I can't stop you from doing so, setting up Boons takes a lot of time, you can defend your Hexes, stop me from cleansing them...

Mocking is not the answer here, crying is never received as a valuable opinion, it's just that - crying. Give an actual opinion why Boons are too overpowered, propose a change. If people were only doing what you're doing, BHVR would never nerf/change anything, because they'd never take that kind of 'opinion' seriously.

Boons can be reset, Hexes can't.

I've already proposed a change, here it is:

    @DbD_Enjoyer said:

    • Their effect range should be 4/6/8 meters.
    • Once the killer breaks your boon totem, you lose the associated perks, so you can only use boon totems once per match, just as hex perks.

Its simple as that, as they are on the PTB, they are utterly broken, up to 4 of them can be active at a time around the map and also replaced once broken, it makes no sense that they have such a huge area of effect and can be used more than once per match!

  • @Nomadd said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2538298#Comment_2538298

Yeah, because Clown has no map pressure, but 1v1 he's pretty decent, everyone can tell you that.

You still have absolutely no clue about what balance is and what you're trying to do is completely butcher one side. I don't know if you ever play as survivor, but you seem like an absolute killer main, who recently has miserable time and it seems fair to you, if devs gave you auto-win mode.

Again, your suggestion was never standing next to balance, you're just trying to make this game unwinable for survivors. I agree, that some killers are on the weaker side, but completely destroying survivors is not the answer.

Again again - survivor speed. You are already faster, 10-15%, if you still can't catch someone... it kind of is not devs fault. You have powers, bloodlust, you can mindgame as well as survivors. Sorry, but your problems with catching survivors are not the reason why they should be butchered to the ground.

As for perks, again - they would be EXTREMELY overpowered. I gave you an answer with a suggestion - play KYF match with those perks, make rules with your friends that they cannot touch totems, to simulate your idea. This will really be most braindead, easiest win of your life.

4 Boon totems spread throughout 60-70% of a map is also braindead, so if survivors have this, why killers cant?
