I'm going to take a huge break from this game because it's not as fun as it used to be. A lot of the changes completely devalue the time and effort I've invested into the game. I'm just going to finish grinding bloodpoints and leveling up everybody (since Ghastly Gateaus are used every game) just in case I return at some other time. But just curious, why did you decide to leave?
No worries, it's ok for asking, and many have previously, I'm much more open to sharing it than I would've been a few months back. To put it simply, I've got Lung Cancer, I'm getting Chemotherapy, and because it was recognised late, I've got a small survival chance. Gonna stay positive, but I doubt it will change anything.

Thanks dude, I've got most of the people I care about here on the forums and in my apartment, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Thanks Mandy, although I highly doubt I'll find success in the situation I'm in, if I make it through this, I'll be right back. Right back on the forums instantly.

Hope I'm back, it won't be soon, definitely longer than a month if at all, but I'll fight on. Thanks for sticking with me, been a pleasure to have someone as nice as you talk to me.

I'm not a great Spirit, but I really like using Devour Hope, Ruin, Hanuted Grounds and either PGTW or STBFL.

Well when you say you're going to make some minor tweaks and end up changing something that is quite major, you're going to get a few eyebrows raised.
-
Dislike all of them for different reasons.
The Game is dark on the lower levels, has strong pallets but is very easy to 3 gen.
Hawkins is small, but some killers struggle using there power effectively. Has a mix of poor loops and great loops if strung together.
Lery's is too big and complicated with all of it's rooms. Looks amazing but just too complicated.
Midwhich, my least favourite, is just extremely bland. All loops are extremely average, killer struggles rotating around gens because there are only three ways up to the second floor, while survivors struggle stringing loops together as they have to go from room to room which are seldom connected.
-
Seems fairly accurate. I'd move Pig to low A tier, Demo and Legion to high B tier and if we're judging off with good builds, Wraith low B tier. If not, high C tier.

Myers==Hillbilly??
Myers only had some instadowns and a little bit of undetectable, and now you're telling me he was almost as balanced as a high mobility, almost instadown killer? Thinking about it this way, not even Billy was that balanced.
Myers is a basic M1 instadown, which is hard to avoid. Additionally, his quick vaults can allow for easy downs on loops like shack.
As for Billy, while yes his saw can also instadown whenever, and he has a wide map power, his instadown isn't useful on most loops, and in the open good survivors can avoid it with a bit of luck.

Can you close this please? Doubt I'll play much tomorrow and then I'm off on Friday, so I doubt I'll need this thread. Thanks.

That would indeed be sad, but GF doesn't much mobility plus he already has a long ass CD, so i think hes safe, right ? :(
Well most people would have considered Hillbilly to be the most balanced killer, with Myers. To me, at the moment anyone on the higher end could be reworked.

Remember me is an extremely weak perk. If anything it needs a buff.

Had a very early death and we couldn't recover. Killer didn't slug, although did wiggle out once. One of our Neas was very poor, so it was more of a 2 v 1 as she also died before a gen was completed.

Play with only object of obsession equipped and no items or offerings and see how long it takes for you to die lol
I love doing this with Dwight for some sick reason
Edit: for bonus lolz stare in the killers direction and spam t bag until they begin a chase with you
Didn't teabag because I know how it feels to receive it.
Killer should've had a 1k, but the whole team got over altruistic at the end which turned into a 2k, and almost a 3k if it wasn't for Ace having DS.
Bubba got his first down after all five gens were done, he got into one short chase with me that I escaped without taking a hit.
Not much else to say really...

Well people have their opinion. Told everyone to wait till they try it out,and now they have.
I probably won't ever get to try this new Billy so I probably won't put my word out there about if I like it or not based off videos that will come out.

PYWF + Nemesis is still a thing for him, but main thing is now that Bubba has charges, if you use addons that increase the number of charges, plus have 3 stacks of PWYF,
my friend.
Nemesis + PWYF was always a huge threat, but if you see a Bubba has Nemesis, you should be dropping pallets early or fake drop them.
-
They extended it till the 14th.
-
Simple. He's not a strong killer. His ranges attack can be easily dodged and comes down to if the survivor can react, unlike Deathslinger or Huntress. Additionally, his cages are usually useless, as good survivors will run away from where their team is, so he becomes a 115 killer with a weak range attack and a quick kill when they're on death hook.
-
Could be wrong, but on switch I think it's A, B start. Also, you have to have PH equipped.

Right, sorry, I should of clarified.
I play a few characters.
Pyramid Head, Ghost Face, and Meyers.
Okay.
The first tip, which is more a general tipnthan anything is how to fake in chases. This is when you use your red stains to indicate you're going one way when you're actually going the other. An example would be on a T&L loop (The two wall loop with vaults but no pallets). Look around one corner, show your red stain to the survivor, ad soon as you do that double back and usually they'll vault. This can be used at a variety of loops, but it's best on this loop, and works well on shack.
Next of all, another general tip, is hiding your red stain. I don't know the official name of the loop, but let's call it the double L loop (has a big L, a small L which is more half a circle and a pallet in between). This is walking backwards, and turning in the direction right as you reach the pallet to trick the survivor. This can allow you to land some nice hits, and it works on most loops.
My final general tip is when to and not to commit to a chase. If a survivor runs to a strong tile while healthy, or sometimes even injured, and you don't feel confident in catching them quickly, don't commit. Gens get done fast, so if you know one person isn't on a gen, then you can rotate around looking for other people. (Quick note as you play Myers and PH, Myers early game doesn't want to commit to a chase what so ever and just wants to stalk, while PH can nullify strong loops if played right).
Now that we've gone through general tips, let's get onto tips individually.
Pyramid Heads secondary attack Punishment of the Damned, has two ways you can use it. You can A use it while they're at a pallet or Window, or B use it right infront of where they are running. Both of these work great although good survivors will fake a vault when they see you place your sword into the ground showing you want to use your secondary attack. In the case that they do, you want to stop using your power and go for the swing, as you suffer no Cooldown as long as you don't use Punishment of the Damned.
The other tip I have for PH is when to and not to cage if there are alot of gens on your side, or you feel like people are near you, you should cage the survivor. If the gens aren't near you, you suspect no survivor is near you, you should hook the survivor. For this reason, I think Infectious Fright is a great perk on Pyramid Head, as it can help when deciding if you should hook or cage.
Going on to Ghostface, I'm not a great one, I'll admit that, but my first thing to note is to remember during Night Shroud you have no red stain. This means you don't have to perform jukes in which you hide your red stain, but you also can't do jukes in which you show it only to go another direction.
Ghostface has two playstyles. You can stalk them till they're 99, go up to them and 100 it, or because that doesn't always work, you should play hit and run, in which you simply use Night Shroud for the early hit. Both of these tactics work well, and you should switch depending on what survivors you're facing.
If you feel like whenever you're going to a gen that they're never there even though progress is on the gen, I'd reccomend walking sideways as the survivor may have Spinechill, allowing them to get the early run on you.
Finally Myers, early game never commit to chases unless a survivor is literally feeding you Stalk. Once you get to Tier II you can commit but don't always do so as sometimes it can be time consuming if it's a good survivor.
When stalking, you want to stop the meter just before you get to Tier III. This is so you can get up right behind a survivor and use stalk them, allowing for an easy down if they're out of position.
Remember you can vault much quicker with Tier III Myers, allowing you to get easy downs on certain loops.
Finally, survivors are prone to making a ton of mistakes when Myers goes into Tier III, meaning that sometimes you can get a quick down if you are on a weak loop.

They basically can't comprehend people not liking their totally awesome and amazing button mashing idea that totally is really cool and no one dislikes and made them really cool!
And yet they put two questions in the recent survey about changing how the struggle mechanic works?

This is the build I run I find it quite fun personally.
Streetwise, Prove thyself, borrowed time and better together
Forgot to screenshot the results, but got 4k'd by a Hag with 3 gens left.
She was extremely good, although my team mates ranks of 16, 13 and 5 didn't help.
Prove Thyself and Better Together came into use early game, Borrowed Time and Streetwise didn't come into use.

My "Use what you find" build.
Plunderer's, Streetwise, Ace in the Hole, Exhaustion Perk of your choice or Pharmacy to really go all in on the meme. Also maybe a chest offering.
Find a toolbox? Do gens. Find a Medkit? Heal your team. Flashlight? Try to save your teammates. Then once you run out of use of the item... find another box and do it again. Admittedly I've not managed to pull together all of these perks to actually do it but I really want to.
Sorry for the late response, was on to my parents.
It was a rough game. Started out great. Got a med kit through Pharmacy, got a unhook and used it to heal him. Second chest I got a broken key with an amber add on. Decided that meant I should get into a chase. I ran the killer around for just about 3 minutes (I like to time my chases) and a single gen got done.
Got suspicious, so after the killer gave up on me, I worked on a gen with two survivors. They missed a ton of skill checks, so I decided time to get the last chest (someone opened the other chest).
Got a rainbow map, which helped me find hatch, but sadly didn't have a key to open it. Eventually, we die with one gen left as there are simply no pallets left. I tried saving two strong ones, but unfortunately they were used up when I went to use them.
I would definitely recommend this build.

Sprint burst Fixated Vigil + a perk you would like to add.
Picture wouldn't appear on Xbox DVR but ranks tell the story here (all of them were purple)
We were facing a Plague. (R2)
They. All. Cleansed.
Even before they got injured from being sick, they'd still cleanse themselves. Perks seemed to help early chase but overall unreliable as Plague always had Corrupt Purge.

I like using head on, quick and quiet, iron will, and resilience (the last perk can be switched for anything)
also have fun with autodidact, blood pact, solidarity, and empathy
Not much to say in this match up, except all perks came into use at some point. Swapped out resilience for Inner Strength, and as I wasn't on gens often, it proved to be a worthy trade.
Killer played decent, but would have had a 3k if Jake didn't get over altruistic at the end.
-
@StardustSpeedway said:
I love using Poised, Lithe, Dance with Me, and whatever last perk you want (could be quick & quiet or iron will) to escape the killer several times during chases..
I've also had a ton of fun with this healing build: Empathy, Autodidact, Leader, and Solidarity. I'll go heal the injured and get stacks of Autodidact, solidarity heals me halfway, and leader makes them heal me ASAP once I'm done healing someone!
First perk build went decent. Ran Ghostface around for two gens, however got downed the second time after being stalked while healing a tm, and had no pallets the third time round while in an area with no vaults to my disposal without playing extremely risky.
Overall fun build despite this, tricked the killer twice into checking locker.
Second build I forgot to take a screenshot of, but it was a Bubba whi got 0k. He hooked me once, two guys twice and that was it. Solidarity helped alot as the Bubba M1'd often, leading to Autodidact getting 5 stacks.

@f1uffykins said:
This sounds like a future meta but deleverence, ds, unbreakable, and soul gaurd
None of the perks helped sadly. Ruin was destroyed early, and whenever I was downed he didn't have anyone in his TR.
Additionally, he didn't tunnel and I was downed first so DS and deliverance didn't come in handy.
He was a good Oni despite this.

Try running Blood Pact with Leader and Iron Will. Last perk is the exhaustion of your choice.
This is the most comfortable build in the game without self-healing of any kind. I love it at Rank 1
Fairly good game. Huntress knew when to commit and when not to commit to a chase, but simply didn't get the crucial downs. All players were hooked at least once (she got six hooks in total) and she could've had a kill if she didn't slug an Ash we had on the team.
Leader came in use a lot, as did Bloodpact, as the obsession preferred staying injured for lengthy times and then allowing me to heal them when we finish a gen and vice versa. Additionally, I managed to save the obsession at the end by body blocking The Huntress from her with the help of Bloodpact.
Iron Will didn't really come in use, despite it making it into my normal build, nor did Balanced Landing, despite the map being Father Cambells.
Definitely gonna try Bloodpact and Leader more often.

He's a good killer, definitely A tier, but no where near overpowered personally. Good survivors can dodge his demon dashes and demon strikes, and many great ones can do it consistently. The match up usually ends with the better player winning.

@Seanzu said:
Billy doesn't have a downsides beside just being bad at using him, making the game easier by nerfing loops & pallets made this change necessary, anyone who can't see that is just biased.
Gonna agree with this but for a different reason.
With map sizes being reduced, he's definitely a stronger killer. Being able to travel the map in a short amount of time as much as you want allows for insane pressure fairly often.
-
@Science_Guy said:
No one is "wondering" about the backlash. Killers go into a uproar about any and every change no matter how obviously it needed to happen. Small wonder that you threw in a comparison to the old Ruin nerf as if that also wasn't a no-brainer.
Same with when med kits of all things were changed, aswell as when hatch could be closed by killers. Man was the uproar back then hilarious thinking back at it.
