  • I thought of a new idea, it might be a little too powerful but let me know what you all think.

So what I thought of is that the snares can be made to directly counter balanced landing, lithe, and sprint burst. If a survivor were to run into a snare while sprinting with either perk it will cut their sprint speed in half

Naturally Dead Hard would be unaffected due to it's nature as a dodge. I think this would be a fair change as snares are very obvious and it would be the survivor's mistake to run into them

  • I'm really loving the new aesthetic of the maps and quite a few of the new looping mechanics

Though I feel the map Badham 2 is waaaay too big for it's own good. It makes playing a Trap or stealth character quite difficult as there is just so much ground to cover and it takes so much time to traverse the map. I also found some issues with hook placement being a bit too far apart

Overall the maps are great fun for both Killer and Survivor. Some of the houses are literally a balanced landing survivor's perfect dream with so many escape routes

  • @Peanits said:

My main concern would be how difficult it would be to teleport. Depending on the map, there can be a lot of lockers between where you are and where you want to go. Between lockers and generators, I can see it being a struggle at times to teleport to the locker you want.

You'd also need auras on the lockers to be able to quickly weigh your options, and that would be an awful lot of auras on screen all at once.

To a lesser extent, lockers aren't heavily controlled like pallets and hooks. Depending on the map, there could be a bunch of lockers (Temple of Purgation) or almost none (Blood Lodge). You'd really have to cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Could a trigger button work? Freddy could press left alt instead of left ctrl to activate locker teleport, which would cancel out all generator auras and only display lockers so he can teleport to one

Unlike left ctrl he would have to left click once it was activated to select

  • What about a generator repair speed penalty if survivors don't engage in enough chases to discourage ending games in 2 minutes?

    I'm kidding, I'm kidding 😁maybe, yeah jk

Anyway yeah camping and tunneling SUCKS especially if your team never even tries to help you. I've been the target of it and seen others get tunneled and camped quite a bit. Additional hook time sounds pretty good. Even if the survivors can't rescue the camped survivor with the additional time the killer has to stay by the camped hook that means the rest of the team can book it before they are next to get camped. It would raise problems at endgame for the Killer though

  • Found another fun build

Hex Haunted Grounds, Make Your Choice, BBQ, Infectious Fright

One word. When it works it is

    AWESOME!

  • Giving Clown the ability to manually cough in a nutshell

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5yw4y3OZoA

    I NEED IT

  • A build I like is BBQ, Infectious Fright, Brutal Strength/Save the Best for last, Pop Goes The Weasel

Freddy needs to get survivors in the Dream world so he can teleport more often and use his powers. BBQ and Infectious will give him close range and long range aura tracking. This will ensure he can keep track of survivors, lead to snowballs, and keep people occupied trying to get awake

Weasel is also buffed because you'll know what gens are being done due to BBQ so you can teleport right over and hit the generator. Brutal and Save are great perks to run on any M1 killer. However they are especially good for Dream Pallet Freddy, so you can choose between getting rid of real pallets faster or use STBFL to punish survivors dropping fake pallets even harder

Of course Thrilling Tremors is also quite good so you can replace either brutal/save/Fright with it if you want

  • Jake, Bill or Ash

They are the ones I like the most

  • Bloody heck, NOOOOOOOO to the prestige idea

Now I would really like the idea of increased perk slots tieing them to prestige would make the game into an even more unbearable grind simulator

This would also make the game very unfriendly to new players as they'll be having to go against people with 7 perk slots to their 4. Which they won't be able to acquire for hundreds of hours. It would be lame especially for players who have never prestiged because they don't wnat to deal with the grind again

Just no. Even if the prestiges only wiped out the add ons you had it would be terrible

  • Played with the new Freddy and as a Freddy main, I'm very satisfied.

Dream snares are pretty great when it comes to the end game as you can put them right over the gate panel and survivors will have to trigger them to access it, letting you know where they are

Now in a coordinated SWF with 2-3 people left, if they know you've trapped both gates they can send one dude to act as a decoy for the main force but this is the case with all trap killers

  • I've thought about it myself but I think it's alright at the moment

Though it would be interesting if medium generators took only a little over half of your teleport bar compared to far away generators taking it all

  • @RoKrueger said:

I was trying him out and complaining that they have changed my good old Freddy, but then I busted into laughter when I got my first "fake pallet down" on a survivor after I teleported near them. Ok, Ok, I enjoy the new Freddy. Happy?!

Still: Just like with The Plague, good survivors don't care about waking up. Being sleep is not such a big deal, maybe they could change that.

When the survivors dead hard into your fake pallet

  • Lets look at what she gains from this change and can still use.

She can now down the obsession and keep all her save the best for last stacks I guess? That is what I heard.

And can still use Sloppy Butcher, Hex the Third Seal, Franklin's Demise, Remember Me.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AFf0ysgNiM

Hey that's not that bad the loss of a STBFL stack stings but if it doesn't reduce it and she can still apply all this maybe it was a decent trade off. What do you know I guess we did all overreact and BHVR always had the best intentions at heart for Pig and wishes to make the game better for both---

What does she lose with her dash attack now?

Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: No one Escapes Death, Hex: Haunted Ground, Make your Choice, Iron Maiden, Dark Devotion, Infectious Fright, Rancor.

Good bloody gravy what have they done?

  • Everyone is complaining about Freddy

But no one asks how Freddy is

  • I can almost guarantee Red Paintbrush is going to be nerfed in some way

Most likely the nerf will be that survivors no longer suffer from the Microsleep mechanic. So after the start of the game Freddy will have to put everyone to sleep himself in order to balance out failed skill checks no longer waking survivors up and everyone being asleep at the start

Black Box will probably get hit with something though I will say the Black Box thing just sucks for the obsession and I wouldn't mind a change at all

What a kid.. Quit cring you say haha. I got more than 1.5k hours in this game son. And i play equally both sides. If you enjoy easy matches then good for you.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sJY7BTIuPY

Any man who must say I am the pro player and fall back on "son" is no true pro player. Hours mean nothing if you can't engage in a debate. If your argument relies upon the crux of "I am the Pro Player I have played so many hours I know what's up and Freddy bad because I know game trust me he bad" and nothing else you have no argument. So please give us a post explaining your findings as objectively as you can

Because as it stands Freddy is simply another M1 killer with the condition of having to either injure the survivors in order to activate his powers, or wait 60 seconds up to nearly 2 minutes if they used a Dream Clock before hand for survivors to fall asleep. His teleport is worth one of billy's chainsaw runs and you can counter the dream pallets before hand by paying attention to your environment and using the resources there before running off and risking going to a pallet that was always fake or applied over a destroyed one. He can't fake windows so window maps like Haddonfield will be very, very, strong against him

So please give us a concise, objective, and detailed argument using actual evidence because I actually quite like to read them

  • Yeah Dream Snares need some serious add on improvements. The Dream Snare blocks are almost as bad as Pig's medium to high add ons are

Though I will admit the blindness block is more reliable then a certain Hex perk

    😂

Then wait until devs shows the data of freddy kills post rework. You will see that is very easy to get 4k with the current freddy. Im not here for trolling or anything stupid like many out there. Im just telling what looks like to me that needs to be changes based on matches i played with and againts him that all.

Dude, Freddy's nothing more then another M-1 Killer that can teleport to a generator every minute or so

He actually has much less going for him then Ghostface, right now. The only thing that's making him really deadly at the moment is bad survivor players that are dropping pallets left and right and crippling their team

To activate dream pallets he has to use up an add on so he only has one free add on slot come to think of it

Give it time, let people adapt and let him go against high rank survivors before you go and be like "Blah, he broken" he's literally been out for a day. If giving a killer the ability to remove his Red stain and TR at will didn't break the game or make him op, then a teleport feature won't make Freddy op either

    Chill thyself

  • @Rydog said:

@BlueFang Yeah man, you nailed it. Just those two things, and they can close the books on this truly perfect design. Case closed.

Looking forward to the immaculate, perfect community and equitable mechanics that these changes will bring about, the last two things DBD will ever need.

Mods, you can go ahead and close this thread and maybe the entire forum, this is a wrap.

Agreed, it is settled then we are all in agreement of my conceptual designs

Nothing left to do but play Rock The Casbah

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ9r8LMU9bQ

    😋

  • Snares are only good at short loops, detecting survivors, and that is only if the survivor is awake

it takes two consecutive Snares to match the slow down effect of a single Clown bottle and the slow down doesn't last nearly as long

Nerf Freddy's teleport and he becomes a slightly more mobile Clown or Illusion pallet Doctor

Aka. Worthless, it's the teleport and the pressure of it that knits everything together

  • Perhaps they removed it because they are planning a Robert Englund Freddy skin in the future

The original effect utilized 2008 remake imagery perhaps the legal agreement means there can be no counter splicing between the two incarnations

Or perhaps this is just me being desperate and looking for any signs of a Robert Englund skin

  • Really there are just two prominent issues in the game that need to be addressed

Generator Repair Speed: Generators can be repaired in less then 50 seconds, for a primary objective this is just ridiculous. The reason why players play killers with high mobility like Billy, Nurse, and Spirit is because they are the few that can truly keep up with such an absurd timelimit

Generator repair speed needs to be tweaked so it doesn't take an eternity, but allows the killers with low mobility such as Trapper and the rest to actually have a chance at high ranks

After that they need to implement a proper tutorial. Because seriously new players have next to no idea what to do and the lack of a tutorial and explanation to the gameplay mechanics are the reason why

Also yeah Nurse does need a nerf her power really is dumb even if does take a lot of time to learn and skill, same for Billy too.

  • Use Infectious Fright and BBQ with him

Infectious lets you know if anyone is nearby and BBQ will let you see survivors working on the gen

This is especially good because if you start the phase during BBQ's proc, you'll see where the survivors are running off to and you can then follow them with ease especially if they decide to hide by the generator

Overall Infectious with BBQ gives him a little bit of the old tracking power he used to have

My ideal perks would be BBQ, Infectious, Weasel, Enduring/Brutal Strength, Save The Best For Last

  • It would be a really nice change to have

  • Bloody heck

How much more are they going to nerf Pig? I love running STBFL on all my M-1 killers, this nerf is completely unnecessary and pretty darn big

Guess I'll switch it to infectious fright then

  • I used to be very generous to survivor players and I still am. When I first started I would often give the last survivor the hatch if I felt they did well, were new, had a username I liked and so forth. Once we got to end chat I found I made a mistake as the survivor would go ranting at me or their team and just generally being a brat. I still believe in making the game fun for everyone to play. After all even if you won if you had to try hard your butt off and be really nasty when all you wanted to do was have fun did you even win? But I've learned to be far more conservative when it comes to my generosity as even though I want the game to be fun for all players

Not very many share this mindstate. Especially Twitch players who I've found just trash-talk me during the entire game in their stream, even if they don't do so in end-chat. I used to let them go to show survivors watching that killer players aren't the "inhumans" they believe them to be. But I've found it to be a wasted effort most of the time

Worked out great when I ran into Zubat as old Freddy though, lol I'll never forget that one

  • Instead of the incredible lazy hemorrhage & blindness effects? For example a buff to the slowness or increase amount.

What are you telling me you do not run the meta perk that is Blood-Hound? lol
