Oh really awesome when people cooperate
However I'm starting to run into lobbies where survivors are so paranoid no matter how patient I am, no matter how many displays of genuine farming I do
They still sprint burst away like the Road Runner. I'm patient but after several long games of that. I'm getting closer and closer to just pulling the connection if they don't cooperate after 5 bloody minutes and moving on to a lobby that will cooperate

That would actually be really awesome! As a killer you only ever use BP offerings or a mori if you want to depip and be a jerk
That would be pretty cool and could be a nice indirect buff for killers on a lot of tough maps such as Lodge or Haddonfield
-
I have a question, if the obsession DCs/dies and you get decisive striked to get a new obsession
Do all the tokens you had originally come back?
-
@Mochan said:
Oh no just one special gen? Survivors are gonna be fighting over that and the killer just needs to camp it and the survivors are gonna fall like flies.
Gonna be especially bad if it spawns in the house in Haddonfield or similar where only one survivor can repair it.
I can already hear the Ghostfaces cackling as they hide near the gen.
Your right, you know that? Oh you so are right
-
Incredibly annoying when you punish super altruistic hook rushing and getting multiple downs before remembering
"Oh right DS is a thing"
Elephant noises intensify
Nothing better than getting your kill denied because of one single bloody perk because if you waited just 5 seconds more you could have done it, especially annoying at EGC

Technically speaking, it's working as intended. Though Ghost Face will be receiving Undetectable later on which will prevent that.
892 votes and 77 comments so far on RedditI have no problem with object working against Freddy than
Woohoo Ghostface buffs in DA HOUSE!

I played an entire year without ruin. From October 2018 to August 2019, I only got Ruin when it appeared in the shrine
I like to only use it on killers that need time to set up such as Ghostface, even then I always put up Weasel as backup. It's just so annoying to have two gens pop within 60 seconds every game
-
The game has a "toxic playerbase" problem, not a toxic "killer or survivor" problem
-
Well I mean you can't really blame them at all, there's no playing or messing around against a mori killer
It's exactly why I don't use them. You get less points, you ruin the game for the mori'd survivors and all you do is force them to do the most boring thing imaginable to fight against which is "gen rush"
If you equip a mori you simply cannot complain about gen rush, even as some of the weakest killers such as Clown. That's all I can say there, don't expect ambitious chases and a lengthy game when a mori is specifically designed NOT to have that happen
-
I have a better idea. Mathieu should be a killer and his Mori should be him snapping his fingers and the last thing the survivor before they fade to dust is this

I use Da flashygit Shiny Legacy Ghostface skin and I'm at Purple/Red ranks!
Really it doesn't matter too much what skin you wear. The whole point of night shroud is to hide your terror radius when approaching and the red stain for tiles and loops. If a survivor is aware and constantly scanning they'll see you anyway especially with the map design on older levels
The amount of times a slightly darker cosmetic could help you as a killer is very, very, negligible
Anyway as for me I'm going to have say the Stranger Things DLC. I never use any of the perks, don't like Demo's gameplay, and I'm very tired of the Scoops Ahoy meme right now
So tired that if I see another Scoops Ahoy Steven, I swear I'm going to equip an Ebony Mori
-
People like to ignore the fact that many SWFs would pair up with a new account to go bully in yellow ranks
It wasn't some myth, it's a thing that happened and very, very, often. People continually try to use the friend argument to justify but here's the thing
When a mechanic is being exploited by a large amount of players, it doesn't matter the original intention. It's broken and needs fixing, or I guess the baby Trapper at rank 15 DESERVES the 3 object of obsessions Red Rankers on ColdWind

Nobody wants to play survivor, take a guess why. :)
Can't ever have a queue discussion without some silly little killer/survivor player coming in and saying "well duh, guess why it long cause broken blah blah"
Very annoying, also this only validates my Feng Meng player Hivemind theory
I'm not wrong

No, I don't miss him at all. Good riddance.
He was a freaking headache, because I like to play stealthy. Whenever I played old Freddy I was forced to run and gun and loop the entire game -- similar to how I have to do so when going up against Doc.
That's the last straw
Your going on my BING BONG list now! Your headphones shall crumble under the sound of the Bing Bong if I ever see you in my lobby

Woah, woah, woah, woah, WOAH
That rework would make Kindred absolutely broken, especially if your under rework current Kindred would be made base kit
The killer would literally not be able to place any pressure near downed or hooked survivors, He would have to literally run to the other side of the map and be incapable of contesting unsafe hook rescues. Likewise having survivors have all their auras revealed to each other would make Bond and Empathy pointless to run and be damaging the killer every single time he completed his objective
It would completely remove any element of risk or danger inherent when rescuing a survivor. If all 4 survivors have access to this much information what's even the point of playing a stealth killer?

Really wish I had a screenshot of Old Freddy 4king at rank 1. Well said though.
Months ago I played Old Freddy from rank 13 all the way to rank 1 never stopping to play any other killer and I stayed at red until reset
The survivors weren't bad, it's just old Freddy had a ton of map pressure and control, PLUS think about it
Same scenario with fighting games. Everyone knows how to play and fight against the top tier fighters, but a under-rated or low tier character? Experience beats in-experience

It is, otherwise you wouldnt need bbq, ruin, and bamboozle.
Didn't actually get much use of bamboozle on that map, lol. I don't even think it helped once they gave me shack pallet first run too
Yeah it's a difficult map not just because of the insane amount of pallets but because there are practically no tiles where you'll be able to get much use out of Night Shroud. I only managed to win that game because they made a hefty amount of mistakes, ruin stayed up all game, and because my stalk gave me a number of insta downs
Honestly if I didn't have all of those perks and items I wouldn't have won that round, but either way it was still really fun. They just need to improve some of the older maps because that's where Ghostface is weak
Also every killer needs to be viable the idea of saying "It's okay" is absolutely absurd
-
Playing Ghostface on Blood Lodge is hard
-
@FireHazard said:
He's actually pretty good now ever since they changed his power being knocked out when looking at him...
Its harder to actually do it now, but its still doable, so its not impossible to get him out of it before he gets the stalk off.
He's still not better than Myers though, I'll stand by that till the end of time!
Essentially they are side-grades of each other
Ghostface is more the sneaky ninja type that can use his power to gain a massive advantage at loops and get some key picks. Michael is more a brute force tank with tremendous snow-ball potential and complete control over his power
Both suffer on certain maps but I wouldn't say either is necessarily superior to the other

The only thing wrong with Freddy is how stupidly long his lunge is.
His lunge is the exact same range as ALL other lunges, the only difference is his animation makes it appear longer
It's same the illusionary effect one can have playing a killer like Ghostface or Legion and think their lunges are shorter because of their animations
-
Bubba is fine
Simply make Tuning guide and the beast marks default base kit and adjust add on stats
Bam he's now as strong if not stronger than most mid tier killers such as Pig, Wraith, and even Trapper
-
Oh yeah it took me days of similar matchmaking at red ranks a week and half ago before I understood how to play Ghostface
He's a very fun and strong killer in the right situation, the only problem is his long recovery timer
They seriously need to drop it to 20 seconds at base, heck I'll even take a longer stalking time. Heck I'll take a 10 second long out of cover stalking time for a 10 second long power recharge
That would be frigging nuts lol
I got really rambly there didn't I

on top of that, imagine a streamer witchhunting a killer / survivor that beat them and telling their community to block said person in their game.
that person would have huge lobby waiting times, just for beating streamer XY or using a build the streamer disagrees with and therefore are now blocked by, lets say 2.000 players.
im not saying that would be a likely case, though it could happen, which is something we shouldnt allow.
Especially with a community like this, you still get players reporting others for playing the bloody game
Now imagine what they would do with something that actually works, as sad as it is to say
This community could never wield anything like this responsibly not when it hosts so many toxic players on both sides

It isn't intentional. The game looked like that because of a bug. It didn't matter what I set the game settings to, eventually the game always devolved into looking like that. It'd look worse and worse and worse after every game.
A bug that seems to have been fixed with the Stranger Things patch, actually. Which I'm very happy for. Because despite looking like a Nintendo 64 game, it did nothing to help boost FPS at all.
How in the world has Behavior taken the Unreal Engine and broke it so badly over the years?
DBD has more bugs than a Source Engine game lol
-
Survivors would ban anyone playing the top 3 meta killers, ruin, "tunneling", "camping", etc
Killers would ban survivors using the meta loadouts, items, SWF, and so forth
Eventually people wouldn't even have lobbies anymore. Granted we sorta already have this with MLGA but not that many use it anymore for whatever reason
Make it official and lobby queues will be horrifying

He's a very difficult killer to learn you have not one but two mechanics to learn and personally I feel they really messed with shred by adding in multiple range values and making it impossible to cancel into lunge
On-Top of that he's got a lot of downsides his height, numerous audio and visual cues. He's quite tricky to learn
I'd have put in the effort to learn him, but I happened to be learning Ghostface a similarly tough and difficult killer to play. I had already put millions of BP into him by the time ST released. So once I learned how much work I would need to put in to learn Demo, I kind of just said forget it and went back to playing someone I already had a grip on
I'll play him later when I get bored of Ghostface, at the moment nothing about his gameplay or add-ons really grab me
-
They should nerf it's ability to create memory leaks and destroy the game lol

Gen rushing doesn't happen because killers are weak. Genrushing happens because players are bad.
Try playing a Clown at red ranks with no gen control perk
I think you'll change your mind
-
@RoKrueger When the SWFs learn of what has transpired here, they will nerf us, along with all the killers. Every single survivor is now an enemy to the game. Do what must be done Redd, do not hesitate show no mercy.

I think this image speaks for itself.
What is this?!
You've made the game look like mash potatoes and it's way more colorful
Is there a way to learn this power?
-
There are matches where it doesn't come into play, and others where it procs perfectly and you get so much free pressure for it. Sometimes enough to even force one previously survivor into stage 2
It works more often than not and it's really fun to use on Myers because you can chain the exposed status back to back
2 minutes of exposed status on all survivors can be insane
-
I think the only really good thing about Demo is that he's a point machine
Even if all four survivors escape you can finish with 32,000 leaderboard points
Better farmer than the Doctor

what are you guys's thoughts on inner strength and do you think it will be a replacement for self care?
i use self care, quick and quiet, head on and iron will and i'm considering replacing self care with inner strength but do you guys think it's as good as self care
Pharmacy>>Inner Strength>>>>Self-Care
Both inner strength and self care are very selfish and situational perks. They do nothing to help your team
Pharmacy guarantees a med-kit when you first open a chest, makes you search chests quicker and quieter I believe, said med-kit lets you heal yourself and others, and doesn't take as long as it does to self-care or use Inner Strength
Even when you use the first med-kit the faster searching from pharmacy will let you get more kits/items faster
Pharmacy without a doubt is the superior healing perk
-
The entire point of a mori is to bypass the 2 remaining hook states
If you remove it than absolutely no one would run them because mori-ing a survivor takes an insane amount of time on some killers and you get less points for it
Honestly I don't care about Moris and would be glad to get rid of them if keys and insta heals were also removed

im really curious if Bricky even knows what the community thinks of clown right now.
The Clown's fall is truly tragic, there was a time when people considered him strong and fun to play. A time where Reddit loved the Clown
Now all you can find is people rightfully dumping on his poor stats, honestly makes me want to buy him
So I can follow one dude around hte map and constantly throw bottles at him for absolute trolling lol

This parchment IS HERESY
Is the only true meme, get out of here Сталкер!
-
The problem is Ghostface's power recovery add-ons and to a lesser extent decreased detection range are just without a doubt his best
There's very little reason to ever run any others due to the way his power works. If they removed the detection buffer timer and buffed the full reveal to 2 seconds
Or just make default recovery 20 seconds, he'd be fine. As it is you often just don't want to use any other add-on
-
Fun perk to run on Ghostface, Wraith, and maybe Michael. If you combo it with survelliance you can get some pretty sweet information on multiple generators
However if your on a large map like the swamp or Rotten Fields
It won't do anything
-
Infectious Fright is awesome I run it on Myers and especially Trapper all the time
It lets you know where everyone is so you never have to worry about pallet or flashlight saves, it helps you snowball super well, and it's just a really fun perk to run
As a trapper you need to use every opportunity you can get to snowball even if you have to go all M1 and believe me when I say Infectious has saved games for me. It's so much information for just one perk slot it's crazy

Only by people who don't play at rank 1 regularly.
Why are you using Pallet add-ons at rank 1? It's universally agreed that Snares are his strongest option. Especially at rank 1 where survivors aren't going to be fooled more than once by a fake pallet if at all because they know the tiles and more often then not a SWF will make them totally useless
Snares don't suffer that
