Iron Will is one of the strongest and most awesome perks in the game if it wasn't for the Second Chance meta being so ingrained to the survivor population Iron will would be run constantly
Survivors don't seem to realize how important audio is for the killer, the jukes, mindgames, and just ridiculous plays you can do with Iron Will is crazy

"Bluefangs" bait list
Your just mad I put Legion at the bottom!
This is not bait, I am fully serious. I'm basing my tier list off of how much fun I have playing these killers, their playstyles and variety, design, how fun they are for survivors to play against, perk and add-on builds, etc and also how effective they are when used properly for most of them
However I would like to note Spirit, billy, and nurse are not weighed on their "effectiveness" only their fun factor
The only one I'm unsure about is Freddy, I played his rework a lot in the first two weeks but after that I just sort of stopped. I spent months prior learning his old design and mechanics, he was the first killer I used that got to me Rank 1 and the achievement. I think I'm still just sort of bitter all of that time and practice went down the drain, and while he may be fun I still miss the Old Freddy. Even if this one is more I guess "fitting" to Freddy than the old design

Trapper: Infectious Fright, Corrupt Intervention, Save the best for last, BBQ. This build is amazing because of it's incredible synergy. As a trapper you need to keep your momentum going along with having enough time to prepare for traps
Infectious synergies super well with STBFL due to the fact you can keep the slugathon going and going and keep putting down pressure, I'll talk more about my builds if anyone wants to know

Steve and Nancy are in Garbage tier

We did explicitly mention that the changes would primarily be to her add-ons. She will also be receiving some slight changes to her base kit. This was just a sneak peek at what's to come.
Will the Nurse's Crotus maps be getting a rework in the midchapter patch?

Because the only thing that BHVR doesn't own on Ghostface is the mask, everything else BHVR designed themselves. The character and his design is all from BHVR, except for the mask owned by Funworld, so as long as they keep the mask the same, couldn't Ghostface get a Hallowed Blight skin?
I'm not entirely sure it works like that, I'm sure that everything attached to the Ghostface mask is now tied to the Ghostface license
-
An interesting condrundrum with the Clown, he's nowhere near as hard to learn as Ghostface was. I'm having way more fun than I was when I was learning Ghostface and overall I'm enjoying the clown
Still I have to put in so much effort to keep the game from being rushed and unlike with other killers it can be insanely hard to bounce back from a bad beginning or mid match
Currently I'm running Enduring, Ruin, BBQ, and Monitor on him. I really want to get STBFL for him but its yet to appear in the web
The biggest issue I have with the clown is I can't afford to be nice, if somebody gets farmed I'm going to have to risk Decisive or rehook him. With a character like Ghostface I can let the farmed guy go but with Clown. I have to be rather rude to keep my pressure and that is something I don't like
Not one bit

It is a bug, not a buff. It will be fixed. Bug fixes are not balance changes.
But why? This would actually be a really nice change, and would be a cool reward for the Clown by granting additional points for hitting the survivors dead on
It should be left in

I will be really disappointed if they end up removing the Putrid flowers and turn them into Putrid generators. That would be so disappointing
I really hope they improved the mechanics and make the Flowers a really fun mechanic for everyone

I played 50 games at R1 solo last season and kept track of every stat.
I am a 5000 hour player since beta, and have primarily played survivor.
I have over 9400 escapes and 36000+ saves off the hook. I’ve played Survivor, a lot.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fmwuhlmag8s32myoqtKQvCxneF5WNWhRvE4bz6pWfRQ
I only escaped 22/50 games or 44%.
21/50 games were 4K’s or 41% of the time.
Killers in a better place than it ever has been. Players here are just bad, for the most part.
The beginning of that post sounds so much like the Navy Seal copypasta that I can't stop laughing

Yes bc having to drop the survivor you were carrying to put the one blocking the hook to sleep. So you can finaly hit him/her to free the hook was sooooo fun.
....What
Survivors that weren't asleep couldn't bodyblock you, blind you, or do anything to stop you from hooking the survivor
Yes they could immediately unhook the survivor but that meant you got two people asleep and a hook state done on one of them and you could than get the unhooked survivor later on with the aura detection
You didn't play old Freddy

Woah that action music is actually exciting. One of the things I've always kind of disliked about the chase music is isn't very thrilling
But that's really cool

Presenting The Mindbreaker!(™) have the survivors ability to run turned off just by thinking about it!
Break off their Dead Hard with ease! Just plug in the Algebra course on your generators, and your good to go

I got called the R word and a lot of other stuff when I decided to play my level 40 billy because I was bored once about a month ago

Best way to mess with survivors trying to expose you?
Spam Crouch repeatedly while stalking them, even if they are able to quickly adjust their screen, it will buy you just a little bit more time to maybe complete the exposed status
Heck sometimes it completely throws them off

What's your evidence on me not knowing that combination then?
-
Absolutely, while new content is good in that it brings people back in and its new and exciting
We have over 100 perks for each side and only like 10 of them are actively used. Old killers, perks, items and addons need buffs, reworks, and QOL. By doing this it will mean the new content that does come will be far more polished, interesting, and better balanced. The game has a tremendous amount of content but most of it goes unused operation health will be vital to the game, not more DLC that can only "band-aid" problems

Me and Grootdude have words to speak to you!

I can tell you love to slow the game down OP. This build is okay, but sorely lacks tracking ability. I would recommend you sacrifice 1 of your perks for either BBQ or Discordance so that you can efficiently use his teleport to snowball.
Yeah I would definitely take off Butcher for BBQ you want the survivors to at least attempt healing and Freddy has his action speed slow-down addons to make up for the lack of Butcher
-
Unless she has the addon to make one pool corrupt or the ultra rare it's best not to cleanse
Because if you do everyone else can now be one shot and than they have to cleanse and it becomes one long game of dodge the really scary red slime
It's why the apple addon is probably one of Plague's best because it allows her to force the survivor team to cleanse. Now at the EGC, yeah it's a pretty good idea to cleanse. Plague will generally not have enough time to take advantage of it and if you cleanse far away there's not much she can do

Does the animation cancel when the survivor is partway through the animation, and if so how late can it happen? Like can you hit a survivor halfway through a vault and they'll zip back to the first side?
I think it's even more inconsistent than the Doctor's shock. It only seems to work if they haven't started vaulting yet and the stun is very, very, quick so you have to be right on them to make it work
-
How do you know it's the end of bloodhunt?
Good grief the amount of SWFs and item stacked survivor teams I've gone against these past few hours
-
Yeah I will say against a SWF he is probably the weakest killer, mostly because he has nothing to really control the map
Trapper has his traps, wraith has his mobility, Ghostface has Nightshroud and insta-down, Bubba has chainsaw, Michael has tier 3, but Clown unless you use insta down perks or ultra rare
You have nearly nothing to really snowball or get some serious pressure or make the survivors scared
A bit annoying
-
Yeah it is pretty silly how a survivor can just touch a gen to stop it regressing, meanwhile the killer has to enter a 3 second kicking animation to do the same thing. Still it can be of benefit if you are running overcharge or weasel, it's always really awesome to get a 50% gen regression because some silly nea thought she was doing a good thing by tapping the generator with red sparks
-
No killer is useless just less powerful. I don't care about Tier lists hardly, I don't care about the Meta-teers, I care about what's fun to play and playing everyone but the Meta-Teers is fun for me
Heck my favorite killer honestly is the Wraith and Ghostface is starting to get up there too, despite how horrible my initial playtime with him was. Every killer occupies a certain niche, plays better on certain maps, and suffers from awful RNG, I'm already starting to learn Clown and he's pretty fun. Yes, he may be weaker than Doctor who in turn is weaker than Wraith or Ghostface, and his anti-looping abilities aren't as strong as Trapper but that makes the wins all the funner and hard earned and he is still strong in his own way
Besides what other killer can you use Grievous quotes with?
-
I have Clown at level 31 right now, thank you all a TON for the advice and lengthy posts, I really appreciate it
Right now I'm using Soda bottle, Either 5% with STBFL, BBQ, Ruin, and Weasel as my best addons and perks at the moment
I definitely see what you guys are talking about with Gen control, Clown can't afford to give up his pressure and momentum often
-
Bubba, Plague, Trapper, Hag, Freddy(Shack Gen), Demogorgon, Myers, Ghostface
In that order

Seriously you equip that and the OoO player is frigging doomed, you'll be able to see their aura and they won't. You'll have continuous wall hacks in every chase

If they goin a locker instead of letting me slug them, I actually tunnel them since they’re so dead set on dsing me, unless I’m Trapper, I’ll trap the locker.😂
It doesn't happen often but it's so hilarious when that happens
It's like "Okay tough guy, try and get out of that" Even in a SWF you can use him as bait to get another survivor
Since at this point you've completely taken a survivor out of the game

I get it man. Sorry you had to put up with that. I've gotten to a point where I don't take it personally, although it is still very hard at times. I know it feels like a personal attack but it's usually the other person being a poor sport because you didn't play by their arbitrary rules.
I wouldn't worry about what other people tell you is toxic, especially if it's a specifically included game mechanic like Moris. Being a bully is different and you shouldn't do that! But you don't have to justify any build you make and your actions. People complain about things being toxic because they have to work harder and/or figure out counterplay.
Moris are cool! Especially considering this is as much a horror movie simulation as a vs game. Would I be ok with them being reworked to require 2 hooks before kill? Yes, yes I would. But my point is play the way that's most fun to you and ignore the haters. When people talk trash to me I just say "gg" and leave it at that. As a bonus, it often drives them crazy! ;)
Ah its no problem, I've been treated a lot, LOT worse in other games, especially when I was learning how to play Billy and Hag. Honestly on the Billy one had I screenshot the chat and reported them that team would have been banned hard, that's my biggest regret of that match
Honestly I don't mind it too much at all. I play to have fun, play in a fair way that lets others have fun, and just overall relax. Toxic players come and go as do one's recollections, but memories of being toxic to others don't.
It may not come very rarely but it's nice when you get a lobby that appreciates my playstyle and philosophy
People are amazed when they go against a bubba that doesn't camp
-
@Lost_in_the_Fog said:
What if the daily challenges were changed to be based on perk builds instead of specific actions? That could be a fun way to encourage varying perk builds while giving bonus bp for successful execution.
True that would be cool, I just got a Mori daily today for the Demo. So I went in with a Green Mori and Rancor, I decided at the start to mori the obsession who had a rare instaheal. After that I didn't really play to win after that because I hate moris and I felt bad doing it
Come to end game I discover the team was a SWF with two insta heals and they yell at me at the end for being trash and "Moring the obsession like a moron"
Sometimes it's truly difficult to not become toxic when you aren't even treated like a human in 80% of the matches
-
Best: Bubba, Clown (HEHEEEEHAHAAAA), and Huntress (Hilariously French accented laughing intensifies)
Worst: Michael
He sounds like a Minecraft Villager

He's scary, Very, VERY, scary

@Spooky13 said:
Might put it on Demogorgon if this is the case.
Unlike Furtive Chase, If you kill the obsession you keep whatever tokens you had left at the time. So if you had 8 tokens and downed the obsession and sacrificed them with a non basic attack you will keep all your tokens
If you had to use basic attacks you'll keep the 4 tokens you had left after downing them, Note there is actually a brief buffer period, As the obsession is being sacrificed you can actually keep getting tokens until she is fully sacrificed.
But yes, STBFL tokens don't go away when you kill the obsession
-
It's an interesting contrast
The perk is amazing for Trap killers because it gives you so much time to prepare and set up a game plan. The amount of times I was able to set up good traps in the map because the 3 gens were blocked made Corrupt so worth it
But surprisingly it can be a bad perk for Stealth Killers, because as a stealth killer you generally want to find people quickly and gens are an obvious place. So for stealth you'll want to run Ruin more often than not
Either way Ruin is one of my favorite perks in the game and it has a ton of potential and use, People seriously underestimate how insanely strong having 3 gens blocked for 2 minutes can be
-
@Rex_Huin said:
I agree OP - not all perks are created equal.
I don't think this situation will change.
I think they should give each perk a point value bit like that old COD game and let you assign a set amount of points to your loadout.
So for example BBQ might be worth 5 points but instead you could take The Third Seal (2 points) and Overcharge (3 points).
Implication being that you could take more than 4 perks.
That could actually be really interesting! There are a lot of really cool and fun perks that are overlooked either because they are too situational or their effects aren't as strong as the "meta perks"
Though this could also create its own can of worms in what amount of points do you apply to perks?
