"Buff movement speed ADS -> bad"

I said it was bad idea to do that. You don't cancel ADS, you walk while ADS, which I think is actually stronger. But still super boring.

"Find a way", like predrop pallets, oh so hard. I don't know about you, but I use chain break quite a lot, so I like that change. Mainly because I use STBFL.

I use STBFL too, that's why I don't feel comfortable with this particular buff. Pair the current cooldown it with the cigar and the chewing tobacco and you got 10 STBFL stacks for free with the first hit. It's just not ok, and feels like they addressed him completely wrong.

  • He can carry two traps now and he got a full add-on pass.

    • Plague getting a massive buff (less janky to play, better add-ons, better infection rates)
    • Deathslinger getting gutted (32 meter radius while still being 110%, he now has an animation before shooting)
    • Spirit nerf (now has a directional audio qeue, may have a visual qeue too when the patch hits live)
    • Wraith nerf (the speed boost lasts less now)
    • Ghostface "buff" (less cooldown, but his add-ons are still the same except for the cooldown ones)
    • Pig got a really good add-on pass
    • A lot of perks got changed, but nothing major
    • Boon totems (may shift the meta)

Fake ADS -> good, it's cheap

    Less chain break -> good

I don't understand why do you think it is failing, sometimes it's not in your control, of course you will shoot that survivor over pallet, that is not fail)

Buff movement speed ADS -> bad, it just bring zoning again

quick-scope nerf -> bad, it will only force Deathslinger to abuse zoning more than before and takes only good thing about him

bigger TR -> I don't care, you can fix it with perks.

You can still fake ADS, I just told you they buffed it by making you faster while aiming. If they wanted to address it, they would have kept the quickscope and added an slowdown after aiming.

As a deathslinger you are supposed to know when and when not to use your power, yes, sometimes you get screwed by ping, but if you land a shot and the survivor manages to find a way to avoid getting hit (be it by throwing a pallet early or getting stuck on an structure), it's on you. If you land a shot and want to eat the the cooldown for whatever reason, it's really up to you.

That depends, if they changed anything from PTB.

Otherwise not really, some killers will be pain to play for long time, when you will not be able to snowball.

    Good things:

    Trapper and Plague changes.

    Perk changes

    Add-on changes

    Bad things:

Deathslinger changes (some good, some really bad)

    Wraith base-kit nerf

    Circle of Healing

which good changes did deathslinger get? They are all super unhealthy for the gameplay.

    • Less cooldown means you are punished less for failing, which just should not happen.
    • Hellshire iron is still pretty useless (I would argue even more useless than before), while Iri Coin just went from good to borderline overpowered
    • Zoning will still be a thing. Not only did they address it in an extremely mediocre way, they made him fast so he will be losing basically no distance while zoning.

Overall these changes are really poorly executed and thought out, I pray they reconsider them.

Ok, now your probably confused so let me explain. I think ds shouldn't go when you heal yourself or others, and it shouldn't go when unhooking. But I think it should last 20/30/40 seconds, not 40/50/60. so you can heal and save and if you die, you still have ds. Let me know what you think of this. this will reward quick plays and make DS a bit less of a perk that you just try and take hits and instead incentivizes you to help your team get on their feet.

    BONUS: Legion Buff Idea.

Ok, I'm going to start with saying, read through the whole thing.

Legion should be able to down with their power, but they can only down 1 survivor and as soon as they're downed they go into instant fatigue, this change makes it so you have to make a decision. "do I down this survivor or put pressure on the other survivors?" and i think his power should last 5m longer, which is not much but will help out as well.

Let me know what you think

No, that's just old DS with extra steps.

  • OH MY GOD

    ANOTHER KILLER WHINE THREAD

    YOU GUYS NEVER GET TIRED?

  • I mean, it's something at least and not a half assed mid chapter that added a gimmick for the power of one single killer.

I still don't think Pinhead is good unless you are using Engineer's Fang and get lucky Box spawns,

he has the best passive in the game. The problem is that his power is too lackluster, too difficult for how little it offers.

  • @RodDeWitt said:

Because, what is the purpose of playing and buying new killers, if I am going to live in constant fear of them being nerfed out of nowhere? The game was already unfair enough for killers and now i also have to worry that my main (which i bought with real money) will be nerfed because survivors finding it unfair, im done with this game.

Bhvr basically stole money from us.

Jesus christ, adapt. I hate this nerf with every piece of my soul too and will be really mad if it goes live as it currently is, but I know I have to adapt to these changes. I know I will either have to change the way I play slinger or switch to a different main. Just adapt in the same way everyone has had to adapt when their character or their favorite perk gets nerfed, this game does not revolve around you.

  • Why do you guys hate streamers so much? It may be personal experience but most of the streamers I have gotten have been total cinnamon rolls. Plus playing against them and watching the VoD of me playing against them is super fun.

  • @Maperson said:

Tunneling is excuse for bad survivors

    yes.

  • I have been fortunate enough to not face any hackers, maybe because I don't play that much. There was this time recently that I felt a survivor was moving suspiciously fast but I could not really tell.

  • On the contrary, I played a lot of trickster today and I think I found a replacement main in case the deathslinger changes go live as they currently are. I feel people are really sleeping on him because he kind of depends a lot on good maps.

  • @Mercês said:

I feel the only people who complain about Spirit's stand still mind game are the ones who run into her face instead of breaking LOS and getting distance of her. 🤡

But at most loops unless the pallet is incredibly safe and blocks the killer from advancing any further, spirit will catch you. Breaking line of sight and getting distance will not help you at all in most cases, especially if spirit has really good add-ons.

  • Getting swamp maps instantly makes me want to quit. I hate them so much because of the abundance of complicated, boring structures they have.

  • I mean, how frequently do you get these kind of games?

From what I remember, barely anyone cried about billy in the first place.

I didn't like old billy back then because I felt he was too simple. Which looking back and realising now I main a guy that shoots a gun and nothing else, was a pretty stupid opinion.

  • @Foxy_Teltac said:

Dead Hard is strong because it allows survivors to get away from a hit and let them get a free loop simply because they were injured, meanwhile No Mither keeps you permanently injured with little to no benifits that killers are either used to, or just counter outright, so I sat down and decided to think of some changes, here's what I've come up with. Btw just to make this easier on me because the first time I tried posting this I edited it and then it's completely disappeared, I will be writing the perk's effects as if they were already at their max tier.

    Dead Hard

You fight hard even at the end of your line

When injured, push your body to the break of it's limits and fight until the bitter end

    • When injured, press the Active Ability button to gain a 8% Haste Status Effect speed buff for 15 seconds
    • While under the Haste buff, you gain 10% speed boost to Vaulting
    • Grunts of Pain are reduced by 100%
    • Pools of Blood take twice as long to spawn and spread and will not brighten for perks or addons

Dead Hard has a 25 second cooldown and cannot be used during this time.

The goal here is to make Dead Hard a dedicated looping perk that would give a similar effect to Hope, yes, this version of Dead Hard is weaker than the current one but I think with the right survivor, it can be used to a good effect, allowing a skilled player to enhance their looping with extra movement speed. I know this can be paired with Blood Pact or especially Hope to make a survivor move faster than 110 killers and as fast as 115 killers, but I think the fact it's limited time and only does this with niche perks is gonna be ok, plus it's perk slots that get sacrificed in place of the meta ones, it's definitely powerful in those situations, but it's either gonna require 2 survivors to work, or gens to be done to work. The other buffs like Vault speed and Iron will just make it more effective during it's duration rather than a speed boost, reinforcing the fact that this is made for those loop extensions

    No Mither

Go on out, kid, it's just a scratch.

You suffer from the Broken Status Effect for the entire Trial, but benefit from the following effects:

    • Pools of Blood are suppressed.
    • When injured or dying, Grunts of Pain are reduced by 100%.
    • You make no breathing noises
    • Your Recovery speed is increased by 50%.
    • You can recover fully from the Dying State
    • Your footsteps are 50% quieter
    • Your scratch marks disappear 4 seconds sooner
    • Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
    • Avoid any damage during the Dash.
    • Dashing causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 20 seconds and cannot be used while Exhausted

I know that these are a lot of things in one perk slot, but keep in mind that No Mither keeps you injured forever no matter what with the only way you can take a hit being via Endurance status effect. Anway, the goal of these changes is to make No Mither the biggest trade off and give your risk a reward, making you injured all the time, but giving you a buffed old Dead Hard, Iron Will, Buffed Unbreakable and Buffed Lightweight, making you what is essentially someone who refuses to stay dead and refuses to get caught. In a shorter sense, No Mither would make you a super survivor outside and inside chase, but the irony is that you're injured permanently, making a DBD version of a glass cannon.

25 seconds for that effect is too much.

  • Tunneling can only be punished with perks, a killer playing sweaty can just ignore made up rules and go after the same survivor as many times as he wants to sacrifice him as fast as possible. That's why BT and DS are such strong go-to perks, they invalidate one of the most powerful tactics a killer can use in order to win the game.

When a gen gets done there will be absolutely no auditory que that it was finished only visual is this a new bug?

yes, I got screwed by it once. I realized too late that I had lost my 3 gen and had to shift to a different strategy and by that time they were already finishing the last gen.

  • @Eeni said:

I can not count the number of times killers have hung around camping players preventing other survivors from helping, knocking everyone down & leaving us to bleed out, and other BS.

If I DC, I get penalized. Why can’t killers also get penalized for their bad behavior?

    Do gens

  • @BenZ0 said:

Me and a friend realized that 3 weeks ago but it feels like it is getting worse.

It seems that the scratch marks sometimes appear a few seconds delayed. This causes me to lose the survivor if he runs around certain tiles or multiple corners cuz I see the scratch marks too late.

Yeah me too, I think it is related to ping or something because I have noticed this happening more frequently the worse my ping is.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Every Killer has been solid for years now. Except for Trickster maybe. But since Plague, every Killer released can be considered B-Tier at least (except for Trickster).

trickster is really, really good. After the deathslinger nerf he will be the go to ranged killer for close quarters, if you can play him at his full potential he is even deadlier than bubba in open fields.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

You haven't been following the controversy, huh? Blizzard is changing McGee's name because of the incident. It is for the best.

    Care to explain?

  • thanks dbd devs, that's mighty generous of you!

  • Second objectives would be preferable. Something like having to find fuel to repair gens or something along those lines.

  • to be fair they would probably find a way to ignore most of these restrictions.

  • The thing I am most interested about are the spirit changes, not because of the nerf or anything, but because her chase theme is an absolute banger.

Tho, I will really miss my boy Caleb. I hope they at least try to compensate that massive nerf with a considerable buff on release.

Hell no. Sprint burst does not give you bullshit invincibility.

  • bruh you guys were complaining about NFTs because they are horrible for the environment yet simp for Funkos which waste a ######### ton of plastic unnecesarily. Make up your minds already.

I've loved this game ever since ever since my first match. So naturally i wanted to find people online who shared that same passion. I go to the official forums, discord, twitter. And all i feel like i find the exact opposite, pretty much people who want to see the game die, and I don't understand.

I feel like there are so many more things to be positive about in this game but people seem to enjoy seeing it downfall in any kind of way.

And i just don't understand that because i assume most people play this game to have fun and escape from their lives so why would people make that a source of negativity?

I don't want this game to fail. But it is in severe need of actual competition, BHVR knows they can deliver a half assed chapter and people will buy into it because they got virtually no competition that can deliver any better.

Old ruin was strong, but I didn't mind it. I was able to hit my skillchecks and the work I put into it stayed most of the time.

New ruin with a bunch of solo randoms is just horrible at times. All the killer as to do is show up at my gen with his tinkerer proc.

Oh god I don't, you either had your garbage brain teammates searching for the totem the whole match or it had so little effect either because you found the totem early or because you were experienced enough and could power right trough it. Ruin nerf was objectively one of the better changes to an unbelivably boring meta.

  • No, it's pretty distracting. It should be a choice.

Tonight I purchased my first cosmetics ever after playing the game for about years. I hate spending money on those kinds of “frivolous” things in general, but when I sat back and thought about it, I’ve had an awful lot of fun playing this game by myself and with friends over the past three years. I don’t play super frequently (I only have about 800 hours) but spending a little bit of money for those hours of fun to help support the future of the game seems like a really good bargain to me. As much as I love to complain about certain shortcomings of the game, it’s by far the best in its genre and I’ve played it way more than any of the other games I own.

I wanted to post this to encourage anyone else who has been playing the game for a while who hasn’t spent money on cosmetics or DLCs like I hadn’t for a long time to seriously consider spending a little bit as a way to thank the devs for the fun game they created for you to enjoy and also to support the future of the game. Without people spending money on the extra content, the devs don’t have the resources to continue supporting and improving the game we love (and sometimes hate) to play.

No, I don’t work for BHVR 😂 Just a long time fan of the game and want to see it live on for years to come.

Eh, I don't think this kind of behavior is healthy. If you are going to purchase something purchase it because you like it, not because you want to "support" a company. They really don't care about that and most probably don't need it, this game is already pretty financially stable.

For me it is playing spirit on console. Plenty of mind games (until the nerf comes).

Trapper when I can herd survivors onto a big brain trap that was placed near the start of the game and comes in clutch at the end.

    How about you?

Well, none really. That's the fun part about this game, outplaying players in a similar skill level as you.

  • NOED got quite some changes, at first it remained permanently active after someone opened one of the exit gates, then they changed it to whenever the exit gates got powered, then they gave it a timer because it was too overpowered and then when hag got released they made it a hex and that is how they left it.

DS too with all the revisions, I still remember how ######### broken and bullshit old DS was, you really had to get the hang of it back then. The new "anti tunnel" one was marginally better and had SOME counterplay at the very least but it was also really annoying. Current DS is still really useful but definetely a shadow of it's former self.

  • This is the DBD paradox. This game is just not meant to be played competitively yet many people seem to treat it like high level League of Legends or something. Like, jesus christ man, chill, how is repairing all gens in 5 minutes fun at all?

  • ######### no way

    What's next, unicorns in DBD?

  • @PNgamer said:

    Hi,

Yes, many players claim that the High-MMR is survivor-sided and that killers have to take certain things with them into the trail. Is that so ? Well, if you take a close look at it, there are some things that catch your eye.

So I found something from a well known player who describes the following:

-Queue as a 4-Man on comms

-Stretch Res to see over loops

    -Bring Survivor-Sided Map

    -Stack DS/Adren/Borrowed Time/Dead Hard

    -Bring Medkit/Key

-Pick Ace (inbuilt Iron WIll) or Claudette (for Stealth)

In return then this ( Attention current patch state ):

    -Queue as Nurse/Spirit/Blight

    -Stretch Res for inbuilt Shadowborn

    -Stack Corrupt/Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/Pop

    -Run Best Add-ons

-Bring Sacrificial Ward or their own Map Offering to win the 50/50

and now we come to the interesting part: In my opinion too many items and map offerings influence the MMR too much. I found a new video from a well-known streamer, who explains what you could change about all the items, map offerings to bring the whole thing a bit more into balance. Let's not kid ourselves, the mindgame already starts in the lobby, but there is a big difference when you play against 4 survivors with meta perks and good items Map Offering, or against 4 survivors with other items and not meta perks. ( we all know maps are not balanced, there are killer and survivor sided maps )

Before you answer: Feel free to watch the video if you want (start it pls on 0:00). Then you understand even better what I mean.

    https://youtu.be/N7RkW1dw5BM

How do you see that ? Do you also think that the MMR is much too much influenced by it ?

    regards

I have to completely disagree with Otz idea of "full repairs". That would be unbelivably frustrating as a killer and would severely undermine the power of some of the better perks like pop and ruin.
