I don't think that's going to be a popular opinion considering they just increased the amount of time survivors can be on hook…

I'm all for it because it only will be useful if someone is being a bot just camping the basement watching the stairs instead of playing the game I'm all for discouraging those players in anyway possible

  • I haven't lost yet with him and in fact I'm gonna go ahead and say he's probably a low A tier currently, if you want better luck try a autohaven or coldwind map I'm not sure what they've done to coldwind but it's tiny now I literally 4kd a comp team at 3 gens with Blight when this team normally gives me a strong run for my money but whatever they've done to torment creek has totally ruined it we were literally laughing in a discord call because of just how small the map looked and how easy it is to win there now

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't NVIDIA filters provided on an opt-in basis? So game developers are responsible for asking NVIDIA to make them compatible with their game? That's the gist I get when I search online, and DbD is listed as a supported game by NVIDIA themselves (https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/games/).

They are compatible you can literally get on the software on your computer and boot DBD up from it directly, Nvidia is just the computers graphics card it's not a cheat program like the ones people are actually being banned for, I played all day with nvidia and didn't get banned today but my filters were disabled, I just can't download another program to bypass that and I'll be fine, that's where people are getting in trouble is looking for workarounds instead of just letting them go.

  • These servers are cheap is why, they need to upgrade the servers with all the money they've made from those overpriced outfits and skins

In some cases, sacrificing a Survivor in a certain part of the map could create a hook deadzone where it was not possible to get to another hook in time. This is especially true when Survivors would intentionally run to those areas knowing the hook was permanently destroyed and that the Killer couldn't hook them if they go down there.

The end result is the Killer needing to leave the Survivor on the ground for several minutes waiting for them to slowly bleed out. This was not fun gameplay for anyone, so we've made hooks respawn after a while.

If this is the reasoning behind it, then wouldn't you agree that bleeding out with no intention of hooking should be bannable ?

  • Alot of people will probably think this is cheesy but I want the OG horror squad all in here

And I'm referring to the original versions of Frankenstein, bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, creature from the black lagoon, werewolf, mummy, maybe even phantom of the opera the ones from the old days where horror first started it would be nice to have that in there as a respect to the crew that really paved the way for what we have now

In my experience the survivor bots are often better than the one that they replace.

Man I wish I was getting those bots lol the ones I get try to loop killers at a z wall on the edge map

  • Your post is the whole thing wrong with solo q in general when you have people who refuse to do anything but hide the other survivors who are trying to play normal get screwed because all the weight is on them meanwhile you have 2 people running perks like left behind and hiding out all game, they need to completely remove the option to hide without doing objectives once you do it for like 80+secs of time and just give a constant aura reveal until they do a gen to get them out of there since they don't want to play the game

  • If you struggle with killer in 2024 that's a personal problem it's literally never been easier for me, for everyone that has your opinion there are an equal amount of killer mains who share my opinion that if you made this game any easier it would be flat out boring to play unless both sides were given sizable buffs for more fun, I'm literally playing killers like Freddy, wraith, onryo, clown and demo still winning most my matches because nurse, blight, oni, or billy isnt fun for me anymore when you can end a match in like 2 minutes and half the team dcs when you down someone in the first 25-30 seconds, what would even be the point in playing when I could just stack slowdowns on top of the debuff you're suggesting and sleepwalk my way to a win?

  • While I personally don't use WOO and I don't think it's really as strong as some people make it out to be, IF you were going to change it due to the overall pick rate being too high, they should make it to where when you first get in chase it gives you a 10 sec reveal and then after that every time you vault a window while in chase it should reveal for 10 sec all pallet and window locations, that way for the longer you can stay up in chase you're rewarded while also having to use memory and skill to continue getting the effect mid chase, is it a nerf? Yes but at least this way something is involved to earn it along the way

  • Honestly I haven't even played the game in a few days, killer was a ton of fun even with the que times and survivor was a hair too simple in my opinion during 2v8 there were so many pallets it's hard to mess that up, I think knowing it was going away and the thought of going back to the same thing I've been doing for most of the last decade just doesn't sound enjoyable to me anymore, BHVR tells us to adapt but I think it's time for them to adapt with different things instead of regurgitating the same old thing back at us, there's alot of different things they could do with just the standard number of players that wouldn't hurt que times at all, if halo infinite can have 47 modes and me narrow it down to 3 on a quick play selection and still get a lobby within a minute, this game should be able to do the same unless the servers are truly just that bad in this game that it's the issue and not the player count

  • You have more than just the bat as an option , it's more for traversing the map than using in chase.

Well when you have a bad day at work or in life that can cause you to not tolerate things you would normally.

And it's really not that hard to just leave the game and not tbag or not hit someone on hook. I have played thousands of survivor matches and I have t bagged at gate a grand total of 2 times. Back when I was brand new and the killer was tunneling. It does nothing but annoy people so why do it at all?

People consider anything that outplay them annoying though so that's hardly a good reason especially when it's yourself allowing the feeling, there's nothing malicious about t bagging and it's only annoying to people who just continue to chase that person and that's exactly what those people want is for you to throw the whole match to chase them while the gens pop because someone decided to get in their feelings over a game, to me it's a legitimate strategy that provides good laughs along the way when someone is just so set on catching you in a rage they start making a thousand mistakes instead of spreading pressure and actually getting the W against those people, also there's nothing stopping you from doing it back to those people that dish out

Easier said than done. Some people play this game to have fun and unwind after a hard day at work. Using a goofy build to have fun only to destroyed by a sweat squad that wait out the full EGC spamming loud noise notis. Its never bothered me personally, but I understand why it bothers others. I have been playing games for 20 years, so you just get used to it. But not everyone is like that.

And to me that's a problem with people these days, people forgot how to lose without Raging or they just don't see humor in the situation , is it really healthy for those people to play a game like this with such a fragile mental state that they can't handle a bunch of pixels bopping up and down on a screen?

  • They can't do anything! I had full legacy on 4 characters and one of my torso pieces randomly disappeared years ago and they refused to help me, apparently they're dead set on never giving it out again even if you earned it the right way if it's gone it's gone

I've been seeing a lot of posts recently, especially after 2v8, about how Killers or Survivors are bullying the others. Now, I want to make a quick disclaimer that I don't mean to disregard people's feelings. If something bothered you, it bothered you.

It just seems to me that many of these feelings are happening as a result of assuming that etiquette established by some parts of the community are known by every player, including new players, and that actions assumed to be offensive may not actually be at all.

For now I'll just cover a couple I've seen brought up recently:

    1) Spam Crouching
There seems to be an assumption that any time a Survivor crouches more than once in a row that it's meant as a taunt. I'm sure many do, but I'm just as sure that many don't.

I've seen Survivors crouch a lot in a ton of circumstances, most of which don't even have the Killer involved. The thing is, the only official gestures the Survivors have is a point and a beckon. They don't even have a "stay away" (which I've wanted many times to warn teammates). Survivors spam crouch to communicate a lot of different things due to a lack of other options. Other common reasons to spam crouch include trying to get another survivor's attention to ask for someone to get off a generator so they can heal them, or to ask for a spot on the generator because of a Tome Challenge they have.

I have good reason to believe that at least some times that a Survivor crouches to a Killer is not to Taunt them, but even just to say hi or otherwise acknowledge them. Sometimes they even seem to use it to request that I kill them (when they don't flee and have no friends that sabotage, they certainly aren't trying to show off).

    2) Survivors Waiting to Leave
Obviously the main concern here is Survivors spam crouching at the Killer before leaving a match, but recently I've seen more and more posts that imply waiting for the Killer at all before leaving a match is an act of bullying.

I can understand in theory how this can feel, but I can also confirm that it's not by any means inherently intended. When I'm a Survivor, I usually stay inside as long as possible just in case my team needs me, and I only leave if the Killer shows up because I know my chance of helping the team has just expired, not because I was taunting the Killer. On the other end, when I'm a Killer, I myself actually prefer being able to see the Survivors one last time just to feel like I saw the end of the match. Having everyone escape when I'm between doors in my patrol feels a little anticlimactic to me.

Again, I don't mean to dismiss anyone's feelings, I just think it's best to assume ignorance of community etiquette before assuming malice. If someone's insulting you directly in chat, that's one thing. Any gesture in game, though, is really too vague to know what they really mean by it. Believe me, I myself have played against really frustrating Survivor teams that forgo objectives to flashlight you, loop you, sabotage hooks when you finally down one of them, and generally stay one step ahead as a team. It's not fun. Sometimes, though, I think our issue is with our preconceived notions rather than the intent of other players.

Anything in game is fair play, people can leave their feelings in the real world where real problems are happening, everyone is just here for fun and if for some reason you or me or anyone else isn't having fun or feels bullied it's totally up to those people to remove themselves from things or situations that cause them a mental strain

I do know that there's an equal amount of people that oppose it being in the game but it is what it is

It's the 'equal amount' that seems like wishcasting. It feels like Hogwarts: Legacy where online people convinced themselves there was a massive movement against the game, then it made a gazillion dollars.

You're free to have your own opinion but I've seen the hate spread about this topic before and it always turns into a dumpster fire but don't take my word for it other people who have been here long enough are sure to remember

Calling it tragic is a bit much though. Nobody has died from FNAF being put into DBD. That's what actual tragedy is imo.

And don't get me wrong, people are completely within their right to be upset about it, totally. I respect that POV.

The franchise's top dude donated some money to people with abhorrent beliefs and values but he's 1 dude. His company and BHVR employ a lot of people from all walks of life, is it not unfair to tar them all with the same brush? I'm not even looking to defend BHVR since I think in their current state they're pretty greedy and have made a lot of bad decisions.

But It's been known for a while known BHVR is currently working with Blumhouse for the DBD film, the same studio that made the FNAF film (and sequels I think). Where was the upset when that happened? BHVR is directly working with a company that supported this Scott dude, is that not the same thing?

Or their collabs with the other companies who, if you do some research, have their own controversies?

People give money to corporations and companies that do harm to the world every day, this could just be seen as another example.

Imo the best thing one can do is just stick to your values with stuff like this. If BHVR has really messed up in your eyes, don't give them your money or attention anymore. Focus on the positive things that do deserve those things.

You can say it's not fair to compare what was done to the franchise but that's the very reason we didn't get the creeper from jeepers creepers in this game and at that time was a chapter alot of people really wanted, while I personally don't care if fnaf is in the game or not, I do know that there's an equal amount of people that oppose it being in the game but it is what it is, hopefully it's a fun chapter for all

  • I'm not sure because I haven't ran it in a long time but the perk undying used to transfer the hex to another totem but idk if it still does I rarely use hex perks and even when I do that usually isn't one of them, but it may not even do that anymore.

Still 50+ Mins wait time it is getting WORSE no improving

If its 50/50 you failed your job its supposed to be 40/60

You don't know what their metric is for balance in 2v8 I would hardly throw around the term "failed", it could be a 50/50 rate they're aiming for just to have a non competitive party mode, just because the normal game strives for a 40/60 ratio doesn't mean every aspect of any game mode needs that, they could come out with a more stealthy mode tomorrow where it's a 25/75 and there's only one left standing everytime and it would totally shatter any type of metric you have for balance but it could still be a fun mode everyone enjoyed if done properly.

  • I don't really care about it to be honest, let people have their fun however they see fit as long as it doesn't break any game rules or end in threats what's the harm? It can only do me harm and make me mad if I allow myself to be weak minded and let it get to me, so I just laugh it off or get them back with their own medicine,

  • Wesker is fine, when they change map tiles it also forces you to re adapt your map knowledge on how certain areas spawn, once you get used to it again it will feel just like it did before, I think just about everyone has a little hiccup when the maps first get altered unless you're in bot matches forcing yourself to adapt before you play public lobbies.

  • Well it's good you're giving the other side a try, I've never understood why people buy this game and only play survivor or killer and not the other role it's like you're cheating yourself out of half of the game and missing out on important knowledge at the same time, it will only make you better.

Honestly I am surprised as many people like it.

I find it beyond tilting how often I get into a game and I am literally the only one doing gens for so much of the match. Like, ######### are the other 5 survivors doing if I assume that 2 are being chased by the 2 killers?!

It's so frustrating and I don't get why people rate this mode so highly

I personally am enjoying this other than the que times, as a survivor I feel your pain it's pretty much a coin toss whether you get a team that will do gens, but I recommend bringing a few friends into the que it's no different than the current state of solo q , they really need to make the hatch not open with gens still needing to be done so these stealthy players will actually try to do objectives instead of hiding for hatch at the start of the game I really feel like it's part of the issue of nobody doing ######### sometimes

Ok so my terminology was incorrect, I accept that but… break the pallet if it’s so troublesome.

The the whole point of a pallet in this game is to provide a break in chase and even discourage killers to continue on, but rather go and kick gens or chase someone else - even though the premise seems to be lost on BHVR these days.

Most pallets are absolute trash now. They’re so unsafe that the killer is round the other side downing you before the animation is even finished. I don’t see why we’ve gone so far in the other direction. It’s really disheartening that people want yet more of this action which imo should never have happened in the first place.

Reduce the total amount of pallets on a map. Fine, but make the ones that are there useful, please.

Think of it this way, as a 50/50 player I don't mind a few god pallets here and there, I generally believe every pallet should have some play for the survivor but too many god pallets are a bad thing because there's no mindgame or no counterplay it's literally follow the survivor to the the god pallet knowing they're gonna throw it and you have to break it, every second counts as a killer so if you have too many a survivor can just run you to every one of them on a five gen run because you lose any gained bloodlust when you break a pallet and there's no counterplay unless survivors want nurse every match , as for the map disturbed ward I believe it's a good balanced map that doesn't really need any adjustments, I would like to see gideons reworked to not have like 10-12 god pallets and over 30 pallets on the map, are we really bringing up the 3 balanced god pallets on disturbed ward and ignoring the giant elephant in the room? That's my question.

  • That's your experience, I've personally had a ton of fun minus the wait time, the three hatches opening with gens still needing to be repaired is a bit annoying maybe it should just be 2 ? Regardless I have no room to complain I haven't lost yet on there me and a friend have had extremely good luck so far with no less than a 6k every game, but our general rule of thumb is one of us has to play billy or nurse every match because you have to have at least 1 mobility killer against good survivors but 2 is overkill in my opinion a

  • I know a guy who's been streaming himself for months now cheating and nothing is done, seriously we need to just get rid of the name and shame rule around here and let people just post the evidence outright for all to see specifically in the case of blatant hacking, if it's in the open being streamed I should be able to just post it here without fear of being banned because they're choosing to just show the world anyway.

If you're on PC now then you don't pay anything steam is free to use,

  • The PTB has to be coming soon because the chapter is set to be released in August and it takes 3 weeks from the PTB to release to public servers I'm guessing this week or next well see it but I'm stoked there's alot of cool stuff they could do power and cosmetic wise.

It's granting one generator's progress vs deleting a gens progress.

And the extra gen completion requires a survivor to quit the match per gen, where deleting a gen only required equipping a perk and it basically doubled the number of gens needed.

Not to mention the merciless bug was never kill switched and took about two months to fix, and this current bug will be fixed almost immediately.

Does it need to be fixed? Yes and the fix is coming. But the crying is insane, there are like 4 posts on the main page about it and people are losing their minds.

Well regardless of what you consider crying ive only made one post about it and it definitely is an issue that needs brought up unless you just never play killer, I've already been informed it's being fixed

Something similar happened with Merciless Storm. That was busted for several weeks—maybe even a month or more. This bug has lasted (assuming it’s patched next week)… a week?

You can hardly compare the two, one ended a gens progress and the other immediately triggers the endgame

  • @JPLongstreet said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/421149/this-generator-glitch-is-ridiculous

The current theory is that when a surv is sacrificed and then leaves the trial (in other words not spectating, just dips) that triggers a gen or two to pop. Could be related to number of survs and gens left to do. A suspicious mind may ask if this is some kind of catch-up mechanism accidentally being let loose.

To your question about a hotfix:

Years back they streamlined things and began to put out updates for all platforms all at the same time. To do this they have to submit it to Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo, who each separately have to certify it. That takes around 3-5 days usually, and is not free.

If it was just Steam for instance, they prolly could put out three hotfixes a week if they cared to, but it's like 8 or so platforms altogether. They simply cannot put out updates that fast, which is common for any sizable live service crossplay game.

I understand all that but just the fact they allowed something like this to happen and be on the live game right now is crazy, you would think man we probably should fix this before it's live but nope not this company, they're probably just boosting survival rates artificially to make Lara look good to the license holders, it's strange how these bugs happen randomly throughout the years when content like this drops and it just so happens to be in favor of the character they're dropping

  • I'll be mad if they don't bring it back permanently after the test run, this game really needs something new that actually sticks around in the long run instead of being a time limited thing everytime, if they tease something like that and it's a huge success and they just decide to only bring it out sometimes I would probably just uninstall this game and move on at that point I'm tired of the whole BHVR waving something fun in front of our face and just ripping away once we begin to have fun with it.

  • @TragicSolitude absolutely, all platforms should be stepping up for these people, I'm not a lawyer either but my work requires me to study areas of the law in depth to prevent my company from making mistakes that can lead to lawsuits, to be clear though I dont wish a lawsuit on this company I just hope they make it right because from the outside looking in I already see potential for this to come back on them in a bad way if they don't play their cards right on how they respond and resolve the matter.

Bingo. Why does every team I go against with Nurse and Hag perfectly know their counterplay, when I barely play those killers? Why can't I get competent teammates no matter how much I escape?

Because MMR is a placebo, truth is the range is so open once you get out of noob zone you're just thrown with everyone, I've beaten a 30k+ hr survivor squad just to turn around and get a lobby that consists of two veterans and two brand new players that don't know anything and don't even have a full loadout for that matter while using the same killer from the game before , alot of people are so comfortable with their main killers it's like second nature but if you don't switch it up often it can be easy to get rusty with some of these powers.

  • I'm not trying to condone anyone to do anything against this company but that's outright just not legal, BHVR really needs to address these people and fix this issue, from a legal standpoint they could absolutely be held liable for falsely advertising that for profits, they need to make this right and either give them a way to save their account or offer them a code for each chapter they already bought since they promised cross progression to them specifically to keep them buying and playing, it's only reasonable if they can't provide what they promised they compromise with the next best thing.

  • As a former nurse main I'll chime in, For starters you should practice controlling the blink in a custom match with no add ons to get used to her base kit and do something small like blinking to every corner of shack or at the diagnoal point of every car loop just to guage the distance you gain from blinks, One of the most important things as nurse is being able to identify what type of runner you're facing and what I mean is are they a double backer? A full sender? Some survivors will always double back on you and the best play when you notice that is to always blink to the last place you saw them when they break around a corner or wall etc.. a full sender will break LOS and try to W key as far as they can to force you into a guessing game and once you realize that predicting where they're trying to go becomes easier , the real danger comes when you're first starting out and you face a survivor who can mix it up well and it's in those games you'll fine tune your skill, you'll get bullied at first but if you tough it out you'll be ending matches in a couple minutes before you know it

  • I don't really think it was a nerf but it wasn't a buff either, the reason I say it's not a nerf because I could literally disarm a whole section of traps around a hook, gen, totem etc.. in like 1 sec with no repercussions, if I followed hag in chase with another survivor back then I could disarm every trap she set and if multiple flashlights were in play you were an m1 killer even with Franklin's because survivors could burn traps for eachother to get their items back fast so even trapping them didn't work, now anyone can disarm a trap but there's a animation and you have to individually take out traps so more time is wasted in exchange , so it's kinda a offset effect in my personal opinion

  • @supersonic853 said:

But have you heard of this:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BZCAT0EZMNRW/screenshot-20240714-143200-youtube.jpg

I assume most people have as Demi and CoconutRTS are making videos on the combo. It's pretty insane if your already having troubles with countering Franklin's and Weave attunement. Just slapping a trap with mint rag applied for added measure just gives immense rage . It's probably the only build I can see getting this combo nerfed. So I guess people can be the judge. Those who have tried this how does it feel? Personally I don't like hag that much but it might be worth a shot.

Hag is a really underrated killer, survivors used to rage on me because I would set my mouse wheel as my teleport and scroll it the entire time I'm playing so if a trap ever went off I was instantly there for a hit before they could react with the camera jerk her traps have lol, but that's a really nasty build on her if I was going for more salt though I would switch corrupt out with make your choice and really give them something to get upset about when you have mint rag with it.

  • If they did something like this it would have to be shorter for the killer like 15-20 secs of time spent for a mediocre buff just like the survivor side got, maybe just reverse it of the survivor version and make all the gens on the map explode with a 10% instant regression, get blocked for five seconds for some extra regression added, it's not OP at all lol about on par with the survivor version

  • There's several boxes that have to be checked to be considered a top tier killer , I would place him at B tier personally because while he does have sort of a way to traverse the map it's also not always guaranteed if it's dispelled while you're carrying another survivor, he has some anti loop but it's situational meaning that he doesn't just ignore all safety and can be somewhat looped if the survivor plays it right, he's got all the things that make a top tier killer but their limitations prevents him from being S tier in my opinion and being able to remove his effect mid chase also prevents that it would be like if i could look at nurse and take her second blink away that wouldve been a down otherwise

  • Welp in the first video you're bumping into like every corner of that haystack while going around it and it slows you down, at the beginning of the video when you landed the first hit you didn't have your camera in that odd angle running into every corner

In the second video you're respecting that pallet too much and taking some of your turns a little too loosely while trying to mindgame them with double backs, ultimately you mindgamed yourself and because of that more time was wasted than what had to be, with deathslinger you don't have to repect pallets because his power is at its best when you zone survivors into a situation where it's throw the pallet get shot, don't throw the pallet get m1'd and all that respecting just keeps you at the tile longer because you're trying to get a good looking hit in without getting stunned but you can't respect pallets and be a good killer in this game, survivors will eat you alive the second they realize you respect and they can just keep looping that spot on you, I'm sure you already know this from playing alot of killer but in case you dont: I would try to get in more of a zoning mindset when playing him for example you have a C wall pallet and on one side is toward edge map wall and the other side is open map, you always want to run that in a direction that puts the survivor throwing the pallet on the wall side so that way when you break the pallet they're fighting back towards the map from a dead zone instead of running freely back into the open map while you're stuck breaking a pallet, it's the small things that matter sometimes and make a real difference.

  • I don't think they need to retire 110 killers, based off the video I'm watching deathslinger may not be the killer for you, it's more of a user error than a balance issue to be blunt.

" I've ran into plenty of players who don't need slowdowns, to me that
part of it is really killer dependant on your own skill with said killer"

As I said before, there are a few killers that do not need slow down at all. That's far an away the exception though, the vast majority of the roster requires slow down to varying degrees depending which killer we're talking. If someone's playing a low tier killer and they're winning without slow down then the survivors are bad. It is what it is. That's facts. If they were equally good they would need slow down. The vast majority of players being bad gives a false illusion of slow down being not as required. I'm referencing good vs good for my opinions here, not average games where everyone's bad.

"you'll see more survivor complaints because there are more survivor
players but overall they both change the game for the worse by the devs
simply listening to players they shouldn't be listening to due to their
refusal to want to learn the other side properly instead of just
    complain"

    I agree.

I don't think the rest of your post addresses any of my points or even attempts to refute them. You said I was being bias, I'd like examples or references to support that claim and we can converse on it.

I've beaten good squads without a slowdown and low tier killer it's frustrating I won't lie but it's totally possible and you cant always call those survivors bad I wouldn't say the ones that lost to the perkless p100 trapper recently are necessarily bad survivors I think in DBD anything can happen if you play your cards right.

As for the bias you pretty much just agreed with what I said , the way your first post sounded it seemed as if you placed the blame solely on survivor only players that's what I was referring to but you agreed with my statement about it being both sides not just one so I'm just gonna chalk it up to a misunderstanding because if you agree it's both sides then you must not mean what I was thinking

"I was referring to where you were saying that slowdown is required in the game, it's not required but alot of people use them"

For good players no, stacked 4 slow downs is not required, but the game is in fact balanced around some slow down, generally speaking. The game is not balanced around zero slow down, regardless of how good you are, unless you are on one of the few very high tier killer exceptions to the rule. This is generally agreed upon by most all the community, this isn't really a debated point.

"as to the bias part I do think if you call survivor only players out and
blame them for the staleness that it is bias but that's just a personal
opinion there because I believe players on both roles have their fair
share in accomplishing that, killers complaining about perks/new things
in general that don't need nerfed the same way those survivors do about
killers it all goes hand in hand to create that staleness we have it's
    not just survivors,."

You are misunderstanding what I was saying. Yes, killer players complain just as much as the survivors. I was not saying otherwise. What I was saying is how much justification is in those complaints between the two sides. This is in reference to meta perks or features that were complained about and then nerfed. IE many of the survivor meta things that were complained about and then nerfed, were in fact very overtuned. While some of the killer stuff does meet that criteria, the majority did not. Hence why I asked that if you disagree with that statement, then list some examples that you think contradict it and I will lay my points out. This is not bias as I can give you reasons to justify why they are "generally speaking", not the same.

I don't consider myself one of the best killers this game has but I've played comp and ladder for years I've ran into plenty of players who don't need slowdowns, to me that part of it is really killer dependant on your own skill with said killer, as to the complaints part that's where you're misunderstanding where I'm going with this, I'm saying both roles have players who aren't skilled due to lack of intelligence playing the other role and they make complaints that bring upon changes that neither side really enjoys when it comes to veteran players or people who understand, you'll see more survivor complaints because there are more survivor players but overall they both change the game for the worse by the devs simply listening to players they shouldn't be listening to due to their refusal to want to learn the other side properly instead of just complain

You misuse the word bias, as most people do. Pointing out one sides issues more doesn't imply bias. Bias would entail an "unfair" tilt. If one side has more issues or one side experiences something more, pointing that out doesn't make them bias, it just may mean there's more issues on that said side.

If you think it is equally represented for the same reason on each side then please, list the equivalent amount and we can discuss, because I think you're picturing apples to apples when it's actually apples and oranges. I'm more than happy to elaborate as to why as well if you do.

I have very rational reasons for all my opinions, they aren't "bias".

" if you HAVE to stack all slow downs as a killer then the player is
boosted just like a survivor stacking all second chance perks because
they can't play without them, that comes down to a skill issue for the
people that feel they can't play without those things."

I never said this or implied it. I can rephrase my statement if it seemed that way. Also, the game is balanced around the average/bad player, ie mentioning a good player wouldn't need those is pointless. Unless you're wanting to get into how the game should be, as I don't want the game balanced that way, it's just how it currently is.

I was referring to where you were saying that slowdown is required in the game, it's not required but alot of people use them and I agree they should be there as an option for people who want to use them, as to the bias part I do think if you call survivor only players out and blame them for the staleness that it is bias but that's just a personal opinion there because I believe players on both roles have their fair share in accomplishing that, killers complaining about perks/new things in general that don't need nerfed the same way those survivors do about killers it all goes hand in hand to create that staleness we have it's not just survivors,.

  • I play killer anonymously because sometimes you'll have some salty people you beat as your teammate and back when you couldn't hide your name I would have people occasionally sandbagging me in survivor games for revenge

I mean he really isn't in a good spot if people get frustrated with playing him. Maybe he is where the devs want him to be but the devs don't seem to be interested in making trapper a viable killer at all levels for the reasons you mentioned. I think it's a shame. The starting killer does not have to be bad so people buy better killers. I mean Tracer in overwatch is the mascot character but she's good at every level

It's not that the devs intend for him to be bad I mean just look at what that perkless trapper did recently against good survivors can't mention the names but if you know you know lol the devs just want his power to be extremely easy to grasp the concept of so someone can get used to the basic m1 chase of the game because when they start out they're in a lower matchmaking pool they haven't hit the soft cap of the regular players yet so they're playing with other new players and learning chase skills, the devs keep him basic though so you'll get interested at the other killer powers having more to them than just traps

  • I'm gonna say this but people will probably disagree with me, I don't believe anyone here is intentionally wanting to do any harm to anyone as far as what happens in the game even if they are seeming like they want you to have a miserable time.

The problem comes down to the standard gameplay itself being very stale I mean if you're in a decent squad then rushing gens is gonna get boring just like playing Blight or nurse every game and sweating as killer will get boring, gens are 90 seconds a piece in one place holding a button, eventually people want to do more and try to experiment ideas with perk builds to see if they can come up with unkillable combos, killers will do the same except combos to end the game as fast as possible with nurse or Blight, I know for a fact people hated me when I was attempting the fastest 4k on nurse for a while, but as far as intentionally wanting someone to be affected no I don't think anyone here wants to harm anyone.

People need to remember this is a video game and people will go outside the normal for fun just to continue playing a game they might like or the only game they might have friends on, if you're carrying personal feelings into a video game then that's the problem.
