  • It's alright, looks cool. Just wish there were a way to show it off other than streaming.

  • Eyrie of Crows. ######### Eyrie of Crows.

  • A lot of these I'd prefer to have as full chapters. The Conjuring could have the Crooked Man or Valak, Dead Space could have the Hunter from 1 or the Ubermorph from 2, The Walking Dead could have Beta, and The Last of Us could have the Rat King from Part II.

  • I'd prefer Beta as a killer form The Walking Dead, seeing as his existence as a Whisperer gives him a pretty unique power and makes him more visually distinct and representative of the gorey semi-realistic look of The Walking Dead.

  • Ghost Face lines wouldn't really work, seeing as this Ghost Face, Danny Johnson, isn't defined by his often speaking like Billy or Stu. Some minor lines form Toben Bell as Jigsaw to play over Pig matches would be lit as hell, but Freddy lines? Hell yeah, though, I want to note: I want Jackie's voice as base.

Many fans, I, and even Robert Englund himself honestly believe Jackie did an amazing job as Freddy despite the terrible script and bad effects. Having his lines from the reboot would help that movie more cement itself as a permanent part of the game, as well as giving Jackie another chance to shine as Freddy. I'd personally prefer his base and bloody prestige outfits (alongside a hypothetical human-looking outfit) have Jackie's voice, then a set of Legendaries: one for Robert's Freddy and one for Demon Freddy from New Nightmare, each have unique lines done by Englund.

All of them, but if I had to choose, Pig and Freddy

Also give Ash some menu music while you're at it

And some Legendary skins. C'mon, guys, we'd happily pay for it.

  • Personal opinion: I want all of them, but not having Hello Zepp in this game in any way is a sin against horror history.

  • I'd most prefer the classic Universal monsters, but only if they get to be Legendaries for their own inspirations. I'd love to get book-accurate Frankenstein and Dracula chapters with the Universal monsters as Legendaries for them.

  • Hopper and Robin fit best as their own survivors due to one thing: cosmetic options. Hopper and Robin each have a variety of alternate costume options that would be sorely missed if either were a Legendary. Eddie, on the other hand, has two options: his basic outfit and his LARPing outfit from the end of the season. To give up all of one of the others' outfit options just for a second outfit that's barely different from the first would be a waste. Here's how I see it:

Hop comes with his basic cop outfit with an alternate head that has his hat, and Robin comes in her main outfit from season 4. In the store, Hop has his overcoat, coat and flannel, Hawaiian shirt, Hawaiian shirt with suit, Russian uniform, and prisoner outfit, and Robin has her Scoops uniform, her video store outfit, her marching uniform, her "My boobs hurt!" outfit, and her combat outfit with the red beret. Steve gets a Legendary skin of Eddie in his Jean jacket and Hellfire Club shirt with his guitar as a "backpack".

  • I'd prefer a The Walking Dead killer be Beta. While Negan is more iconic, Beta more represents what makes TWD iconic. The grotesque gore, insane survivors, and strange abilities gained by exploiting the walkers, even if that exploitation means forsaking humanity and morality, are all given by Beta.

  • Ah, a semi-orginal remix of a licensed character, like the upcoming AoT skins. With Molten Freddy and other Funtime/Scrap animatronic parts to make it fit the Dredge's design more? You, my friend, are a genius. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

  • It's not only that there's a lot, it's that virtually every one of them is a safe pallet. I want a few removed and the rest of them just moved to less safe spots.

  • Either the NetEase version's mori, or my idea: He grabs them by the back of the head, throwing the face-first into a bear trap, which snaps shut on their head. They wriggle for a bit until he slashes the back of their neck to put them out of their misery.

  • So long as it has voice lines by Robert Englund and we get a Nancy Thompson Legendary for Quentin, I'm happy.

  • @ImAJoke264 said:

Yes, but no. Yes because it sounds and looks cool, but no because it wouldn’t make sense. I don’t think he was ever a pig, although I’m not good on Saw lore so take that as you will. And he was a sick old man, but I guess the entity could fix that problem.

He was a reluctant apprentice to Jigsaw at first (meaning he was a Pig), but he eventually used the traps to kill people just because he wanted to. His complete butchering of John's philosophy would match well with Amanda's misunderstanding of it.

  • Sure. More Saw content makes me happy, especially if we got some Legendaries for Tapp too.

circle of healing got too many nerfs that survivors barely bother equipping it anymore and they went back to self care/medkits instead. plus the buffs to sloppy, hemorrhage and the abundance of legions make it even less appealing and now you have a perk to counter it if it's too common in your matches.

coh is no longer as powerful as dead hard

still an issue? yeah maybe but it's far from it's former glory.

That is true. I, despite the nerfs, still hate it. If there was no self-care and they revert the last nerf, upping the healing speed a tad, I think it would be perfect. The only reason it's as powerful as it is is because of that self-care due to the gen economy. If you're in chase with someone and someone else is healing at the boon, that's two people still working on gens while you chase this other person. Without it, there would only be one person on gens, as there would need to be one healer healing the injured person. Those two little changes would make the perk so much better to fend against.

  • All of them. Every single one of the characters on that list, including both Nancy Thompson and Nancy Holbrook, deserve spots in the Fog.

  • I think my profile picture says enough.

  • The Executioner menu theme is badass, but there are honorable mentions for Demogorgon, Twins, Nemesis, Legion, Deathslinger, and Blight. Hopefully, we'll get menu/terror radius/chase music for Freddy and Pig, too...

    Too late now.

Yep, what they said. Ain't s* we can do now.

  • Other: None. I'd be okay of they took influence from one, but an actual licensed Marvel character in the game? No.

  • I wouldn't complain...but I sure wish it were something else.

  • Hit validation alone can add twenty to thirty seconds or more to chase against characters like Twins, Cenobite, and Demogorgon, and they don't even have to earn it like we have to earn our good perks like Hex: Devour Hope. F* Dead Hard.

  • I can see the Slender Man brought in as a new killer, maybe even as a licensed character for a Slender: The Arrival Chapter with Lauren, Oakside Park, and a Kate/Chaser Legendary skin for Legion and a Charlie Matheson Legendary skin for the Hag. This could then be complemented by a Creepypasta Classics Collection, with Jeff the Killer and Clockwork as Legendaries for Legion, Eyeless Jack as a Legendary for Ghost Face, Ticci-Toby as a Legendary for Huntress, and Laughing Jack as a Legendary for the Dredge.

  • Hella good, hella fun, can still be bullied by good survivors. A tier.

  • I really don't like Wesker. I'm a huge RE fan, I ######### hate Wesker. He's so post-2000's it hurts. I even like cliché characters, but there's only so much cliché you can fit before its corny, "so bad it's good"-iness becomes just bad. I, personally, would prefer Jack Baker, Willaim Birkin, or Karl Heisenberg (in that order) as killers.

  • If we got Squid Game Legendary skins or a Squid Game paragraph, I wouldn't complain...but I sure wish it were something else.

  • Dead Hard is a pain in the d*, but at least it can be baited and outplayed. Boon: Circle of Healing can't be countered unless you waste a perk slot for Shattered Hope, but even then, the time it takes to go over there can cost you a 3-gen if it's far enough away. If you want a full explanation, go check out Pixel Bush's video on it.

  • Ada Wong with a Rebecca Chambers Legendary skin.

Like others have said, I think all cosmetics are canon, just not from the same universe. Take Oni, since I know him the best. She has the skin that turns him into a genuine Oni, with horns from his body and not his mask. But even after he was taken into the fog, he never looked like that, rather still human-esque. I see this skin as Oni, but from a universe different than where he was taken.

With the titan skins, I see this as the same. The observer (who is now gone? Haven’t played in a while, where is he?). What I don’t know is why the entity has these killers become these characters. Why is Trapper Krampus? Why is Spirit Nyx?

It was loosely explained that Legendaries, most Ultra Rares, and two Very Rare skins are meant to be canonical additions to the Fog, that whether you believe all skins are canon or not, Cheryl, Lisa, Alessa, Cybil, and James are all canonically separate characters. Cheryl isn't becoming them, they're just there with her. Same goes for killers like the Huntress, the Mordeo, and Baba Yaga. It's meant to be a way of canonically adding new characters to the Fog without any arguments or new perks and/or powers. Spirit Nyx isn't included due to being Very Rare, not Ultra Rare, if that makes any sense. I'm hoping these titan skins are going to be like the minotaur, Krampus, Charon, and Baba Yaga, in that Kazan, the minotaur, and Reiner will all be coexisting in the Fog in canon. Does that make a bit more sense?

I couldn't fit more than 10. And trust me, I do too. With voice lines.

    Me too.

A lot could need a second chapter. ST, SH, Scream, HR.

You could exclude RE - as it is getting one.

I mean that as in if they triple- or quadruple-dipped into RE for Birkin, Jack Baker, or Heisenberg or something. I don't doubt that Behavior's thought about the idea purely for the sake of money.

I feel like Tank is just too big, how would he fit through normal doorways like Léry's?

Well, that's what people said to Nemesis, and yet, here we are. A witch would be sick, though.

  • @Taiga said:

They probably didn’t make them legendary skins because it would have been too much work to get different voice actors and create different faces for each skin. It wouldn’t be hard to make them look more realistic to fit into dbd tho.

    https://youtu.be/gZ-6bh-URhA

Exactly. Either laziness or AoT's rights holders being antsy, and either way, it sucks. By the way, neat clip.

  • Guess so. Still, thanks for a nice discusssion.

  • Ah, never saw that. That's a fair stance, but I think the skins being canon makes things more interesting, mainly for matchups. James is stuck fighting Pyramid Head again alongside other veterans of Silent Hill who must now face the monster he created. Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan all facing down other extradimensional horrors and unknowable entities alongside the Demogorgon they thought they had rid themselves of, and Jill, Leon, Chris, and Claire fighting side by side to fight off an enemy they can't blow away this time. Then, for killer skins, it's just more variety in lore, and I love it. I, myself, am a writer, I do my best to remember tonal consistency and devaluement of backstory are what kills the fun of a character or project. In this case, it doesn't affect me as much, seeing as they all still want to escape and get home, but now they have someone to relate to, someone who knows their struggles and can push them to get home for both of their sakes. Again, it's a fair stance to take, but I like my variety. 'Tis the spice of life, after all.

Sorry! I didn't express myself correctly, what I meant was that I'd rather If they keep them non canonical.

I think in this case it can be debatable since the devs never mentioned if legendaries or skins altogether are all in the fog it was pretty much left for interpretation. I just consider them a gameplay feature like the multiple cosmetics in trial thing.

Sorry, my first comment was kinda unrelated to the question.

Any particular reason as to why you want to keep them non-canon? Is it just, "Attack on Titan doesn't fit," or something else?

As for their questionable canonicity, Legendaries were introduced by the devs as, "more than just [outfits]. They actually completely change the character you're controlling." Reading between the lines of that, the devs are saying that this is their way of canonically adding new characters to the Fog without having to design new perks and powers for them. As for Ultra Rares, only four of those are actual characters, being the four I mentioned, and considering two of those were Legendary before Ultra Rares were a thing, I think the same rules apply. Then, by reading some of the descriptions, you can discern that a lot of these are even given descriptions of being in the Fog or how they got there. Cybil's head description talks about her, not Cheryl, being there, in the Fog, and the minotaur's states that it specifically formed in the Fog out of repressed memories and fear from the survivors from hearing the legend of the minotaur back on their Terras. All of this put together, I think it's about as confirmed as it gets that the skins I mentioned above are all canonical additions to the Fog. Besides, under technicality, every skin is canonical due to the Entity being able to snag multiple versions of every character. This explains how four Dwights can co-exist, how the Spirit can just be a ghost, then have a sea-motif out of nowhere, with gills and a split mouth. I like this system, as it reduces perk bloat while still allowing new characters to be added. I don't know why you wouldn't consider them canon, as doing so only limits possibilities. Isn't letting Cheryl, Alessa, Cybil, and James all face down a Demogorgon more interesting than just Cheryl and three ambiguous survivors? Canonizing these skins makes the lore and matchups more interesting, makes their inclusion less confusing, and lets new characters arrive in the Fog without increasing perk bloat. It's a win-win for everyone.

And don't worry about it, we've all been there.

As for its questionable canonicity, Legendary skins were introduced by the devs as being, "...not just [outfits]. They actually completely change the character you're controlling." By reading in between the lines, as well as taking some characters' descriptions (Cybil's head description describes her being in the Fog, not being just Cheryl, and the minotaur's description even describes it: the minotaur is a canonical addition to the game, as it materialized in the Fog out of the fear and memories of the survivors after hearing the legend of the minotaur), you can infer that Legendaries exist as a way of canonically adding characters to the Fog without designing new perks and powers for them. Then, considering that the minotaur and Krampus skins were initially Legendary, but got changed to Ultra Rare, and the Charon and Baba Yaga skins follow their design philosophy, it all starts to make sense. All those skins I mentioned, through their descriptions and rarities, are canonical additions to the Fog.

And no worries, we've all been there.

  • @Dito175 said:

I'd rather keep them the way they are, I don't consider legendaries canon

    Okay, two things:

    1. I don't think I'm understanding your phrasing. Do you want them to not be Legendary so they are canonical, because you don't consider Legendaries canon? Are you saying they should stay non-canonical? I'm sorry, I'm just not catching it, here.

    2. Canon isn't determined by the person, it's determined by the creators. Things with debatable canonicity can be argued, see also the Marvel Netflix shows and the MCU, but this isn't one of those things. Lisa, Cybil, Alessa, James, Jonathan, Chris, Claire, the Look-See, the Mordeo, the Birch Witch, the Chatterer, the minotaur, Krampus, Charon, and Baba Yaga are all canonically co-existing in the Fog alongside Cheryl, Steve, Leon, Jill, Doctor, Huntress, Hag, the Hell Priest, Oni, Trapper, and Blight. I wish I could make the sequel trilogy of Star Wars and Solo: A Star Wars Story non-canon, but that's not for me to decide. You can't argue with canon. You can argue it makes no sense or ruins a character, but it's canon nonetheless.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

Well I'm gonna assume the entity nerfed there power to an extent. Maybe kept the same strength but made em smaller.

i think only the killer AOT skins would be "Canon"

Yeah, unfortunately, no Legendaries for survivors. I wish that were the case, but no dice. As for that, yeah. My best guess is that by the time Reiner gets beaten in season 3, episode 14 by the thunder spears, the Entity had been eyeing him, Bertholdt, Annie, Porco, Pieck, Lara, and Zeke via their possessing of the Power of the Titans. His defeat and subsequent recovery left him weak enough for the Entity to grab him and manipulate his powers, making him smaller and giving him a limited form of the War Hammer Titan's ability to form constructs out of hardened skin, hence the weapon. I'm unsure if it could manipulate the Power of the Titans while one of its shifters isn't weakened, but I think it's possible. My best guess is that it didn't want to go through the hassle of pissing off and messing with Reiner while he could still try to fight it, even if it could've.

  • It was confirmed that that headgear was put on there by the Entity.

  • The "curious hands" were Dwight, as seen in the trailer. As for how, exactly, the box got into the Fog, I've got two theories:

    A. The Entity observed the cenobites in action, took a liking to them, grabbed the box, and used Dwight as a means of contact, probably striking a deal with them or Leviathan like it did with Pyramid Head, Sadako, and presumably the Mind Flayer. "If you come over here and kill in my special Trials, you can cause pleasure and pain unimpeded by earthly matters and leave to do it elsewhere as you please."

    B. The cenobites or Leviathan discovered the Entity's endless cycle of pain in the Fog and materialized the Lament Configuration in the Fog. Dwight opened it, the Hell Priest came, and he made a deal with the Entity. "We would be willing to participate in your games so long as we may cause pain and pleasure unimpeded."

  • Cheryl more psychologically, but Ash has lost literally everyone, living a life as a messiah he didn't want to be, facing down evil itself and the end of the world every day for decades. I believe Ash gets this win.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2964129#Comment_2964129

Someone brought a Lament Configuration into the Entity's realm, and now they're here. They're not bound to the entity at all, I'm pretty sure, they just enter and exit the realm as they see fit.

Exactly. Purely a means to an end.

  • That sounds great, and to note: I would love this to become canon through Legendary skins. Maybe Nubbins and Chop-Top as Legion and Drayton as Clown.

  • I don't think so. Leviathan is their creator and god, having a massive amount of control over them and being the one they spread pain and pleasure for. I think it's more that the cenobites discovered the Fog and saw it as an opportunity to spread pain and pleasure without being impeded by earthly troubles. They're more using the Entity than it using them.

  • As a huge Scooby-Doo fan...I really don't want that. Forsakes what little of the grimdark, depressing tone is left too much for me.
