I too would love it if the devs have added more options for those of us not blessed with a perfect monitor and a pair of perfect eyes, situated in perfect lighting conditions. But realistically, reshade is your only option for the foreseeable future.

Just make it so that it still gives the killer a speed boost, but they apply deep wounds instead of injuring and downing a survivor. And make it a non-hex perk maybe.
