On the Survivors video they did say “Most killers move faster than survivors, so running in a straight line will prove futile.”. I want the videos to be at least honest.

Except we have no proof their MMR are even close. It'll match you up with anybody eventually. Add to that it looks like the killer had their 3 teachable perks plus Ruin and I'm extremely doubtful it was even close to an even match.
For beginners they are.

Says it right there on the tin. An absolute beginner killer will feel like this. An absolute beginner survivor will feel like exposed prey.
Absolute beginners won’t know what items are strong, and even if I do, they most likely don’t exactly know why, and how to use them. This ain’t about the 4-man deathsquads, this is about New Players.
Being honest would mean losing a pretty huge amount of potential buyers. If they were honest about the state of the game and the state of the meta, these advertisements would be a horrendous method of enticing new players.

That said this is a beginners guide. If you consider both Killers and Survivors who just start the game than jes, the Killer is the power role an apex predator surrounded by prey. @GentlemanFridge pointed this out already and I can only empathise this: This is aimed at newer players. Here you can win games with 0 perks Hillbilly and Agitation Trapper and the worst perk in existence is NoeD with the worsted opponent being Freddy because you get confused by his lullaby and his teleportation.
Judging by your picture you are no Beginner. Make this again, but this time pit baby-Dwight, Meghead and Blendette with only their personal perks and no more than 50 hourse into the game against that Cenobite...
An apex predator is simply one who sits at the top of the food chain and who's not a prey to any other predator.
Last I checked, survivors can't hunt down killers.
If we really want to make silly debates about catch prashes of a beginner's guide, then we should point out how trials aren't food hunts for the killers and how they're all preys to the true apex predator aka the Entity.

It's not rank based matchmaking though? Have you read the patch notes for like months now? Its Skill based matchmaking where you have a hidden number that is based on Kills and Escapes. In this case Killer had a similar "Skill" to us though?
Skill based matchmaking is a joke there is plenty of evidence that it doesn't even matter because they didn't even take real skill into consideration, have you not seen the devs response to how it works? They literally made themselves look like fools with that response and it proves that even mmr means absolutely nothing in this game, but the rank difference shows they don't play killer as much as you play survivor
