I love playing Hag, and do a pretty unique style with her (no traps near hooks, but I poop traps wherever I go), running Surge, Monitor, STBFL, Devour Hope. Holy crap does this work well as soon as I get momentum. If I know it's going to be a tough game (I see an obvious SWF with fancy skins) I drop STBFL for Corrupt.
a fellow based hag player that doesn't trap hooks!!? we are rare in the wild.
-
that's not a ruin problem that's a hex problem ruin is the strongest regression perk in the game and the release of undying made ruin a pretty popular and somewhat reliable perk again. but you can still have unlucky games where both hexes disappear in seconds which is a risk you have to take if you want ruin as your gen perk.
-
sure, they can nerf his chase back to 8 knives maybe but only if they give him a decent map mobility/pressure otherwise he'd be another deathslinger the potentially fast downs are the only thing going for him right now.
-
take a chance and don't prestige. whatever they gonna give out is probably not worth it.
-
then make one bruh, it'd make it much easier to know what the problem is.
-
boring to play, super fun to play against anyone who complains about going against a billy is a #########. I'll complain tho if they're a m1illy

Technically all Killers except Trapper are oppressive on a 3Gen I had a stand off for 1 hr and 5 mins before the Survivors just gave up and stood by hooks and I was playing Vommy Mommy. This sounds like your team was more to blame than the Nurse just doing her objective to protect Gens. I have been "reported" by survivors saying I was holding the game hostage because I wouldn't chase them and stay by the gens.
you really wanted the win so bad you made a dbd match last 1 hour!! god
i hope the tournament money was worth it..oh wait it was just a normal match.
-
if you don't meet pre drop gods he's one of the strongest killers in the game

Thanks for the BP's! Makes basement camping that much more satisfying. :)
Seeing as survivors like rushing all generators within 3 minutes when you're meming around you must not want to get the blood points right so surely being in the basement getting nothing is okay?
playing bubba while roleplaying a clown

Yes, and maybe for the best. Hawkins was awful, and demogorgon was the most overliked killer in the entire game. People are always like "oh, he's so wholesome and fun to go against", but he has unlimited map traversal with only a bit of setup and no real way to counter it as he can instantly place the portal after you cleanse it, and he just gets free hits in every window, pallet or straightway with little you can do about it. He's just as busted at zoning as pyramid and deathslinger and nemesis. Will never understand the diehard love for him, it's just loop until you get to a window and die.
the shred fake is annoying yes but that's about it he's balanced and you need to learn how to play against him better.
actually you don't need to since you'll be seeing him once in a blue moon :(

I personally don´t play her anymore because yes, she has good addons, but now she needs those addons to be viable. I disike such dependencys, because they are not always availible and i tend to play different killers, so i rather skip her.
Also, i dislike just running in circles, but since her nerf she does just that, while other killers have better options.
pre nerf or post nerf spirit always needed addons cuz she isn't that fast basekit and her cooldown is too long are we gonna pretend every spirit pre nerf didn't run speed and duration?
-
you were going so well till i read dead hard and i just stopped reading.
-
billy is a boring old design i don't see him working anymore no matter the buffs. you have bubba, oni, blight instead learn those they're much more fun, powerful and rewarding.
there are more important killers that need buffs rn (twins, deathslinger, sadako)
-
pretty sure overzealous is supposed to get buffed cuz it's ######### compared to prove thyself.
-
yes, shirtless david and scoops ahoy steve also nancy has pretty good cosmetics so she's my female main survivor.
i love how nea has the brightest most colorful skins in the game so i also like to play her cuz of that from time to time.
-
these killers didn't have any legacy, plus the remaining players with legacy who still play this game are probably so so rare or They rather use cosmetics most of the time.

Am I the only one who thinks The Dredge is too OP? He needs nerfing
he's perfectly fine and if anything he could use a couple buffs.
-
instadowns end chases way too fast for the emblem to get enough progress. mostly any killer who hits twice should do it.
-
the only thing i wanted back from the old animations is when survivors look left and right at the beginning of a game it made them look scared and alive instead of looking like bots but other than that no. all animations needed a change they looked terrible.
-
yeah they're 100% saving the rework for that chapter.
-
anyone says anything other than trickster is biased.

Dead Hard is a pain in the d*, but at least it can be baited and outplayed. Boon: Circle of Healing can't be countered unless you waste a perk slot for Shattered Hope, but even then, the time it takes to go over there can cost you a 3-gen if it's far enough away. If you want a full explanation, go check out Pixel Bush's video on it.
circle of healing got too many nerfs that survivors barely bother equipping it anymore and they went back to self care/medkits instead. plus the buffs to sloppy, hemorrhage and the abundance of legions make it even less appealing and now you have a perk to counter it if it's too common in your matches.
coh is no longer as powerful as dead hard
still an issue? yeah maybe but it's far from it's former glory.
-
a trickster map a trickster map a trickster map, DO IT BHVR HE NEEDS IT DON'T MISS ON THIS OPPORTUNITY.
-
I'd perhaps make beast of prey make you gain bloodlust faster in addition to the undetectable (this could either be broken or useless tho not sure)
territorial should have another purpose entirely, no one cares if someone went into the basement or not but am not sure what it'd change to
-
it's back to the ptb version due to a bug
-
stupid antiloop on paper but in practice it hardly pays off to warrant a nerf. he is too dependant on survivors making mistakes to win either by failing to hold w against the remnant thing or not reacting fast enough to his tp ( and not having dead hard) and he's always forced to tp to locked lockers wasting a lot of his time. plus his stupid directional sound he makes dredge is really not that good to deserve a nerf.

Pyramid Head is so strong, I have no idea how he could ever be considered even just a bit weak. Nemesis is also strong in my opinion. Maybe not 100%% viable at the highest level of play, but still fairly strong. Same goes for Demogorgon.
Pinhead also has a lot of potential, especially if you get a good feeling for where his box spawns. Problem with him is that his passive is too good, and his main power, the one that takes a lot of skill, is not strong enough.
The rest I kind of agree with. Fredy isn't as weak as some people seem to believe, in my opinion, but he's also not particularly strong or anything.
pyramid head falls apart cuz he has no map pressure , no good addons , kind of an annoying power to use and aim and that power gives survivors more counterplay than that of nemesis'
imo pyramid head definitely needs to be looked at again and be made better.
-
she plays like any basic m1 killer while being worse than all of them, nothing really deep or complicated about onryō.
-
no decay yet but they talked about adding it to mmr recently.

@TeleportingTurkey said:
wait till people finally figure out how to properly use remnant
wait till survivors realize remnant is a thing so they hold w and render it useless.
-
he still is an m1 killer that relies so much on survivors making mistakes more than relying on his power to accomplish anything even his mobility can be rng cuz some maps still have a locker deadzone areas. Plus the what you call "portal" that he leaves behind will not work if you don't let it to and hold w and go to another loop or (fake) going to another loop or running through it before he can tp to it.
as for nightfall you can still hear where he is cuz he makes a noise all the time while walking exposing his place nightfall is more about buffing his power than being a hindrance to survivors cuz it barely does anything except on really dark maps.
maybe just take your time to learn his counterplay instead of complaining about the killer being op this soon?

You cannot compare the Pig camping a box to Bubba camping a hook.
The issue with Piggy was that she could use an addon, then AFK in front of a box - do nothing at all, and still get a kill. Bubba at least has to chase and hook survivors.
they're comparable in both being miserable playstyles to go against i guarantee you that most people would rather go against an afk pig with the addon than be camped by a bubba. but anyway here i am on my COPIUM hoping the promised base game changes would do anything to make this playstyle less rewarding against solo queuers but I'll probably be disappointed as usual.

she's not worth it imo, ugly survivor with useless perks.

Sadako is superfun. She actually got me back to playing the game after essentially 2 year hiatus, and when I hated the game enough to hide it from my steam game directory. The game is still #########, but at least Im temporarily having fun.
I played the snot out of Nurse when she first came out and everyone thought she was garbage. I did the same when Spirit came out. Now Sadako... Im sure that same pattern will repeat unfortunately and the devs will eventually nerf Sadako to unplayable status. At first these complex killers will be thought terrible, their full potential will be discovered, then devs will nerf them due to toxic entitled survivors. Always the same thing.
OT: I do agree with the topic. This was one of the worst times in DBD history. Much of it has to do with the way devs treat the game.
ps. I mean, sometimes the devs hit some gold nuggets. This sort of things shows they still have cool ideas.
there's literally nothing to nerf about sadako she's accepted by both sides as one of the worst killers in the game if not the worst (yes i think trapper and clown outshine her or at least are more fun to play than her) plus there's more complexity to clown or freddy than sadako she's too basic. you can rest knowing she's not gonna get any worse than how she is right now.

i agree, super fun to play as. I'm trying to be objective with balance when reviewing him tho, and I can't deny how difficult it was for me to lose a single match, even in the matches where i was getting so wrecked that i was about to give up.. but then late game, it turned around from them finishing 3 gens before I even got my first hook, to me killing everyone because they couldn't do gens. My perks weren't even good either, I just leveled Dredge to around ~20 and used some random mediocre perks.
Regarding how to play against him? like, there really wasn't anything they could do, it was completely my choice to focus on regressing the generators. Survivors can't really force me to chase them, it was just a matter of patience on my end, which isn't something that can be affected by survivors in any way.
there was one match when there were 3 survivors left with 1 generators left to do. 2 of those generators had all 4 pistons moving and I thought "oh man, this is it". But nope, i managed to regress them all back to 0 progress and kill all 3 survivors.
so you're saying he needs a nerf because survivors in your games 3 gen and screw themselves over?
-
wait for him to teleport to a nearby locker then it'll take a bit to recharge if he's not in nightfall giving you enough time. also try the 20% strat if you manage to open a gate to 20% just before the first light is on and then wait for the killer to check it you can escape most of the time.

Its literally your job as a survivor to cleanse totems... as well as the other 3 survivors but everyone just wants to rush gens then sook when they get merc'd by NOED... Maybe if survivors actually bothered with Totems that aren't Hex totems they wouldn't have to sook...
literally totems were never a survivor objective they're just there for extra bloodpoints, there's 0 reason to do them other than that. i will not be giving the killer extra time to stomp my team just for the potential of them having an end game perk. if the killer is clearly struggling and giving survivors enough time to do totems then it's their fault for not expecting noed but that's not always the case with the perk it needs a rework for it to actually require effort to activate. I'd even be happy if it remained the same but at least gave the exposed notification at the end so the team can have enough time to play around it.

Are we just gonna pretend the og birb killer doesn't exist? I know bhvr has already forgotten about her, but she's cool, she's strong, she can control and detect from afar. and downright unfair on most loops lol. Dredge is still very good, but it could really do without the bumass auto lock/aim teleport. its giving me ptsd to when nurse used to have it.
bhvr not making any changes to artist is a blessing, i wouldn't wanna see another top tier killer getting nerfed to dirt.
-
or like I thought I knew he was exactly in one spot and then he wasn't there at all, like I just blinked and he was somewhere else
dredge can leave a husk behind called the remnant while charging his power it looks like his shadow form so he can be in one point of the loop and then boom he teleports to where that remnant is that's probably what you're confused about.
-
ormond is a gorgeous looking map while not being a chore to play on (the exact opposite of rpd) i don't mind it at all

@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
On PTB it was only good for teleport and maybe no TR on some indoor map. That's it. You could even say it was easier for Survivors to see everyone else because you could see bright Survivors and the Killer.
What I would wish for is if the Survivors couldn't see pass 16 meters or something (Like a big dark cloud that is around 16m on everyone). That would be spooky (since Killer would have much easier time to walk to a survivor) and also it would make visibility very limited.
you're way too late to the party. it was already confirmed bugged ages ago
-
i doubt the devs even know about this
-
trickster cuz i love him
-
it's very funny tbh I'd never get mad at a teammate kobing in my face it's such a rare thing to see that it's awesome when it happens especially if you're the one who kobed.
-
the nerf was justified and at the same time didn't make him worse to play just made it less miserable to go against him. all he really needed was windstorm and it made his chase a lot better he can use his uncloak to catch up to survivors and bodyblock their path and he still has a decent lunge after uncloaking plus his amazing addons wraith is in a good spot but he's still an m1 killers and until dead hard gets nerfed he'll still suffer.
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
A 4.4 M1 Killer is high B tier?
that's a you problem if you can't aim. his power is almost always usable and it is one of the strongest chase powers, no m1s needed unless maybe if you're on controller.
-
because killers probably have a decent kill rate on that map due to a lot of survivors being ######### and then the devs look at these kill rates and think the map is ok as it is.
the same thing happened with old haddonfield when a certain dev was asked if the map will get reworked and they said killers do well on it but if we see it needs a rework it'll be looked at (these might not be the exact words because it was a long time ago and i don't remember it well)
-
why try to go for an adept when you're not good with killer yet.
-
don't expect people to change their playstyle because of an event just play normally with good perks. I'll rather be done with an uneventful match quickly than farm in one forever.
-
if all of this was caught on tape and screenshots it'd make a hell of a report.
