If you watch some videos, they'll hit the check but since the Killer is in the middle of an animation, it gets overwritten and the DS is used up, but did not activate. It's a cheap way to cheat the system in the Killer's favor, because they're not able to catch a survivor once they've been dropped.
-
I run into pallets all the time intentionally. 9 times out of 10 you get the hit with the current hit boxes. I also get downed five or more feet from windows too, so it's a real issue.

Bunny Feng Min.

"Ooh, a broken generator... Good thing I took that mechanical engineering class!"
-
They're back now =/

Hate Hag but Wraith was worst. As a brand new player I relied on the Terror Radius, and without that I didn't know what to do when he caught me.
-
Yeah, as stated if you look at a character's info there's a little box next to each perk; a check-mark indicates you've unlocked that perk as Teachable.
-
Yeah but people need to realize the P3 outfits don't mean you're very experienced with that character. You can spend bloodpoints earned by any means on any person, so you can P3 a killer you've never actually played. It does generally mean you know a bit about the game, though, so people will look for any excuse to make you look bad. People are like that, unfortunately.
-
Who is standing at a hatch for ten minutes? Are you joking? Standoff should never exist. Just take the hit or the hook or whatever and get it over with. No one has anything to prove over a hatch. It doesn't mean one of you is better than the other. Just end the game and let both players move on.
-
How about a fallen angel type killer, with frayed wings and black tears or something. I think that would be neat.
No, not like the Doctor Who statues.
-
The issue isn't getting hit right on the other side of a window, that was always there. Lately you can get hit from much farther away, at times you were certain you were safe. It's really unfair to vault a window and take off, only to get hit at polearm range. The killers have short weapons, not spears.
-
Not using a perk doesn't make you a bad player. Neither does healing others. Injured state leaves blood and you make more noise, plus get downed in one hit. Maybe against NOED don't bother yet, but...
-
Spine Chill R3 is great for new players and even old ones too, it lets you see them coming plus combined with Lightweight R3 and they'll think a ghost was working the gen (since you're not hiding behind a tree 10ft away).
-
Yeah, you can de-rank easily when a killer catches you first, tunnels you, and your teammates unhook you as soon as you get on (expecting the killer not to just down you again right away). What am I supposed to do in this situation? They're not even running Borrowed Time, and even if they did, they've already lost the pallets all around me.
-
They're not all going to be as strong as Billy/Nurse. They say this every time a new killer is out. They don't want a power creep, making killers more and more powerful and buffing old ones. There won't be any that strong, and with good reason.
-
People don't think it's a problem, but it really is.

Didn't I post here? I thought I did... anyway, yeah this happens to me in a lot of games. You don't want to let the team down. Fortunately, this game is a little different. Many killers use such nasty tactics that it's possible to get forced out of a game early, and we all knows this. We're used to it, and most of us assume that's what happened when someone gets downed really fast. Lately, it's been worse. Invisible barriers and sticky killers (you can't leave their side, for some reason) have gotten me killed a few times. You can't vault a window you should, you can't go around the killer, you get stunned or lag, it happens. I think people in DBD expect a little of this, so it's alright.
-
Oh, I see how that would work. I still think three minutes of play time or goofing around for totems might be better than just two, but it would help games from being pointlessly long while you scour the map looking for scratch marks.
-
SWF is a crutch and it's a shame people will only play that way. The game is much more intense when you're on your own, helping strangers to escape. With a group the game is so easy, and there's nothing scary about the killer since you're joking around with friends and don't need any perks that voice chat can remove.
-
I feel that way too, but cheap tactics from killer can get you out of a game really fast, and everyone understands that because we've all been there. I can get downed in 15sec because of an invisible wall or a block that doesn't let me leave killer's side and now my team is wondering how I got past rank 20.
-
Two minutes is not enough time, especially since Freddy's perk can lock you out for half of that. Also, sometimes people want to make hook rescues, while the killer is off chasing the rest out. It would have to be at least three, but I'm not sure how to make it fair enough and not upset players on both sides who might lose because the game ends before they're ready.
-
Spawn as Nurse
Hover around nearby gens, then Blink to distant gen
Survivor DCs upon hearing shriek -
There's a nasty rash of AFK players, even though they ready'd up only moments before. If I catch one, I often carry them around the match with me, attacking the other survivors.
-
Oh, well normal hits are 200, but I always like that sweet 500 points, plus the sound it makes when you pull them out. I adore trap sounds in this game, I miss the old slow animations which sounded better.
-
I had two Adept games for Wraith, both had DCs, but only the second game gave it to me. I think because it was after the hook, not after downing them.
-
I don't understand what you mean. The trap injures them anyway. If you strike them while they're trapped, or if you strike them once they're free, they go down either way.
Actually, I hate seeing killers attack the trapped victim. You get only 200pts for the strike, but 500pts for pulling them out of the trap with the action button.
-
If they're stealthing, fine. I used to be like that. Today I witnessed an Ace doing laps around the map edge and nothing else. He didn't touch a gen or a totem the entire time, just evading the timer-crows and waiting for the gates to open. Surely this is not the immersion everyone is referring to?
-
The silence is so you don't alert the killer.
-
The hatch is only a problem if you're going for an Adept achievement. Or using a yellow Mori.
-
Ohh yeah, I still prefer this style of game than the current fad arena-style elimination match.
-
What was that game where it was like 99 people enter and have to open the gates so everyone can go through, meanwhile the killer is taking them out one by one... and I think every section there's a new killer, or something. It isn't out yet as far as I'm aware, but there was a trailer for it, around the time Last Year was still in the works.
-
I'm at 40+% with Haddonfield, Springvale, and Game. Every day I start playing I get Game, about 80% of the time. I get Haddonfield several times in a row, no offerings. Springvale every day yet Yamaoka is rare, carnival is rare, and two from the same setting 2-3 times in a row.
-
All you see is a grin and the shining shape of a knife in the dark.
"It's a meeee..."
-
The carnival music? I love that!
-
It's my new favorite map, I love the aesthetic and the beauty of it. I'm also really fond of Spirit and love that they go together.
-
Would chests with Repair Parts still contain items? Or would they be scattered through the match somehow?
-
How about a Wooden Mask for Survivors. You would find them in matches, maybe not chests but like how Lanterns are (though maybe only 2 per match). No matter what cosmetics you're using, there's a wooden mask in front of your head, even an inch in front, and when you take a hit, you lose the mask instead, sorta like Crash Bandicoot.
-
How about one where the Survivor isn't allowed to work on gens, but gets some other benefit? Heals every minute, or can heal self/teammates really fast... I dunno, four people can tkae No Mither, but if four people can't repair gens, GG. I would like to come up with some other ideas, though!
Survivor must be hooked 5 times, but Killer gets triple BP for it... make them happy

-
Some people care more about new perks than new characters. And I wish they'd go in the other direction: make more game-changers like No Mither and Object of Obsession. Perks that change the way you operate and add a new layer onto the game (usually this includes making it more challenging, but that can be thrilling and fun occasionally).
-
No one likes those puzzles. I like those puzzles and I don't even like those puzzles. I can't imagine how the rest of you feel when you encounter one in a game.
I even have one of those old metallic versions with numbers.
-
Survivors don't do great with BP unless they're god-like. I can outscore a whole team as killer and that's without any sacrifices. I can pip, even. Hook everyone twice, chase a lot, and break all the gens/pallets you can. Meanwhile an entire team who all escaped just got <18k BP.
-
BT saving a teammate at the end of a match so they escape.
-
No one at R1 would get a game on either side. Most Survivors would be yellow, and most Killers would be green or red.
-
Your rank shouldn't be determined on whether or not you escape. As long as you're doing good, doing the things you're supposed to be doing, gens/teammates/etc, you should progress. Which is why everyone's high rank and killer has an easy time of it excluding SWF.

Isn't your avatar The Cannibal?...

I can already hear the distant cries from some killers: "But survivors can farm rare items from chests! That''s unfair!"It's like they don't realize there's a Swap button, and that they, too, could play Survivor.
-
I don't think you should fight toxic behavior with some of your own.
-
I had to help someone once and just stood there as the Hag, only to find the Survivors dancing around me when I returned. I don't think they were very upset =P
-
Why would someone be so upset about you having an emergency? Even if you're a Survivor, things happen and you have to hop off the game real fast. I hope people can understand that. It isn't like you DC'd for getting caught first in the match.
