Coh basically destroys every m1 killer,you can just heal in a corner with coh lol.
-
Poor Sadako gonna get bullied to oblivion since survivors can just disable her teleport power then she's basically a worse wraith.
-
That map is awful to play on,even if you know where everything is,that's just how bad the map is sadly.

The most recent large tourney has averaged at least 2k concurrent multiple weeks in a row. It certainly doesn't hurt for viewership when it's promoted in larger spaces. But I'm not sure what the screenshots have to do with viewership either way. That res doesn't really show on the spectator cam for killer, and broadcasts don't typically show survivor POV for extended stretches.
Yeah,in spectator mode you dont see this but i'd say it matters knowing this is how they play.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It does have a competitive scene though. Whether non-participants find it valid or not is kind of beside the point. Comp exists and the players don't care about resolutions or filters.
I'd say it matters if you want the tournament to also have viewers.
-
@Tsulan said:
Looks kinda stretched. I´m so glad that skill matters in those tournaments and not something like a stretched res...
Yeah,imagine playing like this and think you're the better player againts someone that plays normal 🤣 .

Nah they were all clicky click survivors I would spend 3 hours to mess with them. ....and it was a battle of attrition......and I won.
Oh,in that case it might be worth it.

It actually is epically if the Killer doesn't take the chase bait and continues to protect the Gens.....I forced a 3 Gen as Vommy Mommy....48 mins later the Survivors lined up at hooks to be Killed.....I felt bad for them because my Ruin never was cleasned......the only Totem Spawns in the Swamp that is hidden.
I mean is it really worth your time,seems like a waste of time to me to spend that much time for a 3gen.

Hangman Trick
-
Just had a match where all my 3 teammates got downed instead of doing a gen when I was on my last hook,only 1 gen remaining to do,safe to say I dont understand why some people play this game.

@Akumakaji said:
For real. My most successful runs as survivor (being a killer main myself) are those where I ignore the spawn gens and run to the opposite side of the map or start doing the gen in the central building. In most cases the killer doesn't expect/check the central gen to be done first and if I manage that one thats already half the win. Really, there seems to be so little strategy involved with doing gens, most survivors just run from one completed gen to the next one in spitting distance, without giving it any consideration and only stop if the killer interupts them. This tactic still works, because of all the safety nets, but against a competend killer this will fall flat during the last leg of the trial when suddenly all the gens are within reach of the killer. But I don't complain ^^
I agree,feels so good as survivor to have the last gen not be a 3gen that at times seems impossible to break especially againts a good killer.

Who even plays Hag anymore,I haven't seen a Hag in forever.

I see folks coming onto the forums to complain about this often, but are you certain that what you're experiencing isn't merely a lack of understanding of game mechanics? 'Wall-hacking' is difficult to prove, as an experienced killer/survivor will have a lot of knowledge of where the other party may be located. And small boosts of speed could just be a difference in software performance, or more adept movements around corners that comes - again, with experience playing the game.
I'm not about to claim that I haven't encountered cheating myself, directly. But in the past 100 hours playing, its only been on 3 different occasions, and they were all incredibly obvious: moving above/below the map - evidenced by my doctor mirages appearing next to them outside the map range, getting up immediately after being downed, or teleporting around the map. 'Subtle' cheating may be in play, but it would take a lot to convince me that its as prevalent as some make it out to be.
This is why i'm saying they're subtle when cheating,you cant tell if they're cheating or not,but when you see a survivor/killer,winning 100% of mindgames you start to wonder,or when they're always ahead of you in a chase even when you should get distance on them.

Title. Every 3 matches on 5 i met someone that go faster than usual... Just to make an example I did a match as billy and this Nea was running enough fast to always reach a pallet or a window... At a certain point I tried to chase her on purpose to see how much far she went... I couldn't catch her despite I had bamboozle and when i got bloodlust lv3... Useless to say that his steam profile was lv0 and private... BHVR should gave priority to fix the cheater problem before applying any decisions about balance...
Yeah,I cant stand subtle cheaters,they are the worst,most of my games as killer,there is at least 1 survivor that always gets distance on me in a chance when it should be the other way around.
Also i'll bother to report cheaters with video,ticket when they will start taking cheating more seriously and listen to the community more.
I did that in the past and the guy I reported still wasn't banned despite it being an obvious cheater.
-
I think ds is good as it is and doesn't need a change.
It works as intended,an anti tunneling perk.
If you apply those changes to it,killers will start tunneling again even if you have ds.
-
I agree,coh absolutely destroys m1 killers especially in a coordinated team.
And I just feel like boone make survivors even lazier,especially a coh,you dont even need a medkit or a teammate to heal anymore,you can always just go where the boon is and heal yourself.
-
Or you know,get a better anticheat if they really wanna fix the cheating.

You need:
- Video evidence of him undoubtedly hacking
- Report them via a ticket on their website
- Hope they actually ban him.
Yeah,because we players need do to their job and go through all that effort.
Also not everyone record their gameplay when playing.
I made tickets before with evidence and checked a few weeks later,that person was not banned.
-
Recently got a hacker that insta escaped after getting downed,doubt BHVR banned him even tho I made a report.

I tried VHS too and gotta say,the game design really isn't appealing to me,this dragged closed beta just made it worse.

The game has always had issues. Used to unplayable as killer and slowly got better, then worse, then better, then worse.
It's a back and forth.
As of now. It's not very fun playing killer. To unbalanced. Survivors have their hands held. Not so much in solo but with teams (which is most) It's unplayable against 2 or more decent Survivors.
The maps have more than enough pallets and jungle gyms to drag out chases long enough for the gens to all pop.
Unless your nurse. Or blight. Literally the only 2 killers that are viable. Everyone else is just luck and mistakes of the survivors.
All m1 killers become unplayable after a certain mmr number. Don't believe me? Try it yourself.
It's a struggle. And it's not fun.
Not unplayable but have to sweat hard to do good on m1 killer,every chase and decision matter so much.
If you're good at blight or nurse you just ignore every problem m1 killers have to deal with.
But I agree,playing killer is not too fun,even if I 4k or let survivors escape,the fun is not there
-
Can confirm,i'm a red rank killer with over 1k hours in the game and I keep getting matched wtih silver and bronze survivors with much less hours than me.
-
@Pulsar said:
It's about the same, maybe a little worse.
So they made a system that changed nothing?Nice.
-
MMR makes no sense honestly,its like it does nothing.
-
Considering the fact most killers I face camp,i'd say camping gives more results than it should.
And on average survivors dont last in chase more than 80 seconds.
Lasting that much in a chase is not common,especially againts a good killer,while being facecamped happens very often.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
That is not camping giving him more than one kill, that is survivors messing up and a Bubba getting 2 kills. Big difference. I mean, yeah, he happened to camp, but based on what you said, he probably would have done the same even without facecamping if we are being realistic.
Messing up what?There is literally no time to do all gens before 1 survivor dies.

The simple solution is to, you know
Actually, ban players instead of making it a chore to properly report players with the customer support tickets.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4L386H9N6865/racism-1-li.jpg
Cause saying ######### like this should result in an automatic perma ban
(censored, as I sent a report in already)
I agree,players should get a warning when they say something bad in the chat,and at 3 warning for example,they will get a short ban from matchmaking.

I dislike the following:
Map Reworks
Boon Totems
Survivor Animations
MMR
I like the ideea of MMR,but not the current MMR system we have,which doesn't work well at all.
As map reworks,some I like more and some less.
What I really dislike is how maps dont have that dark ambience anymore since they are bright,but since most people just turn their brightness settings to max anyway I dont think there's something you can do about that.
The survivor animations dont bother me much even tho they used to look more funny in the past.
And boon totems yeah,its an addition that conflicts too much with others.
-
@FlameLickVA said:
It's also not surprising how the game's community has devolved into a toxic majority, sadly.
Yeah game got more popular and also more toxic,I wonder if there will come a day when BHVR will take toxicity more seriously.
I see even streamers that are so toxic and you know when people dont shy away from being toxic even when they're streaming,its a problem.
-
@Pulsar said:
I respect your opinion but I hate over half of these things.
The only thing I really dont like are boon totems since it conficlts too much with dull totems.

Yeah game is so killer sided,playing killer is so fun.
/s
Game shouldn't be either sided,it should be fun for both sides.
-
This is why camping is the biggest issue this game has.
-
I'll do something about camping,I absoletuley hate this is still a thing in this game.

Yes that's true but we are forgetting partly what OP is saying too. Fellow SURVIVORS are trolling and punishing other survivors who break totems because of losing a "possible" Boon location. I have been punished by getting body blocked at a doorway to get downed by a Killer or harassed at end game by my teammates because I broke a totem.
And before most didn't actively seek totems because of NoED most just broke a totem they found for the BP unless they have Inner.
Yeah,i'm on a dull totem trying to cleanse it then I see a Mikaela teabagging and doing nothing all game.
-
@bm33 said:
I cleansed a dull totem the other day and a Mikaela came over to be obnoxious clicking her flashlight at me and then the totem over and over while I was trying to work on a gen so I went and cleansed every totem on the map. My swf teammate died and while spectating saw the Mikaela spent the rest of the match hiding in a locker while I did 3 gens and the other player looped the killer. Apparently she couldn't play if she couldn't bless a totem. 😂
Yep,boons are indeed a big buff to noed users.

Ruin cleansed within the first 2 minutes. Devour Hope never getting more than 2 stacks. Pentimento re-snuffed immediately.
I'm pretty sure your experience (and mine as well) are merely anecdotal.
I am reffering mostly to dull totems.

I dont think the current MMR reflects the skill of a player,like many said,you can loop the killer for 5 gens and die,while the other 3 escape while doing nothing but gens.
Also what's that about many ways to skin a cat,is english not your first language because that's a weird example.

Artist has great pressure on generators with DMS, she is almost unstoppable. She has pressure even in chase. She was rare before but not anymore. I don't know i faced with how many Artists with this PR + DMS combo at this week.
This feels like Pre-Nerf Freddy. Ruin + Pre-Nerf Undying + Tinkerer with slow-down add-ons. And put snares around loops and make survivor out and take hits.
Now Artist has same issue. Strong gen pressure and strong anti-loop. Before DMS's buff, only counter of her was Shift + W. So she was losing generators if she would run with you. But now even in chases she can force to block generators.
I can not see any counter. Please tell me how i will counter her while she is blocking generators with DMS and regression with PR.
I hate the Artist and her power that's so boring on both sides,she just hooks someone and spams her crows on generator and pretty much shuts down any loop or chase mechanic,you just need to hold W and avoid chase in the first place,most boring killer in the game.
-
Yeah,its bad for the game,it takes no skill to just afk in front of a jigsaw box and wait for rng,BHVR pretty much enables griefing with that addon.

I played now a good bit of survivor, trying to push my rank before 13 and also i am actually enjoying the event, its really well made this time for both sides.
However I do have to say that some ppl do really kill the fun of the game.
I met a claudette that spawned with me very close to a envelope, I reached it first and opened it infront of her, she was looking at me for a few sec and just literally dcd. I asked her later why she did that and she said "cuz you took my envelope, hope you die of cancer".
If she would be able to read then she would know that you actually want that other ppl take your envelope cuz thats how you unlock the items...
This didnt happen just once, I get every few games 1 person that reacts like that. Since we end up in a 3man its basicly game over.
People that do this shouldn't play this in the first place,those kind of people always look to find something to complain about.

@FFirebrandd said:
Skilled play or no, MMR is fatally flawed in a different way. let me explain.
As a game designer, it is their job to make the most fun way of playing the game also the most efficient to win.
At this point, anyone reasonably familiar with Dead by Daylight knows 2 things. First, MMR only cares about kills and escapes. Second, the most effective way to get kills is to Camp and Tunnel all game every game. Humans are competitive by nature, so I would guess that the majority of players will care about that MMR number even though they can't see it. So... there's going to be a whole lot of killers that just camp and tunnel every single game.
So... what do those two things taken together lead to? Getting camped and tunneled isn't fun, and honestly doing it isn't all that fun either. But that's the play style that is most highly rewarded by the MMR system... so currently the most fun way of playing the game is NO WHERE NEAR the most efficient way to play. That's a massive design flaw.
Yeah,the system is flawed,the only fix is to do something about camping.
-
@CluelessWanderer said:
After years of complaining how Killers camping and tunneling out a survivor at 5 gens is incredibly frsutrating, and the Devs themselves acknowledging how it decimates Solo queue matches, of course they came up with a system that rewards this kind of behaviour.
In Solo queue, basing it on escapes has lead to a drop in altruism and an increase in incedibly selfish play. I've seen survivors completely and totally screw over team mates. Lots of leaving people to die on their first hook, and in end game stats, these same people have done the least in the entire match.
To Patrick, that's "skill".
I agree,that something must be done againts camping to force killers to leave the hook or else they suffer some kind of penalty.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
While i don't think he was completely right he isn't completely wrong either.
If you get 1 kill with 9 hooks then no one is going to deny that your chase game was on point. DbD isn't just about chases though.
There is a macro level of play too, Who do you target? Which hooks do you choose that allow you to defend multiple objectives? etc etc...
In the 9 hook 1 kill game while the chases might have been incredible, the hook distribution can't be worse then that.
You excelled at the micro part of the game but did horrible at the macro part. So i honestly think it's fair that that killer goes down in rank and faces easier survivors untill they learn how to more effectively target survivors.
You don't necessarily have to hardcore tunnel but if you don't have a kill by hook 5-6 you are doing something wrong if you want to play to win
Yeah that's what i'm saying,if you play to win,then you play to kill all the survivors
-
I forgot that map even existed,I'm sad the Stranger Things killer and survivors are gone but i'm not sad the map is.

I am reporting more hackers in DbD than ever the past month or so, and it seems to just continue to get worse and worse as time goes on.
Devs, you need to focus all your efforts on getting the hackers under control or they will end up being the DOOM of this game. I've seen this before with too many other online games. Hackers just completely ruin the game.
Lately it seems like I'm getting about one hacker every hour or two and that seems totally unacceptable to me.
I agree,if hacking reaches a certain point,players would rather not play if half their games are againts hackers.
