It's not fair at all, you got extremely bad RNG. Best thing you can do is fill a bug report or something because I am pretty sure this is not supposed to happen.
-
i mean, it's probably a bad answer, but just don't play sweaty? In theory that should lower your mmr enough not to get sweat fests every other game.
-
I still remember very vividly a match that made me so mad I quit playing for a week and stopped maining ghostface. I was playing on rotten fields (before the rework) and despite the fact that I started the match really well (I managed to get 3 hooks before the first gen was done), one meg managed to loop me for the entire match while teabagging me. She kept 360ing and the more she did it the more butthurt I got. At the end I ended up not getting any other hook.
After that I learned that I really should not be getting that mad over a game.

The wiki has all the perk icons.
-
boring. Makes me wish they brought old Freddy back.
-
Finally, someone appreciates the work of the music department. Michel F. April does not get half the credit he deserves, his music really helps build up the atmosphere of dead by daylight, basically all of the chase themes are an absolute banger!
-
When the killer does not let me escape and when the survivors do not let me kill them.
-
Yeah, Plague's adept is for masochists.
-
It now warrants being a hex perk.
-
I don't complain about neither to be honest.
Play however you want to play, just don't complain relentlessly when things don't go your way.

Wasn't that comic from the creator of invader sim?

I play 60 killer/40 survivor. I personally enjoy killer more, I play survivor only because I really enjoy the chase themes.

I didn't see anything indicating either way. Maybe I overlooked something? I hope the removed addons are just being replaced, because if not that's a lot of bloodpoints I'll be losing.
I hope the removed add-ons for spirit get added to the next Yamaoka killer, if we ever get one.

Before I began levelling up Laurie, every time I got tunnelled I was like "Damn, this is why DS is meta!"
Now that I have unlocked DS, I don't think I actually have even been able to use it, ever. It's either because the killer decided to tunnel me 61 seconds after I got unhooked because they didn't find me, or I touched a gen and forgot that it deactivates the perk.
Even if I was able to use it, I would use it a very little amount of times. It's such a situational perk that uses up a precious perk slot. Why is it meta?
Because there will be times where your teammates will screw you over, unhook you in front of the killer without BT, and the killer simply won't care and pick you up. DS may give you a second wind in such case. And the are many such cases, especially on solo.

I tried Pop, Ruin, and Bamboozle, but I didn't need Bamboozle.
Pop catches the survivor in the beginning and by the time he hooks it, the generator is running and he can't use it.
Ruin hates being too influenced by luck.
I recently tried a build with eruption and it did a surprising amount of work, it literally carried me on one game where the last gen was about to pop and it activated just after I downed someone with my demon rush. It had two people on it and I managed to reach thanks to those precious 16 seconds of incapacitated.

Just make Nemesis 110% speed while he's carrying it, give him 0.4 aiming time, and the rockets fly slower than a Huntress axe, but explode.
Tell me you can't find cover in time.
I would rather have him jump like in RE 3, I haven't actually played the game but I looked at some gameplay and having a jumping ability as nemesis would be really neat. It would be kind of useless on indoor maps but I can see it being really fun on maps like coldwind.

I love it on both ends tbh. It’s really not bad if you actually learn it.
Yeah this, it's just that it's REALLY hard to learn, I never played RE 3 so I had a really hard time learning how to properly play on it and I completely understand why so many people just can't get the hang of it.

Behaviour seems too concerned with making Killers fun to play against, less so to play as.
To be honest this nerf will probably make him even less fun to play against.
- 32 meters radius, which means Starstruck will be A LOT more common and we know how much survivors love that perk.
- They didn't get rid of the stupid zoning, in fact, one could say that they buffed it by making him a lot faster while ADSing
- Iri coin buffed to 12 meters, you will be seeing a lot more and it will not be fun, believe me. I have been playing with current iri coin and it already is a powerful borderline broken add-on if you know how to use it, it's just too map situational. This single change will probably change the meta around deathslinger, and will enable some really campy playstyles..
This is overall a really bad and unhealthy change, they addressed everything wrong with him. If they wanted to get rid of the zoning they would have slowed him down after ADSing and kept his quickscope, rewarding skillfull play.
-
Twins possibly. I really enjoy them from time to time but their gameplay is just not healthy, you just leave victor or charlotte proxy camping and call it a day. And then we have the slug fests which I guess are not very fun.

4 MAN SWF Streamers with the best perks vs Killers with their Best Add Ons
To be fair, you used redhead's pinky finger. Does not make it any less impressive tho, good job.
-
I have only been DS'd three or four times since the nerf and it was because I was playing hyper aggresively. You must be tunneling hard for the perk to actually come into play
-
There should be an effect similar to some perks, where survivors need to work at least 5 continous seconds on a gen before stopping the regression. So that if they just tap the gen it does not go back to regressing.
-
The meaty sound that plays when you land a shot as deathslinger, especially when they are far away

Because as for me, I think I will.
Not because he will be nerfed (aka weaker killer), but because he will be clunky and unfun to play as.
If they would give him back at least his quick-scope, then he could still be playable (aka less fun, but still not feel super clunky).
And you guys?
I will wait and see how hard it affects my gameplay, if it becomes unbearable I will probably have no option but to change to my boy Nemo (Nemesis).

i thought it was only me, her face looks all swollen all the time for some reason.

I think the RE chapter was done super poorly. Nemesis doesn't even feel like Nemesis without some sort of running ability or weaponry, the zombies are super bland and annoying for both sides and his actual power is so lackluster that even Trickster is arguably better than him.
SH chapter was much better indeed. Pyramid Head is actually a scary chaser and the cages, although technically not in the games, fit super well his power.
I don't think the problem was the lack of horror because Stranger Things isn't even a horror franchise and I think everybody agrees the chapter was a success.
I personally found his power one of the funnest, I am thinking of maining him after deathslinger get's his nerf. I feel that people are not using it correctly most of the time, but I will admit that he get's screwed by RNG and piss poor AI a lot of the time.
-
Because I don't like getting screwed over by someone pressing E.

It’s called an opinion. In an asymmetrical game, the SOLE PLAYER (Killer) should have much more strength in order to counter the coordinated efforts of the other players (4 Survivors).
Right now, a decent team of survivors have just as much power as the killer. It feels wrong.
Remember, this is my opinion. MY preference, not yours.
Well, ok then, the way you worded it made it sound like a demand with the whole "supposed to be" thing.

So you’d prefer 8 hooks and 0 kills over 7 hooks and 2 kills? Interesting.
Back to the OP, the balance should be 3 kills (preferably at least 9 hooks) and 1 escape TBH. Killer is supposed to be the power role and survivors should be scared of the killer. This may be an unpopular opinion, but escaping so be a thrilling experience because you outlasted a horrifying situation, not basically a guarantee if you have a good team. Instead we have t-baggers at the exit gates clicking flashlights. Playing survivor doesn’t feel like I’m playing a “survivor”, it feels like I’m playing Pallet Loop Simulator.
But this game has no power role? What makes you think otherwise? You are not supposed to be curbstomping every survivor you see in every match. Jesus I see these forums crying about survivor entitlement every other post, are you seeing your posts guys?

Just buy more cosmetics at double the price of the actual characters and you will really start to enjoy the game!
Oppresed killers don't buy cosmetics or something?

No joke, when I load up the game and look at the Killer Menu, I get spine chills and my hands start shaking from the stress and dread of playing another match that may go sour and frustrating and getting BM'ed by a cocky, well-organized and unempathetic Survivor team.
The amount of time it takes for me to mentally prepare myself for a round as Killer is ridiculous.
How do you screw up the atmosphere so badly, that the prospect of playing as the deadly slasher is literally more scary than playing as the meek and hapless victims?
Then why are you playing?
-
You can actually disable crossplay if I remember correctly, it's at the bottom of the options tab. Tho, let me warn you, you will have a very bad time finding a game.
-
Something with lockers. You enter one and teleport to another, gaining a considerable speed boost after exiting the locker you teleported to.
-
Could be worse.

Honest question. I know a lot of killers say the early game is the most important aspect of the match, so would you say that lethal pursuer is more important, or corrupt?
It really depends on what you are going for. I have seen some people say that lethal pursuer gets outclassed by corrupt but I feel that they are missing the point of both perks. Corrupt buys you time, which comes super handy for setup killers and generally killers with poor mobility, whereas lethal pursuer helps you not only to start chases quicker, but also to plan your games better.
I like to play aggresive and end chases as fast as possible so I can rely on my pressure instead of my slowdown perks (reason why I main slinger), so I prefer lethal pursuer because comes especially handy for that. The faster you can start a chase with the survivor, the faster you can down them and start snowballing.
I run corrupt exclusively on low mobility killers that I am not really good with, because it really helps make the early game more bearable. It will (or at least theoretically should) buy me enough time to find a survivor and down them, or in the case I am playing a setup killer like Hag, Trapper or Demo, time to setup without having to worry about gens flying.
In resume: Lethal pursuer if you want an aggresive early game that allows you to start snowballing with killers you are really good with from the get go, Corrupt if you want a defensive early game that allows you to plan things much more calmly without having to worry about losing a ton of gens early on.

Yeah since the dh fix game is running a little better for me. And it will get better in the next update when some of the other things get fixed too, I hope.
I am only worried about console overheating but I played a lot and nothing happened. Still it is not ideal at all.
Yeah, I really hope the next update does not bring the overheat issue again. My PS4 was literally shutting down on the title screen before the pinhea update, I could not play at all.
-
Lethal Pursuer. My kill rate has probably risen a lot since I started running it, it really gives a lot of killers the early game pressure they desperately need.
-
Uh, how do you know they are modders? do you mean hackers?
-
Not really. It's just extremely inconsistent. But overall I feel like the quality of my games has improved, and I don't have to worry about ranks now so that's great.
-
I never really mained any side, there was a time I became a complete killer main because I didn't have enough time to rank up and I didn't want to play at lower ranks but thankfully mmr fixed that (somewhat at least)

After over 5 years and 4000 hours of playing DbD as both killer and survivor, even through the darker times of DbD, I'm quitting killer and unless the balance issues are addressed, I won't come back to it.
That decision was prompted by 4 hours of playing killer with exactly zero progression on the challenge to kill 15 survivors by any means. I'm not kidding, I played about 20-25 games and I couldn't kill a single survivor.
It's such a horrible feeling, you play and play and play and you don't get anywhere. It doesn't seem to matter what I did, I couldn't overcome the obstacle. Either I had bad map rng, 4man SWF, key escapes, second chance perks, you name it. There was always something to deny me progressing my objective enough to actually kill someone. I got some hooks in here and there, but that is not enough. Switching killers didn't help, switching loadouts didn't help either and it's been progressively getting worse over the last few weeks. I'm out of ideas what I could change at this point, so I'll have to consider just leaving it.
I'm not looking for pity or anything, I just wanted to get this off my chest. I've never felt so frustrated and powerless as the supposed "power role" as today, and I'm just done. And honestly, looking at the fuckery the devs are doing with boon totems doesn't give me any hope that something will ever change about balance. It hasn't happened after 5 years, I don't think it's going to happen anymore. I know some people are very much "the glass is half full", but there's just no reason to be optimistic about this.
I've come close to quitting killer a bunch of times, but seeing that progress bar stuck at 0 after 4 hours straight has done it for me.
Mate... I am sorry, but if you go 25 matches without killing anybody, that is most probably on you.

The map feels super bad to play on. "Just give it time to learn the layout" I have played like 40 games on it already, have learned the layout and it still feels HORRIBLE to play on. I don't know how could you take all the criticism of Midwich and make a map that is 10 times worse to play on. Half of the killers' powers barely work on it and as survivor you either hold W or drop god pallets, it's anti-fun. Don't get me started on those 2 god windows next to the main hall, it's literally an infinite (thank god barely anyone knows how busted that set up is).
I just don't know how could you look at the entire RE franchise and take the worst possible location to make a DBD map.
I really like RPD even though I have not played RE in my life, but I understand why so many people complain about it. It's by far the hardest map to learn to navigate properly and to be honest I don't think everyone who plays this game has enough time to learn a single map.

Enjoy killer gameplay and be really a killer is different, killers cant do anything vs good survivors. Killers nowadays is a toy in survivors hands, nothing more. The power role lost in 1 vs 4 game.
Ok? Speak for yourself. If you are doing awfully and feel like the survivor's toy does not mean that the rest of us are having ######### games.
-
Yeah, this is a universally acknowleged fact especially at high level play. If you don't tunnel or proxy camp, keeping pressure will be really hard.
But then again, if I am going against baby survivors, ¿why would I be playing that way? I don't find playing like that enjoyable against newbies so I don't do it.

When you run this perk, do you feel that you get a decent amount of extra game-time from it? I haven't yet bought Pinhead and I'm wondering if it might provide more value to the game than Deadlock when you consider both the Obliviousness and cleansing time. When I'm hit by Plaything as survivor, getting rid of the totem is first priority. I'm assuming that all 4 survivors generally do cleanse. That's almost exactly 1 minute of time added to the game, not counting travel time.
It's an extremely fun perk, I feel people are sleeping on it because of dead end.
-
Pop underpowered? That is definetely a new one...
-
One player sandbagged me the entire match because I failed a healing skill check once. The killer wasn't even close and he started running, then the rest of the match he just blocked me from dropping pallets.

YO hey,
Let's not kid ourselves. Punishing a SWF just for playing together would not be fair and is a difficult issue. But if you ask me the best way would be to give the Solo Survivor's a BUFF in the form of blood points. That means if you decide to play solo you get double blood points. This would firstly be better for the grind and would have the nice side effect that SWF would remain untouched. Fair or unfair ? This could be discussed now but, I thought about it for a long time and I didn't come to a better solution. Maybe someone of you has something better?
Yeah, that sounds great. Double the current solo qeue bp earning and keep SWF earning the same, that way people will be incetivized to play solo more.
