Arnt the depip squad all extremly good survivors?
Why should we balance around a 4man swf that are all really good at the game?
They aren't even all that good they just did the objectives back when literally EVERYTHING was survivor sides, look at all the nerfs since those videos it's not even the same game

one phrase debunks your opinion with data and video evidence: "depip squad videos"
Oh please not the depip squad argument again when there were infinites, Bnp and instaheals broken, and healing or fast vaults hadn't been nerfed yet it's hardly comparable, you ever wonder why when Marth88 started a comeback with the depip squad it tanked and they never went through with it? He even advertised the comeback on YouTube and still yet to see the comeback

The entire point of the perk is an endgame build synergy perk, and rubberband mechanics in this style of game isn't a problem.
I realize that I'm just stating the fact that fire up is very weak , sure it's good for throwing off flashlight timing and doing a few things quicker but you might as well not run it at all when 3 gens have to pop to get good use of it , there are plenty of other perks that are a better choice and if you gave it more of a use at the start you would see more people actually use the perk instead of the same ol same ol build, but that's just my opinion we all have one
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Just make it 1% more effective. @TWiXT already explained why that makes it viable.
Yea but I dont agree with it, it's a good idea dont get me wrong but you shouldn't have to be losing the game to benefit from a perk that's already not very strong

I wish survivors did gens more so I can abuse fire up and stomp them.
They should honestly make it backwards and start with the % at maximum and as the gens get popped bring it back to normal , its really not that strong and you have to basically be losing to gain a benefit from it
-
@MusicNerd_TC said:
That perk is so OP, the only way to counter it, Is by not doing gens.
Lol dont troll the bots they already dont do gens as is they dont need another reason not to

I ran Lightborn the other day vs 3 flashlights. LOTS of easy downs.
Lol I'll bet, I like to use fire up sometimes to throw off the timing and make them waste time thinking they can get it because I dont have lightborn on , it can become slug city really quick!

First of all, no one is defending Moris in their current state. No one. Not even killer mains.
Second, Moris have nothing to do with DS as they are unrelated. DS won't prevent a Mori so the current state of DS doesn't affect Mori and vice versa. Keys are the survivor equivalent of a Mori, and if you want to talk about Moris, then lets put Keys on the table.
If you want a comparison to DS, then Noed is the closest thing. Both are perks that are bad for the game and reward bad play on each side.
Finally, I'd be on board for DS, Noed, Moris, and Keys all being reworked/nerfed hard. I've got my own ideas on how, but I'll save that for another thread.
Ok but DS does have to do with moris because ds in a locker is practically the only counter to killer who tunnels you, and for people saying good killers dont tunnel watch a DBD tournament and you'll see tunneling every game just because it's no perks doesn't change how broken tunneling can be against a killer who's top tier, add a mori into the equation and against a good killer you might as well throw your controller down not everyone on your team is always gonna be a loop god , and even if people say good killers dont need them it doesn't change the fact that if they do bring them ds can buy you more time in the trial by hopping in a locker to cancel it I saw someone wanting that gone in this very thread, I'm not trying to insult in any way just stating that ds in it's current state is needed to combat a tunneling killer with a mori
-
@MongolPSR said:
your solution to the broken perk is a singular killer. This isn't a killer choice problem its a universal problem. I gave you a very legitimate example and you respond with choose a different killer.
Ds is fine the way it is until ebony moris are nerfed , you want to nerf a easily countered perk but want to stay silent about how broken moris are , they literally have no counter except ds in a locker or "DoNt GeT hOoKeD" , "DoNt gO DoWn" it's a joke at this point to see nerf ds on the forums after 4 years , the old DS was way worse than the current version
-
As long as ebony moris exist in the game with the same conditions they currently have to achieve it then DS is balanced

Flashlight saves are so inconsistent when it says you blind them but they don't get dropped bad design by the devs
That means you were too early you have to wait until the survivor is about chest level about to be on the shoulder when you click
-
@Buttercake said:
Oh by the way. All the blinds were done by event flashlights. I wasn't able to blind with normal ones.
That doesn't make any sense, all flashlights work the same except for battery life between colors and the green one giving better accuracy , there is a bug right now with certain Male characters that makes your flashlight useless the whole match because anytime you click it will just point straight at the ground even if you're looking up in the sky

I've definitely done that before, and it has won me some games. But I've had many more where I couldn't get any use out of pop goes the weasel cause any hits I would land would end in a long enough chase for the last gens to pop. If I don't commit, they just heal-up and work on other gens. If I swat them away from the other gens, another pops since simply kicking them does very little. I'm damned if I commit, damned if I don't. It's frustrating to say the least, and I can kinda see why some killers run NOED just so they can stop this kinda stuff.
Yea its definitely a strategy that once started you have to stick to pretty tight, it can be frustrating for constant healing but they'll eventually ignore healing for the gen , in bad games I'm having I can usually pull off at least a 2k regardless if I stick to it

I've been considering Freddy, but the other three have various things about them I dislike a ton. At the same time though, I don't particularly want to stop playing these killers honestly (though I definitely don't play Legion as much as the rest).
The best advice I can give is once they've popped those two gens find the four closest generators and guard them not committing too heavily on a chase just smack and go , before you know it you'll have the pressure back , most of the time survivors will rush so hard they dont realize they've throttled themselves until it's too late , some people will argue that it's not a good strategy but if you're not a top tier killer who has mobility , planning for the endgame ahead of time can pull you out of a bad situation
-
Bbq, infectious fright, nurses calling, corrupt intervention
-
Most common mistake people make not aiming before you click, if you click and then aim you will be all over the place and waste your flashlight , try blinding at pallets for practice unless its spirit or hag and you'll eventually get it
-
It's been like that since the games release, this is nothing new they will never fix it, I swear I think they keep a certain number of bugs in game just to have something to talk about between chapters with the community and excuse to stay involved

I don't get his hate, he is a very nice and down to earth guy, and a lot of the people that hate him just provide strawman arguments against him. He always brings up very good points on why he thinks said killer is underrated. But, there will inevitably be hate.
I dont hate the dude but just dont agree with his opinions in every aspect, or sometimes he posts a video acting like "he" found this build but in reality you've seen it a thousand times before he even made the video

There are two types of stealthy players:
- Those who do nothing the entire trial except stay hidden then take an easy hatch/gate that everyone else worked for.
- Those who stay hidden, but help with all the objectives (including totems and unhooks).
Both are looked down upon, but for very different reasons.
Nobody likes 1 for obvious reasons - they don't help.
The reason some people don't like 2, however, is much different. See, the majority of players are under the (mistaken) impression that you absolutely need to loop if you're going to play survivor. Since 2 not only don't loop (because they're never spotted) but also contribute to all the objectives and usually survive (because they're never hooked), it angers some of those same people; after all, 2 are doing things differently and succeeding, which shouldn't be possible.
The only thing I dislike about the 2nd group is that if you have more than one with that playstyle the game will come to a standstill because the killer will just patrol gens until they find you and most of the time (but not always) those players with that style cant run the killer so its usually a quick down when it does happen
-
It takes zero skill to run spine chill and urban (perks you say you run ) and hide from the killer all game while everyone else has to carry you to victory , the people who are running the killer are giving you a chance to have that playstyle in the first place by occupying more of the killers time while gens are done otherwise everyone would be crouching the whole game and nothing would get done, you want to know why they shouldn't rank up? Get 4 people on the same team who try to be stealthy and avoid the killer. I'll bet more than 2 gens won't get done if someone isn't keeping the killer focused.

If you think nurse is not the best killer in the game, you need to git gud. A good nurse still steamrolls survivors. They do need to fix her bugs however.
Her fatigue is too much with the blink reduction they gave her , you can say git Gud all you want I know I'm not the best but only bot survivors get steamrolled on this game survivor is EZ mode , the gen times are so broken
-
@Akito said:
So your point is that you agree that nurse is actually hard to play and is also very punishing missplays?
Yea that seems kinda right. If you wanna be a master of the only killer that has the potential to kill all 4 every game it should be very very difficuilt.
Agreed!
Nurse arguably isn't even the best killer anymore , with omega blink nerfed and the number of blinks at 2 (unless you want to throw on the garbage add on for one extra blink without being able to blink through walls )the slower movement speed, the fatigue , on top of those nerfs made it to where you cant make even a couple of mistakes without losing the game

While were on the topic of Nurse blinks I have a question. I was a good nurse before the rework but after I'm reduced to "okay" nurse.
1: When I am traveling the map to find people should I be using both blinks or saving 1?
2: Once I find someone and if there is no way 2 blinks will close enough distance to land a hit. Should I use both blinks to catch up and recharge or use only one to catch up then blink twice to try to land a hit?
my strategy is to blink right behind where the survivor was because most will double back from corners or walls and if you're double blinking everywhere I want you to record your match and go back with a stopwatch and count how much time you spent staring at the ground recovering from blinks, unless they're ridiculously far away (which you should question the chase over gen patrol) you dont want to use the second blink unless you know you're gonna be in position to land a hit otherwise they've gained a mile ahead of you while you're looking at the ground , sometimes it's ok to blink once and move around without blinking for a short period just to pick when the right time to blink is , nurse needs less of a fatigue time for her blinks in all honesty and the fact that using her power too much can hurt in the long run is a joke its ridiculous to have to keep track of all the things just to work properly as a nurse on top of the game going on
-
The thing about playing nurse is that if you blink too much , you spend most of the match staring at the ground that can actually add up to a gen or more worth of time, the key is learning when and when not to use your second blink and always blink behind where you last see the survivor because 9/10 times they will try to double back on you around a wall or corner, if they aren't doubling back they're most likely not looking behind them and full sending it in one direction which then its usually easier to catch survivors because they dont know where your gonna blink or how long you've held the blink etc... as for gen rush even some of the best pc nurses get beat by this theres no way around it with a coordinated SWF who focuses on gens you're pretty much SOL even if you slug it just takes one unbreakable to completely turn the tide the other way

@AlbinoViera said:
So THIS is why they've been nerfing killers and ignoring things like stridor making people quiet. They wanna use the powercreep to sell this new one to more people.
Honestly the ruin nerf is exactly what the killers needed to get the buffs they deserve, all these killers who have problems with map pressure are gonna stick out like sore thumbs on the stat sheet , taking ruin away leads the way for all killers to be viable eventually

perk combination does not measure someone's cap of skill you person
And about git gud, when killer gives his best and plays well, deservers 3 kills at least, they ds and say git gud. So don't talk to me that way at all, you act like you play this game in parallel universe.
I've played this game for three years I don't know it all but I know enough to realize that if it's in the game it's what's intended for the time being and if you can't handle a perk combo then perhaps it is you who should git gud

the first who get's paired into the game is the one who owns the ability to equip ds. In case first person doesn't second will equip it, third and fourth can equip any other perk. Why not to restrict op perks to only one player?
Well, I payed for the unfinished game, full of bugs, I have bought all the dlc's, I've been hit trough the window even tho I started running after I vaulted it, my dead hard doesn't work, I get gen rushed all the time because maps are trash. I already explained myself on some other topic but I believe mods deleted it because they can't stand facts. Like clown devs.
We payed for many things and they got nerfed, so I really don't understand why you noobs can't live without ds. :)
Maybe you should just git gud.
So let me get this straight.... You're the one telling someone else to "Git Gud" but YOU'RE the one complaining about a perk combination being OP?
The irony lmao
-
I don't think this will be the case, I look for a few of the bottom tier killers to start getting a rework one by one to be more viable and have powers that synergize better with the current state of the game
-
All these people crying because they claim killer has been getting nerfed....have you missed the last 2 years of patch notes? Survivors have been nerfed at every corner up until ruin got touched and now its all of a sudden that only killers get nerfed? Lmao what a salty bunch of babies I seriously wish I could bring back the game for one day when it was seriously unfair to even play killer back in 2016 so you could see unbalanced , as for Gen times they don't need to be touched but survivors should need to complete a small objective to begin starting gens , both sides have every tool they need to compete on a level field but just how survivors can just immediately spawn by the Gen and then if you walk the wrong way at the beginning it pops, that's the only real issue but there is also a counter and that's planning for the endgame , if a gen or two pops and you don't have momentum then you need to pick the four closest gens and start protecting them like it's already down to 1 gen and you will win almost Everytime , you as a killer have the ability to control where the endgame will happen if you play correctly
